Me? I wake up to find myself transformed into two different bodies.

Both a male body and a female body, one conscience operating two bodies, all sorts of embarrassing moments.

Walking together normally makes other people think that I am sweethearts with my other-self, such sadness.

Also, the entire business of a hero rescuing the beautiful maiden, I call Bull.

I get slashed by a sword and my female body gets abducted, and he wants me to thank him?!?! Can it be less of a tragedy?

The potential for an amazing novel is sky high. The concept is unique and I outright fell in love with it. Reading the first few pages I immediately thought that this would be one of my favorites. I was excited of how it'll all go. But, disappointment.

The main character feels like he's disconnected. His curiosity is all over the place. Conveniently to where the author would point the story to. He seems like he is suicidal. I mean, does he not care about his own? He makes no effort to... more>> clear misunderstandings and just goes with the flow. Even outright insinuating and reinforcing that his other half, his own, is an evil person. Is this the character's true personality? Or is this just the author forcing his own ideas? Bending the character's decisions and situations for convenience. It's infuriating. Unless the main character is a deviant from the start, that is not how one should react to things. I am sad. The potential ruined by forced story telling.

It was but a short while. But I loved this. I could've loved it more. Now I'm just left heartbroken : ( <<less

I'm tired, so I'll keep it short.

Initial start : 5/5
A bit past the start : 4/5
Mid-way to the current chapter : 3/5 and still going down.

Potential : still a 5/5 but you'd have to be pretty hopeful for that at this point.

This series took an interesting and unique idea, and had the inkling of taking it in an exciting direction -- only to dash those hopes shortly after. Do not get me wrong, this series definitely isn't "bad" or "terrible", but it quickly became "generic" and "nothing we... more>> haven't seen before."

If I were to describe this series in a single line it would be thus: "A promising start that ended up falling flat soon after."

Edit having caught up : So, I said you'd have to be pretty hopeful for this series to come back. Well, it did. It very much so did. The main character is shaping up to be quite interesting (Tyre). His counterpart (Lunaria) still needs some work but overall still enjoyable. I am happy to say this is sitting at the low end of a 4/5 as of the current chapters. <<less

Amazing, I expected some third-rate chinese tr*sh novel but instead picked up a hidden gem. The story is full of beautiful, juicy misunderstandings, the author is able to utilize the different characters well, the world is vibrant and full of life and -most importantly- I find the different interactions genuinely funny. 5*!

This novel not only has an interesting premise, it also takes an ingenious spin on the transmigration aspect. At first thought, one would think Tyre is a transmigrated male who now has a female body. But in several jarring moments we find that, for one reason or another, he does not have the memories of a transmigrator. To him, having two bodies is all he has ever known. And while the male personality appears to be dominant, you can see that having two bodies to control is affecting his emotional... more>> quotient, turning him into a dunce.

I love the novel for its comedy and action, but there is also a story: currently, Tyre and Lunaria are looking for a way to recover their memories. And to spice it up, there is a good amount of foreshadowing of what his memories might bring about. For example, despite struggling now there are hints that

some of the top powers that be are also transmigrators, and recovering his memories might bring him to their level

.

Anyway, I recommend trying the novel out. The translators markedly improve after their first few chapters and fix their terminology. The story is fun, characters are not neglected, and everyone improves, not just the MCs. The hive conscious is made good use of and the author adds depth to many of the standard cliches, if you care to read into their behavior. <<less

This seems interesting, having two bodies is pretty novel idea alright, and I can already see how there’s going to be many different options for the author to create new types of scenarios (Kind of like how gender bender can automatically create these comedic scenes without even trying at times.) which I’m looking forward to find out how well the Author uses it.

However there’s a still a bit too few chapters for me to begin reading unless another reviewer heavily recommends it after at least decent critique.

Based on the... more>> idea alone I’d give this a 4 just to get going, because even if a novel isn’t great per se if they’re just different there’s still something to new to learn from them and I personally think experimentation should be encouraged.

Edit: In the end I just read it and god this is hilarious... Very promising. I'm going to change it to a 5 even though it's honestly a bit too premature to rate the novel this early. <<less

The story starts off a bit rough and a little forced, but the series is pretty good overall.

The core, recurring characters do have their own personalities, but some of the other characters do seem to just blend into one generic "side character".

As with most Chinese fantasy novels, the main character is both extremely lucky and naturally gifted. A good example is that he starts to figure out how to do "parallel processing" and becomes proficient in it within the first day. Also, he just happens to find an OP master... more>> who teaches him OP skills... which he masters in just a couple of days. (I know that he hasn't fully mastered them, but he is proficient enough to steamroll through almost everyone, so yeah).

As to the negative reviews, I'd like to address some of the issues that people had.

Spoiler
  1. The generic "kyaa" moment that gets him mistaken as a rapist. Keep in mind that the MC was practicing moving both bodies independently. The story has also had one body venting the emotions generated by what the other body is experiencing. So, the whole "kyaa" situation comes from the female body venting the emotions of panic from him not wanting to wet himself.
  2. The female half does nothing to correct the misunderstanding. Well, at first, there wasn't any need or opportunity to do so. By the time she event wakes up, the male half can't be found and he is busy training. By the time that the misunderstanding could become an issue, it is already too late to change things. Plus, the MC is afraid to upset things for the female half because he doesn't want er to be killed and he doesn't want to expose his "condition".
  3. The fight scenes suck. Well, they get a lot better later. The author just doesn't dwell on boring fights.
  4. The author doesn't explore the potential of having 2 bodies and starts to developer the 2 halves as separate individuals. Honestly, I don't want to read 20 chapters of the MC stunning his toes as he learns how to walk. Also, each half developing their own personality is a pretty good plot development, when you think about it. Even though it is one consciousness, the differing bodies and environments basically gave birth to 2 different people.
  5. The separate bodies is just as a convenient gimmick to move the story, but is forgotten most of the time. The bodies do act independently, but they are constantly sharing info, so I don't really see this point.
[collapse]

All in all, I'd say that you should give this story a shot. Just don't expect some big epic and keep in mind that it gets better as it goes. <<less

I was really enjoying it until part way through volume 2 and now I just skim, part of the reason includes how ridiculous Long Tu is, another is due to how in the hell the MC can't think of an excuse like them being twins and instead has to let everyone misunderstand him. Sh*t would be so much better if he got his group together and told the guys and girls along with his female self the truth without mentioning that they are the same person. Explain to Claude the... more>> Tyre was trying to help Lunaria back then, say they both woke up in the forest at the same time place with no memories, tell them Claude technically assaulted Tyre and kidnapped Lunaria. Addressing all those damn misunderstandings would be f*cking great instead of going along with them. <<less

4/5 Going to be lenient & hope things improve. Might as well give it a shot if you've got the free time.

Started off with a unique gimmick (MC starts off being split into a boy & girl body that shares the same mind/soul). Unfortunately author implements it quite poorly. Seriously, all the MC had to do is claim his male body was his brother/boyfriend and he'd have no problems. Really indecisive and dumb for a guy with supposedly godlike parallel processing powers.

Utilizes the generic "one half covers all the weaknesses... more>> of the other" cliche while both sides are currently on separate adventures. But oddly the MC lost all his memories prior to splitting into two bodies.
Spoiler

In this case the male half is a skilled sword/melee fighter while the female half is skilled in almost all magic except "space" magic (presumably they'll link up to fight together later and the dude half will cover that weakness).

I love it!

It is fun story that build on misunderstandings. It is a interesting plot that haven't been seen before, at least in my case. If you like gender bender, then this takes it to the next level.

Update;
Further read it and decided to downrate it to 4/5. The fact that the MC (female version) let the characters think that the mae version MC tried to r*pe her is weird. I mean I know that this lie is needed in order to further the plot but still...

To be honest, this is a guilty pleasure of mine.

There is so much that could be improved with this novel but it feels like this is not something that you should think all that logically about. The novel is good for some reason with a game breaking concept that you can't find anywhere else. The characters are enjoyable and they've got a clear objective for the main character.

state that the MC thinks that they're a boy since it would've added more mystique to the main characters origins, but who knows, maybe they change things up in the future. I also think that the MC should have been bis*xual due to the same reasons as stated before, and it would also add a little spice to the story and not make us feel that it's morally wrong for the MC to visit the women's bathroom. But I can accept this tho since it's China and their morals can be pretty out of date

The author had a fairly, I mean really interesting idea of a story with a protagonist that possess two bodies but one soul. It had incredible potential but was crushed immediately at the start. The main idea became irrelevant as the protagonist female and male body separated at the start and almost never meet each other again. It is better to just make two distinctive characters instead, like a guy and his female friend. Something like, "One day me and my childhood friend woke up in a different world and... more>> we became separated because someone thought I mol*sted her..." and it'll make more sense.

Long story short, great idea but really, really, really terrible execution.

I lament the death of this idea with massive potential.

Oh but if you cut out the two bodies part, the story is decent enough I guess. <<less

Author is really good at being suttle. They have been able to hide the Main storyline plot from what seems like 90% of previous reviewers. Both Characters split right of in the begining of the story. So, you don't really grasp the Genetic twins ability to do things exactly the same flawlessly yet. However, the chapters has always had the ability to make you laugh and get a sence of how unique each body is supposed to be. The author is going the tedious route of introducing the lower class... more>> and higher classes of society, to show different viewpoints. Over all, I suggest this series to all readers as it has an easy ability to gather your attention. <<less

This is a overall mediocre story. The description and the thought of the storyline is a wonderful idea but it is not progressing correctly.

The story loses sight right away. This is supposed to be a story about a guy (Single Conscience), who inherently discovers that another body is strapped to his conscience. ~Skipping Spoilers~ After he wakes up on his female side she immediately develops a conscience of her own. Even though there is only the guy controlling both bodies the story is ruined because it acts upon separately. ~Now... more>> Queue the Spoilers~
Spoiler

If I was a guy, who had a female side who was abducted due to some crackheads wandering through the forest boppin' field mice on the head, I would want to f*cking kill the people doing so and make them completely embarrassed and resent themselves for assuming a situation. Later on we're only getting single views of each side of the story, almost like two completely different stories occurring in one light novel, creating hard to follow timelines. The writer loses sight of the fact that it is one conscience, so being able to telepathically think of ways to get out of a situation stops. Further in the novels the male got a s*ave to enter the magic tournament to rescue his other half but it seems like the other half doesn't want to be rescued, (Which f*cking outright confuses me because there's only one person, unless this character has multiple split personality disorder.) If you were hanging on the edge of the cliff and begging for dear life you wouldn't go, 'Oh, I don't want to go back to my old life.' and f*cking let go. If you buy a 2x chocolate bar you're not going to take the other half and chuck it out your apartment window, you're still going to eat that sh*t and feel guilty about it later.

[collapse]

I'm just venting all of my anger and hatred into this novel. It loses sight of itself, it lost it's mojo.

The description says 1 person is controlling both bodies, so it should remain like that. They should change the description to, (Read this with one of those old action movie trailer voices) "Two adventurers, two naturally born geniuses fight their way to make ends meet and discover each other upon this peculiar and bizarre journey. Coming This Fall!"

The story was good for like the first two chapters and I lost interest for 66 chapters. I continued reading because I thought it would get better but it didn't.

Anywho, if you're looking for a reincarnation op character light novel with either a female or male MC, this is the light novel for you. If you're looking for light novel were the MC has multiple bodies, this is not the light novel for you.

1 star for description: Check

0 stars for staying on topic to description: Check

2 stars for being a 'Meh' sotry: Check

If I'm being honest, this is a garbage as story that deserves 1 star, it doesn't even follow it's own plot anymore so how do you call it a story, it's like the chapter up until the abduction was the main story and the rest is just all OP's.

I rated 3 stars because I'll continue reading it. That's if they update it. <<less

The whole two bodies, one mind gimmick lasts for about 5 chapters. Then it turns into generic male protagonist and generic reverse haram protagonist with two separate plots have a telepathic connection. The plots are almost completely separate for about 40 chapters before slowly converging until they finally in the same place around chapter 60 and talk to each other around chapter 100. It fluctuates a lot. At times they seem like same person but at others they aren’t even on the same page. They are two separate people

The plot... more>> itself is not bad but it does get cliche and generic at times but it gets good at times. It’s not really my cup of tea and I mostly read it in hopes that the gimmick will be redeemed but it never really happens. The characters are ok and some of the plot points were interesting. Read this for the plot and world, not the gimmick the description is advertising.

More ranting about the gimmick:

I think the biggest problem with gimmick is that the two separates way too quickly. There is no real establishment of the two as the same person apart from the first 5 chapters. There is so much to work with: male in female body, trying to establish their own quirks, unconscious quirks, and most of all, how other people would perceive these two people acting the exact same at times. There are so much comedic potential for such a scenario. It can also be very creepy seeing two people acting exactly the same or even close to the same. People might like one, hate the other, or just love/hate both. Sometimes it almost seemed like it would explores but never went anywhere.

It’s very similar to the anime Ranma 1/2. That show’s gimmick is almost the same except for it’s a gender switching body instead of two bodies. The male character switching genders does almost nothing to his personality and a lot of the comedy and plot derives from how other characters act towards the main character. It never meets the same problems this novel does because he can’t be separated from his female side, but the separation could lead to some interesting scenarios.

This gimmick can be down but it ultimately was only used as a hook line for the very beginning before completely falling through. <<less

It is certainly an interesting concept, the problem is the author couldn't be interesting in writing in anything else that is interesting. Basically every conflict boils down to the MC constantly digging himself deeper in some ridiculous scenario that defies logic.

The premise of the novel its self is a rather unique one. I'm not entirely sure however it carried out that premise with good execution. Rather what makes the premise unique is the duel body part of it other wise we have already seen gods, demi-gods, an the mystical qi/battle force/chi and magic powers play out in other novels.

Story structure wise however I would say this is a decent/average story. there are parts however that are in the story an you could take them out completely an get rid of... more>> a few paragraphs worth of reading an it would have no effect on the story line.

For example the whole emotional and sensation sharing between the bodies. one body is bathing with a naked girl an the other is trying to learn from a god which causes both bodies to feel the sensation of arousal played out in the ordinary nose bleeds and flushed faces. you could take out almost everything from that section of the story an it would have zero effect on the remainder of the story. an that wont be the last time that happens either; for example during the tournament tyre the male body does some... gymnastics lets just say while the female body is taking a bath with more naked girls. so there are parts which are kinda pointless to the actual story as a whole that frankly should not be there because while it does serve as comedic relief there is nothing to be relieved of. its not a grim dark tale that needs the occasional injection of comedy.

There is apart of the story that wants you to believe it is grim but the grimness of it has yet to actually play out. for example there is a scene which kinda implies the duke is willing to do anything to keep lunaria (the female body) as essentially the family s*x pet as in a meeting he refers to her as a piece of meat to rear children. including brain washing with a love potion. an you would think the ominous warning the crab god gives tyre would play out like the duke is gonna do something. an NOTHING actually does happen aside from "hey claude you should go out with her you know; you can ignore your actually finance (the princess of the empire mind you). come on I know and seen how you look at her!"

The grimness the story wants you to believe it has might come out in later chapters but so far nothing of the sort but even with this flaw and lack of exploration if you will it is still a decent story in of its self and worth reading.

Now back to the premise of the novel.

Credit where credit is due at the very least it touches upon the subject of psyche and changes to the psyche in regards to having a different body but than again perhaps the gender bender stories ive seen just s**ked because the ones ive read almost never touch that subject at all.

That said inspite of touching the subject (with a finger nail) it just solves the issue with a s*xual arousal test within the first 1-5 chapters. an its passed off as sense he did not get wet or feel a sensation when focusing his attention on his male body using only his female body but got hard doing the reverse that his male side is dominant and that somehow makes his male body the original body.

Do you see why I am saying I'm not sure it had good execution on its premise yet?

Another were credit is due thing however is at least it acknowledges the thought over load two minds have on a single conscious an the MC or rather MCs have to do a bit of practice to get use to everything.

That said however men and women are different biologically. an these biological differences do play out in psychological differences and behavioral differences. gender is a "spectrum" when it comes to behavioral/personality and psychological differences. there are traits that are more expressed in women than men and vice versa. for example men are more likely to act out violently when they get pissed off women however tend to be a bit more manipulative and back stabby especially if they hate the person for whatever reason.

There is no exploration of having none genetically identical minds which is something I would have liked to see because they are not identical minds/brains there should be two different internal thought processes going on with the MC thoughts.

Yet again however is played off as male mind is dominant an "maybe there is some residual influence from the female mind.. maybe".

All due to the s*xual arousal test he did within the 1-5 chapters. which is another thing since the minds are not identical he should've been aroused by the sight of his male body when he purely focused it through his female side if you will. no matter how small or big DNA does influence these things an the majority of the population is straight. that's just a fact; its like saying Japanese and Chinese people are the majority in japan and china, or that Koreans are racist (there is a reason why the racist Korean sterotype exist... most sterotypes exist because there is truth to them on some level) and islamist are Islamic supremacist.

Anyways there is no real exploration to having basically two different unidentical minds. just because they share a conscious does not mean the minds/brains themselves are identical. even with a dominate mind there should be some sort of influence from the other mind. for example humans we all have multiple personalities we just keep our personalities from clashing with each other unlike those with personality disorders. for example you don't treat your friends as if they are family do you? nor would you treat your co workers the same as your family. you do however have a dominant personality. it is the personality which expresses its self the most but at the same time you don't entirely act upon that dominant personality 100% of the time. for example you could be a fairly out going person an be shy around new people like most humans are. these behaviors to an extent contradict each other an that is because you don't nessicarly act upon the out going persona 100% of the time.

You could be a kind altruistic person but I highly doubt you go out of your way to look for the homeless and starving to give them money and food because you don't act out on that persona 100% of the time. an that is not entirely a bad thing.

Because one persona or side is more dominant than the other does not mean that other personas/sides don't influence you. <<less

The premise was interesting but as mentioned by others somehow the MC does not bother resolving a quite serious misunderstanding. Up to what I read I felt the potential of the two bodies one mind wasn't fully used. I would rate it a 1 for that but feel it's too harsh as I can see some points that will interest others.
