The arrival of origin ability era. Many berserk beasts spawned. Humans with superpowers blooming like mushrooms. Su Hao is just an ordinary 3rd year high school student who had mastered a lowly grade origin ability named
“Model analysis”.

However, when he was creating a character model in his mind by analyzing the opposing side’s ability, a crazy idea echoed in his mind. What would happen if he creates a model of the entire world? This would imply that he… would be like a God, controlling the world!

In start it was still ok.. Ish. Like I just skimmed thru the chapters. But at the end it was just a clusterf*ck with no sense whatsoever. All the characters and his friends die 3-4 times in this and he just makes them back in his model world. Like even if he is not present at the time of death he can just make everyone. Earth is destroyed. Again makes a new earth. Thats the end. His Sister and a girl yang Zixi completely forgotten for hundreds of chapters make... more>> appearance sometimes. I thought that maybe after he became strongest and the earth was destroyed he would search for aliens or something but no he just made a new earth and thats it. F*ck. Fuuuck. <<less

First of all, I should make it clear that I haven't covered much of the novel. In fact I haven't even read 50 chapters.

But I am forced to leave a review because of the infuriating presentation of the novel.

Firstly the MC isn't all that smart. No, I am not talking about the typical Chinese non-sense of godly prodigies and sh*t like that. It's just that the MC lacks common sense.

And the author is ret*rded to think that people would just think that the MC was 'hiding' his abilities if he... more>> suddenly shows 100x improvement even if it's just before a test.

It's a world where people developed superpowers after all.

The second thing is the constant reminder from the author about the lack of talent of the MC (he's just doing this to increase the word count).

Next, immature brats, face slapping, immature way to depict romance.

Bully comes and threatens the MC as usual to not spend time with a good looking girl. Mobs talking about how they look good together or not look good together.

Let's not forget how the cheat item fell conveniently into the MC's lap...

The author seems to rely on his descriptions on the beauty of girls (fan-service), cuteness of lolis (cute is justice) and face slapping.

You get your typical poor protagonist who's suppressed because of the unfairness of the world, a very attractive girl from a higher section of the society. A really talented little sister...

I really can't find anything 'original' about this story.

I might try and finish it later if I have nothing else to read. But right now reading this feels like a punishment game. <<less

Decided to drop it because I felt that reading it became a chore. I don't mind slow-paced novels but as mentioned by other reviewers, the author repeats contents and employs filler chapters way too much. For example, repetitive school examinations and tourneys. Also, the author is sloppy af and this lead to many inconsistencies and plot holes that could not be fixed.
Spoiler

The capital city tourney arc is a good example of such

. The romance is also kinda boring, imo.

This is a really good cultivation story with some ability steal elements and a fairly smart MC. The MC does kill his enemies, but is at times far too soft, which causes him to fail at times. But he learns from his failures and improves.

Literally none of the criticisms I have seen here are accurate beyond the first few staring chapters and are probably just there to f*ck with a novel that now belongs to qidian. Speaking of, google for qidian underground to read this novel.

Update, my Review is only for the Novel on Gravity Tales, a Side like Webnovel isnt worth to follow.

Dont know why it´s rating doesnt live to this amazing read so far. It develop´s quite slow and you need to feel for a nerd with quite no sexdrive. But it has a unique "magic" system and I like the story. Quit silly is how all char´s worth is only rated over combat strength mostly 1vs1 or more. A bit sad is how other people beside him are kind of colorless... more>> and it is mostly a power up game with some struggle for survive. But if you like fighting and power up´s with a bit school life and a futuristic setting, it leaves a strong impact. Would like to see a anime of it. Short, I like it chapter for chapter more. <<less

First, I was skeptical because of ow reviews. But after I started reading I became hooked. I think story is good. The main thing I love is aboubt MC's power, which is unique. First time I read this type of unique power in any novel.

Generic cultivation novel. Nothing really stands out.

The story is set in the future, but it might as well be the past. They still have potions, young masters, a poor MC who lucks out on a unique cultivation technique (they just call it "cards" here). The MC's not especially smart either, everything has to be explained to him like he's never heard of it before.

Wow. I've neglected to read this for a while. Though the rating is okay (3.9) the first like 8 reviews I read just hated it. I'd recommend just jumping into it and giving it a try. I feel like it's okay world wise. MC doesn't feel cheaty, just feels like his ability makes up a bit for his huge shortcummings. I'm not sure if it's that way later on, but at least the first couple of hundred chapters were a fun read.

EDIT: Down to 2 stars. I will reiterate, it is quite dumb.

Recommended: Yes, at the very least, I had fun reading it. However, it is quite dumb.

Standard xuanhuan fare. I'd go so far as to say it's below average, but there hasn't been a moment when I've been bored so I'll give it a high rating.

There's a couple of logical inconsistencies that seem to stem from the author making stuff up as they went along. The protagonist's ability in the beginning is vaguely enough defined that they can do anything... more>> the author thinks would be convenient.

The romance, for a xuanhuan, isn't terrible, but that just means it's the tallest among dwarves. There are some entertaining side characters with actual personalities, which is nice. The love interest's brother is hilarious whenever he shows up, but he's not around as much as I'd like in the story as of yet (though he might show up more later as the protagonist moves to a larger stage).

A couple of gripes over CN novel tropes that show up here: The school's policy of leaving them to their own devices and forcing them to buy learning material just sounds like, you know, not being in school; letting your younger generation mu*der/cripple each other over relatively minor disputes does not seem like an effective tactic to create a unified army against an existential monster threat, especially when you can fight in virtual reality without any ill consequence in real life; guns are, as demonstrated in the novel, still quite useful, so you'd expect at least the police would possess a few, but nope. <<less

Quite good. While the author might not be the best writer, the concept of a MC with unconventional powers, in a modern non-iseki is quite good. While the change in translation going from gravity tales for free to webnovel behind a paywall was annoying at least it meant the series got fully translated.

if you enjoy the smarter than your average shonun protag with modeling/simulation powers and an exploration of what that can become, I can recommend, it’s fun and not too serious.

I almost never drop novels even if they’re bad, but this is extremely bad. Author gives MC a sh*t ability, gives it a major boost (which would be strong early on but on the later stages), then despite it not being OP at all, author nerfs it back to uselessness. Worst thing is, MC still feels like he’s so strong despite the major flaw in his ability which basically cuts off his future and does nothing to solve his predicament, all he cares about is raising his physical strength and... more>> other stats despite that route being a dead end.

Then, while we are frustrated at his uselessness and hoping he can get stronger, author stirs the plot in a totally different direction, the f*cking blue dream butterflies shit, he spent a load of time and money in this sh*t and didn’t gain anything. Just when I’m praying that this will end and this f*cking blue dream butterfly never gets mentioned again, I read in the fandom that this butterfly becomes female lead in the future. For fcks sake.

Do not read this if you want an OP MC. Do not read this if you’re expecting something similar to The Strongest Gene. Read this if you want a constantly weak MC with forced plots. <<less

First off, I must say I was surprised at how many low rating reviews there are.

The premise of GMC is a modern world in which humans awaken abilities. Our protagonist Su Hao gets a bottom tier ability, only to rise to the top (obviously).

I was personally very interested in Su Hao's ability and the progression of the story and cultivation at the start. However, around halfway through the story, it becomes very clear that the author may have not been in the right mindset. From the halfway point to the... more>> last arc, things such as breakthroughs or major plot points begin to get less and less explanation, if any explanation at all. My greatest problem in this area is when
Spoiler

Su Hao's friends all breakthrough to the Strongest Esper realm literally for FREE just to serve as plot devices...

[collapse]

In terms of romance, there is a love interest or two, and they do get together (PG-13). Though it is in no way a major plot point.

The ending is alright, it contains one plot twist I didn't expect and wasn't angry about, and another plot twist that was pretty damn obvious. The ending as a whole felt like more work was put into it than the entire middle part of the story.

Thinking back, I can understand exactly why some people may rate this as low as they have, I really only give it a 4 because I liked the unique premise and ability our MC was given, at least it wasn't a system.

All in all, I'd say give it a shot if you want a break from traditional cultivation set in times without technology. <<less

Awful. Plain awful.

Novel had a great synopsis and author decided to just make a mediocre novel. All the comrades he's met along the way were glossed over. Love interests completely forgotten and never acknowledged. Sister ignored.

Alchemy aspect was poorly used. Only thing author did in spades were s*upid school fights, too many tournaments and way too many repeat disaster exploration zones.

Novel rushed at the end and no "wholesome ending"

and decides to make him a loyal dog to the federation which keeps plotting against him rather than someone who repeatedly tells himself how he will decide his own future

[collapse]

the author is also completely inconsistent with peoples personalities and strengths such as

Spoiler

The MC captured a guy (current antagonist) who was holding a city hostage in attempt to find the scum who experimented on him and other people just to end up letting him go by accident after having a good conversation with him and apparently sensing a naive childish mindset from him then on next meeting he apparently no longer has an innocent side to him as that part of him died long ago (despite clearly being present a few chapters ago) and the antagonist decides to wipe out the city which the experiments took place in so he could remove this sinful city by killing everyone including the innocent.

Well it has good writing for fights interesting charecters and story line though ending is bit confusing like how his relationships will go maybe author just didn't want to clarify it but it pisses me when that happens like

SPOILER

His first girl is pretty much considered wife though they never married.

... more>> Second girl he meets seemed to have 2 personalities and I thought both of them fell for him but they get separate bodies in last and only one staying with him is clarified

Loli 1 seems to be head over heels for him and also helps him a lot but she isn't mentioned after her arcs

Teacher/aunt flirts alot and also declares to be with him in end but she is also not mentioned

Loli 2 he saved out of pity etc but she doesn't wakes up till last and it isn't confirmed who she will be interested in

Loli 3/reverse trap seemed like would become either mount or love interest but also isn't mentioned

Sister is basically brocon but she too isn't mentioned much except when getting his help

He basically didn't confirm his relationship with anyone except one and yet they put the harem tag guys he doesn't even give a proper kiss to other girls in this series <<less

Watch local Chinese man become Batman the lightnovel. Has a few issues but enjoyable.

It's a pretty decent cultivation novel, short chapters keep you entertained. Scenarios and fights are interesting. MC changes personalities constantly but it works well enough. The author has this bad habit of gatekeeping information. The MC won't know something despite being intelligent, the phrase is then used and the next day the public is using the term. This is done constantly and it's jarring (score of 20 instead of 10 then changed to 'rank 3'). I like... more>> the FL despite being as interesting as a wood board.

There is definitely some culture shock with Chinese chauvinism and wordplay (Why do they called themselves daddy all the time). Translation is on the worse side but mostly readable. I wish all the abilities had more distinct names cause I couldn't be f*cked to remember them when being introduced to 4 abilities with very similar names. <<less

The novel tells about Su Hao journey from weak w/ low grade origin ability talent until he become the strongest.

The first 400 chapter still quite OK for me, but the story after the beast tide is kinda going down hill (with increasing loophole).

But, it's still OK if you just wanna enjoy a complete story w/ happy end setting....

The story itself is good. But the problem is that the author is extremely s*upid and very forgetful. Su Hao has so many techniques that he could use to change the battle easily or get clues and such with just some techniques. One of the mist forgotten is Art Of Rebirth, he could've used it to send the someone into Kingdom Of Heaven and get all the clues and info that he need. Yet he just let all of them die right in his hand. For example is Fu Yan,... more>> the 9th leader of Nine Snakes and Xiao An, one of the member of Nine Snakes. They're right in front of him, yet the author doesn't think of using Art Of Rebirth. Also, the author has forgotten that Su Hao couldn't use Synchronous Playback in Huanglian Despair because it in itself is a Nitai Artifact, making all detection type techniques unavailable. He also confuses the names and terms quite a lot of times. Or probably the translator. There's too much flaws making the story bad. Hopes the author fixes his brain. <<less

The MC is so st*pid. He said that he need to hide his cheat or whatever is it and then days later on he show off his talent. For that moment I know he's really d*mb st*pid child.

Did he really think no one gonna know his super high speed talent? Unless his enemies have low IQ then his safe.

Really s*upid, to other they need to have a strong support or something before they show off they talent. If he's not careful enough then sooner or later he will be a... more>> death meat. <<less
