It has one of the most intricate plots and almost every character is fleshed out, though the author doesn't spend much time on less significant characters who were equally intriguing and can leave you wondering what happened with them. Even the author admits this, but through the MC's POV, where the MC neglects these characters.

Also, although this is a reverse harem story, the MC will disappoint and the whole premise of the Princess she took over is poured down the drain. If you read this expecting something progressive and flirtatious, don't. However I do recommend reading this for the exquisite plot writing.

Every chapter is a mystery that leaves you wanting for more and every time you think you understand what's going on as a reader, the result will stun you, literally making you experience getting played with by the male protagonist as much as the MC.

All the side characters will earn their place and present a much much bigger picture like a jigsaw and have their own attractive points.

However, the MC's character development is disappointing. If you're looking for an MC who would change for the better, this one won't. While it looks like she matured through adversity, her base development did not change at all from how the story started and her behavior can be frustrating and hypocritical.
But she can be considered a very average and relatable character, being so normal in her reactions, to a reader I suppose.

Just don't get your hopes up for liking the MC, like I did. You will like the rest of the cast though.

A Mistaken Marriage Match: Record of Washed Grievances

An extremely comfortable read - there's a balance of intrigue, comedy and dash of action (though less than GoMC) that keeps you going through the chapters without feeling worn out.

It weaves well with its sequel, not necessarily just from Zhou Qing's POV but also supplementing missing scenes that cannot be found in GoMC and explaining how certain events happened. In a way, it makes you curious about the other two novels to find out what happened on the other sisters' side of the story, without leaving gaping holes in the... more>> main character's story.

There really isn't much to spoil and most of the reason why it's so comfortable is that the two protagonists coordinate better than the other two novels' MCs. It's also a lot less frustrating and quite amusing to read how their relationship progress. <<less

Personally, I like game-like elements and gender bender which is why I started with this story.

It is cute, with easy and comfortable progression as well as a twist in the MC's background (not the gender thing, but their personal history). The slice-of-life fantasy atmosphere is average. There is also potential in the plot with the MC's past entanglements coming to 'haunt' her.

What's disappointing is this story follows the typical MtF gender bender Yuri route, the hermaphrodite thus far seems to be comic relief and an unclear plot which leads to... more>> a 'dragging' feeling by the end of Vol 1 instead of wetting your appetite for the next volume.

Perhaps it's too early for me to say, but my interest very much died down before I even finished this chapter. <<less
