2. Up until now (ch.28), there is no fighting scene. So, for you who like webnovel with a lot of 'battle between cultivator' scene, I think you have to wait a bit longer.
3. Don't expect a fast plot development. IT'S A SLICE OF LIFE (at least until ch.28) The interaction between characters is good enough, and so far, there is no unreasonable plot. The author tried to build clear personalities in every character with a very simple setting from the start. Nothing special for now, but if you ask me is this worth to read? I would say, yes.
- first of all, the novel is a slice of life, cultivation novel its about the MC who gets caught up in the dragon princess mistake and starts to cultivate pretty simple but there's more to it. The setting is based around the current times, where the dude attends uni, living normally and then suddenly gets engaged, this happens because the 'candy' is actually the girls dragon core, basically her life source, now he has to cultivate before she reaches a certain age before she dies, to save her he must dual cultivate with her periodicly when he reaches a high enough realm hence the engagement, I believe this should clear it up a bit on why he's suddenly engaged to a princess.
- Now alot of people hate the princess, and why? Cause she hates the guy she's suddenly being engaged to? Or maybe cause she's tsundere? Or just flat out straight forward, she's a 14 year old who suddenly told that she's engaged and her life is in his hands, he has to reach a level and dual cultivate in order to keep her alive, hence why they are getting married, at the start she hates him then starts warming up and her personality is changing as it goes and she's no longer that presumptuous brat, she learns to be considerate, smart and show some responsibility. If you don't like the princess he does have other wives, they are met early on and also go through there own changes and growth, the second female lead who was timid after being scolded by the princess for not trying to win him over starts to get serious and more confident, the third starts of cold and only helps the MC train because she owes a favour to the dragon family, she starts trusting the MC and opening up to his family and the others around him.
- I also read that the 3rd uncle can't keep his mouth shut to the mc? Like he also rejects the idea of a sudden engagement for his niece, he spoils her the most and overprotective the kid, every meeting he hands hundreds of yuan to her, and the MC he meets he badmouths, touch her ill kill you, treat her wrong ill kill you, hurry up in cultivating or ill kill you? Sounds like my ex's dad to me, just protective, the uncle then on there 3rd or so meeting goes to there room where the princess is being tutored, and he agrees that she needs it, he's not bad, he has her best interest in mind especially when he finds out the MC is working hard at cultivating and even gets a close relationship with him, as for him failing the lightning tribulation? If you've read the novel you'd know that it was the heavens test, no matter how much he badmouths the MC, he still takes him to drink and gives his all to use his own experience to teach him. He's aiming for the top and wanted to test out the MC in an all out fight after the uncle started recultivating, he's a maniac who wants to reach the top, and the MC chose to harm himself because he also wanted to prove his worth.
The novels not lord of the mysteries so don't be expecting every word to connect together, its light-hearted mixed with some serious, the romance builds itself up from the beginning to the end, the cultivation is family solid, easy to explain, there's very few face slapping young masters, and the fights that do happen don't seem random, for example, the only fight in the first... more>>
