It was a life without regret. My parents were in good health, and I wasn’t home enough for me to combine my studies and part-time jobs.

I like fantasy, martial arts, games, fiction movies, cartoons… I’m a normal high school student who likes these things.

That was certainly true until ten years ago.

This is not the earth.

A fantasy world dominated by powerful people. Savage utopia. It is a world where you can take anything with you if you have physical strength.

Christ, this guy is a straight up villain and as*hole not an antihero. An antihero is still a hero they will just go to any length to complete their goal. But this is a guy who thinks he understands everything and is just a complete ass. Then he goes and practically repeats what he did before but “better” no character development at all. The writing is good though so it gets 2 stars instead of 1.

I don't know what is it about this novel, but every time I start to think it's getting boring and repetitive, the author just somehow tweaks the formula a tiny bit, making it incredibly interesting again. Though I probably would've gotten bored quickly if I didn't binge-read it

The story is tr*sh like the title suggests. The MC is neither a hero nor an antihero, he's just a villain forced to work for the good of the world, but at a certain point you'd have to wonder whether he's causing more pain and suffering than the demon king who just sits on his throne.

Most characters are just annoying, especially the MC, and there's really nothing new here. Even if you're into the torture revenge thing there are far better reads.

is one of the most fun I've ever read, certainly my favorite these days. It doesn't make me sick of the plot at least. He's that typical player who says "it's in the game, it's for use" completely smashes everything using everything within reach. The world always gives a way to surprise. Despite the slow pace of translation due to being a Korean novel and, it has to have funding to be translated. Is my favorite.

This is a normal edge/action wish-fulfillment Knovel. Selfishness triumphs over Comradery. There aren't any consequences for the MC's actions, and every side character is pretty irrelevant. The MC will never once"lose".

However, you do follow a strong, determined psychopath wreck some s*upid NPCs in a cozy fantasy world.

Cool story.
Plus: - a new and interesting story, I haven’t read novel like this for a long time
- MC based only on logic, and I like it
- humor, it's really fresh and funny
- there is no moral stuff, and it should be, because this is a "fantasy world" lol
- after reading I realized that in fact in all other fantasy novels the heroes were idiots
- good translation
Minus: - need more translated chapters
- more translated chapters I said !!!

In this novel, the MC is an unrepentant low-dogmatic genociding psychopath hero who views mass mu*der and other violent atrocities as final solutions to whatever problems and issues he has in Fantasia, a fantasy world that he hates more than the Demon King. Yet, the author skillfully makes this novel primarily a slapstick comedy even when the OP MC slaughters the Demon King (repeatedly), the elves, humans, demons and probably mermaids too. Of course, his companions are not spared the Holy Sword too, except for one...

Lanuvel, a.k.a. Fantasy God.

The storyline is trite though, therefore you will only read this novel for the MC's character strength and also the comedy. A ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me as of the 40th chapter. <<less

For an anti-hero protagonist to be good, he needs to be sympathetic. In this MC's case, he tells you but never shows you that everyone was terrible to him. We start with him killing his companions with no qualms whatsoever, then we see him do worse and worse things. Even if his companions were bad to him, there's a really good chance he was a jerk to them first. He lies to everyone and constantly complains.

If I were being objective I'd rate it a 3/5 (setting's interesting, story's kind of... more>> all over the place but okay, characters are unlikeable but well-written enough) but I have a soft spot for unrepentant a**holes and want to see how it ends, so I'll give it another star. <<less

It may not have a smooth writing style, nor a unique genre but it has an interesting and unique play on its plotline with a wise and stay true protagonist, whose only fault lies in his pragmatism and hard headedness.

That said, it is a very interesting story that is very much worth the read.

It's ok. Its hard to follow the guys motivation. It feels too childish. Its worth reading for a different perspective but I think for now ill drop it. The translations is great btw. 3/5

  • After giving it some time, ive come to like the story a bit more and get the angle the author is trying to give us. MC is Chaotic neutral and in it for himself. He is currently going through multiple play throughs in the same fantasy setting trying to graduate with passing scores. It is unique how he goes through each play through trying to act in the correct way to beat the boss. 4/5
  • if you asked him, 'There are 7 chairs and 10 kids, what would you do?" instead of saying something like get 3 more chairs the MC would say"Kill 3 Kids".
  • Story repeats a few times till the MC' graduates but the powers that be move him to another world vs other hero's wherein he continues his corrupt methods.

This is a good novel, you can't stop reading this novel until chapter 8 which leave a bad taste in my mouth. I knew the MC is a tr*sh from the first chapter. No, not the tr*sh weakling, despised, scorned by people, but tr*sh personality, and tr*shy in his actions and words. But his action in chapter 8 makes me stupified.

Too bad for him, I think he will need to redo the demon king subjugation for the second time (second chance) or more? Until his tr*shy personality gone and become... more>> a proper hero.

Yeah you dig? The god turn him back to the past where he find himself in the summoning room before the king even though he succeed in killing the demon king. Why though? Because he fail to act as hero. Yeah his power is S, able to kill demon king easily, but his character score is F, so he fail the hero test by the god and his staffs. I kid u not, the whole summoned to different world thing is maybe the god and his staffs events to educate troubled and not right in the head kids and showed them the way to righteousness. <<less

Oh wow I loved this novel, in the first chapters I thought it was another isekai of a hero against the Demon King with the twist of the regressions, but... oh boy, how wrong I was hahahaha. As soon as the chapter of the evil dragon happened in the second iteration of the MC, the whole plot turned into a hot mess. I just love the kind of novels where I just can't predict what will happen next and this is one of them. Also, it's been a long time... more>> since I laughed so hard when reading a story.

Of course it has its bad points such as the harem, the MC using concepts about hormones and biochemical cycles as a power-up as if he were a PhD in physiology when in reality he only says basic concepts, and the small plot-hole when mentioning several times how his body has already become “particles/energy” to return to the topic of biology of the human body 2 chapters later. There are also ecchi scenes that are too unnecessary, a little degrading towards women and have little importance in the plot.

But F*CK IT, I loved it in general, a complete chaos of a novel in which one comes to question the sanity of the MC and whether the third-person narrator is untrustworthy with what they describe or no. Praise Mollán! <<less

Like many 'isekai' novels, this one punches you in the face at the start only to become a slow burn throughout. I would describe this as convoluted revenge p*rn, with convoluted primarily being the 'system' and its somewhat random yet coincidentally bullsh*t mechanic of f*cking people over, or making them ridiculously overpowered. If you are looking for consistency, this novel doesn't do well in that department, but it doesn't need to.

The MC is undoubtedly a cynical edge lord, his over-the-top actions and the sometimes wacky results it creates make me... more>> laugh at times, annoyed at others, but primarily detached from the world altogether. That goal is to make you feel as detached from what's happening in the world as he is. Don't get me wrong, MC is a piece of sh*t but he makes me feel like I'm in a toxic relationship that I can't let go from.

Why the three-star though? Well at the end of the day, the story is just revenge p*rn. That is it. The story had many outstanding story segments that were inevitably thrown away due to the MC's rampages and moments that I would initially think that MC would grow, only to be woefully disappointed. It lacks substance, with the trope of killing for the sake of killing, or grandiose actions with no sense and purpose becoming lacklustre as the story tries to peak its bullsh*t meter through the progression of the story. It gives itself minimal breathing room for development and is a dopamine rush on and on and on.

I still recommend reading this novel, entertaining with funny moments in it. Give it a try. <<less

I forgot to review this.

Yeah, it's great. I'm currently using MTL on a Russian site cause chapters take long to update on this website but it's definitely great.

I liked this novel from the start cause of all that off-putting stuff the MC does but you later on realize that the MC is actually extremely logical and even the people that kidnapped understood what he went through and didn't factor in that he wouldn't give up. He actually shows more love than anybody and he only simply has to recognize people... more>> and accept them first, obviously he wouldn't do that with people that regress and forget him later on though.

It's extremely interesting and the entire read is just an adventure which is ironic cause...... lanuvel 😂 <<less

The story revolves around a "force of nature" hero- a hero whose nature is meant to be evil. There is no need for logic, but if you want some, he is the same as the joker; Evil for no f*cking reason, cos its a force of nature.

It does get boring after a while, but he does fulfill what is needed: a constant goal, needing to kill everything, and some jokes sprinkled round. Overall story is not too overwhelming, unlike some other chinese manhwas.

Good saatire, but if you think the novel... more>> is bad I suggest picking up the manhwa, everything there is better <<less

Spoiler

after he returned to Earth he literally blew up the ocean fighting this "prince" guy and then he meets some dude who's determined to slay the demon king and they fight. I think they ended up both dying or the MC survived, but it literally does not matter since he ONCE AGAIN gets transported into the fantasy world, except this time as a newborn.

[collapse]

Overall, the plot is just getting repetitive and boring. Hopefully, the comic makes things more entertaining or something. :/ <<less

It started out good, but just got progressively worse and worse to the point where the MC has become the most unlikable character in the novel.

All the nuance from the early arcs pretty much go out the window and the MC never learns or reflects yet everything still goes his way.

I really like this, it's different from other stories, I read the manga of this story, MC was very naive and weak when he was summoned, people used him and made fun of him, his teammate used him as a s*ave, he was oppressed by his own teammates so he killed them before killing the demon king which made his all past achievements and good deeds not counted so the God made him redo the world and our anti hero is born, he is very humorous and evil now, and... more>> I love this book. <<less

Reading this novel is a lot like watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia". It's cathartic watching the MC messing with other people because the other people's archetype are all those annoying cliches that gamers and manga fans are saddled with over the years. However, with those people around, you realize that the MC is extremely unpleasant individual as well. Watching he getting tr*shed or screwed over is just as much fun because how unlikeable he is.
