I took all the other reviewers advice and stopped reading at a certain point: after the Demon Lord met the main character. And I have to say, I really enjoyed the story. I found the main character to be funny, the plot to be a little out there but still enjoyable, and the main character to be just overpowered enough to still make the fights interesting. The main problem I have is just that most of the side characters end up falling to the wayside. Characters you think are really... more>> important or have an important relationship with MC end up being written off later, and they mostly disappear. The point where I initially stopped reading was about at chapter 110, but later on I did read a few chapters passed that and the epilogue as well. Honestly, I wish I hadn't. I found it to be really out there, and a little boring--which is also how I would describe the Demon Lord. Overall though, up until that one dramatic change, loved it. <<less

I have read a lot of light novels of different kinds and then I read this and even though it has ended a long time ago this is one of the best light novels and translations I have ever read and seen.

- Amazing plot

-Great pacing even if it is only 120 chapters long

-Makes you wish there was more but at the same time the ending makes you happy it ended as it did

Such a great light novel and I recommend it to anyone who has not read this before.

  • Translated well, although it's hard to tell who was speaking at times.
  • Deserves some illustrations for people described with transcendental beauty.
  • Ending was rushed. Don't know what else to say. Could be much better.
  • A lot of plot points and characters were brought up only to be never mentioned again.
    Spoiler

The fact that the General Administrator and the God of War mentioned at the beginning never showed up again was really disappointing.

  • I felt like it really is a shame such an interesting concept ended like this.
  • Just read without any expectations.
  • It made me want to study up on history whenever the MC referenced her previous life's knowledge.

This series is okay. It has an interesting premise and great potential, but from what I've read so far, the chapters are somewhat sloppily written without deeper thought given to things, and the quality of the translation also leaves much to be desired. I can tell the translator is not a native english speaker, but the bigger issue is that the translator downright gets many things plain wrong. I read novels ENG + JP side by side since I can understand japanese, but Im finding many differences in the meanings... more>> between the JP and the english translation.

The author's lack of expansion and explanation at critical phases of the MC's life after major changes makes little to no sense. Many missed opportunities to explain and expand things.

Overall its interesting enough to continue reading for the time being. But the translation errors and the sloppy writing (author's fault) is disappointing. <<less

I loved it but I didn't have an accout at the time so I don't remember much detail. Just that I really ship the MC and main FL so much and that I really loved reading it at that time that I reread it again.

Does this WN deserve 5 stars? If you're looking at it objectively - definitely not. Many things could've been done better. The final parts as other people mentioned already feel really rushed. Why then am I giving it a high score? It's simple - because I personally liked it very, very much despite its many shortcomings. Especially the bittersweet epilogue - it's really good, wraps up the whole thing extremely well. Sadly there is zero information about side characters. Anyway, I had a lot of fun reading that despite translation... more>> being somewhat wonky at times. Do I recommend it? If you like the genre then definitely go for it. It's not the best but it's worth reading till the end - you can always drop it, right? <<less

Dragon's Bloodline is a pretty good novel (for me). It started as a good story about adventure of our MC with her companions. Then it went into a bigger scale that involves the worlds and dragon gods. Now if you look at the number of chapter (121) it is really short for this kind of development or setting and yeah it is.

The storytelling became more focus on the preparation and the execution of the main developments became short (1 chapter). The narration of some events are somehow shortened into 1-3... more>> sentences.

Bad things aside, the reason why I rated Dragon's Bloodline high is because I found it enjoyable, yea it is fast paced because of the number of chapters, but I can't deny the truth that the development is really interesting same with the epilogue. In short I felt what the story wants to show, I really enjoy it.

That's why for those who are looking for short fast-paced fantasy novel to finish I recommend this one. Though it's not the same quality as those chinese or korean ones with the same setting, read it and see by yourself. <<less

TBH if you like the sort of content described by the tags, you will enjoy most of it, with the exception being a certain event where the author kinda pushed things and some people way over-reacted, and the ending being totally unsatisfying, in my opinion it was still worth reading. If you like Katanas at all, just read it, the blatant katana worship is practically part of the story, and somewhat interesting if annoying to european sword lovers. So all in all, looking at the actual content, it's average, it... more>> wasn't amazing despite it's flaws, but it was practically written for me so I loved every bit except the ending which felt rushed, depressing, and an attempt by the author to subtlety stick real-life political opinions about the environment that ended up reminding us about how we're practically doomed. But don't worry, space exploration and life extension research has come pretty far this decade so I reckon anyone that isn't suicidal will be fine.

It was fine, but well, there are better series out there. The story progresses quite fast but sometimes lacks detail. Other characters just become names and become quickly forgotten. The progression of the story is so linear that having that OP of an MC makes if feel so darn boring. Maybe this is only the case if you've read many other novels of the same genre. So if you're new the genre you might as well try this out. The development of Ria's wives were nice though so yeah, this... more>> is quite decent. Not planning to finish it though I feel like it's a waste of time at this point <<less
