Translation quality is ok, you just need to read carefully.

The story seems like a typical reincarnation Japanese novel, no goals, just living in the world and getting by. The cool thing is that the mc's race is a doppelgänger his skills are really interesting.

my problem with the MC so far is that he doesn't really use his brain.

It's a humans vs every other sentient race in the world labeled as "demi-humans"

Both sides are racist because of how long the war has been going on, but it's still disgusting racism.

Spoiler

Also, Ren and Yaza are from Earth and yet they're both not against s*avery because "it is how the world works".... WHAT?! r*pe is also something that happens in that world, so it's okay? We'll just say "because it is how the world works"? Does the gate to the other world filter out moral standards?

[collapse]

There are many small faults in this story, too many in fact.

The only good thing about this story is it's premise of a non-human protagonist but I'm biased since that's one of my favorite tags. <<less

Overall this is a decent novel at best, the translations are very sloppy and it feels the same reading the raw with google translate on. Chapters are also getting shorter and shorter.

If you guys are looking for a constant OP MC this is not for you, even though the MC is OP he is slowly being developed with the story as it progresses allowing more depth to the character.

There are a lot of predictable scenes making some of this story cliche which I personally do not like. It also lacks... more>> in the character development for side characters which makes some of the story hard to process as you're only really seeing one side of it.

Spoiler

It is so s*upid how he met his girlfriend in a dungeon and she tried to mug him at the start of the novel, not only was it predictable but it feels like she's worsening the story do to her boring character. Also her committing su*cide over a one week relationship seems a bit melodramatic.

[collapse]

I find the purpose and general feel of the story very slow, almost like a slice of life to me. If you like to avoid amateur (At least) novels this would be one to avoid, there are many key points being avoided to further the plot of the story which I find upsetting and some that were a rule at the beginning but discarded.
Spoiler

If demi-humans and demons can view statistics, how is Ren's s*ave just finding out that he's a doppelganger.

[collapse]

This retrospect is being very biased towards disliking the novel, but when people read a review the want to usually know most of the bad things about it. I do enjoy this novel and am going to continue reading it but there's a lot of areas in this novel that seem unfinished and that's why it lacks a star.

The good things are that the story is progressing at a good pace, allowing the reader to easily follow the events instead of time jumping, the plot is also being followed respectively with some side/odd things throughout the story to add a bit calmness to the story. There is also not a lot of misdirection with this novel.

If you don't like, side characters having no personality and slow progressing novels this is definitely not for you. <<less

This story is really sloppy, really now, I want to smash the author in the head to make his head clear of what he is doing, really? The development and thought process of the MC is abnormal, no reason is enough to justify it, the MC is so awkward that it's really obvious that the story is so rigid and obviously scripted, no sense of possibilities and freedom, jeez, well, if you haven't read a decent story then this will be good for you as you're standard isn't established yet... more>> and you won't get affected by the loser aura of this novel XD!

I think this is the first time I've posted a negative review, guess it's my fault for enduring reading it for quite some chapters.

--- I recommend others that have set standards to not even try reading this as it will damage you. <<less

the story is about average IMO. However the translation is hard on me because of the grammar. The sentence structure and flow is all over the place because of the translators limitations in english, as can be seen from their other writing, not just the story translation.

the story is translated to the best of their ability so far, but I do wish there was an additional person on the team with a stronger foundation and fluency in english to finetune and put a gloss finish to the series.

so far, this... more>> story is NOT a gender bender in any way that matters despite being a doppelganger. The MC remains male and seems to have no intentions on changing that. The only time he has used his ability so far to take a female form, wasn't even done by his main or 1st multi-clone, but instead by a temp-clone. <<less

Tje entire setting is sloppily set up with kingdom, heros and Demon lords too uniform.

Completely unmentioned skills gains of the MC and a very limited feel to the entire world.

All in all it just feels sloppy.

The first chapters were okay, and as you read further, the story begins to deepen.

The MC Ren is indeed living as he wants, but his main objective should be "to survive".

The thing I am worried about is; if he kills a god, he would be able to get 80% of the powers of an average god.... may no god descend upon that world.

So yeah, Ren is slowly getting more OP, but as of Chapter 32, he is at a moment where he can lose, but only if he fights against... more>> multiple people of a Demon General Rank. So... either a Demon Lord or a Hero perhaps.

The Demon Lords (two as of yet) currently favour Ren as he doesn't kill Demi-Humans but just Humans. Ren kills for the Shopping Points which he can use to get stronger.

The problem is; I don't know how much SP he will get after massacring cities. I am at a point where I think that he can become a Demon Lord after merely destroying three cities. <<less

The one good thing about the novel is it's semi-interesting premise. It's an extrememly standard monster reincarnation story with the main character being a doppelgänger.

Honestly it's a little infuriating how badly the novel was delivered. For one thing, the main characters isn't that bright. His idiocy is what causes some of the driving events of the plot to occur, but that makes for an irregular and forceful flow in the story. The other characters are also far too basic and uninteresting. The pacing is strange, and many sections are unclear.

I'm... more>> interested in the story, but the delivery is so bad that I can't continue. Not that it matters, since the novel was dropped in its COO anyways <<less

This is bad, I mean really bad. Even looking past the bad grammar. It's just such a dumb story.

It sucks cause there is something of interest here. Just so poorly done. The MC is an utter idiot of one of the highest kinds. From having no personality all the way to revealing the truth that there is a Doppelganger in the area. It sucks cause this story has probably been on my "To read" List for probably over a year. But I ended up dropping this in chapter 18.

The MC... more>> besides being an idiot with no personality. He for whatever reason had a massive personality change out of nowhere and turned from a Blank Slate all the way to needlessly evil Blank Slate. It's so jarring. His goal of killing a god and becoming a god is dumb. I always hate stories where you can kill gods and this just makes me hate these stories all the more.

There is some god awful banter in this. If I had to pick three characters I liked. Then it would be the bandit girl that first attacked the MC, Marry that was killed off just for plot convenience and Gui, Something Akin to an AI and somehow manages to have more of a personality than the MC.

Going onto the grammar, I can normally stand bad grammar. But when the grammar starts confusing you about whats happening in stories, Then you have a problem.

Finally, This story has a weird obsession with "Si Pitung" It's weird cause all that happens is that the MC transforms into whoever. But somehow he has all the combat knowledge and skills. This story also seems to have a weird kind of atmosphere. When I read a Japanese or Korean Light Novel, Hell, Even Chinese sometimes. I don't get this bearing down feeling of them constantly mentioning the culture. Seems to be here a lot. It might just be me though. <<less

The translation for this series is terrible, wait until there's a better one out or don't bother. It's not on the level of "Oh I can just ignore and reformat in my head" this is to the point where you have to reread the same sentence 3+ times to understand what's being written. The explanation of why his level was higher when he transformed into a Goblin than when he wasn't transformed was poorly explained and seemed to contradict itself.

The series has potential to be enjoyable, but it's not really... more>> a unique idea- the MC is basically identical to Slime Datta Ken (without the cool personality), but instead of killing and absorbing the enemy, he just kills it. <<less
