“In this life, can I fall in love once more?”

As if having your best friend steal your fiance wasn’t enough; I died by falling onto the road from an accidental push.

I, who had just graduated from medical school, suddenly found my status changed by this ‘Devil-in-God-skin’ or ‘Hades’. He sent me to be reincarnated into an otome game that I once played. I found myself becoming the vampire villainess who has the doomed fate of being killed by her vampire fiancé.

If you think that this will make me surrender, then, NO WAY! No longer will this happen to me, and I will never ever let myself die because of some man.

I WILL NEVER LOVE ANYONE AGAIN!!!

“What?”

“The captive character is feeling ill?”

“It can’t be helped, I will nurse him until he is healthy again.”

I ended up liking this one a LOT more than I thought I would. I LOVE how straightforward and no-nonsense Shiwa is, and I like the interactions between her and all the other characters. Girlfriend knows what she wants and she is GOING to do her own thing, no matter what anyone else might think. Luler's take on life is pretty funny to me, and I'm glad we get to see his point of view. I ADORE Akane, Teo is a butt, Bella is ADORABLE, Lookz needs to figure out... more>> wtf communication and actually treating people decently looks like, Shelyn is a sweetheart who is dealing with her trauma, and I would marry Ren in a freaking heartbeat. I LOVE that all the characters have their own personalities and motivations. The stuff with Hades and his son was a little weird, but it also kind of made sense and tied everything together at the end.

The translation wasn't great, but not terrible either. All in all a cute, interesting story. <<less

This is an immature novel that highly dependent on young teenager fantasy to keep running forward. I can feel that the author itself has a very shallow understanding towards life (maybe she/he has a young age?).

World building are almost zero, the theme is fresh but sadly executed poorly, and the characters themselves are too 2D (you need to work it out a little more dear author).

This is at best fanfic level. Sorry to be brutal, but it'd hardly make it and become a book. Which somehow is okay, because I mean, authors have to start somewhere and hardly it would be with a book.

Iirc, I think the author said in the beginning she was just starting? And it shows. It's not only by the level or content of the writing, but that the impression that I have is that the author is really really young and doesn't even have much idea about... Well.. Life.

For instance,... more>> the MC is originally a 20y doctor... One which is well established in her career and almost getting a promotion (for real). So, to my knowledge, unless she was a kid genius who graduated and went to university at 12 or something (instead of 17-18) there's no way she can be a doctor... Much less a established one almost being promoted. Just uni is 5 years (22), then there's specialization and residency or whatever it's called in English.

Most docs won't actually start working on their own till they're around 25.. If not 27-28 because they have specialization, residency, got to go through ER rounds etc.

To be well established? Near a promotion? That's certainly 30+y. I'm sorry, it's just impossible to have a 20y well established doctor. Even if there are genius kids, considering the kind of career I don't know if the medical council would let one practice medicine.

I know I got through a tangent, but this is just one little thing I'm using to illustrate the problems (there are many more). All of them give me the sense that it's a really young, sometimes I even think a 12yo or something that's writing the story.

Cause that's what we used to do back then, as a 12yo we'd think we would be this kind of over competent, perfect adult. That had life figured and settled by 25, with the perfect/dream career, probably married etc etc

All the while having no actual sense/idea, and thinking we would be soooo mature and capable (but without an actual idea of what these things entail).

So, if you're reading this, regardless of your age, please take this work with a grain of salt and as utter and complete fiction. There's little common sense or versossimillance.

Actually, if things being completely illogical, breaking common sense, or even nonsensical break immersion to you, you better not even pick this to read, cause you will be questioning this work very frequently.

I think this should rather be read by also very young ppl (pre-teens prolly) or if you found it cute and light and you can ignore everything else. If you want something more congruent, or even normal level of realistic (or with any quality) this isn't for you.

That said, although I said it's for really young ppl, I should say and agree with the people saying there is a soft S&M theme. I mean from the get go it shows (and says, with this words) that the MC's father's into bondage. The ML is a M. The MC is turning into a S. The other couple, the Wolf guy is a S/bully....

And I won't even talk about the third couple cause they "tried" (focus on the ") to talk about depression and su*cide... Which ended up being a huge disservice and honestly, triggering me. It just shows AGAIN the author is really young and has no idea what they're talking about or how these things are, but this time regarding something awfully serious and that would be taken carefully.

This is not something to be taken lightly, so it's best to AVOID IT ENTIRELY than mess with something that delicate and pass a false image/info that might make it worse for someone.

So yup although still not s*xual (for now) still not entirely up for kids. Or rather please just take all the work as comedy and so into fiction it has no representation of reality - at all.

Having already said all that, if you still need to make up your mind, since this review is already long, I'll give the tldr and then the in depth in spoiler tag.

First: writing

It's really a just starting author, there are many beginner mistakes including NO CONSISTENCY. (Also no sense of reality)

Spoiler

when she transmigrates she's two, forget a 2yo body not being physically capable of somethings like talking properly or having high dexterity, she just solves up a "serious" relationship problem of her parents, that hasn't been talking to each other since before she was born with a prank (was it even serious at all?).

But from this she'll get a little bro.

Timeskips to when she's 5, lil bro is 2. Then next scene prince is coming over to her house and... Her mother is pregnant. Oh so there's a third one coming? No, she's pregnant of lil bro.

But wait... She's 3yo then?? No. She's 5. But in the scene she met the prince when she was 5, initially the prince was 10. Then he's suddenly 5y too and they're the same age. The same way in the future, the difference in age between her and her lil bro will be 3y, but in that scene the prince is visiting in which they're (now both) 5y, the lil bro that should have been 2y is still inside their mother.

Get what I'm saying?

[collapse]

You'll also notice this with scenes transitions (or lack of thereof). From time to time there'll be scenes that say start in the school cafeteria with everyone around, and suddenly it's just the two of them in the bedroom. There's just no indication, it's like the author forgot to say "lunchtime finished, we bid farewell to everyone and continued the conversation in my room" and you just have to understand it cause "huh, where did this bed come from? Are they doing this is front of everyone, wait- where IS everyone??"

Also, on the writing.. There's hardly any rhythm to it, be it narrative wise or story wise. Don't expect high and lows, hooks, climaxes, cliff hangers, drama or anything. Everything is presented as it is, on the same lightweight tone.

There's no up and downs. As such, don't expect character or even plot development. There isn't even much of a plot at all. It's just she doing things "according to her personality" and living out her life (again with high unrealistic things).

There are some - you could say cough - character arcs. But again don't expect much of it, the level of "problems" or "seriousness" is just really really low. Things that get solved in say, one or two chapters (and 2 might be too much) or in two days in story.

Spoiler

after all what could you expect from our "genius" doctor/chemist/psychiatrist/psychologist? She could solve a relation ship problem so serious that got two (idk, 100y+? How old are they even) adults not talk to ea other for 3y!! Even with their first child being born and you don't know think they would have to talk about her (or to her. It makes it seem like her mom doesn't talk at all, lol) by just pranking them.

In the end it was only a misunderstanding of such a basal level you even wonder how they managed to become a couple and get married in the first place, much less wonder for how long they could continue married if they need a 2yo transmigrator genius kid to solve it for them.

Imagine if they had got a normal child... Poor them.

But likewise giving another example... The third couple that aggrieved/triggered me so. It starts with her going "oh no depression and su*cide are serious things it might take years to cure..." cue in next day (no, seriously) "she's going to kill herself! GO, SAVE HER 3RD ML, YOU'RE HER CP/OTP!!" *angel in shining armor rushes to the rescue* everything magically solves itself, curse and su*cide level depression by the power of LOVE!! (And only love this time. I swear the prince/1rst ML was by the power of S&M)

But I mean, why do we even need doctors right? When things can be cured by the power OF SM I mean, LOVE!

Gee, I wonder where did she get her degree w 20yo?

(That's actually the root of everything isn't it? She just bought that...

[collapse]

Which actually leads me to the next point. No world/setting development! Again, there seemed to be an initial idea that could be used/expanded, that could have it's inherent problematic/conflict that should pour over and at least influence the cast. But nope, cause this just lacks -forget depth or development- COMMON SENSE!

Spoiler

oh so we have 2 warring nations that decided to stop the conflict through a marriage... Ofc you two can drop the arranged marriage. I'm sure everyone will understand, it's not like there's a war going on and ppl (apparently) dyeing left and right, you two being happy and not having to marry someone you don't love is much more important! We will stop conflict anyway, no need for you to marry, I don't know why we thought of a marriage in first place. Actually... Why are we warring?

Or... Oh, so there are 3 races, and the angels are so much better/more prideful than demons and won't mingle with that evil race! But they do sell ppl to be s*xual s*aves of nobles? How are they worse than the demons again? Why do they despise each other?

But wait... Angels are just... Ppl with wings then? Same thing?

Or so the only prince/heir to the vampire kingdom can die any moment and won't live past... was it 20? And his parents are... Completely okay with it?? Not worried with succession in any way or form or even their kid?

So, is he being completely cast aside because of it or is he getting some training for he may be the future king someday?

And actually continuing last spoiler box. She graduated in medicine ok... But since when do doctors actually know how to MAKE (yes, make, not prescribe) not only medicine but also cosmetics??

And she's going on about how there must be anti ageing creams and whatnot cause she's already 13!!! But...

Aren't they vampires? That don't age and live till 500? Would there even be a need/demand for it? Oth the sunblocker that might be more interesting will probably be treated as a measly cosmetic instead of you know... Revolutionary, life changing technology for normal vampires that can now daywalk!

Which wouldn't change their whole economy and probably even their bellic power?

[collapse]

But anyways, see what I meant by she being this "apparently" super medic/chemist/psychologist/psychiatrist? But truth is she won't actually be/have the knowledge to back it up.

Some knowledges/professions just change how you think and look at things, and authors have to have enough at least superficial knowledge to emulate it in their characters. For IE an actual doctor would see someone ill/having a fit and at least have an idea of what it could be, what they could do our what they shouldn't do.

A character with military training probably access situations and places differently, like noting potential dangers and escape routes.

While a normal person wouldn't even think someone could be thinking these things.

In the end, in this story, her being a doc is just used to justify she being a holy mother, that'll will get into SM cause "that's what is curing the mc!!" Instead of say, actually learning about a vampires biological system, how it's different and trying to make a new medicine. No, that's her "treatment".

When she's 5, she won't try to treat him because "we're vampires, we could be whole different beings to humans, and idk anything about vampire physiology" but because she doesn't have her tools.

Likewise, it's used to give her a free-pass to things the author thinks doctors should know, like learning alchemy in 1 week and making shampoo in 30m.

Idk if there is anyone still reading till here, but in any case, the tldr is what I said in the very beginning.

Don't expect anything from this work and perhaaaaps you can find it cute or the SM comedy parts funny and don't care about anything else.

If you don't have much time, or can't turn off your critic sense (or logic, or you know, common sense) this isn't for you. This a beginner's work, prolly by a young author, more of a fanfic than a LN.

If you think it seemed interesting/had promise, it's more because the original premise/setting seemed interesting, different or because there was so much that could be done with it.

But the truth is it won't because it just isn't that kind of work. It will always be at a really shallow level, with poor problematic (and solutions), same lightweight tone and comedy.

I forced myself to read till almost ch40 and that's it. I won't read other 40chs cause imo that's the level of the story and another 40 chs won't change it. Hopefully the author will continue writing, and when they're older and more experienced they'll be able to bring this raw creativity up to level. <<less

Overall this was a pretty fun and quick read. I finished reading this in one day. The grammer of the translation was a bit confusing but at least its better than using google translate.

I really liked the ML. Hes masochistic and the MC turns kind of a sadist. I thought this was gonna involve a lot of hardcore SM stuff since a lot of people were mentioning it, but it wasn't that bad. Tbh I actually liked those scenes. It was funny how the MC would keep denying that she... more>> liked punishing the ML and was convincing herself that it was all for his own good. The SM scenes were bearable and honestly, kinda cute. I love how the ML is like a child towards the MC and acts stubborn towards her. Its the cute kinda stubborn (not annoying).

Spoiler

It would have been more satisfying though if Hades and Methyst had a proper ending. Methyst was after all white/soi (MCs past self) child.

Since I've used google translate to read stories before, the translations for this didn't bother me. The story for this was really unique. Even though the FL ended up in a reverse harem world, the story ends up with no harems and instead with a bunch of cute and beautiful couples. I also like how each character has such detailed backgrounds and get real character development. There is also an underlining plot outside of the main love drama that is clarified only if you read to the end. It is... more>> hinted throughout the story.

Spoiler

The FL has some relation to the king of the afterlife. I won't say what it is but it makes the reason for her ending up in a new world make sense. It also makes the king a secret love rival... or is he a third wheel? There is also a broken family story and a revenge plot somewhere in this school drama.

THE GRAMMAR. PLEASE.

Porque???

I really was ready to try and read this because the ratings are not bad, but I read the first chapter and... and...... I- I got killed by the novel already. Ignoring the issue with grammar for now, there were multiple problems that jumped out at me right from the first chapter:

    1. The FCKING-HAS-BEEN-TOO-OVERUSED trope of the fiance cheating on the best friend/sister.
    2. The MC leaving in shock and getting pushed by the friend/sister into traffic and then dying to truck-kun, who apparently favors such idiots.
    3. This is just my personal feeling, but why is the FL's name 'white'?? I feel like that's a mis-translation and the 'white' most likely is just the last name, since some asian people will introduce themselves with their last name.
The second chapter had the stereotypical reaper dude who scares the crap out of the FL.

All of the above would've been ok if THE GRAMMAR AND SPELLING WAS AT LEAST DECENT. I'm not trying to intentionally attack the translator here, but the grammar and vocabulary is at an elementary school level. Spelling realllllly shouldn't be wrong because the vocab is simple and there's something called automatic spell check.

In any case, these are some examples of the writing, copy and pasted:

Spoiler

"I suddenly fall down by this mysterious force behind my back but when I get a glimpse of something by instinct."

"'Enough alreadyI'm tired to say this again. I caught you red hand like this...'"

"Even in love, I also have a fianc who comes from a well-off family just like me.

I used to think that I have everything until

I see him kissed with my best friend on reunion day."

The story is nice... quite similar with other villainess novel. But this one is unique because of the BD*M between the MC and ML. Actually it was quite disturbing when the BD*M started when they were very YOUNG.

So overall, it's a nice novel to read.

If you are interested in reading this don't expect anything similar to 'Common Sense of a Duke's Daughter' or any of those stories transmigration/reincarnation stories with heavy plot & intrigue. Not to say it's a bad thing, so I hope readers will read this with lightheartedness.

Story:

The story is interesting with quite a few funny and sweet moments but I think this story should be rated at least r15+. There are many racy scenes throughout the story ... more>>

so if this makes anyone uncomfortable keep this in mind if you're interested in reading this. The plot has its charm and can keep you wanting to read more of the story but once you hit the arc where the last couple gets introduced in the story it kinda went downhill from there. There was one arc I kinda found unnecessary and it ruined the mood for me, so the ending gave me mixed feelings even though its a HE (Happy Ending). Overall its a good story to pass the time.

Characters:

NGL I like the main protagonist of the story (not the otome MC) her relationship with ML is refreshing for once, I don't have to read another story with another whiny sub bi- *cough* I got a bit carried away there. Anyway her and ML are cute together and they're really fun to read. The supporting cast are ok, I don't have a favourite among them but they're cute in their own way. I do have a side character I like but their story kinda ruined the overall plot for me, because like I said their arc was unnecessary.

Enjoyment:

To reiterate, approach this story with lightheartedness and it'll be enjoyable. The translation is good but later chapters could use a editor/proofreader BUT it's not jarring like if you MTL the novel. <<less

I love it 😍🤩😍🤩😍!!! One of my fave... Has enough interactions that can make one's hard go doki-doki (there are some parts that are hot to handle- S&M style), a cast with character. A feel good novel that is fun to read... There is drama at the end though, but it is still fun...

A little warning though: The novel kinda feels Wattpad-ish/FanFic-ish... The FL is a bit of a Mary Sue, minus the illogical "It is wrong, yet since I did it, it is right"... To my memory, she's the... more>> Mary Sue you really can't hate that much as she is a character that isn't OP, but more like Caterina (My Next is Life as Villainess:All Roads Lead to Doom) with a bit of brain, more common sense and maturity...

Another Warning to all Grammar Nazis out there: If you can't stand that the grammar being all over the place, this TL ain't for you... Trust me... Read this first in Wattpad before the book was deleted and continued to a site with an ok grammar and suddenly at my second return, only this a-bit-of-botched version of a translation remains.... So gambatte on all who still tries despite this warning... <<less

I'm going to say this it feels too much like a fanfic, not the good kind but more like the kind where all the characters are acting very OOC or over exaggerated. Which is a bummer cause I like the first few chapter they were pretty good. I also like the summary but I'm way, way disappointed.

It's not bad it's just not what I was expecting so I guess, read at your own risk???

The MC is level-headed and had a calm demeanor. The ML is so cute... it is fun to read how submissive he is to the MC and how he always followed her. They have so many fluffy and sweet moments.

I like how the MC not only changed her life in the otome game... but also other characters/villainess. The side couples are also all loveable.

I also like how the author explained MC's previous lifetimes and its connection to other characters.... Plus, the way that the MC and ML have red thread... more>> that linked them together in their every lifetimes.

Spoiler

Even tho I like the ML, I can't still help but be sad for Hades and his son Methyst

I only dislike that some details of the story were sometimes confusing...I don't know if it was just wrong translation or the author just tend to forget some details that he/she previously wrote.

Spoiler

Example: Before going to the palace for the first time and before meeting Luler, Shiwa mentioned Shio (brother) being 2 yo... but in the another chapter when Luler visited her for the first time, Shiwa's mom was just pregnant and Shio was not yet born.

Super cute story! If you want something fluffy, I highly recommend this.

There isn't any major conflicts, but it's not boring at all. I wouldn't recommend it to people who want an intense and complex storyline, but if you just want to read some cute fluffy moments in relationships, it is the best thing for it! Luler and Shiwa are just absolutely adorable, their dynamic is HILARIOUS. I just like really whipped ML that actually listens to the FL.

At first

Hadis was the king of the underworld responsible for life but neglected his work so he was punished to live as a human for his life cycle, after he became a human child who wanted to commit su*cide until he came back and taught him a lesson, but when he tried to commit su*cide he was saved by a girl (Sui) and had been doing this for years until they became The age of 19 Hades fell in love with her but unfortunately the red thread of fate was always in the possession of their friend (August) After the outbreak of the war, (August) was killed and (Sui) was placed under the protection of Heads. When she learned it collapsed and eventually felt the pain, she wished she had not fallen in love with him. Hades listened to her desire and stabbed her with a distinctive scissors around her to the spirit, washing her brain and making her his wife in the underworldThey lived together until their son reached the age of five but his fate played again, and while pursuing their son came across her eyes on the scissors, she broke the scissors and returned as a lost spirit embodied in our time and fell in love with the will (August Incarnation) But again, they didn't have a good ending. Her friend deceived her for misunderstanding the will (August) and eventually pushed her to the truck back to the underworld again. Hades already violated the laws and knew that what he was doing was deception and made it bad to simply embody another world, but to get him into the person's body Someone who had a short life I hope to see her soon (it's a kind of bet I think maybe) left her memories of her life, But Will (August) was so desperate that he cried so badly because he embraced the body of his dead sweetheart, who collided with the truck and because of his unbearable depression committed su*cide [life is useless as long as it does not exist], Hadis was surprised to see August and felt pain and heartbreak. Obviously, whatever he did, he did not get the red thread of Sui's fate. Although he married her despite having a son, he knew that it wasn't really Sui. Only empty character, Augustus was to be embodied in the same world as Sui. He had already received a red fate rope to tie them together. Hades surrendered, but his son did not give up and her mother wanted him to come back and wake up. But even after going through all these difficulties, his mother could not stay in the underworld and turned her body into butterflies, bid farewell to Hades and her son, and eventually returned to Lawler's side. Finally they are together

I usually don’t finish many stories due to how cheesy (or dramatic) they can be, especially when they’re reincarnation stories. But the difference between this reincarnation story and others was most likely how they changed the game’s plot, and the inclusion of Hades’ past as well as White’s. As this mostly focuses on the relationship between people and a bit of the butterfly effect, it’s not cheesy, over the top, or an indifferent protagonist which really gets me. Although some parts weren’t exactly too realistic, it’s also in a game... more>> where everything should be perfect, so I’m not too surprised. Whether reviews affect you or not, this is a story you should try (if you’re into these type of stories of course, and even if you’re not) <<less

The story is pretty good. I like it. HOWEVER, I kind of dislike the fact that at this point in time the Hades guy told the MC that she shouldn't change fate? Like what was the purpose of sending her there then? Just to let her die... tf? And I believe that fate isn't something that they are able to control. Fate can change depending on how much effort you put in to change yourself and perhaps those around you if they choose to do so. Oh and the translation... more>> kind of sucks. The grammar makes the story less appealing tbh. <<less
