This novel is as good as most other novels in this genre and I have enjoyed it so far. There are some inconsistencies, like the initial claim that a different spoken language had to be learned but then a few chapters later the MC is pointing out specific Japanese grammar when interacting with people. The first female love interest seems nice, but she is actually rather bizarre when looking at her role through the story and her family's behaviour makes no logical sense to me. I would compare with Lord... more>> of Mysteries and Skeleton Knight in Another World, which have more logical and likeable female leads and well thought out plots but have common story arcs. However, so long as you are not expecting to read Mark Twain or CS Lewis level of work and like my previous two similar examples of novels, this novel should easily meet your expectations. <<less

This event this weapons, next event other weapons, some weird weapon of choice with textbook combat effectiveness plus whatever exaggeration the author wanted, exhaust points, refill with stone, repeat. No resource management, no stockpiling in preparation of bigger plot. No ambition to grow the story.

This novel itself has quite a lot of potential, but until this point, the only development MC got was that necklace or whatever iirc, the one that lets him travel the dungeon or something.

That message from god or whatever was a clear disappointment for me, it'll... more>> probably do dungeon running with occasional something and being the complete pushover he is.

My impression of this story,

So... dude summon a submarine, which the engine room he magically cannot enter, why? because author had no idea what it looks like inside, at one point he didn't even try to bull his way around it, like when he semiauto a welrod and else. <<less

Mediocre is probably best way to define it. It isn't great and it isn't bad. It is just.. 'Alright.'

It might be because it feels targeted for different audiences. I guess if you a gun nut, you might like it a bit more. The concept is okay, unsure of other novels that did the whole gun Isekai type to medieval world. Not many coming to mind, besides some villainous one; but I dunno if that one was before this novel or not. (And again if there may be other novels with... more>> same trope where MC is only one technologically advanced.)

It just gets a bit repetitive at times. Especially with the dungeon which seems what MC spends too much time in. Even the conflicts aren't that entertaining to read. I actually question the direction this is going in and wonder if this may fall under more slice-of-life since plot seems really lacking here.

So to sum it up.

Story: Ok if you have nothing better to read. It will probably get you by.
Plot: Lacking/hard to really follow. I understand the 'concept, ' without getting spoiler heavy; but after that it just feels 'slice-of'life.'
Combat: Well... You can't expect much here. Firearms vs Medieval Fantasy is no brainer.
Character Development: Nonexistent.
Background Characters: Feel more like filler. Not many really stand out. Like any other story focused more on the MC.
MC: Feels bland in very 'average joe, ' sense. You can take that however you want. He isn't amazing nor is he Gary Stu. (Less you want to count the cheats as Gary Stu.)
World Building: Very little. You see some glimpses, but it is hard to map out too much of the world and events. Some minor elements are in background but again this focuses more on MC perspective and doesn't give you too much of glance of world.

This is why I say, if you have nothing better to read it is alright. Again this isn't amazing nor is it terrible. Forgettable? Yea, probably. Lot of things can be forgettable with this work besides MC having firearms. That is just how bad the overall rest of the world is. <<less
