Short, rich, and handsome, Lin Feiran was always the center of attention. But after transferring schools in his second year of high school, he discovered that his limelight was snatched by his Adonis classmate, Gu Kaifeng.

Lin Feiran was very resentful, and he and Gu Kaifeng became archnemesis (one-sidedly). Although the two lived together, they were like strangers.

When Lin Feiran went back home to attend his grandfather’s funeral, he accidentally inherited the Yin-Yang eyes that had been passed down from generation to generation. After gaining the ability to see ghosts, the timid Lin Feiran discovered that his two-person dormitory was actually a sixteen-person (ghost) room. Every day, he was scared to the point of collapsing.

The more aggravating thing is that because of Gu Kaifeng’s innate body constitution, he possessed an abundant amount of Yang energy. Lin Feiran found out that whenever he touched Gu Kaifeng, Gu Kaifeng’s Yang energy could temporarily disable his Yin-Yang eyes. A light touch would disable it for five minutes, a kiss for an hour, and so on…

Lin Feiran had no choice but to throw himself into his archnemesis’s embrace. This complete reversal in attitude to being intimate with Gu Kaifeng persisted every day from morning till night.

When sleeping, he must squeeze in the same bed as Gu Kaifeng. Going to the toilet? He must drag Gu Kaifeng with him. Homework? It must be done hand-in-hand with Gu Kaifeng… He also had to try his best to persuade the teacher to make him Gu Kaifeng’s deskmate. Every day in class, he would rub Gu Kaifeng’s calf with his foot beneath the desks…

Following the clingy little bastard’s sudden change in personality, the initially shocked Gu Kaifeng gradually became smitten. Every day he would chase Lin Feiran to flirt with him, make crazy confessions, and even routinely push him against the wall and kiss him…

Gu Kaifeng: “Don’t you like me? I like you, so let’s be together.”

Lin Feiran: “I don’t like you! Don’t come over!”

Gu Kaifeng: “……”

Five minutes later, to avoid seeing ghosts, Lin Feiran sneakily came to touch Gu Kaifeng.

Gu Kaifeng turned around, stopping his hand: “After you just rejected me, you come back to flirt with me!?”

Lin Feiran: “Who’s flirting with you! I was careless and touched you; don’t imagine that I like you back.”

Oh, that’s it.

This story literally emits dog food energy. Ah, I was reading this at 10 pm and I had to held in my laughter so not to disturb the neighbors...

They!! Are!! Too!! Cute!!

MC and ML are so compatible and their personalities are really animated. MC is a major tsundere, a coward, but also very passionate. Meanwhile, ML is very shameless, always trying to eat MC's tofu, simply a huge pe*vert. In every chapter, you'll see him making dirty jokes and the sort... but I'm completely okay with that! They tease each... more>> other and it never gets old, it's just... their convo gets more pe*verted towards the end... *cough* not like I hate it *cough*

The romance happens fast but doesn't feel forced. Hm, there's a saying that the line separating love and hate is blurred after all.

Spoiler

Digressing from the main story, BUT!!! I just had to tell this to someone!!! The monk and the girl story at the end of the main story got me crying. SAFJSAFAKJHKJK iT WAS JUST SKJHSKKK IT WAS SO SAD PLEASE BEAR WITH ME. ((crying in unintelligible noises)) That side story unknowingly became a scene-stealer for me. If someone were to make a separate novel based on it, I would definitely read it!!! Reminds me of that one arc from 'How To Die As Heavy Mount Tai' where the monk fell in love with the demon king... man, that was depressing...

It's cute and fluff. The ghosts just hilarious and touching at the same time. But imo, the story get dragged so much, the interaction between MC and ML become repetitive and boring (always the same pattern: ML forcing his way and ML cannot refuse and later enjoy it).

But, it's enjoyable light read.

So far so good.

Perfectly the stereotype BL characters, cant ask for more. Funny, entertaining.

You'll get the feeling 'ah youth....' I'm not old but kinda want to say 'where art thou my youth? XDD

... more>> Totally forgot that they're just 14yo, but it's nice to see the seme isnt that 'cold' as the usual adult seme LOL

All their characters are suitable for 14yo teenager, with lotsa hormons to keep up and confusing identity&character crisis. Thank goodness the author didnt make them adult, coz the uke is just too s*upid to think, this is not a proble here but it's a problem for those reborn cliche story lmao.

I'll review more when it's complete/half way there. <<less

This novel will melt your heart. Heart warming and an easy read. My tear ducts had even loosen in some few chapters.

In the beginning of the story MC and ML did not start out well but later when MC inherited the ancestors ability to see the dead it practically titled his common sense in a huge proportion. Later he learned that his hated rival the ML has a pure yang body that could suppress his yin yang ability, like a man finally seeing an oasis after being trapped in a... more>> desert for a long times, clung to the ML leaving behind his high strung pride.

MC is practically a little Tsundere, he might think himself a fierce Tiger but actually just a little cat waving his soft paws. And ML can’t help but hold him like a pearl in the palm of his hands. Doting on the MC like a good husband. <<less

Dang I wish this story is longer. I thought I'm only halfway through but then I realised I'm already near the endㅜㅜ

Overall, the story is good. The execution is also good. It was cute, touching, and lightly ero aaxhshz. The translation is good too. Kudos to them! The interaction with ghosts are well-written.

My favorite interaction was with the old principal. Knowing how he sacrificed himself to protect his students made me cry. The school anniversary scene made me cry so bad. I also like the interaction with little girl and the mother cat. It's so touching! ㅠㅠ

It has been a while that I read this story. Enjoyable read. Simple setting and simple story, without any drama. And maybe therefore I was sometimes a bit bored. Couple is very cute though.

I was not super interested in the Extras where they helped other ghosts to cross over, because the stories are too simple to keep me engaged. So, I quit reading around chapter 72 orso.

I was very satisfied with the ending to the Main Story, so I didn't read the extras, but I have every intention to come back and reread this story again someday~ It's wholly deserving of its high-rating! The romance is definitely a bit silly, but it's also hilarious and super sweet. The MC inherits his Yin-Yang eyes from his grandfather and discovers pretty quickly that the dorm-mate that he disliked is his own protection from the ghosts. Meanwhile, our self-aware gay, the ML, who has already found the MC to... more>> be physically attractive, is slowly hooked in by the MC's sticky-ness.

The focus of the story is definitely on the romance. The MC starts off believing that he's straight and there's a rivalry relationship ship between him and the MC. This slowly begins to turn with his new ability — which is also explored dutifully, bringing a little spice to the otherwise soft and sticky romance.

Altogether, highly recommended! I didn't read this at first because of the length, which I think is now perfect. And I was also concerned because of the premise? Like I wasn't sure it would be done well. But the author definitely did a good job! Plus, the TL-ers were also great (the TL is available at CG, and the chapters are not password-locked).

CHARACTERS: 9/10

One can say the characters were pretty generic, but the author did add some complexity to the MC and the more important ghosts. Put another way.:. The characters were mostly simple and written to be charming rather than complex! It's a short story (counting only the Main Text) so it makes sense.

Lin Feiran (MC)

The MC is the silly, puppy-like shou type. His desires are very simple, and he acts on them without much restraint. He is definitely a bit of a tsundere, but only when he hasn't completely decided whether or not he likes something.

Gu Kaifeng (ML)

The ML is not your average stoic gong. It seems like it at first, but he's a lot more thick-faced than that. He's also a lot more hen-pecked along the lines... LOLOL! As a self-proclaimed gay, he doesn't hesitate when chasing after the MC, but that's also partly because he misunderstands a big chunk of the MC's silly actions.

ROMANCE: 9.5/10

This romance story is one filled with misunderstandings! Usually, misunderstandings have a tendency to make romance development a bit frustrating, but the author handled it well here and kept the tone light with lots of humor~ I'm also a bit biased, since the dynamic between the MC and ML here is my favorite type. Enemies-to-Lovers. With a doting gong and tsundere shou.

SETTING: 9/10

The Yin-Yang eyes played its role in this story very well. Not only did it drive the MC's growth as a character, but it was also the central force in pushing the main CP together. This is along with all the great ghost stories (there's only a handful but they're all very sweet and meaningful) that was told in between.

PLOT: 8.5/10

This is a relatively simple plot without many ups and downs. Just what I needed, I think. It's uplifting! Definitely good for putting a smile on one's face, though it's simplicity does mean that there's not much excitement. So for those who like drama and angst, it's probably best to wait until you're in the mood for something more chill before reading this novel.

RATING: 4.5/5

I consider this story a must-read! I loved the characters (the Main CP most of all, but also the various ghosts introduced T.T) and I found the premise super intriguing. Definitely worth a second look too! I'll come back to read the extras then. <<less

If you want to read a cute story about only fluff and relationship about between MC and ML it is nice novel. Supernatural setting only there for support romantic plot and doesn’t go deep. But if you want read good supernatural - mystery plot with romance this novel is probably not for you.

It has typical MC and ML. MC is mostly cute, kind, timid, embarrassed while ML is mostly perfect, handsome, dominant, little forceful. Tho they have typical character settings, character personalities are not too disturbing, relationship development is... more>> cute.

There is clear gong/shou type dynamic between ML an MC in the story also ML describes MC as his wife. ML’s friends says sister-in-law.

Sometimes the flow of story can be dull so I can’t say it is binge read book. Overall it is good novel for relaxing and taking break from heavy plots. <<less

So this wasn't bad. It wasn't great either. The first chapters, which are described in the summary actually dragged the story down. They were slow despite all the spice between the characters.

Once the supernatural stuff took off, it felt like the author was writing a much more animated story. Given that, I would have liked to see the ghost stories in the extras included in the main story and cut down all the slice of life parts.

It's probably me, but I can only read so many scenes of students sitting... more>> in class taking notes, studying, taking tests, playing basketball and graduating. There's only so much that can be done to mix that up.

The four big characters were decently developed. I did feel like the MC's parents were introduced then tossed aside as irrelevant, along with his granddad-who was important to the story and the character.

If you like high school stories, you'll probably enjoy this. If you want more of the supernatural stuff you might look to something not set in high school. <<less

It's really cute and fluffy but imo it gets slightly boring at the end

I loved the ghost scenes, they were really funny

Be prepared for a lot of second-hand embarrassment!
Spoiler

Some of the actions of the ML bothered me, e.g. It was annoying that he didn't really understand that the MC didn't want to kiss him

But on the other hand it's not really his fault, since the misunderstanding was really too big

[collapse]

I still enjoyed reading this very much☺ it was fun and there was no annoying dog blood drama ^^

My star rating for this novel is actually a 4.6/5💫

Omg! Master's Sun, anyone???!! Lol!!

But yeah... if anyone have seen the Korean drama, Master's Sun, this novel reminds me of it lol!

... more>> So.... MC (Lin Feiran) can see and hear ghosts. Whenever he touches ML (Gu Kaifeng) the ghosts would disappear. Thus, MC would always stay near ML and touch him lol! This little action of MC makes ML thinks he likes ML. This is where this cute story takes us!

MC is such a sweet cutie. He's so innocent and a scardy cat lol. He becomes stronger and learns to face his "powers, " though.

ML is shameless, handsome and sometimes a bully to cute MC lol. Cute fluffy stuff.

I like their misunderstandings. Though, more chemistry and a stronger interaction between MC and ML would be nice. I wished they solve more ghostly problems. I feel their getting together was a bit rushed. After that, it kind of got boring. But I still really enjoyed this novel. It's a fun read! 👍

Thankyou for the translations!🥰🥰 <<less

Oh my goodness this was adorable. I love that the whole story was pretty much no angst or drama, just smooth sailing and fluffy puppy love. Half romance half tragic ghost stories, I’m surprised that this novel managed to somehow find a balance between these contrasting genres. The ghosts pasts pretty much all had me crying, I’m happy they had good endings. The romance was so frickin’ sweet, almost rotted my teeth out bc the MC and ML were so lovey dovey. MC is a tsundere and vain, two things... more>> I usually hate in a character, but I didn’t think he was too annoying though. He’s more shy at first but true to himself and his feelings so he’s not making trouble for no reason, he’s easy to see through so he’s actually pretty cute imo.

Somehow I feel like I didn’t get enough, I wouldn’t mind reading about the rest of their lives haha. Very nice story, I would love to have this on my bookshelf and wouldn’t mind reading it again so I can see the MC and ML get together again. <<less

Soooo cute. I love the main couple's dynamics and interactions together. Its not as typical as other novels, the characters aren't perfect, and the shou and gong have a really healthy and balanced relationship (they have their own skills they are good at and the gong isn't overpowering). I really didn't expect there to be angsty parts so that really took me off guard (not about main couple tho).

Simple sweet story of a guy who inherited the ability to see ghosts and kept touching ML to absorb his "Yang" energy to temporarily stop seeming them bcoz he's scared. No angst and the relationship was progressed logically instead of suddenly. Side couple (extras) were briefly touched on but cute too. Ghost's stories were quite touching too. I cried a little.

personal enjoyment: 5/5

overall score: 4.5/5

don't you like me was a lovely, lovely ride that I did not expect to be THAT good. It's fluffy, funny, sweet and steamy--basically every ingredient out there to have a real banger. Fei ran and kai feng are extremely adorable, and the side couple wang zhuo and he hao are also almost on par. The characters are likeable with their own quirks and there are lots of squeal and scream-worthy moments. I also laughed a bunch.

the translation job is also very good, so I would... more>> also like to thank the translators! =) i highly recommend reading this for a good time =)))) <<less

I really liked it and I actually enjoyed the supernatural aspect of it but it's a bit cringey at times and the interactions with other characters or classmates in particular was non-existent. It was like the MC and ML lived in their own little bubble which is disappointing..

As someone who typically doesn't like high school settings, I can say that this was actually pretty good, and a nice and simple read if you're looking for a "comfort food"-type novel. The plot is simple and episodic, revolving around a different ghost each arc, and I found myself caring about all of their stories.

The main characters are not perfect, because they're teenage boys, and if you claim that you've ever met a perfect teenage boy, you're lying. The MC is slightly arrogant, cowardly, and envious, but he's also sweet... more>> and easily moved to tears. The ML is slightly pushy, but not to the point that he's overbearing, and he's a doting 'cool guy' that is sometimes a total dork. They're multifacted, well-rounded, and believable characters, and it's hard not to like them through the good and the bad.

There's a merciful lack of dogblood drama stemming from the major misunderstanding in this novel, and only comedy, so don't let that turn you off. This isn't a typical high school melodrama (for reasons other than the ghosts).

I think my only gripe is that the ending of the main story is very abrupt, and then the story carries on as normal in the 'extras'. It's like the author ended it and then changed her mind for 32 whole more chapters. <<less

This novel is a solid 7/10 for me. No drama, no misunderstandings, just cuteness and love. It starts a little cliche (MC doesn't really like the ML but he needs to be close to him for reason X, ML thinks MC is attracted to him and acts accordingly, etc. But they are so adorable together and they have such a healthy relationship later on that the whole novel ends up being a very pleasant experience. I recommend this to everyone.
