Honestly I would want to give a reading a little less than 3. I came into this novel thinking it would be major romance, but that wasn't the case. To me there are 3 main themes in the novel (in order) : eSports, Chinese nationalism, and lastly bit of romance. The esport part was def the most heavy theme throughout. There were a lot of gaming moment that I can't really relate to, and I imagine many ppl will feel the same if they have never seen or touch league... more>> before. The romance and interaction didn't really stand out for me as well, and felt quite surface level. I personally thought they got together pretty quick but I guess the ML did provide an adequate explanation.

If you want an easy to understand esport romance than I would recommend 'those sweet times' (complete) which have better leads chemistry and not too heavy eSports moment. <<less

Amazing amazing I loved it, I first watched the drama and fell in love and then decided to read the novel def don’t regret it much more in dept then the drama and very fine details that dram missed, overall a great story am I love, lu sicheng and tong yao forever 😘

Even though I greatly enjoyed the book, I do feel and it being a series it could've at least kept closer to the story line than it already was. Loved the story and the details. Plus I like how they defined and developed individual supporting characters and various other teams. I would like to point that it definitely won't be this easy for the first female player but as this is more light story line, I can accept that they left out over malicious partners. The ending felt a bit rushed but the over all reading experience was fun.

I feel the story is dragging too much with no real substance being put into the plot. I have been lightly skimming through the past 20 chapters hoping that I'll rekindle interest in the novel but unfortunately not. I also read the other reviews about the author and that just killed this novel for me so I'm dropping this novel.

This story is so entertaining! I’m loving the FL and the ML they’re so funny. At times I couldn’t control myself and just burst out laughing.

I especially like the FL she’s so funny and quirky.
