The beginning was somewhat interesting but it loses all its value when the author start to focus on action scene in the valley of death.

The author chose to focus his story on battles, which is weird since he's really bad at describing battle scenes. They are boring, slow, unrealistic, and just disrupt the flow of the story.

The author should just focus on other elements of his novel instead of battles.

Very boring read, honestly felt like it was a Chinese novel with the amount of plagiarism going on.

This is a League of Legends fanfic but the characters have different names and the minions are summoned against their will to fight and die.

I kept reading this because I liked the idea that he could bring his powers/items that he got in the battlefield back to reality- but it doesn't really make much of a difference in his life- all he gets out of it is the ability to teleport around and... more>> a buff body because of his soul power increasing (which in the story's lore affects the body.)

Read this if you literally have nothing else to read; or you're a fan of mind-numbingly repetitive MOBAs (that play the same scenario on repeat, on the same map, with the same characters, forever.) This story manages to be as boring to read as MOBAs are to play. <<less

As a league of legends player and perceptive person, I can tell this is a little book for kids. For kids, not that its writting is immature or undeveloped -which is- it is for kids.

It is not about how Simple it is, it is about how s*upid it is, accompanied by regular worst american movies where there is just bad writing and bad plot and it's a supernatural one- lines of, transformed into a family friendly though it involves mu*der and revenge, all the way to the e and l... more>> of cringe and awful.

Then this brainless author -Dawon- has an obvious politicaly incorrect fetish about korean high schoolers. And he doesn't hesitate to show how much he can ret*rdad his way around to complete a chapter while enjoying himself. As well as perfectly a politicaly correctly stating how much MC is thinking so hard she is a highschooler. Highschooler d*ck grows, bad. College girl d*ck grow, better.

A novel to insult yourself if you're not a maso, gl. <<less

This certainly has an interesting premise but the execution style is choppy.

The world building is boring and the fights are long without proper interactions.

The main gripe I have is that the MC becomes friends with the heroes but we don't see it in the beginning as there is a time skip. Also his interactions with the people of the real world is very lacking. After the initial chapters we never see him mention his acquaintance girl from the convenience store or his colleague who he promised to dine out with.... more>> Nor do we see his parents.

Also the stakes aren't high. Initially when he only had a single life he had to struggle to survive

But since he leveled up his cautious personality changed. He's more reckless.

Also he truly lacks tact in dealing with people.

All in all 2.5 stars.

Only read if you are bored. <<less

The story's premise was okay for me. He started as a minion and death could follow him everywhere. But the tension stopped when he became a champion. So I dropped this story and only picked it up after a long time. The tension came back but only for a short time when Elrot became crazy with his actions but it was mellow because of other characters' inventions. Dragon-Killer? Battleship? Global Teleportation? What more do you want? He kept saying he wanted to deal with management but the author failed to... more>> make them a proper villain.

The second I recognized was the romance. It was messy and I didn't know if his lover was Sarang or Eunsoo. There were even hints of harem. Is he really that handsome or charming?

Third point, the MC was too OP at the end. He might not be in Earth but in Dimension Battlefield, everyone became useless against him. It was like the author was lifting his own chair. Even before fighting Atlan, I knew already that he would win the game but not as fast as that. Everything fell into his lap without much hard work. Maybe I nitpicked too much because I compared to it with Coiling Dragon and Desolate Era, where training spanned with enormous amount of time. But his powers still shouldn't be overpowered when he was only training using week as unit. There was also the The King's Avatar, the amount of hard work and struggle (of course luck) were clear to see. But I don't see that from Junhyuk. Also, the game in TKA were balance. Here... I don't want to say anymore.

Next, there are many misspellings and mistakes. And I believed the author's favorite word was 'though'. Hence, it was hard to be immersed.

Lastly, there were so much wasted potential for the managers. They were supposed to be godlike. I remembered Terror Infinity (I've read it many many years ago) and that gave me the example how godlike the "God" they were talking about and also how hard to jump out of the box.

In conclusion, the story was easy to eat. Borderline junk food. Just good enough to waste time. But don't expect something amazing out of it. <<less

I'm not even going to try to describe this. From the very first chapter, tiny plotholes start popping up. The authors just puts stuff in without logic or trying to reason how other people would react to the situation. The world revolves around the MC and everyone else is just there to push the plot forward.

The novel starts off like The Tutorial is too Hard" or life "Arena" with similar plot lines. However, the author changes everything from the mc's personality to the game settings. The MC starts off as a kind-hearted hero, but later on, when hundreds of minions are dying, don't care. After a few chapters, however, he turns back into someone who cares for them and starts helping them.

For the game setting, the author keeps on changing the setting he came up with. The setting changes for the MC, like ... more>>

him being able to hurt a hero with 35 defense when he only has 30 attack (10 (base attack) *2 (strength rune) + 10 (basic longsword)). And this is before he has the +set amount of strength. He also becomes as fit as a professional soccer player after training only a few weeks, he is able to do dual wielding with two LONGSWORDS (I might be wrong, but its usually done with a rapier and a dagger) quite professionally, enough to continuously block heroes' attacks, and he is able to move every single muscle in his body after one month in the dimensional warfare. He is also able to re-direct the force he got hit with to the enemy without some fantasy skill. The MC is usually just a strong expert, but then the situation requires it, he is able to even kill a hero.

Spoiler

others include the heroes not getting discounts when experts do, a barrier able to withstand everything for 10 seconds when a healing power of the same level is only able to heal 25~30% of a hero's health. The MC is able to defy physics, always gets s*upidly strong powers (there is no [10 second limit as the author always makes everything dangerous happen before that 10, even if it is illogical). If the novel admitted that the MC is OP like some JP novels, it won't be this bad. However, it has the same tone as novels like ARENA. It is like a comedy novel without any jokes.

[collapse]

The MC always survives with his thick plot armor and he always wins. Because the novel keeps making the MC win illogically, there is no suspense and the novel gets boring, like the fights from comedy novels without an action tag. The author doesn't get than just making suspense by suddenly weakening the MC (its not a part of the plot) or bringing in enemies that are described as formidable can't work for even 50 chapters. The reviews of ones who read like 100+ chapters give it s 4~5 star, so I thought it would get better and tried reading starting from the 100th chapter. However, it stays the same. I tried reading this novel because I rarely am dissatisfied with a weak-to-strong Korean novel, but I just had to drop this one as the illogicalness went on and on and only got worse and worse. <<less

The novel is rather boring. It's just an endless series of fights with immortal enemies. Especially since it's against the same enemies over and over.

The characters are too cliche. The main character is a saint. The hero doesn't play smart or really do much of anything except risk his life for others. It'd be more interesting to focus on his interactions with others as he helps them; who takes advantage of him, who doesn't care, and who helps him back. Right now it's too focused on every move in the... more>> fights. <<less

It's simply hard to read, hard to follow, hard to believe.

Small synopsis of MC first encounter with this dimensional battlefield:

Spoiler

Was literally time-skipped by the author, a whole month of supposed action/training/survival/whatever else, what we got was half a chapter of nonsense.

Makes me wonder if author really plan to develop battlefield theme or just thrown it into otherwise mundane slice-of-life?

What should I say...

This is more like 3.7 star

I like the way the author writes about the teamwork fighting. It's written quite detailed and though the landscape doesn't change much, the fighting strategies differ enough to make it interesting to read.

The MC is helpful and not bloodthirsty unlike in some other novel. And all the heroes from the Dimensional Battlefield are really helpful mentors and partners in fighting. Each characters written nicely with enough character depth.

The equipment explanations are interesting to me, not sure for other people.

Spoiler

And yet one thing I'm really annoyed with, it's a harem again every time the MC go back to earth. The MC gladly help any females he encounter, and yet none of the males (every male with power he encounter are hostile, only one is not, yet he's not willing to help him).

And he seems like getting hopes up for every female he's close with, and not clear which are going to be his girlfriend. He kissed one girl, and then another girl clings to him and he allows it.. things like that are really annoying to me, so I often skip the earth story except for when he trains.

Even though in reality (and novels) many men would do that, I had hoped to see a different MC here since he was described since the beginning as a kindhearted person who risked his live for others...

[collapse]

This is a quite tiring novel for those doesn't like a detailed fighting scene, since the earth scene doesn't give much. <<less

This novel gets good. I have no idea what was going on with the first 30 or so chapters, but the quality of the writing increases dramatically after that point. The story stills has its issues, including an aimless MC that seems to have no real motivation to do most of what he does, but I feel like I attribute that to being a korean culture thing as most korean protagonists seem to act like paranoid zombie apocalypse preppers the moment they gain any power, supernatural o otherwise. But besides... more>> that, the novel gets more interesting. The fights are engaging, the character's personalities get fleshed out, and the real world progression feels realistic though a bit repetitive if you have read any other korean novel with supernatural and modern setting. But if I had any real downsides to mention, it would be that the author didn't try hard enough to remove the influence of league of legends on his stories premise. Honestly would have been perfectly fine as long as he didn't mention every hero having 3 skills and an ultimate. I think if he took that out and just said "you need to have 4 seperate supernatural abilities to be eligible to fight in this tournament" and changed the names of certain things a bit more, people wouldn't have even noticed. <<less

This is an interesting novel and pretty unique. If you play any MOBA games like Dota2 or League of Legends, you will understand the gist of the story. Basically humans are transported to a 5v5 MOBA game as disposable minions with no skills. However, they can evolve to have skills. MC is one of these tr*sh minions that slowly evolve to become a hero. Here are the rules of the MOBA.

  1. Minions die forever if killed so humans die forever as a minion
  2. There are 5 heros on each team that never die, only revive at their base, but they drop one random item if they die.
  3. Minions can evolve to have one skill, they will get better overall stats and be called a novice. Novice will still die permanently.
  4. Novice can evolve to Expert if they get 2 skills and they will have 1 life extra during each game.
  5. Expert can evolve to Champion if they get 3 skills and they will have 4 extra lives.
  6. Champion can evolve into a Hero if they evolve their ultimate 4th skill and be the same as any other hero.
In terms of MOBA brought to life in a novel, its a pretty interesting concept and a quick read. There are some cons with the novel since the MC takes the center stage a lot so the allied heroes... more>> literally seem like bronze scrubs that can't do anything without the MC. The MC is surrounded by hot women but is still a virg*n at 400 chapters which is just terrible. The games are long and pretty back and forth so after a while, the story bogs down and becomes pretty boring. Its interesting when meeting new enemies with new skills but just like MOBAs the MC has to kill them multiple times over the map until he can push down the enemy base and that takes forever.

Overall, its unique, the beginning of the story is pretty interesting, its a quick read. 4/5. But, don't get too invested into the story since overall quality is not that great. Its just a nice way to kill time with a unique webnovel. <<less

Step one: Transfer to new dimension

Step two: witness mu*der and blatant disregard for human life

Step three: save random guy you never met at the expense of losing group

... more>> step four: give guy you never met you only weapon while he’s injured and y’all are alone in a forest, which could literally have anything in it.

Step five: drop novel.

Well yeah, I knew this novel wasn’t gonna be for me based off that one move. On a certain level I gotta respect the authors choice of making the MC an idiot like this. Definitely not for me though, I can tell from that one move (step 4) that this novel would be piss me tf off if I keep reading. <<less
