I am not really sure for others but all I can see are negative comments so here is my review.

This novel could be consider as a fanfiction. This is a complete daydream of all men. Removing the way the author present the real people around the protagonist, it is actually an entertaining work. This might be a controversial piece for the author is completely relying to a completely real history in hollywood but still made the protagonist as if own these good pieces as his own. I don't know what... more>> to say but think that the author is just like an average person daydreaming that he will conquer hollywood by other's works in the name of his protagonist.

All in all, I enjoyed reading it even if a lot of other people didn't. So, I have to recommend it. I don't think that it is boring and slow-paced. Give it a chance and you will definitely laugh on how thick-skinned the protagonist is. <<less

Not much to say about the novel, it's good and I recommend you to try it although I read it just for fun since it's actually not a novel that has profound ideas.

But I have to say I really hate the drew character I get really annoyed when she does things which could actually ruin the MC life and career and the guy (mc) just laugh it off as if its nothing I would really like it if she just get the f**k out of the mc's life.

I've never reviewed a novel on this website before, but I felt like I needed to for this one. Because it might be the best novel I've read on this website.

I really enjoy the type of novel where the MC has a knowledge of future events, I also really like it when the novel is about the MC climbing the ladder in something that's not a video game or cultivation. Hence some of my favourite novels on this website are God of Cooking, God of Music, Top Management, God of... more>> Crime. That kind of stuff.

What this novel adds is a real world element. The characters in the previously mentioned novels aren't real, they're fictional, made for the purpose of the story.

With this novel, I'm really enjoying googling all these people's names, because 90% of the characters are based on real people. It just adds an extra element that makes it really interesting.

The one thing I don't like is the constant references to the fact he's Chinese. It's really off putting. Like he has to talk sh*t all the time because China is better. <<less

I gave this a 3/5 because although the main character is really disappointing and unlikable, and the story is ruined, I still want to read to see if it gets better and I want to find out what happens to the 13 year old girl.

Main problems with story:

- The main character is the main problem, he is a despicable and garbage person, he’s tr*sh. I’m saying these words because ei don’t want to swear. But basically he’s scum.
- Other than being scum, he has many bad traits, honestly just think about the stereotypes of Hollywood directors, promiscuous, untrustworthy, s*xual harassers, arrogant, pe*ophiles, degenerates. That’s him. He started off good and promising, it had a lot of opportunity but it was ruined compelkty and turned into a s*upid, not even wish fulfillment story, it’s just mmmm delusional.

it was a good premise. Too bad the author is Chinese and doesn’t even know that the legal drinking age in the US is 21 not 18. And also I feel he kept trying to make the stuff look bad on purpose. And there is some China no 1 things, but they’re kind of hidden.

I haven't read the story yet but first and foremost, can someone upload a more suitable novel cover? :)) I mean, the MC is a blond-haired westerner. The cover is obviously a male Chinese. OR at least change the cover to a BOY. The person in the cover is just too old for the MC's image ╮(╯_╰)╭

Now, I have read 42 chapters and it just doesn't suit my taste. SPOILERS:

I don't know if it's the influence of his new identity as a westerner or not but I can clearly... more>> say that the MC have no lingering feelings towards his past relationships, esp his wife and son. The MC is not only tempted by women but also not mature and steel-willed enough for a 44-year-old married man. He's like a teenager in and out. I can understand that many readers, esp Asian ones won't like this novel because of the MC's behaviour and flirtings despite having a girlfriend.

Moreover, the image and characteristics of the real hollywood stars are just so discordant and unparallel. My stance is that the way the author described them is not apealling, only make them more detestable with more childishness and inapprotiate acts, while the MC is so OP. He is always at the advantage. I swear! If those hollywood stars's fans read this novel, they would definitely boycott right away. I rate this novel 2/5 (just don't know why it's still 5 stars in the ratings above). <<less

This reads as absurd-level wish-fulfillment. And I'm someone who typically LOVES second chance/future knowledge novels.

The world is supposed to be the real-world with realistic people in it, aside from the MC with his photographic perfect word-for-word recall of all books and movies not written yet.

Yet, each and every person other than the MC (who in real-life are extremely smart/talented/skilled) are made to be so absurdly dumb so that they don't and can't challenge or give trouble to the MC even when they want to, and all anyone can do is... more>> worship the MC.

The romance is absurd wish-fulfillment with terribly written female characters that aren't really true to the (at least publicly known) characters of the real-world celebrities.

Save yourself the letdown and skip. <<less
