His only hope is the sword. However when he pulls out the sword, he learns of a life that isn’t his, swordsmanship that isn’t his, and his life changes forever. How will the weakest Healer become the strongest Swordmaster?

Unique, quite odd, at times awkward but still great Korean novel!

Let's quickly discuss the parts that matter:

  1. Setting: A fantasy world with highly developed (in magical theory that is) world is invading Earth through creating through raids, and dungeons. Due to the leakage of mana magic has come to Earth, those whom mutated are called 'Hunters'.
2. The protagonist is basically more Roel than Joon. Roel is Joon's previous life on a fantasy world, as Joon synchronises with Roel's soul, he becomes more, and more apathetic. Cold, calculative, and rather heartless... more>> one can say. His key defining trait I would say is greed, but his greed has a reason... he wants to save his father who's dying from cancer.

3. Romance: So far, at chapter 171, I can confirm that there's more than 3 women interested in our 'hero'. Does the protagonist reciprocate their feelings? No, he doesn't care at all, but in the eyes of the 'love interests', it seems like baby-steps. E.g. Instead of calling for favours, the MC now calls, and then makes small-chat for a minute.

Do I recommend this novel in the end? YES! It's incredibly satisfying to read about a truly selfish MC! <<less

Story plotline is somewhat interesting. There are exciting battles but the conversations feel unnatural.

The MC is surrounded by yes man here and there. People that had a taste of his heals praises him everytime it happen.

His ghost aide is uselessly mansplaning things to him. Some can argue that because his memories are fragmented, but its not.

... more>> The ghost kept on talking as if he is a computer tutorial AI.

"My lord, its best to use this now"

MC will just nod and do it

"My lord, mana is at this point, why not use illusionary sword now?

Mc: okay sure. Why not?

MC is useless without him. A kid that cant ride a bike without guide wheels.

If you expect that the MC inherited the intelligence of the swordsaint, its not. Either the swordsaint is s*upid or the MC is.

Read it if you have nothing else to read. <<less

Wow. I didn't know the day I would use something like "Cool story bro" to rate a story would come, but here it is.

Cool story, bro. Seriously. Reading this novel was just bland and overall not fulfilling. Bland descriptions of fights, bland info dumps, bland character developments, bland explanations of current situations.

Oh yeah. The bland bystanders making bland comments about how the bland MC is clearly (and blandly) OP. At least make it more exciting.

I couldn’t read any more.
I hate to be one of those people who read a few chapters and judge an entire novel, but this is so poorly written with such terrible character development that’s it’s unreadable.
There are no descriptions other than the name of the object and the MC’s actions simplified into one sentence.
The characters are so 2D that they’d cut your finger.

The battles are described as a matter of fact with no attempts of making them interesting or provoking your imagination.

The author gives me the feeling... more>> of an edgy teen writing a fantasy of how he would handle great power.

The MC adapts to his power too quickly and instantly becomes OP.

Being a childish edgelord, he goes to show it off straight away while he’s been investigated for potential mu*der.

The character reactions? There aren’t any other than “oh he was holding back” like one of those crappy isekai japanese slice of life novels where the MC has the overused “yare yare” boring attitude.

I can see why this is being translated slowly, I can’t see why it’s even worth translating.

Read if you’re extremely bored and open minded. <<less

I've read up through chapter 119.

It is a fun easy read. I have not seen any of the issues mentioned by other reviewers.

Also, Scribble Hub is a great place to read - the format/layout there seems a lot better than most other sites.

I'd give it 3.5 stars. As I can't actually pick 3.5, I'd rather give it 4 than 3, because 3 makes the story seem worse than it is. I expected the MC to be a huge asshat (and he sort of is) but he's not as bad as I thought he'd be. He's just... pointlessly cold? For lack of a better description. The MC is pretty bloodthirsty but I enjoy seeing him tearing a**holes a new, err, a**hole. The story's biggest flaw is probably a lack (but not complete absence)... more>> of engaging secondary characters to round things out, especially given that the MC isn't necessarily the easiest person to relate to. <<less

Terrible plot, terrible writing style, terrible character

It´s a knockoff off other Korean dungeon Novels where Earth is invaded and one character gains extreme power.

Here the MC is a arrogant prick who apparently has no dreams at all.

... more>> There are not character interactions except when he extorts or gets free money from someone. It´s always the same. He goes into an dungeon, clears it in record time and done. Sometimes he is talking about "Synchronisation" which basically makes him stronger and is akin to XP.

The author is quite bad. In one sentence something is described and in the next we are suddenly somewhere else. Or the MC is attacked with an sword and in the next sentence the MC put his sword into the attacker. <<less

Extremely difficult to slog through this story. The main character is unlikeable, combat is boring and the authour can't seem to get enough of making his character look edgy and better than other characters. Deeply recommend not reading this. According to another reviewer, it gets better at chapter 39 but it's so bad I'm giving up at 12.

Save yourself and go read something else.
