The fat cat Black Tubby said, “Supreme Commander is a good person, meow!”

The bird Grandfather Sparrow said, “Supreme Commander is a good person, chirp!”

The little mouse Oil Jar also said, “Supreme Commander is a good person, squeak!”

Furthermore, the weasel Great Immortal said, “You and Supreme Commander are a match made in Heaven~”

All of the little animals told Ning Xiaoyao about Supreme Commander, Supreme Commander, Supreme Commander! So, Ning Xiaoyao believed that this Supreme Commander named Lou Zigui had to be a good guy. As to whether or not they were a match made in Heaven…

The fat cat Black Tubby clawed at Ning Xiaoyao. “You wrote the decree sentencing Supreme Commander to death in the execution grounds, ah! You fatuous, self-indulgent ruler!!!”

Ning Xiayao replied, “…”

Ning Xiaoyao is a genetically evolved army doctor from a zombie-infested apocalyptic world. One day, she transmigrates to the past as the next emperor of an ancient country. But wait, isn’t she a girl?!

As it turns out, she’s a disguised stand-in for her baby brother under the “loving” care of the empress dowager, her mother and future mu*derer. Faced with her impending death, Ning Xiaoyao must thwart the schemes of her family to survive in a palace allied against her. But how does a zombie-killing expert with supernormal strength, healing powers, and the ability to understand animals deal with the intricacies of court politics?

“If nothing else works, I’ll just beat them all up!”

Totally hooked with the plot and character! How female lead sees and acts with the situation around her really baffled her subordinates, even the male lead, hahaha^^. So far no heart wrenching events, and the flow of how the male lead slowly sees the goodness in Xiaoyao gives us a cute and warm feeling :). Thank you for picking up this novel^^

This novel started out great. Different from the usual transmigration stories. FL isn't overpowered or perfect at everything, story focuses more so on the dealing & schemes in the palace, great group of diverse characters that aren't all crazy in love with the FL. It was written in a great pace.

I would of given this novel 5 stars if it wasn't for the ending. It was rushed, totally had a different pace that didn't match the rest of the book, characters were forgotten, villain has an unsatisfied ending. Could complain... more>> more but that's the gist. It was noticeably lacking in quality that was in the first two thirds of the book. <<less

WOW! I really love this novel because I don't have to read about arrogant characters who tried to humiliate and/or kill the main lead in just about every three chapters! This is super engaging and has real LOL moments. This novel is seriously in my all time fave list. I need to find more novels like these but unfortunately there are not many.

at the beginning I was laughing of loud until my stomach hurt. Then in the middle until the end. Im kind of disappointed in the way of ending in the story, maybe the author was tired or already want to end the novel. It okey that they get together but it was lacks off, the best part of a story was the way thru the ending. Something like, after the ML arrive late, he became an emperor with a broken hearted but still goes on for the reason of the... more>> dream of his crown prince and MC goal to have the refugees a home. After a while the country goes to prosper while the MC went to the other way have a good life she longing with her child and family. After time pass by year after year, ML everyday suffer from longing and missing for MC (I'll be happy for that) while MC was happy moving on to her life and got engaged to another man. Then ML got the news from a subordinates something like blah blah blah MC found and happy in relationships with other man, ML lost his reasoning and charge forward to getback MC in a not a easy chase (to cheap to ML to have an easy happy ending) <<less

The story is hilarious, I found myself laughing at the funny bits and truly get choked up over the sad bit. I will admit that this is a story you will kind of have to turn off your logic to truly enjoy. There are bits of humor I cringed over, but it didn't felt forced and ultimately in character for the story’s cast. There are unresolved side characters’ plot lines at the end which is disappointing. I have also enjoyed the characters and they relationships as it progresses in the... more>> story. By the end, most of the major plot lines are resolved even if the ending felt rushed.

Overall, the story did well in hitting all the emotional ques. It does have a crazy premise with a wacky MC, so a bit of suspension of disbelief is need to enjoy. Some of the humor does rely on second-hand embarrassment, so expect shameless behavior from characters and s*upidity all around. However, most of the characters' reactions and interactions don't feel forced and you will be swept up in the emotions of the scenes.

The characters I found are all likable. Hell, I even approve of the 'big bad' villains because they continue to be that menacing threat even off screen. The characters are all as colorful as their morality. The side character is all so flushed out with their own lives, motivations, and loyalties. All actions have causes and effects that each character must live with. The consequences have weight, big or small, something happens because someone did this which makes the story engaging.

The MC appears to be naïve and even a bit dumb, but she isn’t she is well informed and even if she isn’t book smart she is intelligent. She is smart enough to keep up with villainous Grand Preceptor and the scheming ML, she also has her own plots and stratagems working with or against other schemers in the story. The most interesting of her little schemes are the ones against the ML because they show the powerplays between the two of them as they try to work around eachother’s bottomline and moral choices. The reason the MC appears naïve is because of the value she puts on human life but if you consider her background it kind of make sense. :Spoiler: She is from a zombie infested world and it is hinted that she is at least a second generation apocalypse survivor, it has been enough time for rebuilding after the disaster for the development of GMO people, militia that specialize in killing zombies, and a “value every life” culture. :Spoiler end: Her world views clash with the ML’s world where human life is cheap, where the good die young and the powerless gets none.

The ML is a prime example of the gray and grayer mortality, he has gazed into the darkness too long. He is a “good” person, ruthless commander, black belly schemer, and a tragic hero. He isn’t a fainting beauty nor is he a white knight but god when he is treated this way it so funny. He is too world wary to be kind while the MC is too kind to be a ruler so they make quite an effective team. He actually reminds me of a lot of transmigration heroines, the shameless black belly miss character. The ML is kind of the MC’s right hand man through most of the story, he is willing to do what it takes for their common goal and the MC often leaves him with the less pleasant aspects of “Ruling” because she don’t feel like being a ruler which makes the ending so much more hilarious. :Spoiler: He becomes the emperor and the MC is his empress who rules behind the curtains, he can’t hide sh*t from her and he is wrapped around her finger enough said. :Spoiler end: The fact they work so well together makes the romance kind funny and over the top, but really I want to see the story from an outsider’s point of view like Pei Yan or someone from the shadow squad

This is a story I wish there was extra epilogue chapters, I need to know what happen to the other characters. I want to know how the MC and ML’s days are like after the story’s conclusion. Did they still go to war with the Hu? This story can also spawn a thousand fanfictions which is always a plus for me. I love this story but I will admit that this is for a unique audience at the moment, I hope some of my thoughts has encourage more readership and offer some counterpoint to the naysayers. <<less

Well, first things first. I loved the novel. It's light, funny and well, funny. I'd have loved to rate at 5 stars, but the ending is just... worth a big fat 2! Well, read the spoiler at your own risk.

So. ML chose to fully dally at critical juncture and royally let MC down. If she wasn't strong enough physically and mentally (albeit immature to protect herself from harsh reality she lived in during her first life in zombie world, I assume), she'd have died. She lived though, and went on saving his brother, then healed his nephew, although she was heartbroken and unhappy (or maybe even pissed off, considering her happy-go-lucky character?) And didn't intend to see the ML again. I could understand her attitude of brushing it under a rug within a half of a chapter (can be explained by escapism and happy-go-lucky), and couple more chapterst todeal with the fallout. And that's it. The problem is that the ending is rushed, butchered and feels like author didn't want or bother to make it passable. Going with the flow and her personality, I'd have assumed she'd end up with someone, anyone else, hell, even being thrown back to the zombie world was better than that sh...y make up. Yes, he regretted his decision, so fcking what? He silently flagellated himself over this, so fcking what? Can it being the dead back?! Hmph, hmph, hmph! And she forgives him way too easily. At least torture him for a couple of years for goodness' sake! No, she healed him, saved him and saved him again and then, voila, he's emperor, she's Empress'! What happened to her wanting to live freely away from imperial palace, huh?

This novel is hilarious and makes me laugh every future chapters. "Unruly" is an apt description of the main character. As a former apocalypse survivor, she doesn't know manners and speaks so frankly that the officials don't know how to respond to her. Similarly, their flowerly language and metaphors confuse the dickens out of her. Since she has impressive healing abilities, she is extremely difficult to kill and infuriates and confounds those who attempt to assassinate her. As a young immortal monstrous woman clothed in the guise of the emperor,... more>> she is extremely valiant and fearless. I adore her character, and she cracks me up.

The can also talk with animals, which is a skill I did not look forward to before trying this series. The animals are all funny and have their own personalities.
Spoiler

They act as her personal spies, making the MC's enemies put forth futile efforts exterminating their own men as they try to figure out who is giving the MC her information. It becomes very hard to keep any gossip or secrets from the MC, lol.

[collapse]

The male lead isn't bad, but he definitely fits the description of "evil vixen." Their relationship is one of the few in a historical Chinese series that doesn't begin with r*pe and isn't abusive. It would be interesting if the MC decided to destroy him, though.

All of the other human characters, like the animals, have their own defined personalities and goals with plenty of scheming involved. It's well worth checking out. <<less

ML is awesome, understanding and supportive and often his good intentions will be sabotaged by MC and storyline is good. Its just the MC is one you can love on one hand and can irritate the hell out of you at the same time. Sometimes I wonder if any human can be so forgiving like her or practice love your enemies like she does. Just when the story turns around that way I feel like quitting. This is honestly on my top favorite novels of all times. The overpowered protagonist made me think twice about reading it at first but it's completely worth it. She's just one of the best MC's out there, also, I found myself laughing out loud on almost every chapter.

This novel very much reminds me of "A Will Eternal" (highly recommended) despite the fact that they're 2 very different genres that, on the surface, seem to target very different audiences. But they're shockingly similar in the shamelessness of the MC's and the way my sides hurt from laughter after reading. And that's why I can't help but love this novel- it completely goes against what we expect from this type of genre/story setup. All of the elements are there: revenge (kinda sorta), awesome male lead, scheming family, but it's... more>> done in an entirely different and refreshing way. Rarely in chinese novels, especially rebirth/transmigration novels, do we see a female MC who can just be... silly. And it's because she's so silly that this novel is so unique; despite the dramatic and/or gloomy scenes, this novel is purely a comedy, but with a potentially serious underlying plot to help break up the slapstick.

It's super good! <<less

This is a lighthearted novel but one of the things I love most about it is that it gives me exactly what I want from a parallel dimension/time travel novel: real conflict between people of 2 different cultures.

I don't mean that when an MC sees something greatly different from their set of value and then choosing to either change the culture or comply with it. Or when a character reflects on the others' values and come to some sort of inner resolution. I mean that when people from both cultures... more>> (

) were communicating/arguing and were coming to a compromise and/or accepting the other's mindset. They both walk away, even if not agreeing wholeheartedly with or totally understanding the other, but able to see where the other's point was coming from.

I love that. I love it when the author makes an effort to show a struggle of values by characters, whose backgrounds are so diverse from one another but somehow they wind up on the same side, especially when the struggle isn't easy (and it shouldn't be). I think this is one of the strongest points of this series, besides its humor and character interactions. <<less

Yes, the MC and her interactions are funny (just read the other reviews to know more). Kudos for having a female MC that isn't afraid to have s*x or talk about poop.

In addition, the male lead and court intrigue are very believable. So often novels like this simply make the male lead OP, with OP servants, that deus ex machina any supposedly intelligent/complicated revenge plots. In this story, the male lead has to constantly adjust for the chaos that is the MC, in addition to planning and communicating with his... more>> subordinates. The villains also plan and enact logical traps that would work if the MC was not so abnormal.

Best be warned though: this novel is not afraid to go into gory details of torture and the states of various corpses. <<less

A lot of people have already pointed out everything I hated about the ML, so I won't go over that. Instead! I'll just say that this is getting 5 stars because MC was actually a bamf for the majority of the story.

I did nearly drop the story ... more>>
Spoiler

when the ML initially left and MC seemed to be just sitting around the palace waiting for ML to return. This is also the same time that MC learns she's pregnant. I've read way too many books where a bamf female character becomes useless and can't do anything the moment she realizes she's pregnant, but let me tell you right now that this MC has an incredible battle scene where some heads role and her pregnancy does not hinder her at all. That alone made me want to give this 5 stars.

[collapse]

My biggest gripe with this is
Spoiler

that I could have gotten over the initial betrayal by the ML if he hadn't still decided he wanted to be the emperor. If this had ended with MC and ML traveling the world together, I would have loved it. ML just comes off as a selfish and power hungry jerk.

I wish MC would have just stayed with her family and ditched that loser.

I'm on the final chapter, but I have no intention of finishing the story. Xiaoyao deserves better and Lou Zigui deserves to live the rest of his days knowing Xiaoyao is happier without him.

hes constantly CONSTANTLY endangering the fML like literally he f*cking HESITATES between the throne and MC (eventho shes literally f*cking pregnant) which leads to the MC 'dying' and suddenly hes all in regret blah blah the auther makes a dumb attempt to show how bad he feels. turns out MC is alive, hurray, AND THEN HE JUST BEGS ABIT LITERALLY HARASSES HER UNTIL SHE FORGIVES HIM AND ofc our fML being innocent or watever forgives him and becomes an EMPRESS?? which SHE DIDNT WANT TO BEGIN WITH. like she literally wanted to escape the palace but got roped in by him and became a empress with literally no power. what.

the moment the ML hesitated, was the moment it confirmed that he never truly loved her and that his greed for power was obviously prioritised over fml. I hate how he got away with it all too, why does he get to be the emperor AND have the fml? esp since he doesnt deserve her. he shouldve atleased suffered for longer too, like homeboy suffered for maximum a month maybe like.... yeah no

anyways the story is alr, fML is abit of a weirdo but shes a likable character and acc deserves happiness whereas the ML can literally go die in a ditch <<less

I think people who want to enjoy this novel shouldn't be hoping for a genius FL or such. Because of you do, you will surely be disappointed. You shouldn't read the novel of you wish for a strong (in this case mentally) FL who could conquer a country. No, I'm serious. If you prefer FLs like the FLs of Poison Genius Consort or such and dislike 'naive' FLs, just don't.

Also, ML can be categorized as decent. But that can also depend on your 'decent MLs list'. For me, he... more>> is definitely not the best, yet he isn't the worse either. If it's according to my judgment, well, he's hovering above the average line only by a few inches. For another reader, he may be the kind of ML they would spit on. Yet for another one, ML could pass off as the best. So, what's your standard? Only you know.

Okay, now for the positive side.

FL is such a cutie pie. She will indeed come annoying to some people. Personally, I have no problem with the FL. Oh come on, what else can I ask for? I think she's very fit for this genre. I mean, I like reading rom-com novels, and one thing that I can notice is, most FLs are cute, yet their cuteness is another word for annoying in some people's dictionary. There are no wrong sides here. Every writer and every reader has a different taste.

Oh, about how she's so simple. I actually try to take a positive outlook that people from her past life might not care about anything as long they could live for another day. Ofc we all know how vicious human minds can be, but let's just take her as another possibility, where humans are too tired to scheme and such and they prefer to be blunt instead. I don't think it's fair to call her dumb or such, but then again, different readers, different views.

Now, ML. Lou Zigui. Dang, don't you dare to think I have forgiven you, young man. But let's put my disappointment aside, I can see how he could be the fittest couple for our FL. I know, I know, he's a jerk. If only the author allowed it, I actually prefer FL to go with Erya's big brother.

ML is actually quite interesting if I think about it quite deeply. As a young boy, he found himself losing his family members due to war, it certainly was not easy. He was the youngest, the one showered with care, and forgive me for being too much if I must- but he was that little brother who was spoiled by his family, Yet the imperial family, the war, the country's politic, took away the most precious thing he had, his family. He had all love and care and suddenly the next thing he knew, his family crumbled. Dead father and brothers, grieving sisters-in-law, and a sick nephew. As his best friend died as the result of a power struggle, I somehow find myself sympathizing with him.

But is that an excuse? Ofc not, heck, it still wouldn't erase some things I don't like about him. He is cold, crafty, logical, and intelligent. But at the same time, I doubt whether he could survive in the capital if he wasn't crafty enough. His logical thinking can be quite chilling if you think about it, oh scratch that quite, he can be very heartless. Ah, that favorite chapter where everyone had different opinions regarding his decision. Hey, that actually reminds something. If you are someone who doesn't really like unrealistic romance where the ML could always save the FL, you may like this one.

I like the scene where he planned smuggling goods to the enemy and the scene where he had a war of words with Elder Li (and FL accidentally listened to them if I'm not wrong). It's interesting how in a barely stable country (the political climate could be quite not certain), the military party was looked down on. Why do I write barely stable? Because I think that it's clear for the people in the capital that the imperial power would change hands (after all, they did admit that no one dared to touch the Xi family). But hey, maybe it's just me being s*upid or anything, so take this review as a grain of salt.

Now, about the romance. What kind of romance is acceptable in your range? Do you like romantic couples? Well, this one has it. Do you like novels where ML and FL are equal? Well..... that depends on your acceptance tolerance (again). ML is smart, but FL is not so smart, she's dumb or s*upid, but she clearly couldn't match ML's intelligence. FL is definitely superior in strength and there's no way ML could beat her. So, if you like smart and strong couples, you need to weigh whether this novel is the right choice for you. But hey if you don't mind wasting some time I will definitely recommend you reading this.

The ending is definitely too rushed. Nope. Nothing can change my mind about this. It could've been better, I swear. The story could have a few chapters about the leads talking about their choices, opened up their hearts. Some real conversations. That conversation where FL was too lazy to say anything can not be counted. I actually think that we deserve more insights into ML's inner thoughts. It's sad that we can only get some glimpses of him regretting things. Also, I think FL's family let him off too easily. They should've questioned him real hard or attacked him better (with words).

Their romance is not everyone's cup of tea. You can see the negative reviews as a reference. Then what's the point of writing this, you ask? Well, I just wanna emphasize some points, lol. Different readers, different views. Different minds, different tastes. If you skip this novel, I hope that you'll find your taste soon <3 (trust me, I know the struggle of finding the right books)

If I'm allowed to compare this with its sister, Rebirth of a Fierce Wife, there are some different points indeed.

For characters, if you like the ML to have a strong presence of character, then UPX it is. RFW has this calm and gentle ML which might seem a little bit pale if compared with UPX's ML. But if you prefer a gentler and kinder ML, then RFW should be the one you try.

The chapters. It's a little bit weird to say this, but even though UPX may not be a good read, but it has lesser chapters than RFW. Thus, making it a better novel to waste your short break than RFW. But, if you aren't someone who is easily bored because of the number of chapters and you don't really like the ML from UPX, then choosing RFW would be wiser.

Romance. Some may prefer RFW because the ML there is better than UPX's. But both are fun in my opinion.

Ending. RFW's ending is well constructed, so much better than UPX's by five points. But the chapters' amount should be accounted for it too. A well-constructed ending and a huge amount of chapters to be finished. UPX has lesser chapters, but a rushed ending.

I'm quite fond of this story. The Female lead is a joy to have, carefree, yes she's s*upid but it mostly because her straightforward way of thinking clashed terribly with the ancient setting's elaborate and metaphoritical way of thinking. She fools around, yes but at least she could handle herself (though, I have to say she's too OP with her abilities). I always welcome carefree and light-hearted female leads, serious and vengeful female leads are getting boring.

The ML is quite good, he managed to stay within my 'tolerable' circle and... more>> never stepped out of it even though it seemed he stepped out of the FML's sometimes. But hey, he's still way better than generic overbearing male leads you'll find in a lot of chinese novels. I don't understand why some readers expressed their dislike on him? Maybe I haven't read that far enough.

Spoiler

He's a man from that precise timeline, a man who had lost near everything, a man who just learned his family's fall was tied to the very man whom his family sworn their lives and blood too. Some readers complained that he was going homicidal maniac by letting side-characters die for the sake to advance. Well? He had learned that no one cared enough about his wellbeing, why the hell he should care about some faceless people. He loved the FML, swore to treat her properly, what he did was also for the FML's sakes.

Can you imagine the late emperor which your beloved father and brother sworn their lives to turned out to sacrifice his generals to the enemy on purpose. For what? For a few years of truce. You think someone like him who had experienced all of that would be a virtuous and patient man? Of course he'll be ruthless and manipulative. The s*upid former emperor also didn't give him time to grieve his family properly.

He whose life had been manipulated would surely learn how to do so as well. What doesn't kill you make you stronger. His entire family had fallen under Grand Perceptor's manipulation and schemes, ofc he'll turn manipulative.

Yes, he let some servants died in his quest. But who in this setting could be innocent from that? Well, except for the FML. Bear in mind, the FML came from the apocalyptic world, she greatly treasured a life especially being able to talk to animals and all she treasured it even more. But the ML is a general, he went to wars, did you really think he'll bother to save some faceless servants from being mu*dered? Especially when that servant's death could give them a lot of benefits.

And come on, I also don't like that Empress' mama. She acted like her mistress' grievance is all FML's (who was officially a 'male' and married to her mistress) fault, when even the original Ning Yu wanted nothing to do with that girl (Ofc, the original was also a woman, ffs! She didn't ask to be wed to that cheater!). The Empress is practically on the lower rank in morale, because she cheated.

[collapse]

Now, the ML is not a yandere, but he's the type that will absolutely do nothing if someone (especially if that someone hated or possessed a threat to him and FML) was going to die. Which is refreshing, because he's a damn general.

I'm tired seeing inconsistency in male leads (and main characters in general) one moment, they're all like "BLOOD! KILL!" and on another moment "Fine, I'll let you go I guess, because I'm feeling generous" I'm especially tired seeing ruthless and bloody MLs having to dirty their hands to save someone that did not benefit them whatsoever, all because, idk, a moment of mercy and kindness? Bleh.

Edit: I take it back, he's kind of an a**hole. Currently hoping the FL would live on without him.

Second edit:

Spoiler

f*ck! She ended up with him! I thought I'll get an epic redemption episodes, but nooo four chapters and a lifetime (alright I might be overeacting) of grudge is cleared!?

All the characters are refreshing. I love the Dragon Guards, they're such a rowdy bunch under Ning Xiaoyao's wings. I love the animals, they all have their own personalities and did not just appear to be side characters that was so bland that I forgot about them altogether, and it's not even a try-hard. I remember every of their trait clearly as if they're humans. Black Tubby is a tsundere who got a massive crush on the ML, he likes the MC but scolded her all the same. The red horse, the mice, the magpies and their entire family, also Yellow immortal, the wolves. Everything is colourful.

It's a light read. You don't expect too-serious stuff and don't think about logic here. We're here to have fun.

The plot... hm, decent. The comedy certainly helped. It didn't feel repetitive, I won't guarantee that it has no repetition, but it doesn't feel heavily so. <<less

I liked this story. I found it funny. The MC with her violent tendencies and talking to animals. Her shadow guards. Her desire to immediately fix things or eat. I found her charming, if a little s*upid. But I suppose it does make sense. She came from a world where people weren't going to school and reading because they were busy fighting zombies and trying to survive. You trust the people around you because if you don't have someone watching your back, your screwed.

This obviously doesn't translate well in the... more>> complex politics of a royal family.

She has no idea about the customs, history or mind games needed to be Emperor. That is where the ML comes in. I can understand where some of the reviewers are coming from. He does tend to tell her what he thinks she should know, and not the whole situation. He feeds her lines and does most of the work the Emperor is supposed to do. However, I don't dislike him for it. She can't do the job and frankly, doesn't want to. The pressure. The inability to act on what she thinks is right. All the intrigue and conflict that happens in the story is just nonsense to her. She just wants to punish the bad guys. Help those that need it and eat lots of food. So, he does the twisted work and helps clean up after her while she runs around breaking things, talking to animals and eating. She isn't s*upid. It's just that her thinking and the general thinking of this place don't mesh well. Now, if her character was more devious or wanted power, than I would be annoyed at the ML, but since it doesn't, someone has to pick up the slack. I think her interactions with elder li are funny. I adore her shadow guards.
This story does feel a little draggy sometimes.

The last chapter feels super rushed. Like the author crammed atleast 3 chapters together. There are also some loose ends like what happened to elder Li, windy, the guards, the little siblings and the pan brothers.

The little bun is adorable.

When she took over the body, her genetically enhanced abilities came over. Not sure how, but just don't think about that. You just have to go into it thinking of it as a bit of slap stick comedy. So, if you want to turn off your brain and have a laugh, this has some good moments. If you want you intrigue and story to make complete sense, this probably isn't your cup of tea. <<less

Honestly, I love this novel. I love its quirky comedy and the funny antics of MC. Her powers and the way she fights. The interactions with the animals, the shadow guards, the bio family, her adopted kids, elder Li, Pei family, MC's interaction with almost everyone except ML.

I agree with some of the comments. What I disliked most about this is MC paid ALOT for the country and for the ML, and yet she as the a great emperor was dead in the eyes of many. Her comeback was only... more>> to become an empress, that looked like the previous emperor. What a joke. Its like writing a protagonist only to push her to be a supporting character at the end.

Truth be told, ML used her. The throne and power and all the decoration that comes with it is more important than MC. And she knew it. And I hate him (ML) for it. MC deserves someone better. He lied to her over and over again. He kept things from her. He didnt trust her, didnt believe in her. He manipulates her. I doubt if he really did love her. He just feels responsible at first. Then he feels she is a good ally and can be use. Later on, what? He left her hanging so he felt guilty. Everything is just gloss over by his so called love for MC. 😡 <<less
