Strong pedo-vibes.

Like, the MC might be thirty in his head, but his body is 13, looking like he's 10 due to malnutrition.

And this is the body the currently 18y/o ML is lusting over. Like secretly touching and getting a boner over.

Yeah, more than a little creepy.

I keep on wanting to pull the MC aside and giving him "the uncle" talk.

Three stars for good character and world building, -2 stars for creepy shota molestation.

Love love love it!

There's plot! Actual, living, breathing plot! And characterization! Real characters with flaws and personal reasoning and growth. Not 2D templates. Even the cannon fodders have a bit of dimension.

The romance is correctly put second to surviving in a science defying new reality while protecting themselves from shady organizations and even shadier "transmigrators" while trying to lead "normal" lives. But it also not so distant as to be ambiguous. Truely a lovely balancing act.
This is going into my "BEST" list for sure.

I'm obsessed with this novel.

I haven't fangirled over ANYTHING in a looooong while, but now I find myself hoarding fan art, hunting down spoilers, watching the anime episodes and re-reading the novel and manhua over and over again....

It's become a problem.

... more>> I crave listening to the opening and ending song now.

This thing has everything. Excellent plot, gut-busting humor, ridiculous character development and world building, mystery, adventure, exciting fight scenes, non-stereotypical romance, adorable fluffiness balanced with heart wrenching pathos. It damn near perfect.

The only thing bad I could say about it is the flash-backs are overused as a plot device, but even then you get sucked in to the story they paint and are definitely necessary to the plot.

If an official english version came out, i'd buy it in a heartbeat. <<less

Finally! A female protagonist who isn't dumb! Who isn't weak! And who isn't obsessed with love! Chie, you are the MC I've been looking for all my otaku life. She treats people like actual people not harem gags. She's genuinely likable. And the story... There's an actual plot! Its not just OP world building or point-less slice of life! Things are moving in a purposeful direction! Its not the most exciting, funny, or moving story I've ever read but, my god, its satisfying not to be reading the same old... more>> tropes
My only regret is you don't have more mofumofu time with your unicorn. <<less

The Long Chase for the President’s Spouse

This is awful. Like truely terrible writing. I wasted way too much time on this.
The characters are 2D. The plot is all over the place. Every shojo cliche in the book. Fiancée, love rivals, stupid misunderstandings, estranged parents, etc. etc.
Its not even funny. Or s*xy.

There's places where the author literally copy and pasted passages from earlier chapters. Or spends most of a chapter explaining another yaoi (sekai-ichi hatsukoi). The parent thing had me nearly throwing my phone in rage.

I never give 1 stars to anything. I usually go... more>> by the principal of "if you've got nothing nice to say..."

But please, do yourself a favor and skip this one if you have any taste in writing at all.

Kudos to the translators for good translating, but I'm not sure its worth their time. <<less

This is really really good.

I might be a little premature on my evaluation, but so far it's really really good.

I've read many hundreds of light novels now, and very few have made it onto my best list. Less than 10. This one is a contender.

... more>> It's funny in a terrible way, but the MC is super relatable. The world building is amazing, which, considering it's quick transmigration style, is quite the feat. Each arc so far has been its own little gem of a world.

The plot is unique to its genre and super exciting. I literally had sweat rolling down my back in excitement and anxiety at the climax of the merman arc.
If the backstory of the ML is everything that has been hinted at, it's for sure going to be an absolute delight to read.

Can't wait to read more! <<less

Far From You

Ending is a little abrupt and a tiny bit confusing.

Seems the ML is special forces because of some special ability that increases his overall abilities, but also occasionally turns him beserk mode. This ability hurt the MC when they were young. ML forgot all about MC in his guilt.

MC does have feelings for ML all along, but refuses to respond to ML until he remembers their childhood. He also think ML betrayed his feelings by falling for the MC's older brother.

MC studied physics [why physics and not medicine I'll never know] to stabilize his lover's condition.

None of this info is 100% evident until the very last chapter, so it feels a bit like they just slapped an ending on. <<less

I’m Scattering IQ to the Protagonist

Its not great.

The MC is supposedly super smart and awesome, but everything comes so easily to him that he just comes off as sarcastic and arrogant. His system is cute but annoying and does everything the MC says with minimum resistance.

And the ML is indeed in need of IQ. Because everytime the MC is around he becomes an idiot. See my earlier comment of everything comes too easily to MC.

I'm still gonna read it, cause who knows, it might get better. But right now it's just a fluff mary sue... more>> story. <<less
