The 3rd (Or 2nd if you don't count the Prologue) chapter came out on November 17, And I finally got around to going back and rereading the story and reading the 3rd chapter.

I like this story a fair amount. Just the setting is so interesting to me and a certain type of charm to it. I find it interesting that the little girl was massively burned and mutilated in the sense that she is now all healed. She went through all that stuff and was on the verge of... more>> death. I think there is potential for this to be interesting such as a PTSD of sorts or nightmares of the pain that she felt.

From what little we've seen of the Main adult character. She seems interesting and I like the way it's portraying the emotionally-void person. Normally stories would portray characters that don't have emotions in kind of an eh way and will just have the person be a complete idiot to social cues or a straight-up mu*derer. I like that this MC is emotionally-void but we do see hints of her showing some emotions such as her little chuckle as the kid MC calling her a goddess.

The chapters are nice and long with a really good translation. I feel like the translator is able to portray the story how the author originally meant it to and it wasn't lost in translation. The only issue with these long chapters is that they take a while to come out.

Overall I think this is an awesome story and I hope it starts gaining more traction soon. <<less

I went into the novel knowing relatively little about it based on the summary and the tags, but it did sound exciting and it was yuri, so I had to check it out. But I decided to drop the novel. The Good: Some of the stuff I really liked about the novel was the translator's efforts, it felt smooth and natural to read. The novel has a really strong start too, which I liked. The aspects of the main characters was very likeable, with Byakuren's (the older of the pair)... more>> personality and backstory, and her wish to be less cold and that she wants to learn how to be warmer. Alfra (the younger of the pair) was very interesting as well, with such a brutal introduction and she was very adorable with her puppy-like attitude.

The Bad: It didn't hold my attention. The slow-burn can often be either very good or very bad, and in this case it's very bad, it didn't manage to hold my attention long before I would check out other websites and then remember I was supposed to read this novel. There was also the issue about the novel keeping repeating the details of the appearances/how the characters look over and over again, but that was just a simple annoyance.

The Ugly: Alfra at this point I dropped the novel (ch6) is eleven years old, so why is there a scene where an eleven years-old feels sad because her chest is flat. It doesn't make sense. Why was there such a long scene about Alfra thinking about panties and trying on panties. It felt so ridiculous, creepy and extremely uncomfortable to the point I dropped the novel. The novel tried to make a slow-burn, maybe tragic, romance that has the women grow and learn, but the scenes where an eleven years-old girl feels sad because her chest is flat and a super long scene about panties pretty much ruined it. <<less

I don’t know why I didn’t read this sooner, the characters are really flushed out and even side-character feel important to the overall narrative. It’s definitely a slow-burn but it’s so worth it. I like the main couples chemistry and their own broad personality which actually feel like real people who aren’t just a “self-projecting” type characters. The author clearly loves the world building aspects and is slowly revealing more and more of lore as time goes on, I’m honestly invested. Can’t wait for more updates.
