Cliche wish fulfillment Xuanhuan poorly disguised as western fantasy.

Although MC came from a game, there are no LITRPG elements. Most reasonings that came from the game also make no sense. He got a legendary smurf character though luck on char creation. His level 1 smurf that has all crafting skills is equipped with legendary equipment used for battle. He didn't have an inventory but an ilimited space ring inside the game. That's not how MMO games work...

There's no mana, MP, levels or anything like that. He has something called mental... more>> strength to cast spells and it comes from cultivation. Higher mental strength = more or higher level spells. Upon arrival he's conveniently at the house of an old master who teaches him spells and cultivation techniques.

He's also extremely talented in mental strength, has super intelligence and comprehension skills because... he's the MC? The smurf avatar was super duper overpowered though luck? Who knows...

The crafting part is useless and his power doesn't come from any of it. It's just an excuse for the author to give him fame and money fast. It's usually like "He crafted potion X and sold it for Y during Z time" and done.

He kills strong monsters like manticores, wyverns and other in the firsts chapters with only level 1 spells in a boring way. There's no element hierarchy or interesting spell casting. Kinda like reading the log of a turn based rpg where the MC has 100% dodge rate and plot armor.

But the actual first villain which the story delves into is a sh*t for brains Young Master that wants to kill the MC, because some random girl have the hots for him. He's also will use the entire might of his family to crush the MC for such a petty reason.

Pretty sure that this will keep following the standard formula but I don't intend to find out if it'll get better, since it has been terrible so far. Don't recommend. <<less

This story is a prime example of Gary Stu wish fulfillment. Almost no actual world building, character development, or proper lead up occurs. The author just runs from event-to-event showcasing how irrationally awesome our protagonist is.

Story: Self proclaimed otaku who never goes outside suddenly transmigrates as his OP smurf mage mmo character into an unknown fantasy world. Before transmigrating he conveniently transfers a whole acounts worth of rare items to his smurf worth millions of gold, uses it to OP max all crafting professions to a never before seen... more>> godlike level using the never before seen technique of... intentionally failing crafting with high end materials. This is somehow a secret that only our ammaaazziing MC knows. Our MC is able to do this with the materials from his 2 personal mines and killing a black dragon that gave server-breaking amount of loot (no way devs would actualy allow this). After using his secret technique to level all skill professions in a single sitting he is then immediately s**ked into another world. His smurf also has am~a~zing stats~♡. This is already a bit silly but gets worse once the actual story starts.

After waking up to a grumpy old man trying to kick him out only to be wowed by his godlike alchemy knowledge. He takes him as a temp pupil in exchange for alchemy help (since our MC is godlike in all professions). 3 months blaze by with no show just lots of the author stating how amaze-ballz the MC is. Suddenly the old man gives our MC the boot since after 3 months he has no magic left to teach (even though he stated he only taught him the basics?). Off he goes into the wilderness where after spending months with the old man collecting ingredients and killing monsters alone he suddenly has no sense of directional awareness? Soon he happens upon a party of 3 consisting of a hot blonde, her dad, and a mage lusting after the blonde. The blonde is then only refered to by name 2-3 times and is almost exclusively refered to by her physical traits. Our MC, an otaku who has never talked to a pretty girl let alone met one suddenly proclaims himself as a 'lady-killer'. Here is an actual excerpt from the story from the 'hot blonde's' pov.

"A mage who was powerful yet mysterious, humorous and witty, yet possessed extensive knowledge was a total lady-killer.

The blonde beauty walked with her head down along the forest path, listening to the interesting stories and feeling the manly aura coming from the young mage."

Lol, and on the side the other mage is getting jelly since he saw the 'blonde lady with the slim legs' first. Have to agree with another reviewer on Quidans app "Its like a pair of socielly inept incels trying to out Chad each other".

Translation quality is fine but the story is just ridiculously bad. <<less

Legitimately one of the worst novels I've ever read, and it perfectly displays the QUALITY we've come to know and love.

I tried to give it a go, but all it seems to be is another unoriginal, wish-fulfillment, self-insert, indulgent, face-slapping (not) western fantasy where everything exists as a platform to prop up the author's pet gary stu in all his hypocritical glory. Cliche, predictable plot that looks like someone took the worst parts of other bad stories and shoved them together in a crockpot to make this foul crime against... more>> humanity, this mediocre, tastless lump of burned sewage. The whole smurf character plotline just exists as an excuse to make the character pointlessly OP, that's it. That's the entire story. The character is OP. This is the sort of fantasy a 12yo might come up with as he lies in bed, unable to sleep after drinking energy drinks and playing video games all night. Any overlap with western magical tropes and elements is a convenience whose consistency will be outright ignored to, you guessed it, let the character be more OP.

+1 star because at least he's not a p*nisbrained s*xual predator yet. <<less

You don't have to read further than the first handful of chapters to realize the narrative revolves around Lin Li being OP. Before crossing over to the new world he maxes out 5 different crafting skills and uses some scroll to ask a god (A game developer) to grant a wish of improving his skills even further. He's a level 1 character btw who's not only maxed out five skills but also bought his way into advancing them beyond what anyone else can achieve in the game without finding some... more>> bullsht scroll themselves. But anyway, something happens and he gets pulled into another world as his game character. You'd think with that prologue and the stories name this would be a story about a craftsmen and a blacksmith creating epic equipment but... very quickly you will be disabused of that notion. He's now ALSO a genius magic user. Yay!.... In a day he achieves a basic level of mastery in 10, yes TEN different kinds of magics because not only was his smurf accounts crafting skills maxed out (And then some), but so was the characters intelligence. So he's basically a fcken genius at everything and can do anything. It wasn't enough that he was a godly crafter (Or that that's what the story should've been about), he's also a genius at the more traditional role of mages. Combat spells, fighting monsters, etc. Besides the expected complaints like being too overpowered or having plot armor my biggest problem is the story not staying loyal to the theme advertised. I gave The Mech Touch some crap when several hundred chapters into the story the focus swung over to battle and military life instead of mech development like the story was supposed to be about. It went on for way too long and for a while there I felt like the author had done a soft reboot and took out the things it was originally about. Well, this st*pid fck off an author did that on chapter 2 or 3. His crafting skill set will be abused as a plot device to give the MC money, fame and "Omg how can he do that" face slap reactions. It's not respectful of the theme advertised and as a result I couldn't recommend you don't read this story more. It's not just an example of amateurish writing but also the writing of someone actively sabotaging the story for st*pid things and if I didn't know Chinese novels take years of learning for even native speakers to understand (Much less write) I'd say this work is equivalent to a fourth or fifth graders work. You get the writing skill along with the childish notions of what makes a story extra cool and interesting. <<less

This novel would have been good if not for the repititions ang MC has no Backbone the ruthless tag is useless bec even when the MC was plotted, backstabbed, humiliated or almost died on assasination he dont kill his enemies he just keeps being polite and let them go. Thats the most frustating part he let his enemies go. And u know whats more useless in this novel? His 4 max profession its useless bec he doesnt use it himself to arm himself what s*upid novel why name it versatile... more>> crafting master if its useless to MC he got the most rarest ores or plants and has the most max knowledge on his professions he even knows lost recipes! But its all useless bec he doesnt bother to use his gift but instead just meditate for him to get stronger so that the enemies cant bully him anymore! What a f*cking smart MC! O and intead of making legendary armor for himself for protection he just wears a garbage apprentice cloth Because MC Knows He got the Most powerfull Armor of all the "PLOT ARMOUR"!!!! Ive counted the times the MC would have died if not for the plot armour almost 13 times <<less

It's really bad, I mean the MC is really useless, he has a lot of things but doesn't use it, he is very powerful to someone 5 levels higher but weak to another guy that's about the same level, he has 5 almost max crafting professions but it's just for decoration, he also acts s*upid and the world just doesn't make sense, it's like it happens just because the author said so

This site needs to a new renovation to have negative stars or something. This story is so lame that I just don't know how to describe it in words. It's so bad that the guy literally stole ideas from games like WOW. I mean, really, Peacebloom, etc... can you not be so unoriginal?

Plagiarism left and right. There are no concept of creative after the first few chapters. Literally, things just went downhill. How can the MC be so smurf but so s*upid and ret*rded. I just can't understand, if you... more>> have professions so maxed out, why not use them all to make yourself and the folks be like OVERGEAR? I mean, if you gonna use knockoff stuff, just go at it full swing.

What make matters worse is the crappy repetitive wording over and over. Just to meet quotas for word count, the guy just repeat shiet over and over nonstop. Then, the guy forgets the character that was in the story, like literally, what happened to that annoying holy knight? The s*upid eagle bird that he tamed? That bodyguard of a warrior who supposedly got training from some secretive instructor? If I didn't know any better, the writer became more s*upid and ret*rded as he wrote repetitive paragraphs. <<less

If you were an author and named your story about a guy who is basically a crafting God, don't ya think you'd mainly focus on that in the story?

Yeah? Well, the author doesn't agree. People say the MC is overpowered when it comes to crafting. That's true. It hardly even matters though since Lin Li barely ever makes anything.

That's unfortunate too. I really liked the parts where he was working on creating some new equipment for himself or his group. I really liked the backstory of the world he was... more>> in too, but the author only gives info to you in little bits that are few and far between.

There are definitely worthwhile things here and there in the novel. It's all the other stuff that drags it down. <<less

I give it a 2 only because it was a few hours of mindless reading before I got too bored.

The world-building is generated as the MC moves, so there is not much, at all.

The characters are enjoyable enough, but incredibly one-dimensional. The ladies mentioned, I think there have been 3 and one of them was only mentioned as bidding on something in an auction, are all (3) beauties with long legs and flowing hair: only existing to be in awe of the MC. The MC's teachers are mostly old legends... more>> and are amusing to read about, each with personality quirks.

The MC has a good personality that I would enjoy reading about if there was ANY plot to support him. He is supposedly Guru level in all 5 crafting skills: forging, alchemy, pharmaceutics, magical enchantment, and inscription, but other than making potions he has only used his other skills once. Not to mention that alchemy and pharmaceutics are interchanged without distinction and often it's just called potioneering. So, other than a potioneering guru, he might as well not have these skills and the name of the novel is just inaccurate, since he is NOT versatile in his thinking.

The power-system is not explained at any point and you just have to guess if you should be impressed or not. I expect it will just be created haphazardly as the MC gets stronger.

The translation quality is excellent though.

Overall, a decent mindless read for a few hours. <<less

2/5 It hurts my brain how s*upid MC is. Once again a character that does not act like a human being. For enormously small benefits he does all kinds of s*upid sh*t and is coerced into f*ck ton of ret*rded crap. All the choices he make are infinitely s*upid, not something a human being would consider an option.

The plot is crap too, it's completely filled with brain mushing stuff like suddenly deciding to go on adventure and masquerading as a weak person when there's absolutely no need to do... more>> so. He already has the strength to compete for everything in the open but for some god unknown reason decides to act weak and gets abused every god damn time almost as if author is getting his kicks off with this shit.

Everything he ever wants falls in the lap of the MC as well, legendary books of magic are just given to him with the explanation that "Well we don't really need it..." even though its also at the same time claimed that those books would make you so strong that you could walk sideways wherever. Sometimes he takes them, sometimes he doesn't even bother? Even though he claims he needs so much strength to decide whatever the f*ck his own fate.

It feels like this book runs on couple pre-written troupes that the author wrote early on before actually fleshing out the book. They're something like this:

-MC will always win, if it gets close he uses an potion to win

-Everything in the world belongs to the MC. Legendary weapons, unimaginable herbs, metal veins- everything will just pop-out casually and MC will have another 10 or 100 million gold. (already happened like 10 times, MC just finds a vein or whatever and within 2 paragraphs its settled into his money. BTW normal people can only have amounts like 50 gold or something)

-MC has to always appear weak in the eyes of others so he can be mocked/abused

-After being mocked MC will either: a) decide the opponent has too big of an background so he only cripples them or b) instantly weave a spell he couldn't use before and suddenly kill EVERYBODY in the vicinity.

It really, really hurts my head reading this book. I'm an idiot for continuing this far, what the f*ck was I thinking? This is huge physical pain here I'm talking about, actual pain. For real. Don't read this. There's only 1 baseline for books that MUST exist and it's that characters cant be ret*rded/warped in a way that they don't act human anymore. Human beings make good choices for themselves and people around them based on the situation. This book throws all that out of the window just to annoy the reader. <<less

It’s messy. Some chapters are nothing more than long, scientific explanations. It makes one think that they’re reading a research essay rather than a fantasy novel.

After reading the author’s other work, End of the Magic Era, this story couldn’t compare. It’s disappointing.

"Dont Judge a book by its cover" is perfect here, the novel may look good, sound good, and maybe, even BE good in the first 30 words of chapter one. But everything after that, is terrible. Expect nothing but as much disappointment you can feel at once. MC has the IQ of a rock, but sadly, even with all his powers, gifts, and items brought into this world, Id take that rock as it would have more uses then him. Just imagine, You would use a rock more and find... more>> more of a use for it. Then the MC can do something with his miserable, pathetic, useless, existence. Dropped permanently.

Pro's------

Nothing at all

Con's----------------

No crafting

No emotion

No world building

Terrible character dev

terrible writing

Terrible timeline

Terrible everything. I have not found a single thing I like about this novel other then its made me find other shitty novels, much less shitty. <<less

Three Points.

1. Good Story, Not Every Time Useless Killing.

Some people say, MC has no backbone, he not kill his enemies. So first of all, he didn't need to kill everyone, and who he thinks important, he kill them. Because how can a human kill ant for their little pettiness. Who all time like to kill everyone, please just don't fill your mind with bloodbath.

... more>> 2. Use Of His 5 High Level Profession.

So first he become potion master, who solve his guild poorness, and also with blacksmith he become top power. With the array master, he solve all trap of array. With metal master, he fix all weapon. And also he developed a team of all master, so he not need to work all time for everything.

3. People Description No Level Or MP.

So 1-4 Level - Apprentice

5-9 Mage

10-14 Mage Shooter

15-19 Archmage

20-24 Legendary

25-29 Divine

30 God.

And only MC Has Infinite MP, Which He Gain By Luck.

But In Simple Word, This Is Peaceful Story. Not More Bloodbath, Not Extra Love Cliche, Not Useless Plot. <<less

The story follows Lin Li, also known as Felic, as he is transported into another world with the body of one of his video game characters. He basically never works for anything, while always winning.

If you ignore the dull plot, the numerous plot holes, and characters, the first 100~200 chapters were somewhat good. Mostly because the author was still world building and had somewhat less 2d characters.

After that every character is introduced in one of 2 ways 1 the ‘Face Slap’ 2 the ‘Silent Face Slap’. The Face Slap has... more>> a character be openly malicious to the MC, before the MC proves them wrong. 80% of these characters will hate the MC no matter what happens. The Silent Face Slap has a character thinking down on the MC, before their thoughts are proven wrong. 100% of the characters that are in any scene are either being face slapped or silently face slapped. <<less

the story starts somewhat good...

but it fall a part as it progress.... some characters are just dropped and forgotten (not that you would notice them).

The world itself is poorly constructed... I mean the magic council is one of the highest authority in the kingdom... but any strong bandit group can attack the magic guild to give the MC something to do I guess.

I really wanted this novel to be good I had high hops for it... but it feels like a Tetris game everything falls to the MC when it... more>> needed. <<less

Poorly executed. The main premise is that he has god like crafting skills in the 5 main support jobs. However the only visible usage of this is for either bragging rights or face slapping. It turns into a very cliche chinese fantasy LN with no substance. Would recommend reading if you were scraping the bottom of the barrel and in search of something that requires no thought processes to read

For this I will give two star for prologue only. Reason? Is there a need? He become master of all... then none. He Become ret*rd for s*pid reason. I mean the author may have some problem to his brain. He said that the MC become master of all but then when he transmigrated in the game or whatever he doesn't know magic and need to learn? Is he s*pid or what? HE IS THE MASTER OF ALL! Did he not simply understand that? Did not need to learn what he... more>> already know. All he needs to do is understand the world itself or how to get back... Whatever. This novel hopeless. <<less

A good story at first, but I just can’t get used to Chinese novel style where:

Spoiler

- the MC name are different in thought and in calling (he calls himself Lin Li but everyone else calls him Felic)

- no time skip. 92 chapter and it’s still a month. It seems like everything that happens has to happen immediately, within a month the MC already become the most famous and he ruins the family opposing him. (Well, in this aspect, this novel is still better that some chinese novel that has 10 confrontations happening in a day.)

- the girls. Thankfully, unlike many chinese novel, there hasn’t been any girl tagging along the MC so far... but sadly there’s already a sign of 2 useless girls that’s going to follow him. Please, write a competent girl that isn’t bashful and blushing and crying in front of the MC.

[collapse]

As for the many explanations of crafting, I found it quite enjoyable. <<less
