The MC is a complete idiot:

Can't speak even simple sentences. Only broken ones.

Prostrates herself multiple times when apologizing when it's not even part of their culture.

Asked for Natto, described by her as 'rotten beans', and thinks that's normal.

Wanted to be breast fed until she was 5.

After all of that the MC is somehow surprised that people are creeped out by her? She who has different looks from everyone else in the family, and acts like ^^, was surprised that people treated her differently? After 8 years, even with not many people talking to her, can't even form a proper sentence because it sounds 'alien' to her.

There is a reason why this was rated at a very high stars. I very much implore you to read all of it first before deciding to rate it.

I also like this side of reincarnation as well. Normally we see successful MC who became insanely skilled in a particular thing. This is a much more realistic take for an average Joe like us who usually can’t learn a new language in a few years, can’t adapt to the cuisine and can’t become cheats who use magic easily.

And MC's having trouble learning a new language, most likely, because of the fact that MC already speaks another language? That accurate~

The (female) MC is has the hots for her own biological sister? That's interesting~

MC starts of in a cell because she's been too different since birth? That's logical~ (sort of)

All in all, I'll give you a 5*, I just hope the updates aren't too sparse...

So yeah, I wanted to know where this was going so I just started reading the Raws (MTL), up to part 1 was done.

Pretty sure you know but this novel is about misunderstandings. Somewhat like Overlord but in here MC isn't OP and doesn't act a character, like Ainz (since he doesn't want to get killed). And the MC even misunderstands the other characters (well mostly has delusions about them hahaha).

The comedy is really good, for me and I really enjoyed it from the beginning up till part 1 ended,... more>> though I think I would have enjoyed it even more if there were translated chapters and I didn't have to decipher the Mtl.

I think I'll used this novel to learn how to read and write in Japanese.

If you like Overlord for it's misunderstandings you will love this.

I hope someone will pick this up it's way better than those other shitty isekai's. <<less

Just keep in mind those traits then you should understand why MC did all of those things.

Second, the misunderstandings themselves are hilarious. MC is usually poker faced, and adding her inability (or more like can't be bothered) to talk, her actions usually being misunderstood. Complied with her 'sad' (lol) past lifestyle and her ephemeral appearance, people often think she was being kind, generous, saintly, etc even though she's just a selfish lazyas5.

It's a nice lol. I'm still deciding whether to give this 3 or 4 stars. For now, let's temporarily gives it a 4.

To the points, I like this novel because:

  1. The story is about a 'pure' misunderstanding between the moon princess who is actually an old man and the sun prince who is misunderstood as the evil prince. Misunderstanding occurs from 2 points of view where every misunderstanding always includes 2 completely different perspectives so it's funny enough to make you laugh out loud.
  2. MC reincarnated into a pure white albino princess. From the outside, her behavior looks like a childish cute loli even if it's just a misunderstanding.
  3. The noble characters here are drawn quite 'dignified' unlike most novels which depict nobles as greedy and selfish humans. For example, the King, Queen, Prince and Princess empathize with the suffering of MC who was locked up in prison before meeting the royal family (even though MC was originally happy to live in prison as a NEET). Rarely are nobles in novels willing to empathize with the plight of strangers.

  2. Some ecchi comedy scenes are actually actual s*xual harassment of women. I don't know why the writer here uses ecchi comedy for jokes that are not funny. How do we laugh at scenes of s*xual harassment? I mean it's really annoying.

I really enjoy the comedy at first and the loads of misunderstandings that comes. If you enjoy that sort of thing then this will be an absolute joy to you. However, personally after awhile it becomes a bit off on the mental gymnastics does the MC goes through to justify their reasoning.

The best way to describe this is "big dissapointment". It took the typical "mythical beautiful princess locked up deep inside the wilderness and her knight (aka animals) " and just absolutely ruined it by using "isekai genderbender" setting. Also I don't know why it suddenly spoil you with the "oh she is going smart influential princess remembered by history in the future + misunderstanding stereotype".

Like it had enough to make interesting story, but author just keep pilling new things because trends. It had interesting magic system where it's more like... more>> special ability where one person only have one ability. It could've lean more on the whole "mythical princess" because she can talked to (one) animal, make her someone who is closer to animal/nature than people. <<less
