I made this account purely to write a review for this novel.

The novel starts out strong but quickly devolves into an MC harem builder. Women are introduced by the handful PER CHAPTER at times just for the MC to bang and then are never mentioned again. If you do read consider everything that happens after earth merged with the heaven awaken world to be garbage.

Also stay tf away if you aren’t into r*pe. The first 1000 or chapters are okay ish. But then MC gets a literal aphrodisiac pheromone emitter... more>> ability and goes around raping every female he see’s. Dead ass the current arc I’m on as of writing this is him going around with the express goal of raping the top 10 beauties of a region. And it’s not like MGA revenge r*pe; this MC has literally never met these people before. <<less

about r*pe and women

Spoiler

k so first off after reading ahead I completely understand some of those reviews that complained about MC treatment towards r*pe and women.

So MC has a cultivation technique called "Six Desires Demonic Scripture" what it does naturally you can imagine. Those women will always start off rejecting him but then bc of the technique they ultimately submit.

more about this cultivation technique is that the technique is actually Taboo within the Heaven Awaken World and anyone who learns in will always be hunted down. Simply bc of jealously of other men and wanting to protect their women from the clutches of a person with the Six Desires Demonic Scripture.

so far nobody has realized MC is the one with the technique but many definetly realized that the technique has reappeared in the world and are trying to hunt down the person with said technique. Shocking enough some prince in an Empire level country also has the same technique but havent had much contact with him just yet.

as for women in the beginning of the novel MC was basically indifferent to s*x which I found quite interesting, even when he did have s*x it was just for the benefits it brought to Great Qin. But now in later chapters MC is basically grabbing up every woman he sees and turning them into his wives. Most of those women were all married as well. So basically goes around without a care stealing everyones women for his own lustful desires.

the main way MC gets with most of these women is basically though BLACKMAIL. He tells them if you dont sleep with me ill massacre your entire family or to the ones who are lords over Cities or countries he threatens to slaughter everyone. So they basically all become weak-willed and comply to have *** with him. Naturally bc of his cultivation technique they all become sluts in the end. Sometimes those women will even have s*x with each other when the MC isnt around to satisfy them.

Spoiler

up to what ive currently read 9-10 years have already passed by since chapter 1. Thats to my understanding tho.

MC destiny powers

Spoiler

MC's specialness comes from all his Emperor Stars. You can basically assume he will have an Emperor Star for each of the 8 major races. Emperor Star is the supreme Star of each race. Where I am at he currently has the

  1. Chaotic Emperor Star - no defined race but its the most feared star bc it signifys slaughter
  2. Heavenly Emperor Star - Humans Supreme Star
  3. Nether Emperor Dark Star - Dead Race Supreme Star
  4. Purple Heavenly Dragon Star - Monster Race Supreme Star
  5. Demon Lord Star - Demon Race Supreme Star.
  6. a work in progress is the Exotic Race Supreme Emperor Star. Idk its name yet
    [collapse]
Overall the novel isnt actually bad, a few interesting things here and there that some may like. If you dislike r*pe tho then just stay away from the novel. But if your a fan of the whole "r*pe Victims become Lovers" then you might find the novel interesting in the end. But the harem is extremely large. <<less

the novel starts abruptly with no reason to how and why it's happening, if you didn't read world online before starting this you would've given up on this in early chapters.

MC is c*cky and reflects authors racist views on world, author keeps saying equality of gender but doesn't believe it himself, MC r*pes a girls then miraculously they give up everything and becomes his concubine no matter how strong they are how much greater their own worlds or kingdoms are compared to MC. Its r*pe rinse repeat to gather beauties... more>> all around the world who are no longer relevant after that chapter.

MC is given cheats left and right to make him OP, he keeps trying to justifying genocides and r*pes in the name of unifying worlds and how it's a cruel world, he keeps saying he needs to be cruel to keep his friends and family safe, which is hilarious line considering he has no friends and keeps his family either in jail/harem (heavy in*est) /torture chamber /isolated from capital city.

once the world is unified all his kingdom building skills become crap as he can't plagiarize what world online doesn't have, author doesn't know what to do so he focuses another 1400+ chapter on power-ups for MC and earth.

author blindly expects you to follow his reasoning and decisions as best because if you've eaten turds for 1000+ chapters what's the harm in eating more stinking and infested turds to read more of this. <<less

I'll barely give this novel a 2/5 rating.

Pros:

  • A novel concept of world building.
  • Good TL speed and quality. As in really good quality.
  • A bit of interesting chinese history built into it.
  • Interesting plot twists where not everything goes as expected for the MC
Cons: (Contains some spoilers.) ... more>>
Spoiler
  • MC is a robot and even when he has emotions the reader gets a limited look into it. Most chapters basically read like "MC does this, then this, and everyone is stunned, but MC doesn't give AF and now he does this. Everything turns out well."
  • Shoddy power levels. Basically the scaling is all messed up. Having this and that cultivation of whatever special effects and weapons doesn't matter because there are "City Lord Seals" and other things in effect all the time. Making the cultivation and aquisition of all the cool things the MC gets totally pointless. He should just have spent 99% of the time powering up his artifacts because those are the only things that seem to work anyway.
  • Too much chinese history. We get it the nations are coming back. But it's to the point where the inheritors can't even forge their own future because they somehow inherit all the enemies and entire dynasty made during it's entire existance. Meanwhile the rest of the world has like three worthwhile national heritages.
  • MC knows but doesn't tell readers. This is IMO one of the worst plot tools in writing. It also limits immersion which this novel really suffers from to begin with. The MC, who you don't really know since he is just a paranoid mu*derbot at this point learns a world shaking secret. Then it pops up in a chapter here and there. "MC understands why this is so important since he learned the secret. This will have major implications!"
  • MC is just too paranoid to be smart. Nobody is a friend and he can't trust anyone but NPC:s. Except when he does. Diplomacy seems to be a totally unknown concept to him and he just steamrolls everything and gets butthurt when he can't beat all the bazillion enemies he's made. So he tries to blow up the entire world.
[collapse]

It's not all bad, I've stuck with it so far. But unless the MC suddenly gets a heart at the end of the yellow brick road it's more akin to reading a history book. "The ruler of Great Qin rode forth on his horse and the world trembled. He was inwardly shocked at the power of the Main City Lords's Seal! But ultimately it didn't matter, all enemies of Great Qin must perish!" /the entire book.

More than anything it's the power level problems that get to me at this point. I feel the author probably has a grip on it, but like the feelings of the MC and what the MC actually knows and understands, he ain't telling us.

Also the spoilers are too long. It's more like 20-30% of a chapter than a spoiler at this point and I don't read them because it's like just reading the end of a chapter when it's released. <<less

Yes, this novel suffers from horriblegiantis. It has one of the blandest main characters to ever be penned, some of blandest characters altogether, actually, to ever inked into my memory, and it bleeds s*upidity and power-tripping every other chapter. However, I could have easily ignored this since, well, I've been reading shit-tier webnovels for over a decade now so I've got the accumen for it, but the racism in the novel just killed it for me. No, it's not even racism, to be honest; if you've read any number of... more>> Chinese webnovels, especially if they are set in modern world, you've encountered your dose of Chinese racism. It's usually fine-- standard stuff that Europe has been really into during the 30s and 40s about the superior race and such. It might peeve you at first, but after awhile... you just kinda, I dunno, become numb to it?

Racism here, however, isn't of that sort; I mean, yes, yes it is, but it's also different. See, what the author tries to do is the so-called cultural racism-- whereas you take your culture and proclaim it the grandest in the world. And, y'know, that's all fine and dandy, but my problem stems from the fact that the author decided to involve the history into it-- and, oh boy, does he know so little of history it physically hurts me.

As a history buff myself, reading this book gave me a stroke. And the first one happened basically with the first event of the book-- for some ungodly reason, the author decided that the MC would take the mantle of Qin Dynasty, one of the quickest dynasties to die (IN CHINA, btw) who have done so little they're usually just either mentioned in the passing or condemned for how vile and inhumane they were as a whole. Out of literal hundreds of 'Dynasties' in China, he decided to go with Qin... oh well. I guess.

Following this, you'll get your sludge of 'China was the center of the world' (basically the same rhetoric of CCP -- 'it belonged to the China since the ancient times') and it had hundreds of dynasties all of whom are super special and strong. I've an issue with this. Shouldn't dynasties be counted only as those who came out victorious? Since they are a part of China, while whoever lost technically isn't? Because, if we are doing this, we are literally talking about oh, I don't know, 18 billion dynasties that are all supposed to be super special and duper and what not? No, no, you see-- this only counts for China! 'cause China's numba-one! No, seriously-- f*cking Britain gets 1 mentioned descendant, and it's literally of a f*cking legend (King Arthur's descendant; I'm like 99% sure that author genuinely belives King Arthur actually existed and actually had a sword called EXKALIBUUURRRR), same with Rome, same with Egypt, same with India-- all four of whom, by the way, have been far more important to the overall course of the world than China and at least 3 of whom ought to have roughly 8 times more dynasties than China.

This sort of racism is really suffocating since it doesn't stem from just pride and brainwashing, but also from just pure, unfiltered, garbage-tier ignorance. If you wanna write books that get CCP to praise you and whatnot, go ahead, I don't give a shit, really. I might even read 'em if they're good. However, do not involve human history into it. While I know that history as a whole has stopped being a 'factual' science here in the west as well as we do our damnest to make it into a f*ckin' novella, it's still extremely easy to do even the most basic research required to realize that none of what the author had writtne makes any sense. For instance, he mentions that America is 'too young' to have a 'dynasty inheritence' or whatever, and even ignoring the fact that America's 200 year of history is likely more important than most of China's, he completely blanked on the fact that Native Americans existed... long before China did... and should have literal 18 billion inheritances themselves since there were 18 billion tribes throughout history. While every tribe was extremely similar, technically they weren't the same, ergo they get their own inheritance. Just like China's countless 'dynasties'.

It's really this painful level of ignorance that just kept me pausing chapters. You don't even need to be a 'history buff' to realize that most of what the Author is saying is either skewed or just outright not true. Then again, to be fair, this book was clearly intended for the Chinese audiences, and I partially blame the translator for thinking it would be a good one to translate for the west. Oh well. Have funzies y'all. <<less

Im out on 300 chapter. I should drop it on -/+100, but I had hope it can be better.

So easy for MC. He is getting everything without problems. S or SS character stats no problem! Conquering cities/villages? No problem, his soldiers don't even die in wars! Always w/o any deaths.

I know its chinese novel for chinese but please stop praise China all time like it is the center of the world. How great ancient China was. But why 99% rest of world (excluding China) don't even know their f2cking generals... more>> or dynasty. But if you asked if you someone know Egypt, Greece, Macedonia, Babylon or Roma Republic etc you will get answer, yes I know them.

Why? Because China fought only among themselves. They made Chinese wall to hide yourself. Roma Republic or Macedonia (Alexander) tried to conquer world. They should be the best legacy. But ofc China took 70% of that and fate world.

I forgot to add, I had to drop it at 5-10 chapters, when author potrayed MC as a ruthless, cold, intelligent and sharp person but he forgot in 1 chapter MC almost peed, when r*per tried to get his 2SS <<less

Complete utter garbage. I'm pretty sure a mentally handicapped ostrich pecked away at a keyboard and came up with this gibberish. It's actually demeaning to think the target audience of this novel are human beings. It's one of the top mysteries of the world why this novel has a positive rating. Perhaps this "novel" is actually a secret code for some underground secret society. I feel like I lost a bit of IQ and self respect for every chapter I managed to trudge through.

I love kingdom building and the novel is good enough to waste some time, but I can't get over this "Chinese superiority complex" thing going down in this novel. If it were once or twice it could be ignored, but pretty much every chapter there are ridiculous phrases that essentially all tell you how the Chinese are the best, where the best and no other culture can compare. Reading stuff like "China was the center of civilization." just makes me cringe. It's wrong and annoying and takes away... more>> the fun of reading this novel. <<less

Somewhat nice development story. But MC likes to makes enemies (no allies) : solve 10 enemies, next step is to make enemies of 100 enemies, then 1.000, 10.000... he thinks that he is smart, but smart people dont make enemies of the whole continent, the whole world, 5 other worlds... There are many other ways to get stronger, like making allies...

He doesnt care if people betray him... he dont kill them. And they betray him again... no kills. Betray again... no kills either...

Sometimes the s*upidit of MC is too... more>> much to enjoy the story. <<less

Guy's a literal mother f*cker, Cause of some hidden trauma or something. He starts collecting women from different races ranging from mature womens, widows, mother, aunt, sister, sister-in-laws, young looking granny, Female gendered non-human/humanoid Etc etc. And what made it worst was the fact that He collected so many that Random females were never mentioned again while the important ones were only given 2-5 chapter screen time. And was occasionally One lined mention every now and then. He just literally collects with no-string attach other than those important one ofcourse... more>> (those 2-5 screen time ones)

Then, World Building is composed of tiny schemes then brute force, brute force another brute force.. he has too many OP treasures around him that he didnt really need to scheme. Which was also a down side considering how this is an Empire building.

Only redeeming factor in this was the fact that the adventures were cool and MC is quiet awesome tbh. Other than that... Expect seeing a lot of fast food writing.. <<less

There's not much of a story here. It's like the author starts a free-write for every chapter. He can't seem to decide if he want's a transmigration novel or a VR novel and oscillates between the two.

Overall, it's another fast food novel. If you are in the mood for pointless levels/growth, you may enjoy it for a day or two.

You'll probably stop due to one of the below:

-Poorly, or even no explanation, for how stats/cultivation/equipment/legacies/etc work. It's like the author decided to throw together every hodgepodge of popular lite novels... more>> at the time and see if it would stick.

-Knowledge that springs from nowhere and has no source (This is perhaps just incredibly poorly worded/written by the author, but the MC has numerous cases where he starts in the first person and then begins just rattling off completely new concepts/stats he has no information source i.e. No user interface, no special beings, not introduction)

-The blatant and creepy Chinese nationalism that seems to infect so many novels also rears it's head here.

-Flipping of character personalities/interests on a dime. This links to the start of the review. It's fairly common for a character to flip a switch and is now completely different, or something the author spent a chapter trying to highlight is suddenly throw out the window.

I'd say 2-3 stars at the moment.

Changed to 1 star as as read further, novel is dropped. <<less

(EDIT)

The MC only someone who very s*upid idk if this is a author intention

    1. The MC only know how to clear problem violent (sometimes ppl called it muscle brain) by forcing them to submit so all of his subordinate obey him not because of loyalty or admired but instead scared of him so theres a chance they gonna betrayed him
    2. No matter how evil MC even after being betrayed he still let that person and then being betrayed again and this is keep going
    3. Even after being warned many times by golden dragon to stay low key but in the end MC always feel itchy if he didnt try to show off his skill in front many ppl that always make his position being know by supreme being
    4. MC completely ret*rd he force his follower who alr devoted their hardwork to him turn into opposite that they didnt want by threath them
    5. His statement about being low key completedly b*llsh*t, when he see a beautiful girls he didnt hestitate to captured them in front many ppl and become public enemy

I don't like to rate novels badly because sometimes they're just following troupes but this takes the cake for bad novels.

No logical flow of events or mc's character development. OP stomps non stop, doesn't even make sense. Barely 200 chapters in author establishes that MC is 'fated' to be unbeatable, and thus it was.

High paced short chapter novel.

Way better than I think it would be.

Their is a lot of romanche / harem potentiel member, but for now the MC got other thing to do then take woman. In fact reading other reviews, I was waiting for way more action on that side. I see it eventually coming, but not in the short time.

... more>> Action packed, good strategy. No irrational killing.

Also, nothing got forgetting, something that happen 100 chapter early will have and effect later.

The only down side of the novel for me is the length of the chapter. It cut on possible character development. Instead they always straight to the point. <<less

This is a type of novel that you will either hate it or love it, as for me I really liked the story and plot so much that I started reading the machine translation chapters available.

First If you really want to enjoy this novel you have to forget about all morality, ethics and righteousness and all because the world that the MC in is a dog eat dog world and you have to do everything and anything for survival because what could save the human race of earth in this... more>> Heaven awaken world is not a righteous Hero but evil incarnation 'Demon Lord'.

First let's talk about MC, He started as ruthless character early on but later on he became even more wile and evil, He will go to any extent to increase his power to 'protect' Great Qin so much that to increase his power he practices a downright the most immoral cultivation method that entices and forcefully captures female mind and force them to be physically bounded and depending on him forever (cough *In a s*xual way). At the latest chapter he has more than 100, 000 Imperial concubine that includes various female legatees from earth and other world, (which includes married wives and their daughters, widows, sisters, aunts etc.) princesses, empresses, empresses dowager, female generals and soldiers, Angels, dark Angels, fairies, elves, and all other female species Demi human or not you can think of and also various spirtitual goddesses too, he's especially more inclined to *ahem* mature MILFs especially Mothers and other people wives (IMHO the author do have some mental issues and a huge mother complex) and most of these are snatched against their will. But there's a reason for collecting of these female as they provide something essential for gathering of huge destiny necessary for empowering great Qin and for most part the MC do treat them well and satisfies their various 'needs' so they are pretty happy with him.

Although the MC seems pretty evil But that's to anyone that's against Great Qin, to his own people and subjects he treats them pretty well.

If you can ignore some of the aspects of the story, you will find the whole plot and development quite compelling and unique and if not sorry man this novel isn't for you. <<less

This book is quite a nice read as it has just about everything I'm looking for: game elements, real world being swallowed by game world, empire building, cultivation, a badass main character, and a harem. I am a person who loves badass main characters getting all the chicks. The translation quality and speed are both above average which is quite nice. If you are looking for a good book with a bad ass main character, pick this novel.

Things were not too bad for modern China because there were others in worse states. For example, the United States had only been around for 200 or so years and was a relatively newer country. As such, it did not have any Legacies within the Heaven Awaken World. Most countries had long histories, so they could inherit some ancient Legacies.

In terms of Legacies, the United States, which was a modern superpower, suddenly became one of the weakest factions. In the real world, the United States madly used money to buy anything it could use to barely keep themselves afloat in the Heaven Awaken World.

Among the modern countries, the one that was doing the best was modern China. After all, much of the world's development during ancient times was due to China, and it was only during recent times that China had gradually fallen behind. As such, it could be said that China was the strongest battle region in the Heaven Awaken World. - Chapter 64

[collapse]

If only if somethings will change like how MC act's towards women, or how MC is very very very weak in the real world then this novel is ok

I suggest reading this by bulk, stock around 50 chapters and read it to enjoy, reading one to two chapters will make you drop this novel as it's very very very slow kingdom building theme. I really mean it, it's very very very slow slice of life approach.

Decide to drop it and might re-read it later, below are my bias reason and it contain spoilers up to chapter 100+

Spoiler

First author is very very very bias to china, the repetitive china is great china is amazing all hail china thing becomes annoying, some epic Chinese heroes and dynasties or what so ever if you are Chinese maybe you can understand this, author just throw this and that without explanation.

Second MC is very 2d, No real life what so ever. More like a NEET who stay inside virtual world 24/7. although it was mention once that they need to return in real world to eat but maybe the author forgot this part or what ever reason but so far MC is staying inside like 24/7 and when he is outside or in the real world just a few sentence and MC return to game.

Third to much imbalance that the author makes OP MC inside game while MC in real life is tr*sh, garbage, and a leech who stay in his room all the time. I see no value in this as no matter how OP MC in game what's the point if he only stay inside his room? he doesn't even convert in game items to real life cash like the norm.

Fourth lack of support character or side character or for Christ sake at least introduce a antagonist character!. No Enemies, No Friends, No relatives, and what makes this novel worst no WOMEN in real life! you read it right all MC have is his good old gang of NPC inside the game... since he never LEFT his room which he leech from his cousin.

and so on since I just read chapter 100+

[collapse]

a certain reviewer post that he just wasted time reading this, I didn't believe it at first but now I feel what you feel lol but regardless it was a good novel if you just focus on the game side people who are like no game no life would love this novel but not me as I want something that balance real life and virtual life. <<less

It is so bland.

It seems to be an almost perfect copy of The World Online (https://www. novelupdates. com/series/the-world-online/). I also feel as though the entire novel has no action...

The MC is OP... There I just summed up literally everything that happened thus far.

... more>> Characters are so 2D I feel as though they barely made it past the 1D mark.

The universe isn't explained well and the system is confusing as heck.

The TL does an AMAZING job though.

The plot is slow at the start, then suddenly he becomes the most powerful person in less than 20 chapters...

Basically, it's a good book to read when you are just trying to fill your boredom, but if you expect a story as detailed out as novels like The World Online, or Shura's Wrath (The first books that came to mind, nothing particular about them in relation to this book) look elsewhere. <<less

It has some city building elements, but the way the author wrote it makes it a minor point. It only mentions the village level, and then how he goes around adding more sub villages through capture. Novel feels more like a fighting novel where instead of having a small core group MC goes around with a big army capturing villages. A major issue I have with novel is that MC magically knows all about the game mechanics without any explanation of what is going on to reader.
