Late at night in the middle of my part time job at a convenience store, I had an encounter with a robber and was mercilessly stabbed to death.

As I was about to lose my consciousness, I thought about how much I wanted to do this and that when I heard a voice……

『The wish to be summoned has been confirmed. Granting Unique Skill 《Jack of all Trades, Master of None》』

Rude words such as that were said. Jack of All Trades, Master of None? Don’t screw with me!

Such thoughts and wishes were for naught as my consciousness faded, when I came too I was standing on a green foggy hill.

Great story better than most isekai novel that I have read. Great that the protag isn't going down the harem route and focus on one. Looking forward to future releases!

It started off good but went down hill for me when MC just let the wolf boss screw him. MC has enough power to kill the wolf and yet the author chose the weak route. I can't stand a MC who doesn't use his brains in tough situations. This cup of tea is not for me but maybe it's for u.

This WN isn't really a novel - it's a collection of Yelp reviews for the other world inns, bars, and stores the main character visits during his journey.

Normally I get bored with slice of life novels around this chapter, but this one managed to stay interesting, perhaps because of the journey aspect.

I would say it deserves more a 3.5. It's good, but not great.

Pros:
-An actual relationship/romance, though it feels watered down. Nothing... explicit.
-Individual events are pretty good.
-Good translation. Not immaculate, but very good compared to many other novels.
- It's interesting enough, but the typical building of tension and interest simply isn't there.

Cons:
- My biggest issue is that the author has no skill in building suspense. Very rarely will you feel worry that MC is actually in mortal danger. Some spots have a decent buildup, but the... more>> resolution is... unsatisfying.
- Author forgets rather important details. For example- the armor MC is wearing is definitely Type A... and is so for a good long while. Suddenly it is being called Type B armor with the benefits that come with Type B instead of Type A.
- This is not always the case, but obvious solutions oftentimes simply escape the MC.
- Plenty of skip-able material. For example.... food scenes. Author-san, you have written in great detail about food at least a dozen times already, we don't need another two pages on hunting for food in a city.
- Is there even an overarching plot? Definitely needs a 'slice of life' tag, but for adventurers. <<less

its not dark at all its a generic isekai slice of life with the difference being the MC isnt the hero and doesnt have a harem. Its not bad its not good its about as average as it gets. As far as ratings go it lands somewhere between 2 and 3 stars but the translater did a good job so its not painful to read. Honestly your time is better spent somewhere else if you dont want to reread the same slow paced slice of life that you have already... more>> read 10 times before <<less

Pretty light hearted stuff actually. Not super fast paced nor super slow paced, just something middling in a luke-warm world. Nothing much of a grand battle or war, no Demon Lord seeking world domination. Just a world with a few countries not vying for supremacy. Only real tension here is the random bit of trouble our duo tends to stumble into without much care or consequence. Lack of a harem is nice, and lack of a loli floating about the perimeter is also a breath of fresh air.

Really, everything about... more>> this story has a flavor it being it's own thing. It also, sadly, comes off as a bit contrived at times. Things just happen simply because the story would be boring otherwise and so the author makes it happen in a rather forced or somewhat surreal way. If anything I'd say the author's ability in character writing is what's lacking, the majority of side characters are one side of a single coin, either very nice and caring, or apathetic and rude. Often times it comes off as jarring because it makes no sense for a proprietor of a shop to be rude to their customers and expect to make a living, but it's here none the less.

That being said, the story is cute, fun to read and has a fair bit of development in regards to the two MCs. It might feel slow at times but this is made up for by it's quaint style and is to be expected of a world not rife with war or any major conflict. Just a slice of life of a pair of adventurers doing what one would expect them to be doing. You aren't going to find a lot of combat or a super OP MC, though he is kind of OP in his own way (he just doesn't make use of it that often), it isn't in that over used overwhelming way that most isekai stories revolve around. Fun for a weekend of binge reading or just as a side novel when you need something to fill time. <<less

For now it's 3 star from me. The main reason it's not a 4 star because the MC is trying to "master" 1 weapon which is sword. May be I read the novel half-heartedly but I think it was "master" than the word "use" was used in one or two chapters. Anyway its not that I am eager to make correction, mc's this decision appears very s*upid to me. He knows what his skill is so rather than being stuck with one weapon he should be using multiple. What's more... more>> surprising is that his partner doesn't even objects to his decision. This is what made me deduct 1 star. Battle scenes are not written properly by the author and the pacing of the story is kinda dull to me. Unless author decides to introduce more interesting things in the novel, this will be like one of those typical crap. <<less

It is a nice story that I have not felt drawn into. The MC is not too bad, the translation and writing are nice. There is not a lot at stake and the hero does not need to do everything in his power to survive another minute. However, for a relaxing story it is somewhat too “real/gritty” - the adventurers are bullying “the new guy”, the skill given at reincarnation is useful for basic things, but takes long to really shine, etc. The excitement begins to build up at the... more>> moment I have stopped reading, however I find myself tired of waiting in limbo between slice of life and action.

All in all, I recommend you read maybe ten chapters and decide for yourself. <<less

I like the world setting and characters, the power setting didn't get broken and the characters get powers in a cohesive feeling through their efforts and merits, there's not much cooking filler and soy sauce and what not, also it has a relative steady pacing of adventure through the novel, but I can't give a full score because the protagonist is overly sentimental and dramatic every few chapters, it's contradictory because he admit not being too attached to his life in the former world, as he never tried in school... more>> and never kept up with his friends, worked night shifts with almost no human interaction and was stabbed in a robbery, he was already an adult, not a school kid, yet he is so weak in heart... Just skip every whining paragraph and you feel much better overall. <<less

THANK GOD ISEKAI WITH MONOGAMIC RELATIONSHIPS EXIST!!!!! Kudos to the author, and "Tiger Translations" for the great translation.

The novel makes fun of isekai clichés, and at times goes against them. One of the side characters is your typical isekai MC, who has its own harem that increments whenever he does something for someone of the opposite gender. And you see his life from a knowledgable outsider's perspective.

Even if the story has its share of mu*der scenes, it is quite chill to read. There's no drama,

I'm usually not a fan... more>> of the skill "Jack of all trades, master of none", but the more you dive into the WN, the more interesting it gets, culminating in the last chapters. I think they handled the skill well. They didn't either make it too OP or too weak.

The MC is actually good?. Yeah, he does have the "Japanese mentality" most MC's have, but unlike the rest, he does get "used" to killing and living in the new world. Another thing that differentiates him is that he isn't dense when it comes to romance, although he has his moments when it comes to his skills. And even if there are some girls interested in him, he plainly rejects them. Nothing of "umm... well... no...?"
The characters are also good, even if some are clichéd, they still feel original. I love the heroine, she isn't a carbon copy of other heroines personality-wise, she is strong, and doesn't need the MC to save her (unless it's related to her trauma). Thank god she isn't one of those that say: "I don't mind you having another partner if you make me your first" or smth like that.
They have really good chemistry and a healthy relationship. It's not a one-sided relation. They both help each other, they don't have useless fights, and if they do, they solve it in a relatively civilized way. Also, they share a really strong bond. Something you normally don't see in a WN, because usually the MC gets swayed really easy (which ends up in harem)

One great thing this novel does differently is the topic of food. I love that the MC isn't trying to bring Japanese food into the world, and he just eats what originates from the current world (even if he wants things like soy sauce). Staying on the topic, those chapters get repetitive at some point. The description of the meals aren't too original either. It's as if they were copy-pasting "Shokugeki no Souma" descriptions.

What else... That's all I can think of.
I gave it 4* because even if there isn't any BIG thing I dislike about it. It's still missing something to become a 5* <<less

I really enjoy this novel. A isekai story where the main character is not a dense idiot. The protagonist is not OP, while he is fast and definitely strong, his battles are not walk in the parks. He increases strength faster than others, but still at a slow pace compared to others in this genre.

My only problem with this novel is that he does not take advantage of his ability to be a Jack of All Trades. He puts to much focus on a couple things, even though he should... more>> not be able to master them. Now there is a good chance that this might change further in, but even then the author ignores the idea of a Jack of All Trades, which would mean he should be able to learn anything, but he cannot even learn all magic types (at least not yet).

Besides that one problem, the story is a nice slow paced action/adventure novel. Do not expect chapter after chapter of action, there is a lot of slice of life, and preparation. There may be quite a few clichés, but I think the novel handles them well. <<less

MCs skillset is tragically underdeveloped. Jack of all trades = can use swords so just use a sword. That's about as deep as the progression hole is. He'll solo very high level monsters and not even mention level ups for multiple chapters.

Food chapters are on point. It's not to my taste but to each their own.

Love story is betes inducing.

Translation is excellent.

Tldr: light and fluffy

The story good for beginner reader like me because sometime I cant understand if theres much of information or maybe I just like story that have good story and character development

Food scene little bit long I think...

Sometimes you cant undetstand mc's decision, want to live with his girl forever but dont want to fix his lifespan or he is just loyal to his 1st benefactor. But for me that decision is good to defeat his rival by not using op buff.

My only complain is he will leaving his girl... more>> in 50+ years and thats not even 1/4 of her life. Loner girl... maybe he just practicing her if his gone so he can find another much easier haha <<less

nice and fluffy, fun to read about 2 people being in love in a fantasy setting. MC is OP but you shouldn't be reading this for the only for the action

Biggest pile of sh*t I've ever read. You can tell that the author had wished like 100 chapters in that they wrote Asagi as a women and made this into yuri.
Spoiler

The author HAS to be a women with how this was written. There's rampant yuri, even yuri bait with Daniella (rabid lesbian fangirls of daniellas that hate Asagi for no reason). Several women that asagi meets wind up with other women for no reason other than it's the authors fetish. Asagi frequently describes Daniella as manly and she's written like a male shoujo capture target sometimes, asagi wears the panties in the relationship. Each arc has Asagi turning into more of bit*h than he was in the previous arc. Asagi is capable one shotting a legendary dragon while daniella can't even solo a wyvern yet she is "stronger" than Asagi. In the later chapters daniella insults him so often and so brutally that I can't believe he hasn't just ditched her somewhere

This is a slice of life novel Set in another world. It is not about fighting Monsters or Bad guys and so far the MC is just goofing around going from town to town without a goal.

The novel itself is pretty well written but I was Looking for a Story about fighting with swords and magic and getting stronger. I was also quiet annoyed about the immense amount of Detail that went into describing the Food.

While I liked that MC is monogamous and they get togethet quiet quickly I think... more>> it went a bit too fast. I think they Spend like 3 weeks together before saying I love you.

Im dropping this for now and maybe pick it up later when I want to read some slice of life Story since it was quiet good. <<less
