What I like the most about this story is that even though the MC prefers to hide his true power, he will still rekt those that try to mock him, not just keep on accepting any mockery thrown at him. At first I thought that the author is going to keep using the magician's memories as a plot armor to keep the MC well informed but it seems like that is not the case.

Anyway it's a bit of a slow paced story but still very well written nonetheless.

He always runs away from slime thinking he will die in one hit even from the weakest monster, but he thinks its okay to receive damage from a beginner mage because he has high defense...

I want you people who feels like starting to read this let that facts sinks into you before you start reading this. Its supposed to be a comedy, but the plot is stupid I just cant laugh. like spending all your skill points on harem skill but refuse a proposal from any girls he met.

The "misunderstanding"... more>> tags is really need to be printed in a big bold letter for this novel, since that's what this whole novel is all about, a freakin huge misunderstanding that doesnt make any sense after a few chapters. its like the whole plot setting doesn't matter anymore once it progress.

MC is a huge pervert who got run over by a truck while carrying stash of porn focusing on elves and otherworlder genre, get option to be summoned to another world by the goddess with another 2 people. unlike the other 2 he gets lots (really a lot) of skill point which he spends all of it on "harem maker" ability, which makes him having high defense with 1hp and attack power. while it seems like a stupid power his HP and attacks are actually 10 to the power of 60, which have too many zeros causing the screen menu to only shows 1. so the MC, having been thrown out of the castle by the shitty king for being useless starts running away from every slime he sees, at full mach speed, making him lost most of the time. he sometimes defeat strong demon girls like demon lord or succubus, but every single time misunderstanding happens and he chose NOT to accept their love. which makes u wondering: WHY THE HELL IS SOMEONE WHO SPENDS ALL OF HIS SKILL POINTS ON HAREM POWER DOESNT WANT A HAREM OVER A LITTLE BIT OF MISUNDERSTANDING?

TLDR: Read the last word in capital letter if u wanna get the general idea of what u will feel when u start reading this <<less

I would give this 3.5 if I can. So many things I can rant about this one.

The story is like how most people who read this will notice, is like a mix between SAO and Arifureta. Like seriously, fall into an unknown dungeon, fighting electric rabbit and red bear? Even if u like those series and plan to make a story of a mix between them, at least do not copy till the monsters.

Unlike those 2 novels however the MC doesn't really turn way too OP as his lvl only... more>> catches up with the top rankers, but as of now it is unknown yet as to how much stronger he is as he doesn't met any of the rankers yet.

and I’m pretty annoyed at the facts that the author never really mentions what is so bad with the Long Sword that caused nobody decided to pick up one of the most favorite weapons in an MMORPG.

Author: “hey, I like swords so lets make him use swords. But I want him to be unique so lets make other people hate using swords. But people like swords, so lets find reasons to hate sword. Damn, no reasons to hate swords? Well lets say I found one but decided its classified, so it seems like people have reasons to hate sword.”
bollocks I tell you. <<less

I really hoped this site can give the option of 4.5 star.

Anyway, good laid back story about cooking in the different world. If you're looking for bad ass MC that can overpower anything, this is not for you as the MC doesn't know how to fight. He sure knows how to cook though.

Story is almost perfect, but the plot is still a bit lacking for me. I mean sure forest tribe thinks about survival the most, but thinking they've never thought about making the food tasty for the next 80... more>> years is unbelievable. Not to mention only taking the legs of the game they kill because the other meat is 'stinky' kind of defeat the whole survival point. If they really focused on only survival they would have find a way to reduce the smell so that more meat can be obtained. <<less

My real score for this novel is 4.5.

Its just the kind of story that I enjoyed: a laid back story of a person transported to another world with game like elements. Not the type that straight out OP at the start but the type that gets stronger as the story goes on. The only reason I don't give it a perfect 5 is because I found it a bit stupid for the MC to chose upgrading another skill to lvl2 instead of completing the stat bonus skill.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that a new group pick this up from scratch, but I'm not even sure about the translation quality right now.

Edit: as of right now the translation quality has improved and actually readable, so props to current translator for the effort.

Edit2: nvm, still bad mostly.

Sometimes it looks like they edit it properly, sometimes it looks like they edit it to be barely readable, and then sometimes it looks like they just copy paste straight out of machine translation

Honestly, this could get a 5star from me if not for the last 2 chapter. The plot was fine to me but that ending

Spoiler

He spent 500 years in isolation, always reminding himself why he's doing it; so that he could be with everyone again. He's not doing it for the world, or anyone else, he's just doing it for a selfish reason of being happy when he could finally meet them again. But somehow the 'reward' he obtained for saving the world is a full memory wipe? Like, that's the worst you could give to someone who's waiting alone for 500 years to meet everyone again. I know author put that memory loss for the feel, but he could have make him regain his memory again to make this a proper ending.

[collapse]

Personally, the ending is pretty much the same as open ending, if not worse to me. Like, why even bother with all that development to have it all end up just like that? My advice? Feel free to read it. The story is almost 5 star, but the ending will prevent you from giving this even 4 star. It's not the worst ending for us readers, but it's the worst ending for the MC. He deserves better ending after all he went through <<less

Reading it till latest chapter, this feels more like the author's self insert fantasy. He wants to write a 'cute girls doing cute things' kind of story with a VRMMORPG setting, but you cant have a male MC in stories about 'cute girls doing cute thing', so he makes MC changed into female, and got to do cute things along with other cute girls. Sure, there's other male character in there but they kind of looks like they're just there to fill the spot or to become the bad guy... more>> since online game without male is impossible.

So yeah, there will be no romance in a story about 'cute girls doing cute things', as they will go on an adventure or continue doing cute things

Just read this if you like watching cute girls crafting item and fighting monsters with other cute girls (and occasionally man) <<less

The more correct score I'll give this one is 4.2, and that is based on the way this novel is heading. First of all, something needs to be cleared first before you read:

This is not a novel about a journey of a player going from weak to strong to OP. This is more like those novel where MC is transported to another world and gain super OP ability right from the start and then become even more OP as the story goes on. This is basically like that, ... more>> minus the transported part and plus the vrmmo, you got this novel.

MC basically get all of the good item/skills right before he even managed to job change, and the npc is really eager to give it to him. Only after that you will see him grinding (well, considering monsters 10 lvl higher than him still gets killed in 2 moves, it's pretty much a walk in a park).

The npc kind of knows that they are npc and the limitations that they had. The best thing about this novel is the funny interaction between MC and the npc, and how he managed to piss off every single boss he met to the point of evolving.

Tldr: this is not the most original novel out there, but it has its perks. This does have its serious moment and plot, but don't expect the story to go 100% serious (the real world's politics is nonsense, but you can ignore most of them for now and just know that there's a huge unknown computer/ai/hacker that created the game and somehow it is fully supported by the government for some mysterious reason that should be revealed later on) . Don't read this if you dont like MC that is op from the start. But do read it if you like op MC and a slight bit of comedy. <<less

My total score would be 4.5 because some part just really reminds you of rebirth of the thief (not sure which one is first tho). However I prefer this one over rebirth as the details are a bit better and you can see that the MC struggled a bit whenever he fight with boss monster even with his past knowledge.

The pace however is really slow, as of right now (ch115), only 3 to 4 days had just passed since the start of the game, and MC is just... more>> at lvl 7 which is also the highest lvl. However it is still enjoyable even with that slow level up as we can see that MC is doing everything he can in that 4 days to get as much money and rare quest reward as he can.

My advice is, if you like the rebirth genre, high chance you will like this one. Try giving this at least 10 to 20 chapters <<less

Most of the time the story follows from the MC's POV and narrative. And the MC looks like an honest and polite teenagers, and even act like one most of the time. However the translator loves including crude words like 'f*ck" & "shit" especially during MC's monologue making him looks like he grows up with rude people (he actually grows up alone in the forest with only his mother). That inconsistentcy kind of ruined the fun of reading the story abit for me. Other than that the story is pretty... more>> great. <<less

This novel is one of my favorite xianxia novel that i've read. I like the pacings, the story, the plot. The politics in this one shows how deep the story is, as there are tons of other villain characters who had some depth in them, not just as someone the MC will trample. The MC can be seen as a bit arrogant, but not overbearing as he got the ability to back his character. All in all I would actually rate this novel 4.5 if I can since that battle... more>> at ch100 is a bit too dragged on for me. Some flaws are there, but all in all a great read for me. <<less

Spoiler

Any of the dungeon are practically impossible to be cleared by a normal human or mc’s hero classmate. Not to mention all of the enemy they face are also too OP for any of his other classmate to handle, making u wonder why are they even summoned in the first place, and how weak are the human in general if they are weaker than the summoned people. Not to mention how the demons are so strong but somehow it was the human that ruled most of the territory while the beastman are hiding in fear, and the demons never launch any attacks before the human summoned the MC. Basically from the looks of it, if the MC does not accidentally become OP the human are practically doomed to ruins no matter how many hero they summon

The thing that makes this novel different from other reincarnation vrmmo novel is the level of how OP the MC gets.

One thing that annoys me the most in the other novel is that no matter how much knowledge of the future MC gets, somehow there's always another person that could get as strong as the MC, and he had to struggle to win even with all that OP items he have.

But not this MC, he get's more OP and right now he could stomp one whole guild by himself and... more>> no one could do anything about it. That's what it means to be OVERPOWERED. <<less

some of you who read this at first might think this is just Only Sense Online (OSO) ripoff, but opinion-wise, I personally enjoy this way more than OSO. Maybe thats mainly because im not into gender-bender, but other than that, unlike the MC in OSO this guy doesn't get pushed around and do whatever everyone said as long as they ask, which makes it hard to continue reading OSO as the MC is too pitiful. This novel's MC however, planned to play solo from the start, and doesn't get pushed... more>> around by others, instead just do everything on a whim, but ended being one of the strongest player in the game, completely changing other player's view of the skill they call useless <<less
