The Hero Suddenly Proposed to Me, but… (LN)
August 22, 2017
Status: c21
Im having trouble liking this novel. I guess it is suppose to be funny or something, but all I am reading is someone who is being forced into marriage slowly. She of course has the "choice" to say no, but the "hero" is literally cornering her socially. And as of chapter 23:
Spoiler

the "hero" puts a tracking braclet on her that "just happens" to look like engagement bracelets. Oh, and she is unable to remove it because if she tries it tightens around her wrist. She practically begs the hero to remove it, but nope.

It is getting unbearable in the sense that this is suppose to be comedy but I am failing to find it funny. I cant really recommend this as a comedy, nor a romance. The romance being for the things I stated earlier if you read the spoiler. Even if she comes to like the "hero" it will only be because she was frigging brainwashed into it.

I Really Don’t Notice
March 10, 2018
Status: v1 postscript
Ok, I'm not so great at reviews but I'll try.

The translation quality is pretty good, with only a few errors here and there that I noticed. It's nice that we were given the entire first volume to start us off.

So, the novel itself was "ok". The MC is surrounded by a time traveller, a person from another world, and an esper. These people have their own reasons for being there. All fighting some "enemy" who happens to choose that particuilar world/time/town to let loose their schemes.

Now, the main character is... more>> dense. Think Infinite Stratos x 1000. This MC does not notice ANYTHING.

Spoiler

MC has his arm lopped off, loses enough blood to almost die, gets healed with magic by a witch/ magic girl, MC faints, MC wakes up thinking it was a dream, MC can't move due to blood loss, the girl reaccounts what happened, girl realizes she messed up and tells him she found him asleep on the ground, MC believes her.

[collapse]

The logic in the spoiler is used throughout the novel. Sometimes even worse.

Spoiler

making a movie!? REALLY? How does that explain her FLYING.

[collapse]

The author gives a stupid explanation for the MCs obliviousness as well. It's an explanation that, while answering WHY, leaves a lot to be desired in terms of plot. It's such a simple and stupid reason.

I rated this 3 stars because while the MC was annoying, I didn't hate the rest of the characters.

This review seemed to turn into a rant more than anything. Sorry about that. Try this out if you think you can look past the obliviousness. <<less
