The high school girl Manami who had fallen down the emergency stairs at school had, before she noticed, become a three year old in the world of an Otome Game. What’s more, that little girl was one of the rival characters that appeared in the game; the can’t-take-a-hint-burikko-type-rival daughter of a marquis family. What awaited her at the end was social obliteration. Though she did get a bad feeling about this… Manami decided not to worry! It was a dream after all, so that had nothing to do with her. For now, she’s going to master magic! Hooray!

Much has already been written so I'll just add my 2 cents.

But the development is so cringe worthy that I just couldn't go on after this super strong mage she is supposed to be gets taken advantage off by a weak fatty. Even before that she starts to just become the damsel in distress... argh so annoying.

It started off strong, but Achille really made things go downhill once it became obvious he was the love interest. He's pushy and controlling, including manipulating his friend's family and servants so that he can force her to marry him. I've got some other complaints but honestly, they're just minor quibbles. From what I see in the other reviews it seems like I picked a good time to bail 'cause it sounds like the whole point of the series with Camille gets undermined by not letting her live up to... more>> her reputation.

I thought the idea of a toddler reincarnating into an older child with no idea that she was in an otome game was interesting. I wish Mei had been explored a little more but the series just seems so enamored with that prick Achille that it couldn't be bothered to develop Camille's other relationships onscreen. <<less

Well, I did hear that this was one of the first otome novels to be translated so I decided to check it out. First of all, our MC lacks common sense for some reason (shes a high schooler from our world, and has played the game before, so why does she seem to be a bit hare-brained about everything except magic and that isnt even the main draw of the novel). Our childhood friend is kind of overbearing and off putting once he notices his own feelings and instantly turns... more>> into obsessed boyfriend mode, romances like these make no sense to me (in addition to the fact that due to the short nature of webnovel chapters, it feels like it instantly happened). Like, our MC feels pressured to freaking like the guy instead of appreciating and seeing the good things in him first. MC has also mentioned that she has some experience with having boyfriends and such, inconsistency much?.

Regardless, the world has tons of potential (this is usual for any webnovel) but as this novel seems more focused on relationships, looking at that and the rest of the things in the novel is redundant.

The writing is average and my interest in the novel only stayed because the novel seemed fun. Until the badly written childhood friend’s possesiveness came to light.

P.S. This also suffers from POV switching done badly so yeah, if those bother you stay away from this. <<less
