A surprising one. I honestly thought it will be one of those meh novels.

Nope, it is actually REALLY good, combined with fluffiness too. An unexpected find. Well executed plot and lots of potential, despite the few chapters translated currently.

Also, everyone around her actually knows that she is not the same person. Everyone's smart enough to also notice the most subtle of all changes. At the initial chapters, everyone seems dumb for not questioning her where her revolutionary ideas came from, but nah they are just good at hiding their thoughts.

Edit: This is honestly starting to deteriorate. Really good start though. <<less

I'm very conflicted right now... whether it's because of the MTL-version or the story itself is debatable.

Spoiler

Where I'm up to, the MC is on a date and promised to be engaged to a non-capture target knight but... well, even if it's already known (to the King, the knight and her family) that her soul is older, she was 25 when she died, her physical body is still only 3 and a half years old in this chapter. Even if she uses an illusion to appear around the knight's age.

Ummm... very conflicted on how to feel.

[collapse]

Personally, I like Avoid the Death Route better but these two stories are ve~ry similar. Maybe it will change once the plot progresses more in ADR (since the plot development is slower in ADR then this novel) or once I've read more of this novel but I'm just going to wait for the translator-samas. <<less

She's a child.... a literal child....... who's doing crazy feats and being lovey-dovey with an adult. Also, the plot kinda disappears so if you don't want to think too hard and just want something really light, read it. But if you're going to be continually off-put by the fact that she's a CHILD, don't read it.

The truth is I love this novel, it is great to pass the time if you have a tiring or very boring day, you do not need to read it with a critical eye if not like a romantic comedy, you will not see misunderstandings or much problem so it clears the mind and relaxes it.

Excuse me English but I still don't learn very well (T.T)

Started off decently enough, although generic of an otome game novel. However, it quickly devolves into what appears to be wish fulfillment and almost pedophilic scenarios. The MC, at 3 years old, meets one of the capture targets and instantly falls in love with him and decides to marry him, to which he agrees. Around 7 years old, the MC is having her breasts rubbed by this much older guy. Don't really care how old she is mentally, it's just creepy.

The other chapters also... more>> devolve into pointless and boring slice of life chapters, utterly ignoring the whole otome game setting. There are also chapters LITERALLY filled with the MC and the male lead whispering sweet nothings to one another.

Tack on the usual bland writing of Japanese light novels, and it becomes utterly dull when not creepy.

UPDATE: tried giving it another shot years later and I still felt the same way upon reading it. I'm all for slice of life, but this novel has no substance. There's almost no world building either. Still only 1 star from me <<less

There are a lot of flirting in this story and it makes me slightly uncomfortable to read, regardless of how normal the characters in the novel are trying to pretend that it's fine.

It's weird.

Seriously, I get why this novel is hated. She is indeed too OP. There literally no struggle in this story just a lot of hardships from side characters. I get it but at the same time, I don't.

The whole plot literally circles around her being a beneficiary therefore loved by all spirits. The spirits are OP not her. Sui, Hal/Haru, Alissa, Darkness sama, and even Holy beast, are literally the definition of OP. I get why she got OP items too because again, the village where it is at, is... more>> the home of her spirits, so naturally she reaps the benefits. Lol. The logic is so wack that it's funny. I love how consistent they are tho.

Btw I get the pedo warnings. But come on guys if Rin was the only soul in that body and she was harassing Dirk. I would scream pedo as well. Having Rosalia is like average their age lol, so technically it's not pedo. 25+3/2= 14 so it's no pedo. Technically. Lol. <<less

I really love this novel. I don't really think that the pivotal point of this novel is that the MC is way too OP but rather the fluff and idk improving her relations with other people and destroying her death flags. Sure, being OP is kind of offsetting but if you could ignore that and read for the fluff, the story is really nice.

Normally I only go as high as 4 star but this story really likes to go on a roller-coaster ride which makes it refreshing from the other novels with the same plot.

A lot of these novels they just have the MC crush flags and live in fear of the future but this story the MC just takes a lets wing it and do what I want view of things.

When reading this just expect common sense to go out the window.

Warning! Near lethal levels of cuteness detected! Escape impossible, recommend building resistance by continuous exposure over a protracted time.

(Real review as follows: This is one of my favorite novels. It somehow manages to include a serious plot without ever losing the light and fluffy feel that I prefer. Yes the MC is an OP mary sue, but in my opinion that doesn't tend to detract from slice of life novels in general. Honestly the way this character uses their knowledge and power feels way more real to me than... more>> those other OP MCs. That they still somehow have to struggle with everything or keep encountering strong enemy after strong enemy despite their supposed advantages never felt right.) <<less

If you search for a fluff, then this novel is in your alley.

With that said, I personally don't think this is worth that 4.6 score (1st of August 2018). Somewhere around 4.0~4.1 is more appropriate.

The MC is well.. Rather mary sue, like nothing she will ever do will be wrong in another person's eyes, and for every ideas she hatched every one else follows without any second thought.

Is it bad? If the story is on a more serious tone, yes very much so, but until chapter 10 the story is... more>> filled with fluff instead of plot, so I suppose it's doable. But if you don't like this kind of MC, turn away now.

I had to stop.

Seriously the OP-MC/FL is forgivable, her absurdity is forgivable, the ML’s meekness is forgivable, even the strange acceptance of the MC’s “genius” by everyone who’s not in the know is forgivable.

Spoiler

But her body is f*ing three, the ML is f*ing thirteen and yet they get lovey dovey? Like I have no problem if they declare their love and agree to get engaged but kissing, and not the peck on the lips kind it seems like?

[collapse]

Spoiler

Yes, I know that the MC/FL is an adult spiritually and is using illusion magic to appear older. That’s all well and good but the ML is an actual thirteen year old, a timid and soft one at that, so why did it get weird with the date and general flow of the relationship between the two.

[collapse]

The setting of the story is the usual Girl reincarnated as the Villain in an Otome game, the interesting part was
Spoiler

The Villainess’ family know that the FL isn’t the original and so does the ML and other characters of note

[collapse]
. So it could have been a major factor in differentiating this story from all the other Otome game Villainess Isekai stories out there but the focus of the story went weird and the relationship of the main CP was even weirder (even gross if you think deeply about it).
Spoiler

There’s also the fact that the MC/FL loved the ML because he was a character of a game that was her favourite, and she just decided that she loved him from that and the ML who just met the 3yr old MC for less than a year also agrees to the relationship. It’s very forced and unnatural

Just a quick note! I don't know if this is editable, but there are currently 155 chapters available through the translator's patreon at this moment, only 113 are available within the links. I read all 155 within two days, and this is a very light-hearted and funny story, so I would recommend it if you need a break from drama or the darker stuff. There's a lot of mofumofu, so if you like fluff, you should like this too!

Things get resolved quickly and in a positive manner. I'm not sure... more>> if it's supposed to be a parody, but things get a little crazy, and you get pulled into the pacing at times.

10/10 for the translations (thank you shinsori! ご馳走さま でした! :)

10/10 for comedy and amus**ent

10/10 I would read it again!

I'll add a better review later when it's not nearly midnight and when I have more time, as I have a work meeting early in the morning... <<less

It starts out nicely, but falls off very sharply. The review contains some minor spoilers, but the "plot twists" (if one can even call them that) are not mentioned.

I can accept an op MC, even to the point that the plot doesn't matter and the whole story is based around the characters and their relationships to another instead, although I do think that this is not a good approach to the death flag villainness sub genre. Usually these stories get their juice out of desperately avoiding bad ends and getting... more>> OP stuff and romance on the way, not having it handed before any significant conflict is anywhere near in sight.

Next is the relationship. There's no question that a thirteen year old holding romantic feelings for a three year old is immoral. This can be barely excused by the three year old transforming into a supposedly attractive sixteen year old. However, the other way around it doesn't work. The MC is either three or twenty-five and should most certainly not attempt to physically engage a thirteen year old.

Lastly, the writing in general is mediocre. So many things happen that are just not explained at all and you can somehow piece it together with information from later chapters. The first time the MC transforms into an older version of herself she just does it, with no explanation of what she uses to transform, why she's able to, or why nobody reacts to it. A few chapters later, an illusion spell is vaguely mentioned without elaborating on any details. I've kept rereading passages to try to make sense of them and they just don't, and it's not because of the translation. <<less

I actually love how unbelievable this sh*t is. Its refreshing for me to read something that exact opposite of common sense. Its full of flaws yes, full of holes yes, yet still enjoyable for me. I wont reread it, but I was never bored while reading it.

I'm currently reading 4 chapters, and it feels too 'cartoonish' not in a sense that I don't like cartoons, more so that it lacks thought and common sense.

For example, no toddler in practicality would be able to say that "poisonous plants and medicine are two sides of a coin" by her own limited knowledge. It was a huge red flag, still, I persevered hoping that I would find joy? or amus**ent? in reading this...

For the chapters I have read so far, it feels like it was made by a kid,... more>> no, rather some kids could already write better than this and has a better grasp of reality than the author. Maybe, it didn't have an editor or something along those lines. I would try to give this a chance until my patience runs dry then I will give my final opinion on this story.

Update after 4 more chapters of reading! I feel like my eyes and brain is being burned.

Final Opinion: It feels that it was written because the author enjoyed writing the story, but it was truly not thought through. Maybe it was purposely done to have none existent common sense for comedic purposes. Honestly, it was an agonizing reading for me. <<less

I just couldn't keep reading this.
I remember reading this back when only a few chapters where there (believe it was back when it was still single digits). However the worst part is when it goes from a 'Slice of life' into a sudo 'Ecchi/Animal-fetish' novel. Sure I can get behind being in love with someone, even if that love is based on physical traits (like being a beast-man), but when it turns into a cuddle and crude s*xual joke fest about dry humping everything with animal parts (ok... more>> maybe I stretched that last part a little), I start to draw the line.

This story starts out ok. You have a lovable MC with the standard repair and upgrade her quality of life from the distant noble girl, to the lovable doted on daughter/sister. It even gives you a few quirky parts like how she is ungodly adult compared to the adults. However it drops faster than a beach cliff. I tried to power through it, as many of my favorites have horrible parts (like Mushoku Tensei) however all I kept getting was more and more sudo hentai cuddling. The story has distorted itself so much that they wont even do the god damn teenage things during the teenage years. Not to mention the over protective family that fails to protect her from one random male, simply cause of.... well.... the cuddles.

In the end this story should have either decided to be what it was from the start or stayed with what I crafted at the start. at this rate these stories are just going to drive away fans, and anyone that would have been the fans would either luckily enjoy both type of stories, or not power through the beginning to even begin with. <<less

its just terrible, at very first few chapter, its actually good even if theres no plot but as soon as that her fetish to beastman appears, yeah thats where the bad things happen, im fine with her mofu mofu fetish but meh.

if she where focus only avoiding villainess these would be actually good, but no, she's just ranting about his beloved beastman and how good he smells and how she loves him. You can actually re-title this to "I love mofu mofu beastman" or something rather than she avoiding villainess.

I lovee it~. The MC is funny and absurdly op and for the time being she hasn't entered the REAL story with the heroine and etc. So I have high expectations. Still, sometimes it's difficult to know who is talking to who and a loot of things need to be explained, especially in the last chapters.

Well, letting that aside, I highly recommend it!
