Sickly Tyrannical

It's going to very very graphic with a lot of violence. If it ain't your cup of tea then please leave. It's a story about " love" of the mentally ill. All characters are pitiful as hell and yet the story makes you read more of it. It's like that Korean manhwa killing stalking. Nothing good is happening, everything is wrong and yet you keep on reading because you are morbidly fascinated.

Good quality novel. (Hard to believe that the translator MTLed it and them did their magic on it. It takes talent to make mtl comprehensive. You Won't even notice that it's mtl.). This novel is addictive. It's like reading a fairytale. You how the story is going to go and you don't get bored reading it because it so beautifully written. Chapters before chapter 8 are pretty simple plot wise compared to the chapters 8 and above. The chapters start to become waaaaay more long than the initial chapters... more>> and more heavy with plot.

As the summary explained, the MC is forced into a 'world' by the 'god' of that world and is forced to play the villians in multiple universes. He cannot change the plot and has to play the perfect villain, only then he will be allowed to go home. And as we already know how the end of the villian is in a novel, it's no surprise that the MC, after suffering and doing things that mentally broke him, became ruthless. He has spent thousands of years in this fake world, playing the role every sort of villian you have ever read about. He slowly regains control over his life and starts to disrupt the power of the 'god' so that he could go home.

The story proceeds in arcs where in each arc he is reincarnated as a person who suffered due to the actions of the protagonists, be it a connon fodder, love rival or the main villian. Then he goes about making the lives of those protagonists hell and fulfilling wishes of the bodies he has reincarnated into.

What I really appreciate about this novel is that through its many arcs focusing on the common and uncommon storylines, we get to see that be it a protagonist or antagonist, every one is capable of good and every one is capable of doing bad. It highlighted how in thier quest to be successful, the protagonists of a story in thoughtlessly destroy the lives of others. How sometimes they just go too far andd do more inhumane things than a villian.

The plot is nice. The characters are nice. The MC is OP but it's pretty obvious why. The ML is nothing new, the cold hearted ML of BL novels. But surprisingly, he is really passionate about the MC and might be a bit of a masochist. He is very mature. And really REALLY obsessed with the MC. You'll understand as you will read the novel.

Also I've noticed a few people uncomfortable by the fact that MC most of the times is only around 18 years old physically while the ML is near 30. I wish for you to bear in mind, the MC is thousands of years older than the ML mentally. Had it not been for the ML being older and more mature, the MC wouldn't even look at the poor guy.

1000% recommended. The translation speed is really good. It's a good fun read. Take your time to enjoy it ;) <<less

I'm very disappointed after the 120+ chapters. I'm telling why and it contains spoilers. The uncontolable hypocrisy and the sheer lack of morals in the new chapters shocked me. The author went too far. I don't know what they were thinking. How is it a 13 year old child getting married to her own rapist is okay? I loved the MC before this incident. But after the 110+ chapters, I feel like she has lost all humanity that she had in mordern world. She is now no better that the... more>> people she is trying to defeat. Her husband ordered her 13 yr old cousin to get married to her own rapist. She didn't speak up even though she knew that her cousin was going to go through hell. Her thoughts ? " You shouldn't have angered my husband". Later on, her half sister got raped by beggers due to the plotting of another person trying to frame her. In this instance, she acts all shocked and thinks that although she wants to destroy her half sister, she would have never wanted to destroy her chastity as it is important in the ancient world. They are both women after all and she was a police officer before, she would not want to see someone get raped.... She is more offended that someone tried to frame her.

look at this hypocrite. This very words make me realize that she no longer is what she used to be. For her it's okay if a woman gets raped if it's her husband ordering it. It seems love made her stupid. She is no longer the strong woman with a good sense of morality that I used to love. it seems after getting married, she just stopped being the strong woman she was.....

The ML MLis nothing new newto Chinese novels, the same old super intelligent, handsome, OP and "I like to s*xually assult the woman I love". The villians are stupid with little to some character development.

I know MC doesn't always have to be an angel on earth and the ML doesn't have to be the sweet guy but after 120+ chaps the plot just.... It's not something I can handle.

I am surprised by the response of the readers. They are trying to defend the ML and MC. They say all the women who got raped in this novel, they deserved it. They are okay with a 13 yr old child getting raped. I'm disgusted by the " it's the fault of the victim " mindset.

Anyway it was an entertaining read for me the 110+ chapters or so even though it was a slow plot development. It is well translated. I would recommend to read till chap 110 or so (if you hate the same things as me) <<less

The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System

Complete and utter crack... The plot is something you might have seen before, the normal human hating the plot of a novel transmigrates into the the novel as villain. In most of the novels the MC strives to change himself and not be like the villain. Now the plot twist in this novel is that he is not allowed to act ooc. If he acts too much ooc then he can die. This plot twist has lead to many interesting situations. Very funny characters till now.

I'm enjoying reading this.

The... more>> translation is well done too. Let's see how the novel proceeds. <<less

Evil-Natured Husband, Don’t Tease!

I dislike both the MC and ML. I have no idea what sort of idiotic things goes on in their mind to lead them to do such idiotic actions. Too much BS and unnecessary drama full of plot holes. I could handle it for a few chapters but I wasn't enjoying reading it. This novel had huge potential. I have been following it since the first chapter and after each chapter I felt disappointed. Tbh I cannot see myself supporting their pairing. Rather, they should have a divorced already !... more>> Why stay when the relationship is so poisonous ! The MC just cannot seem to move on from her past life. In fact it seems that she doesn't even wants to. She clings to it. Lady you need to move on ! It may seem hard but she isn't even trying ! This has been hindering her life in the present. And yet such an obvious thing she is slow to realize. She hates the ML yet doesn't do ANYTHING to get divorced. You know where the problem lies yet you do nothing to solve it. In my books, that's an idiot. she wants to lead a peaceful life, I don't see her doing much to achieve it.

Both the characters have sh*tty personalities. Let's not even talk about the side characters and the 'villans'. At this point it seems as though the villians are forced to be the most villainous. The only reason they exist is because of the stupid ML's stupid mistakes. There is poor character development. even the main characters are not properly developed.

100 chapters in yet nothing substantial happened in the plot. The only main thing I learned is that the MC doesn't mind being suicidal to get revenge. Also that the ML has the lowest emotional quotient in the world. How is showing love to your beloved and cheating on them is the same thing ?! I don't get his thought process. His actual intelligence shines through at some points but most of the time I'm left baffled by his actions. He has SOME good morals (they are few in between though). Their mind works in ways that doesn't involve common sense. How is one a CEO of his own company and another a war princess in her previous life, I don't know !?. Like literally looking at her actions currently, not doing anything to get a divorce, I'm not surprised that she was betrayed in her previous life. She probably saw the problems arising in her previous life, but she didn't do anything and hence got betrayed by that sh*tty lover of her previous life. She supposedly is a strong woman with strong personality, but I've read chu wangfie, The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage, the MCs of these novels are what we call woman with strong personalities who have stood strong through wars. The MC of this novel unfortunately seems to be a broken person who was maybe someone strong in her past life.

Maybe I'm being too harsh. And I'm venting out my frustrations with this novel. I followed it from chapter one hoping that it will get better, but it didn't get much better. The translation is okay.

Anyway, I dislike this novel. but if you like this type of plot, then please go ahead and read. Maybe you'll like it better than I did. Maybe it gets better in the future. Many people have rated it a five. Some call this story cute.... It's your choice whether you want to read it or not. :/ <<less

I’ll Live My Second Life!

The novel is hilarious. Following the MC as she leads her "second" life is so fun. She is a really head strong person. It was a wonderful read. Bad news is, after c97 it got picked up by a new translator. Its machine translated after c97 and very very hard to read due to poor editing. I am forced to drop this novel because I can't make sense of this translation. But till c97 the translation is wonderful. Definitely recommend. Hope a new translator picks it up.

The only reason I'm rating this a 4 is because I have to reread the chapters multiple times to understand the story. I don't think it's the fault of the translator as two translators have picked up this work and the story was still a little hard to comprehend at some points. From what I've heard the author used traditional Japanese (if that makes any sense) and its harder to translate to English. But kudos for the plot. I like the MC and every single character ! It's a... more>> really fun read and the plot is very unique. The story is not flowery at all as in it isn't your typical shoujo story. The romance is very little till the first arc too. I'm in love with every character. The characters are nicely developed and I might be in a little bit awe of the MC. She is cute in her own poisonous way. As the story proceeds mainly in her perspective, you get to experience her unique thought process and love her some more. <<less

101% recommend. This is one of the best otome game transmigration stories out there. Very nice plot with good character development. Each character is very likeable. The MC especially is a very level headed and has a clear view of what she wants. She isn't dense like other MC's of otome novels. Regarding the yandere part, it's there but not the focus of the story. The plot progresses in such a way that you are forced to come back and wish for new chapters.

I really liked it !!! There were a lot of plot twists and it was really well written and translated ! Its similar to FOD in the way that there is transmigration and disrupting the protagonist but in a more detailed way than FOD.. A very entertaining read !!

The plot is amazing. The world building is amazing. It isn't too focused (yet) on the romance. The plot progresses beautifully. It's the kind that even the non BL lovers would read. Very plot driven. I was at the edge of my seat with excitement. The novel doesn't censor. The gruesome parts are explicitly written down. There are deaths, killing and generally badassery.

The main characters are interesting. The MC is kind of down to earth. He is intelligent but is not emotionless. He is logical and human. I... more>> like him. The ML so far is a block of ice but an intelligent and badass block of ice. From the hints, the ice is going to be melting soon and things are going to be very steamy. The side characters are very interesting too.

One of the best plot driven BL novels out there. 101% recommended. No go read it. :) <<less

Really really tragic story. It is really well written and very emotional. It's nicely translated too but there might be some inconsistencies in the translation as there seems to be two different groups translating it. Anyway, a must recommend for for anyone who likes reading tragedy. It's a twisted story which will leave you frustrated in the end because because you cannot do anything to remove the pain of the characters.

Will certainly give you diabetes es with how fluffy and sweet it is.

The MC is the oresama type of character. Kinda dense but his attitude towards life is so confident 😂. I love him. The ML is very nice too. Cares a lot for the MC. Seems to be a tsundere.

This novel is good for some light reading and laughs. Amazing 😂.

Simple story with very simple plot. It has no major antagonist and no major drama. It flows really well. I liked the MC. She is someone you can associate with. Not too talkative and comes off as a bit love struck and stupid at times (even though she is intelligent) . But she is a normal and hardworking girl. She doesn't like to flaunt her good points and likes to lead an easy life. The main lead has a bit of a dark side but is an overall likable... more>> character. He is OP like all male leads of shoujo genre. They fell in love with no major obstruction to their relationship. The side characters are amusing too. And the side storys are really funny.I really enjoyed reading it. It's one of those books where you don't have to wonder about the conspiracies and the nail biting drama. It has a light hearted slice of life flow. If you are here for some exciting read with loads of action and drama then this is not for you. If you are here for some light hearted read that gives you fluffy warm feeling then I recommend this to you. <<less

This is freaking awesome. I did not expect it to be so good. Highly recommended.

This is the 2nd novel I'm reading translated by snowy codex. They do an amazing job at translating.

FYI, the translators don't post the chaps here on novel updates even if they have already translated the chap, cuz its still unedited. So you might think that there are only a small no. Of chaps, there are actually a lot more.

The novel is very nicely written and translated. Plot too is nice and interesting.
Spoiler

The MC is a commoner who died and then put in the body of a saint who who had just committed suicide. Both are from the same world. The MC's soul will remain in her body till the original saint's soul recovers as the saint cannot ever die through suicide since that will be disastrous for the world. Plot twist, the saint, contrary contrary to the people's view of her, has a really horrid personality and has done a lot of bad deeds. Every one around her hates her. So the MC decides to correct all the mistakes and horrible things done by the original saint while the MC is her body.

[collapse]
The plot is interesting. I would have loved to read more if the MC wasn't the most timid and morally sound person. I do not like MCs like that. I find it irritating to read such MCs. Always wanting to do the right thing and believing the world to be black and white. While later on in the story she does see the grey part of the world but she still is too timid. And always ALWAYS does the right thing. :/ But if you are okay with such an MC then go ahead and read it. It's a really interesting story. 100% recommended.

WARNING FLUFF overdose! most probably due to the low EQ of a lot of the characters and a lot of misunderstandings but the novel is not lacking in fluff at all !

It's not the typical transmigration story that we are familiar with. The MC is an actual normal person who transmigrates. She isn't OP, not in the typical sense. Her help is not some legendary creature or divine space but an actual * le gasp* spoiler. The male lead isn't the typical cold hearted male lead as well. He is... more>> quite adorable kuudere. Everyone has the typical mindset of the ancient times so as a modern person with modern thoughts, you might get a bit uncomfortable at some points (a very small amount of points though). I would like to warn you that the romance is slow going because the MC is D.E.N.S.E as hell. She gets scared too easily and has little to no interest in believing that the ML might have some feelings for her instead of the original female lead inspite of the lead female and ML being at odds with each other. The lady doesn't seem to understand her presence itself has made the world drastically different from the original story of the novel she transmigrates into. She is adorable though. And too delicate. And really really frustrating. She is the type of person I would enjoy reading about in novels but rather not meet in real life bacuse they are always stupidly troublesome. You'll understand if you read the novel. The characters the well developed and not one dimensional. No ' villian' yet... Kinda.

The best thing about this novel (aside from the amazing translators) are the fans. They are so done with the MCs denseness and the constant c***blocking of the the ML that to vent their frustration they have resorted to leaving hilarious fanfics as reviews. Really worth a read (even if the the denseness and the slow romantic progress can make you want to tear your hair out at times). <<less

To all the whiners, shounen ai = boy X boy| male X male | yaoi | gay and everything in between. Its there in the tags. Shounen Ai is the milder form of yaoi. Don't like it ? Don't read it. And learn about the tags for God's sake. Don't like anything homos*xual ? Then stay away from Yaoi, Yuri, shounen ai and shoujo ai tags. Stupid people who don't know about the tags and then leave bad reviews even though it's their own stupidity. 😐😐😐

Moving on. Its not... more>> a bad novel per se but I've definitely read better. Started off promising but on the latter chapters became rushed. There was a sudden shift to romcom in the latter chapters. Its good for a light reading. Don't look too deeply into the plot. <<less

This is a good light hearted novel. Very funny and silly at times too. It made me laugh multiple times.

If you are here for some serious story then this might not be for you. Its very funny and unrestrained. The MC is a bit dense but her thought process is really funny and at times makes you question if she really is sane. But she is hilarious. Her and the emperor's interactions are really funny too.

If you want to nitpick then the only negative in it might be the multiple... more>> double standards and at times infuriating character. The double standards though are present in every novel based on ancient history. So I guess every one is used to it.

But I highly enjoyed reading it. :) <<less
