When I opened my eyes, I was inside a novel.

[The Birth of a Hero].

[The Birth of a Hero] was a novel focused on the adventures of the main character, Choi Han, a high school boy who was transported to a different dimension from Earth, along with the birth of the numerous heroes of the continent.

I became a part of that novel as the tr*sh of the Count’s family, the family that oversaw the territory where the first village that Choi Han visits is located.

The problem is that Choi Han becomes twisted after that village, and everyone in it, is destroyed by assassins.

The bigger problem is the fact that this s*upid tr*sh who I’ve become doesn’t know about what happened in the village and messes with Choi Han, only to get beaten to a pulp.

“…This is going to be a headache.”

I feel like something serious has happened to me.

But it was worth trying to make this my new life.

One of the best novel I have read so far. I like the plot and how twisted Cale is but still chose to interfere even though it's annoying. Yea. I like how the story proceeds that completely make you into it. I recommend this novel a lot. One of my favorite so far.

Really love the series. The start is ROUGH. VERY VERY ROUGH! The first 10 or so chapters were some of the worst written I've ever seen. The MC changes personality, completely, sometimes several times in the same sentence. The author hadn't figured out who Cale was. He manages to figure it out and make one of the most interesting characters I've ever seen. And he stays faithful to that character's personality at all times. There isn't a single action taken in this novel that felt odd or out of place... more>> with Cale's character. Every response, every action, every thought, everything is exactly what you'd expect from Cale.

I can't recommend the novel enough! Bear with the first few chapters, they truly are terrible, but it just keeps getting better and better every chapter. <<less

Love it. It's very different from your average isekai novel which I like, especially since the MC is a person that was originally supposed to be someone that got beat up before being forgotten.

The novel is only at its beginning stage. Thus apart from saying it's very interesting to read, nothing much to go on about. So far apart from Cale our MC, other characters are not detailed including characters like the hero. Initially Cale was portrayed as a petty villain to be beaten by hero but later his character has shown more complexity even without our MC. But we can expect growth in many of the side characters bcoz each have their own back story which is not explained yet. The world... more>> itself, political n military situation and the power construction are being slowly revealed so we are still in the fog about the situation outside of MC POV. But the humor is good and the writing style is interesting enough. Lots of expectations <<less

I liked it, but then it got really stale. Political stuff is interesting, but the OP stuff just trivializes everything. The humor is touch and go, the interesting side characters get the background treatment.

The problem is that everything becomes uninteresting when you realize that the thrill was when the MC was at his weakest- the beginning, and the author hasn’t really developed a credible threat to him, at all. The MC raised a god-like being and any problem can be explained away.

The story becomes a power fantasy without the sauce-... more>> he is already a part of the richest family, he’s smarter than everyone, he knows everything, he is super clever, he has connections around the world, he can convince and befriend everyone, he’s protected by op items and beings- do I need to say more?

I gave up when the plot starts to repeat and we had to suffer another disguise arc. <<less

I am so excited for part 2 of the story! This is my absolute favorite light/web novel and I 100% recommend it to any new readers! Trust me, you won’t regret it! It has literally every genre you can think of: fantasy, action, adventure, mystery, basically everything except for romance, but once you start reading the story, you’ll realize romance isn’t necessary at all! This is a great story that focuses on friendship, brotherhood, and family, it’s one of those stories that make you realize that not all families are... more>> blood related, some are created with bonds as deep as the characters have with each other. Cale, the MC of this story, is such a great character who focuses on getting stronger and richer, but his greatest strength is his brain, as he’s an absolute genius. One last thing, the main reason I really love this story is because it’s absolutely hilarious and it just really makes you feel so happy that you can’t help but smile every chapter... please give it a try! <<less

This is the first novel with longest chapter I read. The story really good. The author gives all his heart to creat this novel. The character development was balance. Not only the MC (Cale) which has a good development, another character has many developments in character and in the strength. There is no significant difference between males and females strength. Both has their strength and makes the story feels more balance to each character. There is no 'useless' or 'forgotten' character in this story because almost all the supporter character... more>> has their meaning to the story.

The author did really good job to creat the mystery in this story. His idea about 'paralel worlds' feels like never ending idea and he writes it in very good way to makes the story not boring and makes reader curious to the next chapter.

English is not my first language sorry for my broken grammar. I hope someone who will read this story consider my thought. <<less

Absolutely amazing story,

5 stars without a hesitation,

Love it with all my heart and looking forward to new chapter every day!

I love the world building, characters, there personalities and development, story and the speed we received information, MC, his past, personality and the relationships with the other characters and can't forger about the main and side villains, truly evil.

Definitely recommend to read at least 2 times, you won't get bored of it, I promise. ;D

This was an incredible read. I loved the experience, the characters, the relationship between them, the flow& the pace, everything I just loved everything single thing in this novel.

Such a hidden jem. I wonder if I was living under a rock to not find it till now... well better late than never... it doesn't have romance seriously tho this novel doesn't really need it & I loved that... my first ever Korean novel & yeah it was bang!!! Always only read Chinese or danmei novels but so glad I read... more>> this... this came to me when I really needed it.... thankyou u so much to the translation team for doing such a good job...u guys r awesome 👍

This was some of my first novels. I really liked it, the characters, the plot, and everything else. Sure there were flaws but this gave me both fluff and angst. I might be a bit biased towards this but it does not disappoint. I am too lazy to write a long review so yea, I only have good things to say and maybe you can try it out too!

I created an account just now to write a review I'll mention some spoilers so I started to read the novel after reading the manhwa because I liked it and I read it upto 44 epi and honestly I was bored ok WasBored anyway after 6 months when I had nothing more to read then got reminded of it started reading it again and somehow reached the arc where they started calling him silver shield and seriously I fell in love with it and after I think 10 days I... more>> was in ch700 or something and didn't even realize it honestly speaking you wont know what you're missing if you dont read it and there are some who complained about the story and I agree them this doesn't have the best story the side characters aren't too well written it also doesn't show the villains pov but someone complained about authors writing skills you are very cause I personally don't think this novel would've gotten popular if it wasn't for her skills and you know why I said that cause as you reach the last epi you realize nothing was unnecessary everything that was written no matter how trivial it was used everything was connected it is she planned 1000 epi while writing the very first epi I got goosebumps when they first mention the sky attribute or when they show that the ancient powers are related to each other and yes its not that I never felt it is quite long its just that my mind is completely filled with tcf staff it made me stay awake at night and if you ask me what was memorable scene for me it definitely was cale started to throw gold most comedic scene when he first opened the black book and it said do you want to kill death and cale immediately shut it off most fluffy scene when cale was carrying raon cause he had a cold most annoying was when he was in the sealed god temple most emotional was when they raon mother and got to know they ate his brothers heart most angry moment when I got to know cales whole life was affected because of white thing and lastly most memorable saying, I dont like meaningless sacrifices but I dont like meaningful sacrifices more. <<less

I was reading this together with the lord of the mysteries and my disciples are all villains.

It was very enjoyable and a bit laid back for me, the writing style (or translation style) was unique, and at first confusing, I liked the white star, also I wanna know why he has Kim roksoo's face??

Anyway, I do recommend if you are looking for a misunderstandings novel or an MC who doesn't wanna save ppl (be a hero) but does it anyway and yeah that really put me off.

But! I loved it,... more>> if there's a sequel I will read it <<less

i really liked the story in the beginning. But by chapter 100 I could already see the repetitive plot and dialogues. The dragon was kinda cute so I just continued reading but story just became MC getting a new power- doing some nice stuff (and then trying to justify it with a valid reason every single time which also started getting annoying later on) - then its just every single person talking about how "nice" and "honest" and "amazing" the MC is. I dont usually mind people worshipping MC... more>> but when they do it for every single action performed by MC it gets annoying. And then the hole cycle just repeats again gain power-do nice stuff-get worshipped

anyway this is all just my personal opinion do give it a try you want. I feel like this had a lot of potential but didnt go right. <<less

EFFING READ IT. Believe in all the 5 star reviews. The law of statistics states that the more numbers there are, the closer to the percentage the item in question is to its expected value. THIS BOOK IS #1. This book has nearly 2 thousand people voting 5 stars, and I can GUARANTEE that the reviews are even only the vocal minority. This is like Lord of the End of the World, minus the p*rn, and that is enough for me to drop this.

I don't understand why ppl rate this so high and praise it so much... I could barely force myself to read, because I found it so dumb, cringy and almost nonsensical... It was praised so much, so I thought it was going to get interesting later on, but it somehow got worse...

I guess the ppl rating this so high are rather young

This is a great novel with great story and great characters!!! I highly recommend it bcs it's relaxing and fun to read in the early chapters, but the story get deeper and more complicated as times goes by and yet the MC never change his goal to became a slakker lmao, that's what I love about the MC, there's some boring arc but it goes by quickly and maybe I'll re read that part hoping to see that in a new light. Anw I'm reading TCF after wandering like a... more>> lost soul bcs I finished re reading ORV and at that time, I have unstable mentality, severe trauma and indescribable sadness bcs it's story ending. So TCF is like medicine and healing story for me where the MC is similar in sacrificial mind, but didn't get fatal injuries even death like ORV MC. The amount of sadness is just perfect balanced with happiness here at TCF and I'm really glad I found this novel and decided to read it~ <<less

I like it, but it feels kinda boring at times. It's very similar to Regressor Instructor Manual, except the MC is the more conventionally goody two shoes and the characters are a lot more one dimensional in the morality spectrum. Like someone else said it has a problem of telling too much without showing, which gets like I said, boring. I'd rate it a 3.5 if I could, at least after reading a lot of it, but a 4/5 early on.

The story is a typical fantasy novel that is easy to read. The novel itself wasn't frustrating.

A lot of foreshadowing, and it is amazing when you realize the author gave hints even early in the chapter.

Every arc connect itself and it was truly beautiful.

There are quite a lot of fight scene which I don't particularly enjoyed and found it boring, but it was bearable.

It was hard to bear since a lot of chapter have a cliffhanger, so I recommend to wait and read it bulk.

Those cliffhanger was frustrating.

this is my first time doing a review so bare with me but let’s get started.

first the MC is amazing, he just wants to be a slacker and wants to just live his life doing whatever he wants but ends up getting involved in a lot of things and grows precious bonds along the way where it will absolutely melt your heart when these characters interact. Something else about this novel is that the MC being calm and collected and remembering every single thing out of the novel he is... more>> transmigrated in is all explained further down the line and everything that is said will be important in future events. The MC is smart and strong but he earns his strength overtime even though there is a cost that comes with it. He will always be caring with his family and when it comes with the people who hurts them he will show them no mercy even when the person has a sad backstory he will still do whatever he has to do. Lastly many of the scenes in this novel hit me really hard and I even cried a couple times and the amount of sh*t the MC has and had to go through throughout the story really breaks my heart, him and everyone in this story deserves to be able to live their happy and peaceful life after all this sh*t is over. This story will make you laugh, cry, be overwhelming happy and be absolute angry all throughout their adventure this a absolutely wonderful read and I would recommend this to anyone. <<less
