Title itself is misleading, read synopsis.

Apart from it being what it is, which is an erotica I'd like to point out that the main character / protag is kinda very quick to change his values and the story pacing might be confusing at times.

I have yet to read a class transfer which is actually the 'cliche' one and where the protag doesn't decide to take revenge on everyone and instead saves the world, however a nice comparison might be "the forsaken hero" *which is currently on halt as the author... more>> is rewriting the volume*

Personally, the premise of the forsaken hero is much better and thought out than this one but maybe thats just me. *At leas the premise that is* <<less

Read it, definitely worth the time. Didn't think I'd say this but I just love the MC's arrogance in this one and probably the only time i'd say this, not atg, not sotr, not anything else. It's a very good change of pace *kinda* from the usual mindless killing and offending people for no reason accepted, that happens here too.

Just read the first 5 chapters of it before deciding to continue or not, the first 5 should tell you plentifully which type of a series this would be and for... more>> some reason I believe its slice-of-life even though I hate slice of life types, <<less

I'll keep it short cause instead of reading a long as hell review id rather read the first chapter.

I like the change in setting from a typical 'cultivation' type universe to somewhere with magic like in western type fantasies. There's cultivation regardless tough but it adds more to the story than take away from it.

The point is, there is character development, it might be slow but the story does mention and I feel the need to emphasize on this point, the MC is not evil / demon by nature, he... more>> has such thoughts but never acts on them, what makes him evil bit by bit and makes him act on his instincts is the cultivation he's practicing. Also it doesn't just make the MC more evil, it makes him calm headed too, read the story to know what I meant. End rating, 5 of 5, nice change in pace from so much cultivation and I like the MC. <<less

*read till chapter 63 as of time of review *

Like the others said this is indeed like TDG

But what makes it different is the Protagonist and how maybe he wont be tied down by his feelings to just one girl but that is just hypothesis.

... more>> What really makes this series shine for me is that the Protag is in life and death situations and unlike some other MCs out there he instead plans ahead for his actions And knows there will be consequences.

Even tough his unique power might be OP its not like he could just kill everyone he wants in one go

The part about the MC thinking through all of his actions and deriving a good strategy is what makes this shine for me, 5 of 5 rating from me. <<less

For me what really makes this one shine above the rest is the setting, which is in modern world, unlike some mysterious continent you have no idea about.

Also, this world follows modern laws, it isn’t like the other novels where killing is just another thing, this world has police and all, killing has its consequences.

And the main character uses his brains to solve stuff rather than just kill and pillage.

My only problem would be that maybe he’s a bit too kindhearted but whatever, the setting more than makes up... more>> for it, also the story is just getting more interesting (chapter 50 *boy that escalated quick*)

Definitely has its flaws but are minor compared to the change it has than other such novels.

EDIT : after 800 chapters of mtl ive decided to drop it, the main character is just too... empty.. With absolutely no character motivation than " I need to get stronger " and unnecessary setbacks because the author felt that the MC enjoyed a bit too much. while I like harems, what I consider more important is more than just a 1dimensional or 2 dimensional character, a character with depth, even if its just the one true love route i'd still prefer it over 2d characters like in this one. <<less

Really nice story and concept where the title is explained right in the first few 10 or 12 chapters.

The protagonist feels incomparably lonely. I cant point out the reason though, maybe its because of so many chapters with pretty much no interaction with any harem or whatnot.

I love it.

The plot is SLOW...

I was halfway through the third chapter of pretty much nothing happening and then I stopped reading and realized I have other faster paced novels I could read than to test my patience against this novel.

Let me tell you, the whole of the first chapter is about MC's life before he died and got reincarnated, BUT, it is mostly filler i.e. pretty much NO character development about the MC happens, So even skipping the whole of first chapter entirely is acceptable.

The chapter length being long is usually... more>> a thing I like but not in a case where basically nothing happens, saying this reminds me of a few chapters of ATG *also dropped/on hold* where literally all that happens in a chapter is - "MC meets long lost person, they stare each other in the eyes while random crowd reacts". I am seriously AMAZED at the ability of the author who can drag such a meaningless topic for so long.

It's not like I have no hopes for this, I'm just putting this on hold till something grand actually happens for once, by no means a bad novel, just excessively long. <<less

*at time of review 71 chapters in, will possibly continue reading but not with the same view as before *

At first I felt like it was a really good and interesting read.... well... at first I did... until it switched to the typical route of an op protagonist.

Like, not much against the op ness itself, but the way, like

Spoiler

that one time against that frog boss early in the series, the whole fight was pretty good, until the author decided to take a route he totally didnt need to and the frog didnt die with that poison but protagonist some how has to depend on his godly luck, just that specific part about him putting it all on a random chance just pisses me off to no extent, the author didnt need to do that either, it could just have been the frog dies from poison, or even that frog has 1 hp left and then the protagonist rushes him to kill that 1 hp left, that much is FINE

[collapse]

tldr: op skills, acceptable *and liked too*, op luck and the support of RNGesus * totally ruins story *

Another thing is him showing off * which in itself is fine * but the fact that he knows that he should be laying low because of the possibility of moon gods whatever searching for him *not a spoiler, read the synopsis* even tough they might not care I dont get it, with a personality like his, he should instead take the no-risk route.

Spoiler

And that part about him killing that wolf (?) whatever boss in front of all those people and that 7th ranker of heavenly ranks ? dont even mention it, something totally unnecessary.

[collapse]

tldr: protagonist personality inconsistent at times. should be taking no-risk route but instead takes most show off route ever.

Side rant : I just dont get that chinese *and japanese too* authors are just fascinated with “cute” op pets. like, just why?

As much as it must seem like I hate this series, I don’t, being impartial about it I can just say that, initially what I hoped from it * which would have given this 5 of 5 stars * was instead shattered midway through and since it takes the typical route just like TDG or ATG its a more deserving of 4 stars.

Also, compare it to SAO, it is, very. similar.* talking about the anime, didnt read the LNs*

TLDR : fine read, but typical as compared to atg or tdg, not anything groundbreaking, 4 of 5 stars. <<less

Recommendation - read it, at least the first 20 chapters before deciding if you want to continue or not.

I'll start by how I found this novel when only the first 16 chapters were translated, to which I found the story to be very interesting as in the MC is a leader type character not some OP as hell standalone guy. Even tough he is OP, kinda. After which I continued by sacrificing a part of my soul and reading the machine translations for it. Anyways, It'll be a great thing... more>> if you played Diablo 2 already since it is quite integral to the story but i'll say that the author does a find job of describing stuff in it, though that's only for the first Act since from then on he starts shortening the time spent in game. I remember them childhood days when I was 6 and I played diablo 2 and I didn't even get part the first act because I somehow didn't save the game and exited directly resulting in me playing it from the start every time and surprisingly I still loved it.

MC's personality is pretty decent, actually, a lot better than id expected because he has the makings of a young ruler but just needs experience. One of the main things I liked in this is that the MC because he's from the modern era, starts by slowly introducing better technologies and customs and clothing and government to his city. Because if he didn't do that i'd be really disappointed.

Well pretty much a 100% read it rating from me because it is one of the few novels which I found so interesting that I decided to read the mtl s for it, I mean even atg or tdg didn't deserve that honor, tmw I would have but the translations have caught up to the latest one.

For alternate recommendations id say none actually, because this story is quite unique and difficult to say if i've read another story with a similar setting. <<less

Mere words possibly cannot describe how much I like this novel.
* but ill use them anyways because im a hypocrite, lol *
A very nice change of pace from those 'beat em up' types where the MC gets op real fast.
Interesting characters, tough it might be a bit slow paced for some but in my opinion it isnt too slow, rather I feel this is better than to go too fast and not let the characters develop
5 of 5, Definitely

Plenty others already stated this but I will too, in case you didn't notice already.

The starting is really good With the MC understanding humans are worthless and with his personality change, but it seems somewhere down the line that whole personality change to a ruthless killer amounts to nothing other than a tsundere *sigh, way to waste good potential*

It'll be fine if you just read to the point where they exit from the dungeon / go to the last floor of the dungeon. Convince yourself that they return home. End of story.

[collapse]

Would have given it a 4 of 5 but because it ruined the story later on, 3 of 5 <<less
