This novel is one of the light heart stories. Even though it is a bit long, but it is funny. The FL is so funny and the ML is so calm. It is so fun to read though I really want FL to die faster sometimes just to start a new journey. (-_-) I lost count of the times she reincarnates but there are reasons behind each reincarnation. I love the lesson behind the story. It's good to question the flaw rather than follow the majority without doubts. This novel... more>> is also has a good ending so do not worry if you see the long chapters. I can say it would worth your time. <<less

A very long read for 2 weeks. I experienced fun and sadness. I really want to recommend this to fellow readers who loves to read profound genre like this. I stopped myself giving this review in midway for I don't want to discouraged others when this novel has a great potential in the beginning.

This is great but still not perfect. (Like there's any perfect in this world). I do understand the works for Realmspirit and Zhu Yao for the Three Realms and along the way made me feel stopped reading.... more>> There are other paths that they mighy have choose but will that really be helpful for the world Realmspirit trying to make?

I like to focus on the fact that Realmspirit who is the manager of the Three Realms wanted to save that world. And he really planned it out. He has set a standard for the new world he's guiding. So getting Zhu Yao (as recommended by her own plane manager), he tried to rehabilitate his own world, his own body.

So I may feel discomfort when Zhu Yao forced on her beliefs, I brushed them away and let the story unfolds. Once reading the ending, everything fell onto right places. Realmspirit let her because her beliefs is the change his plane (world) needed at that time. We don't know what the future holds for them. Maybe there will be a time that her beliefs and its changes brought might become "bugs" that can bring destruction. Or maybe not. <<less

It is a good read, very interesting in some of her "lives". You can be entertained up to her life as a "phoenix"

Con:

  • Jokes are reused often
  • She is forceful in her ideologies and I feel sometimes it is one sided pointers on her side to make the bad guys feel remorse
  • She is definitely to blame because she neglected
    Spoiler

    her older brother's reincarnation

    [collapse]
although she acted surprised when he turned out bad?
Pro:

  • some of the side characters are so lovable. Although it is a pity that some are never referred to again after she goes to her next life.
  • Definitely touching moments where I cried at major revelations.
  • All of her lives are tied together - there is a purpose. Although two arcs can be removed as fillers.

i can’t believe I finally managed to finish this novel.. although it’s been a long journey but I really enjoying this novel.

I really like the humor in this novel and the moral character of main lead. I’m just curious about some characters that are left behind. I really wish to know some of the side characters ending for example Sesame... I really curious if he really get his girl ?

this actually not a romance novel, I pick up this novel at first imaging romance and comedy novel but it’s actually... more>> a life lesson and moral lesson kinda novel but actually a very good novel. <<less

The novel is pretty interesting and funny! I love how the MC get reincarnated into so many different people/things/animals. Super cute romance too! There is character development and very cute moments! One thing I have to say is that the whole "BUG" thing is getting a little bit annoying.. even though its part of why the MC keeps getting reincarnated. I'm starting to lose interest because every arc is kind of like the same process, where the MC risk herself and gets weak, etc. There isn't a lot of romance....I... more>> was expecting a few romance scenes in each arc but its too lacking... overall it's very easy and fun to read. I highly suggest! <<less

My most favourite web novel so far. I am really glad I found this. Very refreshing, funny, and exciting. For me, this is the one light novel where I can really agree with the way of thinking and decisions of the main character. I strongly recommend this novel to those who are thinking whether to read this or not. Although any novel or any kind of book would naturally have readers who like it as well as who dislike it, ones who gave this novel poor ratings really surprises me.

Where should I start?

It's simple because it's so entertaining.

That's the truth. The comedy is great and the main character is one of the funniest I've ever read.

... more>> Her inner thoughts, her jokes, her way of acting, the events, basically every single thing around that s*upid disciple is just great.

But don't forget the male protagonist who with his cold character is also fun.

The two forms a perfect couple... Extremely sweet.

As for the development of the world is deep perhaps not at the level of other stories, but to be a comedy story I must admit that it is perfect... From the underworld to different worlds of which each has its own characteristics, from s*upid ghosts to a gluttonous phoenix.

Secondary people also have their own thing and make the story more interesting.

If you ask me if I recommend it? Yes. I definitely recommend it, the story is funny and in my case funny to the point that I could not stop laughing.

Anyway if you want to spend a moment of laughter and get away from those serious stories and even those typical clichés, this is the ideal story because even the clichés are fun... <<less

The comedy is good, the characters aren't annoying, the story finished without loophole and I like how the story make fun of the general OP characters; finish reading this with satisfaction. The only drawback is that the story needs to be longer because it's that good thus I'm unwilling it to be finished; at least some extra story with YuYan and Yu Yao children.

Love, loved, LOVED IT. I adore all the characters. Yu Yao (MC) is absolutely hilarious and is such a loveable character. She’s wise, kind, smart, and so, so real. However she’s nothing close to a Mary Sue. Her inner monologue never fails to crack me up. Master is super adorable too with his stoic yet adorably clueless personality. Yue Ying makes me want to baby him and spoil the poor dear. And thank f*cking god for psychology. I loved so many of the supporting cast, including little Radish, little tyrant,... more>> Zi Mo, and Ying Luo. I will definitely re read this series when I have the time. Do yourself a favour and read this refreshing series. <<less

I have to say, at first I didn't think I would like this but it was actually a good read! It has all the usual xianxia cliches, but with a slight twist since the story is really a parody on xianxia novels. Each of her reincarnations are typically trolls of some sort. What I didn't expect was that although she transmigrated, there were a lot of different elements involved that made it seem like she was in a game. Just a tips up to future readers :)

The main character... more>> is also really worthy of being a main character, throughout the story she would speak about morals and world views to those greedy evil characters - I found it really refreshing to read those parts. There were some moments where I would lose interest before a new arc, but I simply took a short break before picking it back up. Overall, it was an enjoyable read :) <<less

Other Xianxia novels such as Three Lives Three Worlds: Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and Pillow Book, and Heavy Sweetness Ash-like Frost, tend to revolve around the world of Gods and Goddesses. This xianxia novel focuses on the lives of human practitioners who cultivate over thousands of years to become deities. This is my first time reading a novel like this, and the translation quality is excellent, the chapters are very long, and the English translation is complete.

The female protagonist is a video game debugger who transmigrates into another plane... more>> of existence where people cultivate themselves in order to become immortals and ascend as deities. Might is right. As a modern woman placed in absurd situations, she perseveres admirably.

As the story evolves, the heroine is tasked with fixing potentially cataclysmic situations called "bugs". Each time she dies, she returns to life in a different body with all her memories intact. This causes some interesting scenarios with the people she used to know. Her clueless yet powerful teacher is so much fun to read.

Several videograme/novel tropes are tackled head on - from the Mary Sue, Gary Stu, weak tr*sh to OP lead trope, cheat codes - the heroine has to fix them all. There are demonic beasts, devils, formations, hand seals, ghost kings, god-races like dragons and phoenixes, teleportation, reincarnation, resurrection, godly artifacts, and floating mountains in the sky.

One thing I admire about this heroine is that she is still herself even after all her travels and lives. Her bottom line is life. She will not kill someone capriciously, and as she reminds other deities, she was once a human being too. Yet, she never sounds like she is preaching. She sounds like simple common sense. She has a comedic/practical outlook on life.

Spoiler

After several lifetimes in the lower realm, she eventually travels to the higher realm, the realm of the God-races, the underworld, other lower realms, etc. As she travels, she realizes there is someone behind all of her adventures, and because she is from outside of this plane of existence, only she can fix the assigned "bugs" because she is not bound by the Heavenly Dao here... She also realizes that the problem behind the bugs is the Heavenly Dao itself...

[collapse]

The heroine is also enjoyably humble, irreverent, and practical. There are many secrets behind her identity. The is not a romance light novel. The romance is very slow and not the main focus. Instead, her adventures in the different realms are the main plot. There is an overarching destiny, and soon the mystery behind her adventures is stronger than her romance.

From what I can tell, this novel is quite different from other OP Xianxia cultivation novels because it has a female protagonist,
Spoiler

she is not a killing machine (unless she really, really has to), and there is no harem (she doesn't sleep with multiple members of the opposite gender). She has one true love, and she treats everyone else decently - although she is wonderfully irreverent sometimes.

[collapse]

In such a fantastical novel, the only thing I found discordant was the fact that her 20+ years living in the modern realm stayed with her through her hundreds and thousands of years in the cultivation realms. Even after so many years, she still sounded and thought like a modern woman.

I do have 2 minor criticisms of the novel: First, because of the length of the novel, she has many different lives, and sometimes the plot lines are repetitive.
Spoiler

However, some of her closest people reincarnate with her throughout the realms, so they pop up unexpectedly, which ameliorates the repetition. Sometimes she reincarnates at the bottom of the ladder and has to re-cultivate her way back up, however, she usually does this quickly (because of her experience or bonus cheats) so that she can get on with the plot.

[collapse]
Secondly, there are some mild h*mophobia comments disguised as jokes, such as oh, you two, aren't gay, are you, harharhar.

This was my first cultivation xianxia novel, and I am not familiar with video game plot lines, but the story was easy to follow initially. As her lives started to overlap/intertwine, it got more confusing, but almost all her lives link in some way. I may need to read this twice to understand it all, because it is a very long novel (although it's only listed at 393 chapters, it feels much longer because of her several lives) and some secrets/mysteries are only solved at the end. I'd recommend this novel. <<less

The story is great. The female MC is an reincarnated individual that is very whimsical. The male MC is her master and he knows nothing about social interactions so there is a lot of misunderstandings between him and everyone else. She fights against other potential male "MCs" characters and their harem.
Spoiler

She often dies at the end of each arc and is reincarnated again in other bodies "baby, dragon, male, rock, etc."

It has romance tag, but I havent seen any so far. Even so, its a fun to read story, with lots of comedy. Its not forced and you can relate to the plights of Yao, our unlucky (?) female main character. Binge reading it is worth it!

It might feel a little slow at the start, but the over protective master that acts like a father with no common sense (at all), and his interactions with the main character, are super cute and funny and worth your time!

... more>> Edit:

It takes a bit, but there is romance, its nor rush and it feels just right! So far im having a blast with this story! The growth Yao goes through is some times painful, sometimes happy, others filled with rage... but all in all, she still tries to go foward with what she sets to do! <<less

Edited my first review because it's on chapter 99.

The MC repeatedly dies because she saves people &/or can't kill people. It's her bottom line, which is understandable considering she's from a modern and relatively peaceful world where killing is not allowed/bad/etc. All the arcs I've read are so funny and enjoyable so far so I come back again and again to read the translated chapters. Her master is really husband material which is very cute!

OMG I'm crying so much like now. My feeling is like 1%regret (about the death) 29%sadness (about the separate) 70%happiness (about the truth). In my head is like "OMG This is so damn good".

I regret so much that I read this in cafeteria, because if I read this in my room I would cry all out. I want to write review about this for a long time (since her first death) but it's really hard to describe how much I want to read this over and over again and I want animation or manhua out of this. After she died second or third time, I start to be happy when she died...

Spoiler

I mean she reincarnate in to dragon, no gender human, tree demoness, etc. and every time it funny as hell.

[collapse]

And for people that think that sub character has been thrown away and forgot.

That what the author want us to think!!!! not only the MC can reincarnate, everybody too. It's just they don't remember there past life except MC and some exception. Example, the girl that MC receive as her disciple. That disciple is the reincarnate of the girl in chapter I'm reading right now. OMG I'm crying again when I'm thought of how her wish have come true.

I enjoy every update I get for this novel. The comedy makes me laugh every time.
Spoiler

I love the randomness of the main character, and her reaction from getting trolled over and over. The cultivation world has a small, yet large presence in the novel. The main character definitely learns from her master, but the game elements remind me that her roots are modern, creating a lovely balance. However, my favorite thing about this novel is the character interactions and her new (and humorously challenging) expirences. I have high hopes for the future of this novel, but I also have to mention that I am extremely grateful to both the author for writing it, and the translator for giving us updates at a quick and stable pace. ?

This novel is a must read for fantasy lovers and comedy lovers. The jokes are all great, the translation is clear and relatable, and the story is actually very well written on top of that. I've actually straight up laughed at the comedy, which is rare for me.
