MC goes around attacking villages and people that have nothing to do with stuff that was done to him. Not to mention they seem to be just normal villagers. I mean I don't mind slightly evil MC, but there's usually at least some justification for their actions. Here there is none.
What made this novel crappy is that the enemy goddess can take over other people's living body and modify them remotely to be super OP, which is bs. These sorry as powers are pointless and ruins the plot, making everything not interesting since the goddess can have spies every-where plus spam the MC with OP enemies whenever she wants. But o-wait u say the goddess has a limit in power, yeah right, the limit is the author, him/her self. Just cause one of his minions wants to eat delicious food he doesn't kill more people, what the hell, his minions are undead plus his own cook is undead? It just makes readers like me and others get frustrated.
I usually don’t go for gratuitous and sometimes senseless violence and so forth, but I was feeling a dark novel. And I’ll say it. This is pretty damn good. I don’t understand the negative comments about his “morality”. I mean... none of you can say it has to be a certain way.
The tags were on the money, and it’s well written and a really decent translation if I had to say.
some parts are kinda out of left field, and I don’t particularly care for some of the cliffhangers, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. If I had to point out some negatives I suppose...
I guess it would be the power levels
like how sometimes it kinda just happens.
or how someone like the “god”’s initial antagonist showed up and kinda just disappeared.
personally. I’m not used to female characters coming in with screen time to not be heroines. But that’s just me honestly.
sometimes the dialogue is hard to figure who’s who.
Sometimes things kinda just happen and not fully explained. Like he’s ripped to shreds and never says how or who healed him. (I know he can do it too but I mean... it’s kinda being nit picky on my end)
oh! Also the relationship with Stella. I mean I may have skimmed it, but the way it sounded in the beginning they were really into each other, and then you read the introductions and it says the way she felt for him was waaaay different.
but I mean honestly.. none of this really hinders it. The characters have growth, the world building is there. Like 99% of the characters introduced are relevant. Objectives are set and being met in a timely matter. There’s not a lot of wasted dialogue. The fight scenes are not bad.
I enjoy it. Good read.
WAIT! One damn thing! If this motherf*cker can manipulate souls and the dead, and so can his teacher... TF is his mom still dead. Biggest f*cking issue.
