This is turning out to be a really good story the leveling and explanations will be something that happen later in the novel. The premise is good and he being so dumb in the beginning and getting his intelligence up was great, he is still clueless about love interests, which is a great comedic change, so far loving this in the first 11 chapters.

This is rare, for me to review something that has not reached c100 or so.

if I have something to say about this, is the fact that...

THIS IS AMAZING. I have read Everyone Else is Returnee, Praise The Orc, The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, Against The God, True Martial World, Absolute Choice, and other godly K-Novel, C-Novel, and J-Novel.

and this is one of them. a story that sounds really boring and bland. at first, I was like "well, it does pass. can read it for wasting time." and then after going to... more>> chapter 6 I was like, "OK, this is another novel at the Returnee level."

this is so fun. the world building and world history is not godly like other wuxia novel. but the story plor and story flow are just sooo interesting.

if you enjoy a story about one person embark on a journey of his life, this is the one for you.

7/10 from me, a strict reviewer. <<less

This is honestly one of the best written KN. I don't know why people give it such low rating and yet give books like solo leveling a higher hype. The world is well structured, the powers are properly developed, there's the variable element due to ordinary characters gaining different super powers and there's something to actually fight towards. It follows the usual dungeon trope but I still think it's not only a great concept but also a well written one.

Ugh another one. As expected of toika. All the novels are all bland and filled with h**ny girls. Imagine 90% of the characters are girls and all of them except his mother wants a piece of the MC's meat, they all suddenly chase after the MC. MC is breathing out aphrodisiac. If I remember there's only 2 male characters appeared in the 30 chapters. Good gracious!

Let's also not forget the power creep where it's raining blessing for the MC. Set backs are not in toika's vocabulary if there are one... more>> then it's actually a blessing in disguise for the MC.

I read many Toika novels but I have 100% rate of dropping it.

Toika novels is the type of novel that always have an interesting concept that's why I'm always fooled into starting reading them, but none of them made me read it 'til the end.

I was fooled yet again : ( <<less

Novel is a mix of Dense Harem MC and Arrogant Young Master MC

dont mind Harems that much, plenty of novels I like have them, its when the there are 2 Consenting Happy People that love each other and then there's a bunch of Scum that force themselves in the relationship, and everyone around them is just like "Just Accept Them" - "I Like Her When Are You Marring Her" and shit, the Girls are basically Young Masters "How Dare The Jade Beauty Not f*cking Love Me! I'll Force Myself On... more>> Them! And Its Fine Because Everyone LOVES ME!!!"

Like most of Toika novels, The Women Are tr*sh/Annoying/Harassers...

Besides 1-3 but there is so many of them that you don't really pay attention to them because they are minor characters

Almost every single Harem women in this ignores the MCs own feelings, even when he makes it Crystal Clear That He Only Loves One ONE Of The Women

action is pretty much generic retorts and "HUAP" - "HUAA" - "ACK" - "SUAP"

Another annoying thing is the MC with his Luck Halo gets everything handed to him as in - Items, Skills, Hero Class Power, Women, Men and everything else

Then The MC Has The Audacity To Call Bullsh*t On People That Call Him Out On All Of His Strength That Comes From Said Items ect, Saying That He Is Strong Because He "Tries Hard", Not Like These People Have Been Training For Decades And Watched Their Entire Worlds Collapse Or Anything, Just Weak Willed People That Didn't Get Everything Handed To Them From Birth, Such Weak Ants, is that right? Sir Arrogant Rich Powerful Young Master?

Classic Annoying Child is Korean novels, Kills tons of people and MC is just like "Not Your Fault" if someone accidently kills someone they are still guilty

does classic Mommy Daddy stuff, tries to force them together even though MC doesn't like them until the last 10 chapters

not sure if its important but

there are 2 Gay women who are portrayed... Poorly, which sadly seems normal for Asian novels, Unless you count the BL and GL novels

Spoiler

they both are killed anyway

Novel started off good, with somewhat of a good world setting then it just falls about 50 chapters in or so. You have girls falling in love with MC randomly left and right without much interaction other than the fact he is op and is an unsociable fool. Then you have MC climbing the so called hard tough 1st dungeon without any problems after he clears 5th floor, theres no tension, no character development past when the MC passes the 5th floor. All in all this turned downhill quick and... more>> I dont even know why I read till where I did. <<less

Overall a simple an enjoyable read.

MC is not perfect, and grows, but the development comes suddenly with not much foreshadowing.

If you can ignore Hypocritical MC, then this novel is quite enjoyable.

Turns out, there is a reason why girls fall for MC easily.

Spoiler

MC is Earth's Hero, and thus his charm rises quickly to draw in more supports.

[collapse]

Also, MC is not dense when it comes to girls liking him, but merely feigning ignorance.

The MC/Author is also quite Anti-China in this (and being a hypocrite), for example when China does something, MC will always complain/accuse, whether it is good or bad. But when other countries do stuff, it's just glossed over.

Spoiler

For Example, When Raid Dungeons appeared on Earth, MC and the other Dungeon Explorers decided to enter the Korean Raid Dungeon, KNOWING full well that a RAID BOSS might appear outside in the city upon completion.

They did not inform any of the local government/authority to prepare for worst case scenario or to prevent collateral damage, luckily no raid boss appeared.

Later on when China completed all 5 of their dungeons, 2 RAID BOSSES appeared, MC immediately accuses China of being GREEDY (even when they prepared guardians and ability users outside (UNLIKE MC and party) who did not prepare anything).

Later on, when the rest of the untouched Dungeons in the world EXPLODED into Field Dungeons, MC happily commented that they did good by clearing the Korean Dungeon, but IGNORED that China also cleared 5 of their dungeons).

Started off ok.

Of course there is the blatant lie in chapter 101

Author’s Note:

I’ll say it now. Siren Plene isn’t a harem member. She’s just a slightly important support character! I mean, ICDS isn’t harem in the first place!

[collapse]

Because it very much became an extremely cringy awful harem.

Only read this if you want to read about an utterly s*upid moron has a bunch of random women suddenly fall for him to the point of stalking. (At some point you really really wish that the women would just literally grab onto a limb/appendage and pull him apart, thereby putting him out of our misery!) <<less

Disappointed

The author is the one who wrote "Stop Friendly Fire!" So I thought about giving this one a try. I deeply regret doing that.

There's no tension, no character development, horrible jokes (it's so repetitive) and don't even get me started on the "harem". The plot is not only overused, it's cheap and the writing makes you feel like you're reading a FanFic.

This novel is that kind of novel that you drop and feel bad about wasting your time on something so unprofessional and poorly written.

Only for entertainment, those who look for logic and literature please look elsewhere

Pretty good for a relaxing novel, it's quite shallow but that's it, who need a deep and complex story for entertainment ? This is only a read-it-once-then-forget-it story, what's the point of other demands beside a simple and relaxing traits ??

It starts out quite good but end up... not that good anymore? 1st half 4.9 stars, later half 4 stars, overall 4.4 stars

The MC is a trained from an young age by his battle maniac father.

He gets strong and keeps at it by constantly fighting in the dungeon. As expected, it also means he's socially dead. By the time he reaches college, girls throw themselves at him yet he's so dense, he might as well have a visible event horizon.

This story has one of the greatest endings I have ever seen. It is not too fluffy, not expected, and adds a perfect plot twist. Could have had an addendum for fanservice but didn't. Finish this story if you really want to see its worth.

Well, I was coming here expecting another EER, but ICDS is not on the same level.

Overall, it's worse than EER, the story is bland, the MC is not well developed, the fighting gets repetitive. For a 350-ish chapters, it's not that great to have such repetitiveness.

Well, it's readable though, so I give it 3 stars, but you won't be missing much if you don't read this, read EER instead

This was a nice popcorn experience for me, Although I thought it was a little bit tr*shy at points I still loved it, A lot of people didn't really like that the MC was so dense at the start but I just found it humorous so maybe that's just me, I did like the very pronounced changes in the MC from the start to the end, from being s*upid and straightforward at the start to very calculating and ruthless at the end made me really like the ending as a... more>> whole.

Another thing a lot of people don't seem to like is the ending, saying it was out of place and rushed but I couldn't disagree more, the ending was easily my favorite part, Learning how everything came together and explaining a few things that needed explaining.

I wasn't that fond of the early stages of the novel finding them a bit boring, that's it I just didn't like them, but from around the time when world enemies started appearing and onward I started to really enjoy it, the fact that until now he didn't need to fear death and no matter what he did there wouldn't be a consequence to suddenly being pitted against an impossibly strong enemy where he can and will die if he fails raises the tension a couple bars and makes ascending the dungeon go beyond just trying to get stronger for the sake of it.

I'm not a fan of harem by any stretch but I could overlook it for this novel because it was related to the character progression, I found most characters to be pretty simple but almost all were quite enjoyable and funny, my overall experience with this novel was that it was adequate in most regards so by that standard it should only get a 3 but I think that I enjoyed it enough that I would rate it a 5, so I'm just not going to rate it, strong recommendation to read this if you are looking for a good time and don't really want to force yourself to read something. <<less

Well it began good with naive MC n all but further down the story it becomes kind of dull

Things happens author doesn't explain how or why n next chapter the explanation are given later but it kind of kills it for me

The harem is good but their personalities aren't detailed much. Female MC are all shown as fools no romance at all

The ending is rushed it feels like "that's it!" And Fu*king plot twists at end are kind of sh*t no post story or anything else

Just finished this novel. I really enjoyed it. There were a couple rocky patches but for the most part, it was a pretty solid adventure story. Lots of action, cool powers, and an interesting plot. My one real complaint would have to be the plot twists near the end. They were great as they were revealed, but in order to keep them surprising the author had to keep secrets. The story is a first-person narrative, so it's kind of jarring when the MC starts keeping secrets from the reader. I... more>> feel that a better author could have kept the fun reveals without doing the weird secrets. But I understand that some people might not care or might even see it as a plus.

Anyway, I recommend this story if you're looking for some cool monster killing with an interesting plot. Also the hero wields a spear. It doesn't really make any difference but I am still happy to see something other than the usual choice of sword, magic, or martial arts. <<less

i really like summoning and taming kind of story, and the next kind of story that I also like is dungeon based story. This novel have all of them but sadly the romance aspect in this novel is a let down. But yeah nothing is perfect in this world. With all of my favourite aspect in the story compared to the aspect that I dont like (hareem with dense MC actually not, because he know that the girls love him and he clearly told them that he didnt want to... more>> be in relationship with them except for that certain thousands years old virg*n lol). With pros and cons of this novel, this novel still enjoyable to read.

edit

as of late this story become completely wish fullfiling power trip story, so I lost interest in this story T-T. <<less

I really dont know what to say. Its written well, you get drawn in the dungeon, the MC is interesting, there are some novel and unique ideas.

But there are also overused cliches everywhere. The MC gets all the girls, all his "underlings" are girls, ofcourse he has to save everyone, there is no real darkness in the world (besides the usual demon lord and evil forces dominate worlds stuff).

I recommend to read it, even though its not my cup of coffee.

Lmao, this author writes the funniest shit. One thing people keep forgetting with this author is that the focus is always on Comedy, not plot or character development. As with his other work, if you don't find the jokes funny, you shouldn't bother reading it.

So... Well I will first start this off explaining the rating. For me if any novel does not have a sense of danger or anything threatening at all (this changed a tad later, not enough) then that by itself carries my rating down. The interactions of this novel between characters is honestly funny. There is one called, Loretta and that has go to be the best part about this novel. Anyways the novel is about basically leveling up and progressing in a dungeon. The goal is to get stronger,... more>> and my interpretation so far is this is to help citizens of that current planet t0 combat a threat that is around them. However, in the MC case that threat is basically nonexistent. He still goes to school. Now I understand for the socializing and whatever. I just can't see how or why he should because he socializes well with people from the dungeon. He can form parties and raids! Furthermore, if the goal of attending university is to have a stable job for money... Then that is a laughable reason to go to attend. Some of the drops from the dungeons are worth MILLIONS of won. Yes the author explicitly writes their worth. I tend to skip chapters of him interacting with people outside the dungeon (besides his dad), because quite frankly it's simply boring.

Now when I just started this story. I believed his circumstances would begin to change (threat in his world) like it is for his companions from dungeons (maybe in the future there will be). There are certain "threats", but there are so weak in comparison to the characters with abilities that it's meaningless to call it a threat. In a world where it's modern setting, I love when a threat is large enough, that it shakes up the dynamics of that world. This novel which is still in it's infancy... lacks that.

With all that said. MC? Pretty funny (humor may differ) I enjoy his interactions with some characters. He isn't all brawn no brain further in. The side character (s) are... Good enough that their interactions with the MC do not take away from the story that much. In fact sometimes add more to it. I honestly feel I have to think of reasons to add to make you read it.. I rather you read 5 stars reviews for that or just anyone else who may love a LOT more about it than I.

To conclude I do not think this is a bad story it's pretty nice for passing time and the translator is honestly awesome! However, when a novel about dungeons and threats to their safety key point for me is his interactions with someone in the dungeon... Where fights happen. Farming like an MMO, constant grinding... I think it lacks something. That something is? Danger. Threat. Whatever you want to call it. I am sure in the later chapters it get's better. Especially on that end. Hopefully I update my review by then. Remember to look at how many chapters I am at. Because who knows it may had change 10 chapters from there. <<less
