Wow this thing is frustrating to read. I actually enjoy OP protagonists if they are written well but this guy went full retard. He gets insulted and pushed around by almost everyone in the other world and he just takes it like a bitch. Even though he doesn't have to and has the power to stop it. It's as if he enjoys being treated like a piece of sh*t (well he kind of is when it comes to intelligence or personality).

For example The bug goddess throws him out in... more>> the wilderness to die and he doesn't even want to get back at her. The moment he finds out that he is growing stronger than the goddess whats the first thing he does? He purposefully surpresses his growth due to him being a pu**y and wanting to avoid confrontation with her. I think this is the first instance where I've seen a MC stop their growth for such a stupid reason.

Everyone in town treats him like sh*t because he's level 1 And he never bothers to correct them with even a little hint of his powers because... reasons?

Seriously I've never seen a character than can take as much punishment as this guy. Its like the crappy author is playing a trick on everyone. There is so much build up with people looking down at him and treating him like crap that makes you think there is going to be some kind of payoff at the end, where he puts them in their place. Instead all you are left with is pent up frustration waiting for a catharsis that will never come. I'm dropping this today before it pisses me off even more. <<less

So at first this novel seemed interesting. Weak to strong protagonist with a crazy growth potential. I gotta say his so called “cheat” skill gluttony is RIDICULOUSLY overpowered. He takes all the skills AND stats of everything he kills.

At a first glance this growth model seems unsustainable because pretty quick the MC will be stronger than anything else (due to his verrry broken trait) and there wouldn’t be any real conflict. I was pretty interested with where the author is taking this. If you think about it there is nothing... more>> really stopping him from becoming the strongest being in that world in just a few days. He can literally work his way up killing the weakest to the strongest being and easily taking all their power one step at a time

Spoiler

That is until he finds the stupid greed sword that evolves by taking his status. Immediately I knew that this is the author’s cheap way out because he wrote himself into a corner. He can’t have the MC become that ridiculously overpowered so he is going to reset his stats once in a while. This made me want to flip a table because that’s just lazy. Why even make a character like this if you don’t have the balls to take it all the way.

Also from the MC’s perspective what kind of retard would be willing to give up all his stats to a stupid sword? I’m pretty sure he would have been better off keeping those stats and continue to get exponentially stronger. Instead he agreed to it because the story demanded it since there wouldn’t be any tension or suspense otherwise.

First I would like to say I'm really suspicious of the number of 5 stars this novel got. Going by the reviews with actual words in them the score should be much lower. Seriously I've never seen a novel description lie so blatantly before. Pretty much 90% of it does not fit the novel. It makes it sound very over the top and hints at the fact that the main character is interesting in some way. Both are false.

Also, I'm just gonna say it, the MC doesn't f**k anyone and... more>> there is not that much Yandere stuff. So if that's what you're looking for look elsewhere.

From what I have read so far the novel is VERY slow and kind of boring, with some erotic descriptions sprinkled here and there. The weird part is that the erotic segments seem awkward and out of place and the story wouldn't really change with it removed. Which makes no sense judging by the description and the title.

I skipped ahead to ch40 ish and the story still did not progress much and the few chapters I skimmed through still seemed pretty boring and nothing really happens in them.

The novel seemed like an interesting read and I'm still pretty pissed that the description lied to me. Giving it 2 stars because the story shows hints of promise but for sure it will take many more chapters until it gets there (like at least ch100+ judging by the way the novel is progressing). Personally I don't have the patience for it so I'm dropping it. <<less

One of the best web novels I've read till now. This is how you correctly make a OP MC enjoyable. His motivations are clear and you can totally get behind his character. He even has a bit of deadpool in him being able to recognize forshadowing in the story almost as if he recognizes he is in a web novel. Also MC is not just strong for no reason like most other OP characters. He worked hard to obtain everything he has

All I can say about this novel is "eh". The premise is not bad and it seems like the story could be interesting. But when it comes down to it, it's just boring. Reading it has become kind of a drag. I've read other novels with slow pacing and the biggest danger to these kinds of novels is losing the interest of the reader. The MC is blander than white rice with more whiter rice. He's got no particular traits or goals to speak of and he does everything based... more>> on general niceness. The reason why he knows everything about everything is explained away by his "adventure parents" who "disappeared" (I guarantee you they will show up later in the story), which is just lazy.

The author is obsessed with the Japanese circle jerk. Everything has to be super Japanese and only Japanese. From the paper to the rice everything has to be Japan focused, and the MC claims he's traveled the world... Not a huge deal but it gets irritating when you see it over and over again.

Also it doesn't help that the translator is taking criticism way too personally in his comments. You are forced to read it because it's at the start of some of the chapters. And it's really just cringe, seriously even if the novel is boring it's the authors fault, just move on. <<less

Ummm you would have to have some pretty heavy tastes to enjoy this novel. At first you think that the MC is kind of a duche but he has his reasons for being this way. Around chapter 9 you start to realize that the protagonist is completely evil with no redeeming qualities.

There’s a reason why almost all novels don’t have completely evil protagonists. At worst you would have a main character morally ambibigous or an antihero. This is so you can relate to the protagonist, and it’s really hard to... more>> relate to someone this twisted in the head...

The MC keeps mentioning how wonderful and civilized the modern earth is and how me wants to go back. But based on his actions he’ll probably be a serial killer if he ever makes it back.

No idea why the rating is so high for this novel. Can’t really stomach it anymore. <<less

Unlike what the title and tags suggest this is a surprisingly heavy novel. To the point that it's not exactly enjoyable to read. That f**king comedy tag is a complete lie. There aren't exactly fun or even funny moments in the novel. The MC is bland and everyone just loves him for some reason, but that's to be expected when it comes to these types of novels. The heroine is super paranoid about everything the MC does but not in a "fun" Yandere way. Instead she just gets progressively angrier... more>> at the MC in a sad way. Not only does the heroine not feel like a Yandere, when reading her illogical reactions at mundane things just makes you kind of frustrated.

The feel I got up to this point is that the author is building up to a tragedy, which was not what I was looking for. I didn't start reading this type of novel with these tags wanting to feel sad.

Also Honestly the author projected way too much of himself into the main character.
Spoiler

Guess what, the MC also likes to write Romantic comedy novels and has ranked #1 before (I mean common man, the author's writing isn't the worst but he's not ranking first in anything. He needs to stop jerking himself off). But People gave him bad reviews at the end because the love interests split and that wasn't properly built up at in anyway... Remind you of anything? Is this even foreshadowing at this point?
