This Way of Transmigration Is Definitely Wrong!

Description

Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs.

The worst thing that Shui Ruoshan thinks he ever did?

– He wrote the story of “The Strongest King in History”.

The unluckiest thing that happened to him?

– He transmigrated into the novel he wrote.

The most depressing thing that happened to him?

– His current character doesn’t exist in the original story.

The most frustrating thing that happened to him?

– His current progress completely overturned the original plot.

Other than that, the most unreasonable thing is that he is actually being sheltered by the villain BOSS.

The YY, the level-ups and the ‘cool text‘ in the story that he wrote, why the hell did it suddenly change ‘flavor’?

It must be because his way of transmigration was not quite right!

He wants a redo!!!

Notes :

– YY is OP-ness of MC

– ‘Cool text’ is a story with OP MC without much difficulties and drama

I've never written a review on here before but I felt strongly that I should because I feel that both the description and tags are lacking for this novel. This novel in 169 chapters with extras it's 192. I would give the first 80~ chapters 4.5 stars overall and would recommend them to anyone thinking about reading it. HOWEVER...

First let's talk about the romance. It's a side dish, not a main course.

Overall, this should not be considered yaoi imo. It is closer to shounen ai, but a large portion of... more>> it is nonromantic. The main character is a child so intimacy is present, but it's not sexual. The first kiss is in chapter...
Spoiler

102. Based on the total you might guess why this was a problem for me

[collapse]

Next, let's talk about that yandere. I really like the ML, he's sexy, scary and I would've loved if more of the story was told from his perspective (some of it is and those are my favorite parts). Compared to him, the main character is good, but not as complex as I'd like. Here's my issues with them:
Spoiler

When defending the ML from his enemies the MC is quick-witted and "saves him" when he doesn't speak up for himself. However, the writing in the second half makes him seem like a yapping chihuahua when he does this. I feel like his time would better spent keeping people alive by talking the ML down. In the first half, the MC makes fun of "dog blood" plots saying how s*upid they are. And later, he creates them on his own so maybe the author was running out of ideas/time?

[collapse]

Final thoughts: Read this for at least 50 chapters and enjoy it as much as you can

Spoiler

The ending is weak, but not terrible. If you are used to typical Chinese novels (in my experience) then you will be able to stomach the second half, and if not you will still probably love the first half which is funny, creative, and entertaining to read.

I finished reading this novel yesterday and I have a few things to comment on...

First, why do some people insist that shui ruoshan is dumb/idiotic/s*upid? from what I understood reading other comments, the people who commented on this didn't even read half of the novel... it's not possible to find any plausible development in a novel that has 200 chapters and think that in the first 30 the protagonist will already be super developed and powerful... please.

Second, about ruoshan's personality and his behaviors, honestly I think he is a good... more>> protagonist in these points. it's not timeless or unique, but it's not a bad protagonist either. I dare say that he fulfills very well the role that the author assigned to him, that he is a writer who transmigrated to another world. he is very clear about what is right and wrong, and later understands that although he created that world, he has no control over it and the people that exist there. I found this point that the author made very interesting, it is not much addressed in transmigration novels.

Third, I find the relationship between shui ruoshan and yin suye quite funny. in fact, I confess that I was a little dissatisfied that ruoshan's childish appearance at the end was not an impediment for suye to "play" with him, but it was also something that I had been waiting for since the beginning of the novel... I also like the dynamics of their personality, since, although ruoshan is smart, suye always manages to outwit him, it's extremely funny how he keeps falling into suye's traps...

Talking about yin suye, I confess that at first I was thinking he would be a boring ML, but in the end he ends up being just the type of ML that I am obsessed with: crazy, psychotic, possessive and powerful. and best of all is the absolute devotion he shows to the ruoshan throughout the story and how he is willing to sacrifice anything to keep the ruoshan safe and happy. and the best: he plays the role of irrational villain until the end, because every now and then he's killing or torturing anyone who thinks/speaks ill of ruoshan... real love is like that!!!

Finally, let's talk about the huan tian who is just INSANE and I loved him as a "villain"? seriously, him destroying the world multiple times just because he wanted to see his boyfriend again? please, this is the elite.

Overall, the only thing that really let me down is that I REALLY wanted to read an R18 scene from ruoshan and suye, and in the end I only got a few mentions and nothing else... but hey, we're not always going to win, are we? <<less

Honestly im disappointed. At first I was excited about the plot and characters. In fact I still think the plot wasnt too bad, since I managed to finish the novel, the ML was great too but the MC kinda meh... Anticlimactic (especially after they reach capital) . Each time there was a build up to his scene but in fact it was all meaningless, as he hasn't really done anything throughout.

Furthermore I dont know if this is due to translation to some extent or fully the author but the text... more>> gets rather repetitive (boring to a point) and confusing. The author rumbles on in the middle of a conversation, for example

Speaker A

3 long pointless paragraphs explaining whatever point

Speaker B's reply (by then you forget the point made by speaker A)

So im disappointed as I was really looking forward to this and love transmigration plots. <<less

The story is not bad. I actually liked the plot. I don't know if it's the author's style but, the narration is soooooo long!! It makes the story super boring. I like stories with lots of conversations because it makes the reading more entertaining. Tbh, I skip so many paragraphs. I almost drop reading this. But, because I liked the plot I continue reading it till the end. In short, good story with a bad format (?).

I have mixed feelings about this novel. At the start, it was pretty interesting. MC meets Yin Suye, the villain as well as the ML, and become travel companions. MC is an author who transmigrated into his own novel, and ML returned to the past.

MC runs his mouth so easily with his bullsh*tting skill at the ready. It's hilarious but becomes annoying at later chapters. He might categorize into the annoying ones, I tell you. He's just like those female wuxia characters who like to face slap people with their... more>> talking skills. The difference is, they're smart, while MC is an idiot. I mean, come on. He's the author... he should know what to do. The ML even went so far to give him a hint on his capabilities, yet he keeps on leeching and hugging ML's thighs. Very. Frustrating. Or maybe it's just what he specializes on--making people frustrated. He talks and talks, dragging the conversation too much it becomes boring.

ML is a very distrusting person and it was justified with the way he grew up, but it threw me off how quickly he develops feelings towards the MC. Maybe he has a weak spot for little kids (since MC transmigrated into a little boy's body). But it just threw me off, he's supposed to be distrusting, how could he get so attached so easily??

After MC, ML, and the protagonist met, I feel like at that point the story becomes too rushed. One revelation upon another gets revealed almost simultaneously which gets overwhelming. It was like the author decided to end the novel abruptly. I don't like it. I wish there were more character development and interaction with the protagonist since we almost didn't see that due to the story coming to an end too quickly.

It does have a satisfactory closure with some extras and an alternate ending which is enough for me. It wasn't a crazy good read or anything, just enough for me to pass time. <<less

This could have been an interesting story based on the plot. Unfortunately, the execution is bad.

MC acts like a 5 years old with this s*upid temper tantrums, his monologues are so immature it gets more & more irritating to read his thoughts.

ML feels very flat as he's a very generic yandere character. Nothing unique to take note really.

... more>> The pace of the story is insanely slow. It takes multiple chapters to finish 1 conversation. Just 1 conversation, it's ridiculous.

Not much world building as everything just revolves around MC.

Brainless villains, they literally have no other important purpose but to make MC feel good face slapping them.

Side characters are literally thrown away as soon as they've done their part. No development what so ever <<less

The MC transmigrates into a web novel he was writing and encounters the main antagonist from that series. Completely out of nowhere with no character development after a little "test, " this villain decides he will completely trust the MC and that he wants to care for, possess, and look after him because he "belongs" to the villain/ML.

Spoiler

The villain actually underwent a rebirth plot and actually already experienced the novel planned by the MC, so he's much more experienced than what the MC believes. He sees the MC as his special reward after his rebirth.

[collapse]

The MC's personality is spunky but extremely flat with minimal character depth. Although he actually wrote this novel himself, he's completely forgotten his own critical plot points and details and can't make a realistic story to save his life, which is odd because making up stories was kind of his job. Although the ML is supposed to be blackened from repeated betrayals, he opens up to the MC exceedingly easily and suddenly develops unfathomable feelings for him. His actions don't match his background, and their relationship is incredibly forced.

As for other characters, I don't think anyone has a name so far other than the novel protagonist. Cannon fodder is just cannon fodder, and everyone aside from the MC and ML are mere decorations with no point to their existences other than to show off the ML.

The plot moves painfully slow, and I'm not sure if there is much of one at all.

As for the setting... Well, if even the MC hardly understands his own setting, how could I? There's hardly any imagery or descriptions about anything anywhere other than describing the MC as a shota and the ML as some dashingly handsome warrior.

If you're looking for a series with the slightest bit of depth or logical development, this isn't it. The action is exceptionally weak, too. The MC and ML's chatter is only annoying to me, so, even if you're only looking for a series with light-hearted fluff, I can't recommend this. Unfortunately, I can't see anything to like in this series. <<less

At first I thought what the heck is this!

But then after reading it more. I realize it is actually a pretty good novel.

Its so funny yet there are a lot of plotholes.

... more>> Shui Roushan despite knowing the plot still acts unpredictable and yin suye is a rebirth ML in the story so he has trust issues.

This is really too much and yet I am curious as to what happens next.

The recent update. I just hope yin suye doeant think that shui is suspicious as he (Srs) was there when he (jsy) killed her. <<less

It was good at the start. The plot is interesting and was able to hook my attention. The problem is that at chapter 50 and above, the author decided to forgo cohesiveness to word count to earn money more. This is not a problem usually as you can just add reliable filler or more interesting scenes. The problem is that it focuses more on the narration and it totally overnarrates things that could be explain in simple words.

Because of this, the decent pace was replaced with now unnecessary scenes and... more>> plot deviced scenario just to make the story longer when in fact the essence are just 1000 words as oppose to its 3000 words.

It's good but the author didn't follow through. <<less

For me for sure there where some meh points, like how the author takes looooonng phrases to describe looks, aura and thought process, which is not needed as much as here,if the characterization at the beginning was very good... OR how certain important plot lines just flew over the head.

But all in all it is a satisfactory novel, with even more satisfactory extras.

The MC is quite decent, doesn't condemn the ML and ML is loco but does his utmost to be frank with MC, which helps ALOT

This novel should have been around 50 chapters. What about the rest you ask? Well those are fillers. I kid you not.

The story gets a bit better once the "villain" enters the scene. The first 30-40 chapters are like dialogues filled with paragraphs of the MC mindless rambling. The level of rambling is just ugh... the MC's inner monologues are just fillers by the author to increase word count.

The cat could have saved the day. But alas, author forgot it most of the times. What was the point of mentioning... more>> the kirin? Sigh...

No substance, endless rambling, no world building, no decent side characters. Its just a show between ML and MC with the other characters for guest appearances.

Read it if you have nothing else. Works like a charm for insomnia. <<less

SO basically I personally love this novel and for me I like the MC personality it is very childish and funny and a bit cringe but I enjoy that kind of personality (on the other hand I don’t really like uptight overly smart and c*cky for example quickly wear the face of the devil love the actual novel and plot but couldn’t stand the MC)

I really like the build up of the novel but I’ve read many novels like this so it’s not one of a kind but I... more>> do really like and probably read it from the beginning again ? <<less

Hu Tian completely ruined the story for me. I suffered through the entire story and the MC's s*upidity and the ML's generic yandreness, but I could not get over Hu Tian getting a good ending. It was too much for me. Decreased my enjoyment of the story. If I could have known what would happen, I would have stopped around ch 152, when they were in the Imperial City.

I really like this novel so far, it's really cute and I enjoy how the world of the novel had to adapt itself in order to fit with how the author wrote the novel in order to make the plot holes the author accidentally included make sense. I thought that they some were pretty clever and some of them I'd missed myself, ? It shows that the author has thought quite a bit about the plot which I appreciate

AAA this is so cuuute!! One of my favourite bl novel ever! The MC is an adorable, a bit tsundere shota (physically) while the ML is the typical OP black-bellied, possessive but interesting character.

The ml's protectiveness and possessiveness towards the MC is hella cute and the fact that he's obedient to the MC but ruthless to others just makes me go uwu.

The pace is just right, not rushed. Just a bit slow on the romance progress as the MC is physically a kid but no worries as on later... more>> chapters the long awaited 'actions' would finally bloom. (Lol)

I definitely definitely recommend this! Light and heartwarming but still keeps you on the edge, although you would feel a bit 'eh' on the MC at the start, it gets better on later chapters. <<less

Despite the MC being childish and supposed to be 20 I feel like it matches his new body which is that of a child. He has his moments like verbally beating down someone since he has zero offensive capabilities. It's refreshing to see an MC act this way since most Isekai genre I read has the MC have ridiculous op powers from the very start. SRS gets his own powers but he isn't aware of them.

If you’re looking for a story with deep plot and character development, this is probably not for you haha. If you’re looking for something cute and fluffy, then come at it. Our little MC is absolutely adorable and I just want to hug him at all times. Our ML is aloof but only cares for MC. The plot is indeed rather slow. The author focuses a lot of the characters inner thoughts and the interaction between ML and MC. The romance is quite slow too, at least according to me... more>> because
Spoiler

at this point in time, I think he’s simply possessive of MC because he’s a special existence to him. Not quite love. Furthermore. MC is a shota atm lmao

Spoiler

on the third act drama. Like come on, our MC and ML were finally together and even the hero wasn't really an enemy anymore and suddenly there's another great enemy that there was very little if any foreshadowing of? Whhhhhyyyy? *whines in hating what feels like unnecessary third act drama*

[collapse]

As for what other people are saying about Shui Roshan being s*upid, or everything being narrated... it didn't bother me? Rather it felt like I was reading first person POV, except that it was actually third person. And you can't tell me that everyone doesn't have s*upid or repetitive thoughts sometimes. Also, as a nuero-divergent person myself, I'm pretty sure Shui Roshan is, which explains a lot of his thought process. I do like too that there are times we get our ML Yin Siyue's POV (in third person) as well.

Also someone else pointed out that Yin Suye's favorite word is "En" and that's half of his conversations xD It's true! I feel like it didn't get as tiresome reading it as it must have felt to Shui Roshan listening to it because we often get to see his thought process before he answers.

I love our main character and ml's interactions! It's sweet, considering that one is yandere and trying not to scare off the other, and the other is a bit of an airheaded author. And they actually get along quite well. Yin Suye does "test" the MC quite a bit, but considering what he's gone through, it's kinda understandable most of the time, I think? Especially at the beginning. And he is super doting/pampering.

There are also quite a few lines that make me laugh. Like this non-spoilery one from chapter 4: "What you say? Parallel world using Mandarin as common language is totally illogical? Do you understand what is fictional?"
Like yeah, now that you mention it... why do parallel worlds that people get transmigrated to often use their home country's language despite being completely different? xD They're quick laughs, usually, but that's good enough, I thought.

Oh, and I also do like that
Spoiler

they find out about each other in about the right timing. That is, Yin Suye finds out that Shui Roshan is a transmigrator, and Shui Roshan learns that Yin Suye is a reincarnator. It makes sense that they hid those things from each other at first, so I thought the timing for learning each other's secrets was about right. Although Yin Suye suspected something was up a bit earlier and our hole in the brain MC didn't realize pretty much till he was told...
