This novel waste no time to make me laugh. Last year I read a novel that almost same. They both get point for make some people angry. While this novel which I wish to give five stars but no, reason? Their is a flaw for this novel. For unknown reasons somehow the HN knew what this and that, that the MC have which give me creeps.

I'll give a example, there is a new plane or world. I'll say again NEW PLANE. Then he get that thing with between him a mysterious man knew somehow.

While he back together with HN people and his sister. He said what he get then later he try to use that thing which can make him change face. ONLY HE AND HIS SISTER KNEW ABOUT THAT THING MAGIC.

Later that creep HN leader said that HE F*CKING KNEW THE USE OF THAT THING!

HE KNEW! Which is he will never knew in the first place. That creep!

And there is more before that. Some give logic reason some unscientific reasons. Hopefully the flaw can give resalable background story or whatever. After all, writing a novel is really pain in the *ss.


For now let see if the MC can free himself from that HN.

The author's other novel is way better --- and I recommend it.

Here, on the other hand, nothing is really funny. Also, modern day setting screams racism, nationalism and... boredom.

The distress system is rather s*upid and not that well thought out, points gathering is really repetitive.

Side characters are not really smarter than MC and some definitely should be!

Reading this novel feels like I am contributing to the MC's system. I am getting annoyed by the plot.

Overall I would classify this story under slice of life&parody category.

my gripe about this novel is the abrupt change from action comedy to drama. Little to no set-ups, you get comedic action because of MC's cultivation system and personality and then you get this supposedly emotional touching scene. It's disorienting.

and yes, it is a comedy set in a serious setting. But touching scenes should be set-up properly so that it would hit home even after a funny scene.

the little sister, Lu Xiaoyu. The author should really space out her story or her pitiful past or struggles more because it feels... more>> repetitive and at that point of time reinforcing that Lu Xiaoyu is a girl just trying to live in this cold cruel world and that we should empathize with is completely unnecessary for she is already stronger than most of the cultivators in the world and the story really struggles with pacing for the author is really leaning on the comedy aspects of the story.

and I just feel like important information regarding an item shouldn't be kept from MC just for laughs unless you go all in on the comedy <<less

This is a good slice of life/action/comedy novel. To those who rated this 1 star because of the pacing you should probably read the tags first. And the system? Its not unreasonable at all if you read the later chapters. This novel should've been rated higher tsk tsk
