This book having a lot of tournaments is true, but I don't know what the main character should do in a world where only the people who join sects or are in clans thrive. The rogue cultivators die out very quickly and becoming a genius in a sect/clan is the best survival option. Cultivation is a long process and there are only a few ways to speed it up. Yi Yun, since chapter 1, has always fought enemies MUCH MUCH higher ranked/leveled than him. The novel continues this trend and... more>> if Yi Yun wants to keep this up, he has to surpass every single genius EVER.

Even though there are a lot of tournaments, the fight scenes are very detailed and when you read it, you feel that Yi Yun is a unique existence in the cultivation world. Not because he's from Earth, but because of how carefree he is.

Some plot:

Spoiler

There's not much character development. After he gets separated with his wife, reuniting with her isn't his goal. His goal is to survive and what a better way to survive than crush your enemies? He doesn't clench his fists and swear to reunite with his wife and that's what I like.

[collapse]

The MC:

Spoiler

The best thing about the MC is his dao comprehension. As of chapter 1659, the MC Yi Yun, probably has the strongest foundation possible. He has perfect 9-leaf dao fruits for yin yang, space time, sword saber, and chaos destruction. A perfect dao palace. A Great World Creation Tree growing inside his body. A Purple Crystal that can absorb ANY type of energy and turn it to cultivation qi for him. A cultivation manual that makes his body as strong as a Dragon. After reaching Divine Lord, his first Royal Seal is condensed from a Heavenly Dao Fragment, which makes him the first person to do so, ever. His second Royal Seal is condensed from combining three of his bloodlines: Dragon Emperor, Celestial, Fey, and Human. With only being a first Royal Seal Divine Lord, he could severely injure and possibly kill lower-high ranked Godly Monarchs. With the first and second Royal Seal, he can probably fight higher-low ranked Godly Monarchs.

The annoying thing is even with all of this, the author keeps making his foundation stronger and it becomes so strong it takes him sh** ton of resources to rank up.

Some powers get forgotten, but might be brought back. He has a Nine Neontate and Golden Crow, but they are forgotten.

The enemies at the beginning suck, but Yi Yun almost loses his life many times later in the novel because of a few. This changes after he gets 10, 000 Demon Wheel of Existence. His best feat so far is fighting 3 Godly Monarchs simultaneously, severely injuring 2 and wasting the cultivation of the other.

[collapse]

The author seems to read the comments because he really sped up the plot after so much complaining at like 1550 chapter. <<less

First of all it's filled with filers it gets boring as the story moves on, the charachters are bland no taste the same basicaly you'll meet the great cultivator, the clan or sect that will get anhiliated, the young master that will be killed or surpassed or slaped, every charachter must challenge the MC, every charachter scofs at him then gets amazed by him ''disbelief'' then there's the sighing you know, and there's those moments of ; how did you get this item ot comprehend this law this power ??....... more>> you are actually this young?!! and that sh*t at the end where the MC is about to die he gets transported

the whole novel didn't steer in me a single emotion but derision on how the author fails at writing emotional scenes

f*cking unreasonable chrachters the MC gets arroganat and the girls oh the girls :'' one single mold ''

so I will say this there's no single amazing thing about this novel, you can read it to pass the time

bellow average. <<less

This novel was good at first, but like every Wuxia novels it lost it's full potential with the MC saving a girl every single time, he had no brother, all the males are antagonists for He is a hero.

The power system is crappy, how can a supremacy realm battle against a divine lord with royal seal ? That's really nonsense. And the story is really predictable, so much that when I am reading I slept without knowing.

I will not lie about my opinion If I have to say, I would... more>> read it when I'm in the bathroom. <<less

As far as cc novels goes this one is very similar to MW although not as good. The fact that this one is on qidian's website and is pay to read for the latest chapters makes it worse. Other than those facts lets look at the actual novel. As far as comparing it to martial world goes it's mediocre. This is a good webnovel although it does lose out to mw at a couple of serious points. Around chapter 200 it starts to get a bit longwinded and also starts... more>> to lose a bit of momentum because of the fact that it seriously detracts from its own credibility by knocking on its own ideas. IE: acting like some city that has been around for 100 million years gets bulldozed by a beast tide like its nothing, and then continuing this trend throughout the story. Also this novel suffers from a major case of overembellishing meaning the author tends to overexplain himself and his ideas at least as many times as the years he's trying to tell you are passing throughout the novel. This novel isn't bad so much as the author is horrible at writing and keeping his ideas from translating into a hugely padded word count that doesn't matter whatsoever because he wants to make more Renminbi off of more word count. In my opinion skip 2 out of 3 paragraphs/sentences and you'll be ok otherwise punish yourself with cc's ridiculous ret*rdedly padded paragraphs and actually read the whole novel which will be painful but possibly rewarding because he could be a decent writer if it wasn't Renminbi controlling every decision he/CC makes. Since I can't change my rating I'm going to go ahead and rate this one 2/5 stars here because it sucks more than I origionally thought. Don't read this novel unless you're looking for a serious disappointment. <<less

I'm disappointed. I thought this would be good and there are good parts but the bad just overwhelms this. Martial World was great. I really wanted this to be just as good but it wasn't. "Courting death!" Get used to this phrase because you are going to see it a lot. Seriously how hard is it to change this phrase into something else? "Prepare to die!" or "I will kill you!" It started great. It was like the MC was on hard or hell mode. So many things could or... more>> tried to kill him. But what really killed this novel for me was that everything he achieved came from his cheat. His cheat is just so overused! Oh I have a weak body but there is nothing I can do about it because my cheat doesn't help with that. Seriously? All of his skills and OP moves come from what other people have created. The first time I noticed him creating something new was after chapter 700. Do yourself a favor and read Martial World instead. <<less

I really enjoy this series. The characters have sufficient development, the story is progressive and not lagging for chapters on end in the same arc. It's diverse in content however doesn't neglect to revisit old characters/subplots. The protagonist is powerful yet also flawed and striving to better himself, not giving into arrogance or ignorance due to overestimation his power level. Frequent updates, most days, sometimes several times a day. All in all, a good book. If I had any complaints, it'd be that the protagonist's original concept (crossed over from... more>> a different world) is lost after the first few chapters. Finding a way to incorporate this concept later in the novel could bring this already great novel to another level. <<less

I'll start with why I loved this novel. Yes, LOVED.

The beginning of the story has very good premises. An MC that has a weak body but has a good heart and loves his only family, his sister, when he got transmigrated. To me, that is important. He then strived to be strong, became a cultivator that shocked people time and time again, and he isn't overly arrogant. He is only arrogant when he needs to.

Another plus for me is Lin Xintong. She was propped up as his partner and she... more>> was developed well.... A good romance is also very important since these kinds of authors tend to just brush it aside afterwards.

And another point is, the translations are really good! With fast releases!

I keep on looking forward to the updates of this novel before.

But, Then came the repetition.

Okay, even if the author repeats things over and over and over emphasizes the reaction of people which consists of a couple of chapters (in other words, dragging it too much to the point that it will vex your patience), I hang in there reading it for the love of the novel. But yeah, it got old. I stopped reading it when, again, the author repeated another plot. Throwing Yi Yun from place to place. My gosh author! Stop it! You keep on throwing him from one space to another without even solving first the issues caused by the first wave! Augh!
Spoiler

You haven't solved the disappearance of LXT! You separated them and now you separated YY from his master and they even haven't had a proper long discussion at the very least!

[collapse]

What also made me lose attention is that,
Spoiler

Yi Yun seems to take for granted LXT. Not sure if the author forgot but the author made it worse by throwing FMC material here and there at Yi Yun. It wouldn't taste good to me if this ever becomes a harem just because an fMC material sprouted like mushroom here and there.

[collapse]

And also, the longer I read, the more lost I am with where the author is leading me to.

For now, I am putting this novel down. I might pick this up again once there is improvement. Or when I'm bored. <<less

I like the story, I genuinely do. There is (at the moment) 2 things that I have a problem with. First, it is a reincarnated/teleport to a different world story. I don't hate these kind of stories, however, I don't see the point of this story being one. I'm currently on chapter 551, and the MC's past life still don't have a direct effect on the story. The only effect it have so far is the MC picking up the purple crystal at the very beginning and then get teleport... more>> to a different world, which the author can come up with a completely different concept for and the story would still be the same. Maybe the author will come back to it in the future, but at 500+ chapters, you would have expected that it was already been explained.

Second, the MC's age. When the MC enter the new world, he was probably 6-8 years old. From the beginning to MC leaving the kingdom, which cover 372 chapters, the MC was still basically a kid. His teen years started after chapter 372 and last until chapter 544, in which a time jump finally happen and the MC instantly gain 5 years to his age, putting him at 21 and beginning his young adult years. I'm not saying that I don't want the author to focus on the MC teen year, I just expected that the MC would have already enter his young adult year around the 250-300 chapters.

All in all, I still enjoy this story a lot. <<less

TMW is truly much better than MW (Martial World), but if seen in another point-of-view TMW is indeed just above average. Though I can't really deny that I like the first part where he was a wilderness village boy, and a boy who enters the military (Tai Ah thingy) which is slightly more unique than anything ive read. But The way I like it decrease when TMW writing is slowly changing. Ex.
•He used to be a silent yet cool. But as time pass he turn into a blabber mouth
•TMW is slightly turning into MW
•Where are the fighting Scenes!
•and many wasted chapter such as a chapter only for reaction, for cursing, for explanation which sucks and obvious that the author is only doing this for the sake of lengthing it.

Anyway overall it was 3/5, although my comment sucks and full of criticism, I can't deny that I still read the story and it was really indeed addicting.

This is pretty good stuff. It doesn't have a typical OP or weak protagonist. The pacing is a bit slow and the constant cliffhangers are a bit annoying but It definitely pays off because of the good character development and the world building is flushed out quite well.

Far and away one of my favorite series. Unique cultivation and likable characters. With it being a transmigration story I wish that aspect played a little more of a role in the story, but that's really the only complaint I have towards the story.

Some people complain about the pacing, but this issue only really arises when considered from a chapter to chapter standpoint. The story as a whole flows nicely and the author brings forth a lot of elements unique from other xianxia novels. The author has also done a... more>> fantastic job of hinting at just how vast the Martial World he's created is.

All in all, a fantastic read and the translator does a great job of keeping up religiously with the author and even lowering his translation fees to support the original author. One of my favorite series and I look forward to it on a daily basis. <<less

This is a pretty good read. Only problem I have with the novel is that the author really drags things out. For things that can usually be ended with 4 chapters the author makes it 15. I just it would be more direct instead of the usual somewhat pointless details of character we aren’t ever going to see again later on.

One of the Best freakin’ story I have read so far, balance of politics, cultivation, sarcastic comments, comedy, good description of powers, well- developed world. Will take some time to understand the whole concept but you will get there, and it will be good.

Great story, the beginning was the best for me. People say it was slow but I say the speed was well paced, some characters were interesting and I liked them but I don't think they were mentioned again after the arc they were important in ends which is a little sad or I just forgot their names when they did make another appearance, could be the latter since I am not great with names. I don't really like how Lin Xintong ended up though, she used to act prideful and... more>> cool yet kind but then around where I am, to me, she just starts to follow Yi Yun and it feels like she lost a little depth into her character. Though aside from that and some other minor things I still like this novel so it will get a 3.5/5 from me or round up to 4.

Edit: 2, that's the number of arcs I enjoyed reading in this entire novel. Those two arcs were the school arc where Yi Yun was in the Tai Ah Divine City, that entire arc from when he went there, to when he explored the yang palace and finally to the tournament, I enjoyed it. It was fun reading about him struggling him competing, it was fun in general. Then the second arc I liked was when he went to the 10, 000 Fey Empyrean Heaven. I liked this arc because we are reunited with my all time favorite character who I think deserves to be the heroine, Luo Huo'er. That's pretty much why I liked the 10, 000 Fey Empyrean Heaven arc, story-wise it was quite bland. The reason I like Luo Huo'er more than Lin Xintong is that I want my MC to have a partner, someone who is his equal, who won't hesitate to tell him he's an idiot for doing something s*upid, I don't want a dog that only follows him 3 steps behind just because she wanted to be like her predecessor. Even if she was gonna be like that, at least give us a reason for us to like her. She just kinda was there and got into a relationship with Yi Yun because they could cultivate together. Rating for this novel for me dropped by 2 stars, so now it's a 2 but because I like Luo Huo'er it rose by one, <<less

The story started slow, but as the story progresses it gets better and better. I suggest to everyone that you finish first the first arc where he leaves the initial place where he lived to get a summary of the world and the flow of the story before deciding whether to continue reading or not

I gave this novel a 5/5 because it kinda lets go of the usual tropes and innovates by having the enemies realizing how awesome yi yun is and acknowledging their own inferiority, not having the usual "u beat me so my uber strong senior is gonna rek u" sh*t we get in other xianxia, and the ones that do it are only there to get bricked for comic relief.

We have a xianxia about a random guy that gets transported/reincarnated into another world where the strong rule, and, faced with the... more>> injustice the weak have to suffer, decides to get stronger with the help of a cheat item (which has its limitations), gets strong as hell (not OP, as there are a lot of people who can beat him) but never becomes arrogant or genocidal because of his memories of another world which actually impact him (and don't become obsolete after 3 chapters like virtually every other xianxia out there). Great novel, highly recommended. <<less

Currently my favorite novel to read. The novel does start a bit slow but picks up later when MC leaves his village. The MC is not arrogant and does not make s*upid decisions. The MC is very low key but at the same time very OP. He's so badass when he reveals his OPness.

Really nice Story and one of the best in the Moment, especially as the Translator is awesome and caught up to the Author, so now we get the Chapters only a few hours after they are Released by the Author.

Now to the Story, the MC is intelligent for onnce and is not an arrogant Twat, which for me is a big Bonus. The Storyline also flows quiete well and pulls you in depper.

While I personally did not like the last Arc (which was just so common and typical Xianxia) it... more>> is no reason not to like this Story, so I would recomment everyone to at least check it out. <<less
