Little Prodigal Alliance Head (and Cook)

OK, so I don't like to give bad reviews of stories until they have a good amount of chapters. I've read 11 chapters and come to a conclusion about this story. Personally it isn't in my tastes, but I understand how it appeals to others. The main character is an airhead that is transmitigrated to a body in the past/alternate universe past. Instead of being some OP female assassin / doctor variant, she seems to be a normal person, albeit seemingly low on IQ. All her actions don't make any... more>> logical sense to me, and feels like a comedic convoluted chaos. It was funny at first but I quickly got tired of the hot mess she seemed to become. Basically a hoe for hot men. While I understand people who are extremely attractive causing some thirst, but does the MC have to become tr*sh and a thirsty hoe around them once she sees their faces. Although she identified as a female, I think she is a male? Not exactly sure, I think the body she is in is male. All I can do is facepalm.
My issue with her name.

I think this story was meant to be comedic, but it goes over the top for me. And don't even get me started on the name. I am a native Chinese speaker (parents are Chinese), but I can't read and write, and I find the name she gave so cringey. Tang Doudou. Duo on its own can mean bean, but when two are put together it sounds like slang for a pimple or zit. Add in Tang which reads like candy, all I get is Candy Pimple. She isn't the one who wants to flip the table I'm the one who is practically flipping tables.

I really like this novel. I really do, but there is aproblem with it. First, there is way too much useless information and filler. I'm waiting for the main plot to continue and day after day, each translated chapter is about anything but the main storyline. At least 7-8 (edit** 14) chapters have passed where the main character gets into conflicts for no apparent reason and fights with other noble children but doesn't contain information about the main story. They hyped up a battle between the MC's family and an... more>> opponent family, and after the usual tr*sh talk and looking down on MC's family when they announced the fight, the story takes a whole bunch of chapter where the MC is running around doing anything but the main fight that was being presented. I'm ok with filler and the like, but only after the major plot point that was introduced was completed and not right before the climax of said plot point. I'm so frustrated, I just want to freaking see the MC beat the living crap out of the opponent family. And because they haven't fought yet, MC still has a reason to get in pointless conflicts with noble children that would have otherwise left him alone if he finished the fight. Sorry for the rant, but sometimes authors take it too far... <<less

A little disappointed so far, the main character is basically a huge pervert and thinks very selfishly. Really after a huge crisis is about to occur the reason you learn a skill is to peek on your sister in laws, who after the MC's heroic rescue will probably all join his harem. I can already tell that without trying too hard he can already become a op bastard.

This is a genre that I like, so I have high hopes but so far I'm skeptical of its quality. It is similar... more>> to Hail the King, but didn't have the appeal that HtK had in the beginning. <<less

Like some other reviewers, I originally thought this was some xianxia harem B's, but I was pleasantly surprised when I gave the story a chance. If you have ever read cultivation chat, then you will definitely need to read this. The story talks about a modern youth starting on the path of cultivation. So please for all those who thought this is a harem be please don't, give the story a chance. So far the parts I've read the signs of harem show but he has always stayed faithful in... more>> front of all the beauties trying to steal him. From another reviewer who has read to the 300s, the MC is pretty consistent and faithful to one girl. <<less

Hmmm... I know that this story has a cliche start, but giving it a 2 star just because of that is wrong. What Trent says is that MC will become a xianxia super saiyan. Which is incredibly misleading and misrepresentative of the story. Especially because he hasn't read the whole story yet. So far it seems the story just has a game system, no further mention of the angels has happened. It is similar to God of Cooking, which in my opinion was a pretty good story. This contains the... more>> same feeling, at least so far. I'm looking forward to the updates. <<less

I would like to say to all the people who gave bad reviews to please stop. I agree with the translator that this story at least so far hasn't become a wishfufillment xianxia like other stories but has its own qualities. It is said in the early chapters that he didn't interact with the outside world and only worked in secluded cultivation. From how I see it, phoenixes are practically immortals in their own right, thus even without the special cultivation of his, he is a long lived race. Thus... more>> the period of growing must be proportionately raised. For example the elves in LOTR mature in 50~100 years.

Being so I see the Feng Feiyun as a teen, mature enough to know the world but still naive and guilble. From how I see the betrayal, it is more like a break up. He may want revenge but it doesn't consume his entire being. So all the people complaining about his s*upidity or naivety can stop. As a side note, there aren't s*upid useless Perfection Jade Beauties or Celestial Ice Queens but females that can actually fight, instead of being damsels.

I'm tired of reading stories where the MC does every single damned thing. The character who were praised as top grade sect younger generation beauty seems to be useless. Why promote her as a top grade talent if she needs saving every 200 chapters. ATG I'm looking at you. Or raises beauties as maids but still having to fight every major battle basically by himself because their supreme immortal physique doesn't seem supreme at all, the just seemed to me like treasured pets to be put on display to show every so often. ED I'm looking at you. <<less

The Human Emperor

I would like to say that this is definitely one of my favorite stories. While I can't say much for what will happen in the future, so far The Human Emperor has been extremely satisfying, if not a bit slow.

This story brings an often used and popular genre of transmitigration and time travel combined to create a new and exciting story.

Unlike other MCs, he is not superpowering ever 2 chapters to defeat the next foe. He is also not the master at everything. Unlike other MCs that can do alchemy,... more>> forge op weapons, place divine arrays, and etc. While some stories are able to do those things, Wang Chong uses a mix of intrigue and economic advantages to win. Instead of running and bashing all his enemies he has to slowly build up his power using his foreknowledge from the future.

People in the story that are older and senior aren't all bloodthirsty arrogant masters. They don't immediately try and use their op cultivation to try and kill the MC for every small offense, same with other young masters. One young master tried to trap the MC in a plot, but the MC was able to use it to his advantage.

I like this story because the main character isn't some once in billion genius that will leave because this country is to small to hold such a figure. He uses wit and money to try and change the tragedy that will befall his clan. His clan isn't full of blood relatives trying to cripple each other, but that's not to say there isn't competition. The masters and strong people of the world aren't indiscriminate killers and have to follow rules set down by he emperor and court. There is order in a way and also chaos as the MC tries to navigate the future while the world is resisting his changes to the future. I highly reccomend you check this out. <<less

This is one of the best female MC CN novels from the pool of tr*shy tropes that corrupt the genre. This one at the very least has a believablish relationship that isn't built on molestation, rape, or oppression of the female MC by the male MC is a thumbs up in my book. Honestly that makes this so much more bearable than the other ones, even though it still contains many of the same tropes. Since most Female MCs have to be in a relationship at least make it bearable... more>> like this one. <<less
