Kamishiro Kanna was summoned to another world to be a hero, but the one who summoned him was a scheming princess, and when his mana measurement showed 0, he was to be gotten rid of. Together with an half-elf kyonyuu silver haired bishoujo he met in the palace’s prison, they escaped on a dragon she summoned.

The thing Kanna didn’t know was that 3 days after his escape from the palace, the princess did another summoning and summoned 3 high school students who happened to be his close friends.

Spoiler

This is not a masterpiece, but by the standards of this website it is, you have an MC that is just enough op while still weaker than enemies (up to latest chapter he's at best high B adventurer and the weakeast from enemy organization is A adventurer) so the fights never feel pointless since if he makes a false step he is going to die

you have a deeper plot than many novels here, which involves many characters, going back to the very start so a story not just a day by day diary of slice of life (like most isekai novels here) and a harem of limited number (3 up to here and at most 4 according to author) with different personalities and relevance to the story, and they don't just meet and fall in love (thank god) they go along, interact (interactions are some of the best in novels hilarious while also emotional if need be) and are not a heavy weight for the MC to pull, they contribute to the story and to the character developement overall

and the best part of the novel for me is the MC (how often can you say that) , he is not a dense Japanese high schooler, he was with an ikeman since childhood so before he was summoned, he had to be smart and observant of of his surrounding and since his friend is like kouki (without the annoying part though he might turn enemy later on but not by his own will) , kanna is the kind of person that when faced by enemy:

--- well it seems like you'll be getting in my wa...

----boom

---- I was still talk...

----boom

why would I listen to you when I can gain an advantage in the fight, that's the thought process of the MC, he has an indomitable will, he will never give up and use anything to win wich is why I like him a lot,
that's the kind of MC he is, he is calculating enough and prepares beforehand (and still gets surprised at times so that's a+ for me), he is aware of surrounding both physically and emotionally so no dense romance, he is aware of the feelings around him and tries to understand even his own emotions, so the romance proceeds along with the story at a decent pace,

as for negatives and why it's not a masterpiece is pretty obvious, the world is convenient at times, the mc's power is op and he has super awareness since he has no magic,

he is way too sensitive to it and that makes his reaction to attacks fast, and while kanna is smart he isn't some strategist he is more like the one that prepares beforhand but wont be making 1000 plan, though he does prepare 5 plans xd, and he reacts fast to situations so he is reliable and smart, just dont excpect ultra IQ, (though he is way smarter than many MCs on here)

the harem while I like it a lot and is well constructed, is -let's be honest- a trait of wish fulfillment, but so what, by the standard of most novels in this website this is one of the best, and it's made me binge read again which no novel has done in sometime (they become boring super fast) its a 4.5 at best but I'm giving it 5 for entertainement value and for the standard ratings of novelupdates this is even more than 5, and I hope the author continues to update webnovel fast, or the light novel gets updated fast and translated to English

Okay, notice me senpai~!

Pro ?

MC - Is not your average JP protagonist. ✔️ - He has some good points and bad points.

Harem - Be grateful for those harem team! Yep, the tag is real (They have physical relationship) Rejoice! Plot - So so. The only down side is. It has the worst start. Seriously, because of the lack of details.

Con ?

Contradiction ❌ - Yep contradict-kun Is here. Romance ❌ - For me It doesn't deserve the genre. They should've put Romantic subplot instead.

There Is no Drama "Genre" so expect those characters, were like they are playing the script on stage, That Is so bland that It wouldn't reach kokoro-kun.

World building ❌ - Like I said It has lack of details, But the story Is good It Is all about conspiracy. Forgotten "History" but still the Important points were left behind or forgotten which is frustrating.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Note ?

Idk but I think the novel sinks down. It hasn't been updated for quite awhile now. To be exact four months. Reason behind It, Is probably this.

Spoiler

The Main Heroine route wasn't think carefully, the author forced his genius arc which Is leading losing alot of his readers.

How Is It? If you have read arifureta, The same phenomenon happened to the fMC. Well almost the same cuz she was brainwash with unique skill of the Antagonist, Which leading the fMC force marriage for a duchebag prince. Well what would you expect of course alot of them would cry and flame him. But In the end the MC save the fMC, Risking his life, almost got killed by fMC. In the end he won.

I was hoping for a touching finale, but guess what? The author Is a novice when It comes to that stuff, which leading It to a bland finale.

The world is interesting. The MC is lazy and not ambitious in the slightest. The ever pe*vert thing is tedious, although at least he isn't a turbo-virg*n, but the most tedious of all is the prolific use of the misunderstanding trope to push half the plot. People just won't communicate, even when it is in their best interest and there is no reason for it but to push irrational plots forward for the author. [Sigh]. That and the translation or the author's wording is difficult to understand. I can only... more>> comprehend maybe 3 out of 5 sentences. The rest are a confusing mess.

I'm particularly annoyed by the MC continuing to call a noble girl a friend when she nearly got him killed three times and in the last incident left him to get executed as a kidnapper as thanks for rescuing her to protect her precious reputation. Apparently that is all just fine because the MC wants to stick it in her real bad. [Sigh again] Apparently no level of humiliation or grief is the limit if a Japanese MC wants to bone someone. My three stars is being quite kind. <<less

I enjoyed this series to a surprising degree. It takes a lot from the usual Isekai formula but also changes some things in a refreshing way.

What I like:

    • The MC has a 'cheat' ability but is still not that strong for most of the story and has to rely on his wits and allies to overcome tough opponents.
    • Kanna's personality is refreshingly... normal. Unlike the usual Isekai MC who was some kind of social outcast, he has friends and family and a life back in Japan that he enjoyed and wants to return to. He also has a healthy libido and enjoys s*x when he's approached by beautiful girls. He also has this funny no-nonsense attitude towards the people around him.
    • Kanna's goals are also realistic and grounded for a person in his situation. He doesn't care about going on adventures, saving the world or getting wealth and political power for himself although he gets opportunities to do these things. His main goal is to find a way to return to Japan. He only becomes an adventurer to earn money and for leisure, like hunting magic beasts to try to their meat. He specifically avoids serious romantic relationships and job offers from Knights Orders, lands and noble titles etc. because he's not planning to stay in this world for long.
    • Kanna's relationship with the supporting cast develops in a great way. He does have a 'harem' but the harem doesn't travel with him and their lives do not revolve around him. They all have their own circumstances, sometimes their paths cross with Kanna's and at other times they're off doing their own thing. The romance also develops in a realistic manner and the conflicts it causes (eg. Kanna's plan to return to Earth vs. his growing feelings for the girls in this world) are also handled well.
The bad:

    • I cannot bring myself to care about the main plot and the grand plan regarding Kanna's role in this world at all. The author does a poor job of developing the story and lore and Kanna also never makes any real progress in finding out why he got summoned or how to return to Japan.
    • Also the parts involving Kanna's friends, who got summoned to this world after him, are tedious and it's irritating how even after hundreds of chapters they still haven't met or even heard of one another.
    • Kanna's appearance, parts of his personality and his nickname of 'Shiroyasha' are clearly copied from Sakata Gintoki in Gintama.
    • Also some parts of Kanna's past sound Mary Sue-ish and out of place, like him taking out a biker gang and being scouted by the Yakuza.
It's a pity this series is so unknown, because of it the light novel adaptation got cancelled and the author's put it on indefinite hiatus.

Quite good. The MC has an uncommon power, and is not really op from the start. The other characters seem interesting. However, personally I'm going to drop this since I dislike his "hero" mentality.

Yo! This WN is insanely enjoyable! The MC is not a half-assed idiot that will reluctantly go and risk their lives when requested, he is not an overpowered char like the other isekai's that i've read and that's why I say it's enjoyable. The other characters are also suprisingly funny sometimes when needed. I just hope the future chapters will be more as enjoyable like the recent chapters. =)

Overall story is good. There is some standard plot and some plot armor.

MC is quite unique - he really feels smart and brave. He doesn't afraid to go against nobles, and he always thinks about new ways how to use his spirit arts.

Problem here - MC is in NEW world but his behavior doesn't show this. These coward Jap chars who are afraid of everything are more believable than smart guy who is not afraid of anything.

Interesting story, decent pace not too slow not too fast. The protagonist has "uncommon power" but his power is not too strong which make him not too overpowered and make the story more interesting as watching him grow. Moreover the MC is not an idiot dense mainstream isekai MC and can choose a good decision according to the situation, but the character development for other than the main protagonist aren't too deep yet.

In general it's a promising light novel if I can say so, since there're still few chapters that... more>> has been translated here.

If someone asked me is it recommended, I'll say it is! <<less

Pretty refreshing read, the MC and side charas are all pretty capable and the story, albeit a bit slow, moves along like many other isekais but there's a good balance since MC is not broken op nor an incompetent fool.

Too bad translations were dropped as of now.

I hope someone picks this up again.

The story is good and I was frustrated when I found out that the translation stopped at c101.

Good pacing, no super OP MC (he's still growing and thats one of the best point). MCs also not a p**sy.

Its good so far, comedy/harem but more adult than all these childish japanese isekais so I have enjoyed it. Hopefully translations get put out more so that more people will be drawn to this story. So far translation quality has been solid.

Remember how awesome the start of Legend was? Guess what! This is even better! The cliche start where the MC is hated or left out from the group is not present her! The side-character girls, that are summoned, arent gullible idiots! The side-characters are actually reflecting over the situation!

For now I rate this a solid 10/10! The start is usually the best, but I have high hopes for this one!

It's an enjoyable read, only there are some annoying cliches that pop up at almost every important moment.

Temporary intelligence/memory loss. I don't mind the protagonist and his friends losing but there's one point where he's fighting someone he's fought before (he knows the guy's style) and he had just defeated someone with similar abilities with a move that he somehow didn't consider using against this guy. Certain characters thinking "Oh, this person who we don't trust used an ability that made us lose our memories. Oh well. We don't need... more>> to be wary of the technique." Stuff like that, which goes against the characters' personalities, knowledge, and abilities. It happens in most novels, but it's too frequent here.

Blatant foreshadowing. Things like "I would later find out.." or "I didn't know this yet, but..." It adds nothing and gets annoying.

I would find this out later, but the novel is abandoned by the author, so there will be no closure to the story. <<less

Only 20 chapters in so it might be a little to soon to judge, but I gotta say its looking really good so far for isekai standards.

Spoiler

-MC actually has a personality and takes action. He has a goal and is moving towards it. He acts and responds pretty believably for a teenager that just got sent forcibly sent to a different world where violence is way more common. Though he is not coward, he is also not arrogant. He is strong and capable but not s*upidly OP. So far he has a very specific power that is developing instead of the having every single skill, spell, or item bulls**t setup you usually see in isekai. This makes for alot more interesting growth, you really want what he learns or does next with his power.

-Every side character so far seems pretty believable and are not just one dimensional stepping stones for the MC. There's no character being evil and crazy just for the sake of creating forced conflict for the MC. The friends that get summoned are thinking things through and responding to situation realistically just like the MC which is refreshing.

-Since the MC is not OP at all, there's actual tension and suspense in fights. It makes you care to see what happens.

-Even though the first heroine has been present since chapter one, there is no romance yet. She is a gifted veteran knight and is much stronger than the MC right now. Because the MC is brand new to the world as well as life and death combat, she naturally takes on a mentor type roll for the MC as they try to reach their destination. He even refers to her as his guardian. Their relationship really makes sense given their situation. I'm 100% sure romance is gonna happen eventually but it's nice to see a realistic approach instead of the automatic falling in love that is typical in isekai.

[collapse]

I really don't have anything too bad to say about it at the moment, but we will wait and see. It's just a shame the translation is so slow for it. <<less
