Honestly I don't know why this has such a low rating.

It's not even past 10 chapters yet, you haters. There's not enough content to judge.

That being said I rate it a 5 to balance out a little. There's no reason to be spiteful and rate it a 1, jeez. Support the translators a little, Rie is just trying to learn Japanese.

About the story itself, well, it starts out pretty generic. Lady summoned together with cute girl and gets ignored by Prince. Reminds me of Heibon, but unlike Heibon the people... more>> around her aren't complete arseholes and she continues to stay at the royal castle as a researcher/pharmacist where she creates slightly more effective potions due to her Saint power. As its only chapter 3 so far it's hard to get a good feel on it but it could be going down a route where she creates miracle cures or becomes a legendary alchemist or such. It's too soon to judge, but we'll just have to wait and see. <<less

A nice relaxing story, though the beginning reminds me of +a no tachiichi where the maiden chosen by her attractive look and the one who deemed not pretty enough being abandoned almost made me feel repulsed (in +a no tachiichi the MC is being abused extremely bad because she's thought to be an extra, with ALL of the characters are a**holes even the supposed to be meh love interest, or even her friend from school), fortunately it was a false alarm.

Glad that the MC in this series is a girl... more>> who is having a rather reasonable personality, she can fend herself just fine and she knows full well how to speak her anger/protests when she's being treated badly (again in comparison with +a no tachiichi where the MC just accept the abuses and pretends being fine while the readers can read her inner monologue that she's actually very depressed.)

There are romance in this series, the sweet and innocent type. The interaction between the MC and the love interest is nice to see. As usual of shoujo genre, there are one or two guys so far who fall for her, luckily there's no annoying rivalry plot between the guys. They don't disturb each others attempt to approach the MC or planning some annoying schemes to put the rival at disadvantage like the one's often depicted in childish mellodramatic shoujo stories. They simply treated her nicely and let her choose to approach the one she prefer more. Yeah it lacks conflict, but superficial conflicts sometimes too annoying and grating to read so a rather laid back and down to earth romance depiction like this feels like a breath of fresh air.

So far the characters are nice guys with the exception of the first prince, though you don't need to worry since he only met the MC once in the very beginning of the series. So far he doesn't have any futher impact to the MC's life. <<less

As of chapter 13, I have no idea why there are 15 people giving it a valuation of '1'.

While I admit, it's certainly not the most awesome or inspiring story, it is not bad. Not bad at all.

Let's go with the negatives first

Just like every isekai story, there's a certain measure of wish fulfillment in this story. It's not a lot, but it is obvious. The protagonist is simply someone who has 100% success rate, except for those beyond her abilities at the time. But this isn't really a problem... more>> to me. It's no different from a Level 10 alchemist mixing a Level 5 potion, I've played enough MMORPGs as a crafter that this doesn't bother me.

She is too capable, which ties to the above. She simply can do everything she wants to do better than others and there's no explanation why, yet. I'm not saying she can kill demons that nobody can kill and win at low level. She doesn't fight anyone at all, she's a pharmacist and cook, but her creations are better than everyone elses. I'm assuming this is probably because maybe she's the 'true' saint, but I'm waiting for the explanation.

Lack of depth. Anyone who read it can tell that there's not much detail in the composition. However, if you consider that this is an early webnovel and is a draft, not a final product, this flaw is easily forgiven.

Now the positives.

The protagonist is an old maid, around 25 years old. She's been working long hours for years and looked sickly when she was first summoned. Over time, she became healthier and even got a romance development with the 3rd Knight captain. She acts like a 25 year old virg*n and I believe the author portrayed her innocence pretty well. I'd prefer if there's a little more details, but since it's a webnovel, I don't mind it that much.

There is no betrayal flag for the foreseeable future. While the novel did start with something like a betrayal, in which the 1st prince didn't even address her, the protagonist proved to be not a pushover. The actions of the king and ministers are also logical, as they wouldn't betray her because she's probably their saviour. This is cool with me. Frankly all the betrayal stories have gotten far too ridiculous these days.

The story is simple. It doesn't give you extreme emotions, and that's cool with me. I rarely read webnovels to feel anger, so this is totally cool in my book. It's an easy read, no mess, no heavy stuff. It's simply rosy, mushy stuff. It's like a teddy bear.

If one is to compare it with any well-known isekai novels, I'd say it's something like Mushoku Tensei, without the hardships, tragedy and pe*verted protagonist. It's still too early to say anything else.

Why I gave it 5 despite the flaws? Because I really enjoyed it, and that's all that matters to me. <<less

My reviews usually contain minor spoilers, even when I unintentionally try to avoid them. As always, please skim or skip my review if you'd want a fresh perspective on this novel. This may or may not be subject to change, but I'm definitely going to check out the LN version later as well.

I'd also like to mention that my review and rating is based on my own opinions and thoughts. I've seen the other reviews tr*shing "haters" and those who are giving this a low rating because of the translation... more>> quality, and I'd like to mention that this is common to any novel out there. If the translation is bad, then of course the ratings would be lower. That said, I highly respect translators and am thankful for their work nonetheless, especially since my problems with this novel aligns more with the story itself and has NOTHING to do with the translation quality.

As other reviewers have stated, this is very, very bland. It follows the common trope of isekai stories with nothing particularly interesting thrown into the mix (unlike +a no tachiichi, which I had enjoyed despite its faults and the rushed ending). Sure, there's interesting events here and there, and sure, the protagonists isn't hatable. Unfortunately, the way event progresses are written in a way that makes me feel as if I'm reading a summary of each chapter. I can't emotionally connect to anything.

All in all, this is a simple day-to-day slice-of-life type of story. I don't see an overarching plot, which isn't always needed, but it's rather boring overall. Honestly, I think I'd prefer reading something I can hate on rather than something that I feel like I have an obligation to finish through. Despite my low ratings, I'm sure there are many who would enjoy this. Try it if you like the isekai genre and would rather read something relaxing than stimulating. <<less

I like the beginning a lot, but the more recent chapters have begun droning on for too long. Although the premise is interesting, there are a lot of chapters with very little development so it's gotten boring and hard to read.

Really rather mediocre and more than a little annoying.

On the plus side the prose is readable from the MTL, you can follow to the end without worrying about permanently having a cliffhanger.

On the minus side the plot is s*upid and painful. The MC gets treated shabbily when summoned to another world that needed a saint. She more or less gets ignored and resents it. Then she meekly avoids every opportunity possible to correct the situation, because she's polite and Japanese. What's more that business in the synopsis, do you think... more>> it's hers ? Nope she's just a wage s*ave again. You follow that up with people around her being to damn s*upid and those that actually care about her not stepping up to help her out, it's annoying.

Personally this particular style of lead has gotten to the level where I just hate these main characters and would like to beat them till they stand up for themselves.

Summary:

Pluses: Readable writing. It's all there. If you do like it you can finish it. There's not much there so it's easy to read in a sitting.

Minuses: s*upid concept, Overplayed gag, and a really overdone setting. (Really just how big does anyone think the market for expensive consumer goods is in medieval worlds ?) <<less

Female protagonist gets double summoned with another girl and is skipped over. I feel like I've read the premise before but I can't remember where. Either way this novel so far seems to be interesting as it is different from all of the big-cheaty-summoned-to-another-world novels. The MC doesn't have any big cheats as of yet and the character itself isn't obnoxious. I'm happy to read more.

This author has a lot of potential. Particularly, I like her side character perspectives and her culture shock details. The chapters read fairly well too and she introduces fairly well rounded characters.

However, there are just too many issue: the overall plot is nothing new in JP web novels. In fact, there's a bit of a hodgepodge of different ideas: status screens and OP character traits, modest researcher girl and a handsome noble-captain romance, introducing new cultural ideas (food) from modern Japan, an almost 19th century Dutch cityscape beside medieval castles... more>> (not that that's abnormal in JP fiction...). It's really easy to lose the flow of the plot. Judging by the progressively longer periods between releases by the author, I have a feeling she's getting a bit lost too.

I hope she starts a new novel, since I feel with a bit more planning, she could write a pretty good novel! <<less

It's a good read because I really don't mind cliche stories like being treated badly at first then turning around.

My only problem

Spoiler

is how the MC is being stubborn when it comes to having people change around her. I can see her growth in magic but her growth in terms of being confident in her being a saintess is a little slow?? I guess??

But I still like it ^v^

Really fun to read and the translation quality is good.

It has the Josei problem, like the Shounen one, of too many handsome man which makes the cast some what undistinguishable one from another if you were to think in form of appearance. Fortunately the author uses their jobs and not their names, so I mostly forgot how they were described and my image of them comes from their title+behavior.

The MCs behavior is nice and realistic considering her age and life.

I recommend it if you want something nice relaxed to read

a nice story it was easy to read and easy to understand. The author must be put an effort to write it but the way author write it was closer to diary than novel. From my point of view the manga give me more expression than the novel, the novel itself more like someone talking to herself without have much any chit chat with other.

Somebody mentioned +a no Tachiichi... the difference between +a no Tachiichi is that, in "The Saint's Power is Omnipotent", the people other than the as*hole prince treated Sei with due respect, and once she started to prove her usefulness, they acknowledged her achievements, even if they didn't know she was the true Saintess...

In +a no Tachiichi, everybody treated Satoki like tr*sh, even after learning she was the Holy Maiden (or at least, she shared her power and was better at using it than Haruka was...).

Spoiler

Kusha sensed that Satoki had divine power, and rather than explaining it to her, she sent her to the kitchens, and later on, to one-room tiny old house out in the city... all because she didn't look the part...

Miva showed only contempt and disgust towards her, treating her like a servant, despite wanting her to step on the role of the Holy Maiden and save their country. He threw impossibly high expectations on her, while showing no emotional support, sympathy or any positive reinforcement...

First thing Roswald did upon seeing Satoki for the first time, was to tell her that she was ugly... Since the pretty one he thought could help him take over the kingdom was Haruke, he treated the other girl like tr*sh.

I hope the Demon Prince won the war and wiped out the Egin and all of its a**holes...

I thought I made a review of this aleready but I guess not.

A very relaxing read, really. It has a weak start and the events seems rushed but its fine if you just lazily enjoy the story. There are a lot of cut scenes (I mean not in the story at all, that I feel should be there) and yet its fine just the way it is. The story is really easy going all around. Too bad, seems like this is going to be dropped, at the rate its getting... more>> updated, sighs*. <<less

One of my 5star rating (I rarely put 5star).

I fell in love first with the manga since it follows the novel very faithfully, so when I read the novel.... it's just magnified my love for this work.

A good world building, not too fast and not too ridiculous with the OP.A slow romance.A female protagonist with strong mentality. An isekai protagonist that doesnt pour all her native (or should I say Japan) delicacy and insist them.

The best point of this LN? Its simplicity. I love the light theme in here, its good for a refreshment from other isekai theme with heavier theme. It gives me this relaxing vibe when reading this ?

If you love isekai that have heavier plot, more political issues, or even noticable romance progress, I think maybe this LN is not your cup of tea.

I liked this serie from the start! But, kinda lost interest since the latest chapters are either dragging or too short.... in some chapter nothing happen of any significance. I'm gonna follow the manga adaptation but, I can see the same method is used there... -_- Nice start but, slow development as it goes on. I still want to know what will happen so I'll probably still follow this serie

Still I highly advise this book, since for once the universe of isekai reward the Mc's hardships. And she tries... more>> to be useful to people with her given power. Plus the Mc's is not a blaming the other person or intentionally want to "overthrow" the other girl from the nice treatment she got. It's nice seeing MC being thoughtful of the younger girl... <<less

Love the story so much.. I read the manga first and it’s really slice of life types of story which is very relaxing.. I’ve read too much isekai/reincarnation etc story with a lot of betrayal and power struggle and revenge that when I stumble into this story it’s like a fresh breath of air.. I hope the translation will continue

I started reading this novel after I found a manga of the same name. I love transmigration stories so I checked on the title and super excited when I found the webnovel translated here. I love how laid back the author write this story. I love the fact that the MC is someone who has to work her way through her power, (albeit having it easy) but still she is someone hardworking and always tries her best to improve herself. The romance in this novel is also progressing nicely... more>> without it being too forceful between the MC and her crush, definitely not shoujo manga-esque. <<less

Interesting novel. I am having fun reading it so far. It's not a regular emotional roller-coaster and the characters are being developed very well, so it's quite refreshing and interesting to read. I want to read more but sadly I can't understand Japanese and the translators that work well for Chinese don't do the same for Japanese.

I wanted to ask if anyone has read the RAWS? I want to know if she has told or has been found out to be the Saint yet? I am really curious, so please... more>> help! <<less

I also read the translated light novel (published) version, so I can say this for sure; the web novel version is a simple soft-boiled egg, while the light novel version is an omelette rice seasoned with spices and served with savory home-made tomato sauce. I stopped reading this one because it feels... crude, and lacking in depth.

I won't say it's bad, but I can't note any notable part where I feel like saying "ah this is good", so for now I'll just give it 3-4 stars.
