Really good, this deserves a 5. MC is not OP at all, his power simply helps illustrate his growth with each chapter. Side characters are very developed, and never annoying. Hopefully it will transition over well after the competition arc is over.

A time-travel story where the MC attempts to fix his bleak future by chasing after the dream he had always regretted of letting go.

Written in a simple manner and the barest of descriptions, it is very much similar in style to the novel Coder Lee Yongho. You get to read about cooking instead of coding, a cooking show/tournament instead of a software company environment.

The text flows easily and each chapter is brief but eventful with short dialogue. The pace is nice and the status window serves as a way to... more>> inform the reader on the impact of the dishes. It actually doesn't give the MC too much of an advantage, imagine if you have a HUD (heads-up-display) that is extremely limited.

Very decent story and the hook about knowing future events and his doubts on his own ability to influence them is quite nice. <<less

Never thought I'd enjoy reading Top Chef in WN form lol, but the author has done a great job in creating interesting characters. I also enjoy that the plot line moves rather quickly, a cooking scene rarely takes more than 1 chapter as opposed to those 5-10 chapter battle scenes in other WNs. Highly recommend!

The novel starts of slow, but the actual meat of the story is simply outstanding. Thank you for translating this and I hope that you continue with the pace, do release more please and soon I am absolutely starving for more.

First I was skeptical since I don't really like slice of life and cooking novels but being korean novels fan and seeing the reviews I couldn't help but try it.... I couldn't be more right.

Interesting, interesting, interesting, I said it three times! It really was! A nice combination of RPG and Cooking, It doesn’t really clash each other. I say it was more toward slice of life, some line after another I don’t recommend people with high imagination to read this novel, why? Because it will make you hungry when you read it, LOL jokes aside, I really am feel hungry after read it, Damn, Good Job! ^_^

This is based on latest chapter, Ch 5

I really like this one, but since no one is willing to pick it up, I am so sad T_T
It has the game element I like, but also cooking, which is one of my forte. It's not the same as all the trend with reincarnated in another world. Let's wait for some translation.

Heartwarming story with lively and interesting characters. Easily one of the best I have ever read! Descriptions of the food/cooking process are so vivid I could almost imagine it in front of my eyes. 10/10 would recommend.

It's a decent romance novel with some slice of life and a bit of drama, but has cooking as the center of the plot.

It has a rough start but the first arc was the best in my personal opinion. After that, it gets more and more tedious that you'll start getting the habit of skipping few paragraphs without even the feeling that you missed something. Otherwise, I would've rate it 5 as a romance & slice of life novel especially since there was a lot of character depths and developments... more>> that were really commendable.

Despite that, I decided to dropped it at this point because I don't feel any tension and struggle anymore. Then again, it's slice of life novel so I can't blame it for its lack of tension. But if you're into slice of life novel or if it doesn't bother you, then like anyone else, you'll enjoy it more than I did (I learned that slice of life isn't really my cup of tea).

If you're someone like me who decided to drop it for whatever reason but you want know its ending, then here's a big spoiler for you.

Spoiler

Jo and Kaya got married. They got a resturant in Korean named Lotus Bridge near schools. They got a twin. One is a lad named Daniel, and the other one a lass named Suzy. Jo named the lad while Kaya named the lass. Because their parent cook really good meals, both of their kids became gourmet (someone who only eats good food, in this case, lvl 5 and above food). And they live happily ever after, Amen.

If I have to nitpick, it’s the fact that there are only 2 arcs in the entire translations. So for those waiting for whether the genius cooking girl to win or not, you may never know or even get the plot development you hoped for. That’s my only complaint.

My favorite novel so far! The relationship between Min Joon and his lovely girlfriend! A must-read for anyone wants a break from all the generic xianxia and reincarnation novels.

Super loved the "Grand Chef" portion of the novel. Eventually, I kind of get bored of it. Not much happening, too much fillers. It is really a good 'food/cooking' novel if you will.

It's my first time reading a genre (cooking) like this, I gave it a shot since it has that fictional air to it.

Below are my rating for this novel.

Plot: ♡♡♡

Character:♡♡♡♡

Translation:♡♡♡

Please do remember that i've only read up until Chapter 120, and will drop it for the time being.

Thank you.

I have always love to watch / read food related shows / stories. The translator managed to get across the mouth watering food description clearly which makes me feel hungry all the times. And I'm the type of person who like to make my food from scratch. I don't know how many additional hours I spend in the kitchen from reading this. I normally spend 3 hours cooking per day and yet today I been cooking & baking since 5am. I'm not even a good cook. T.T I'm going to... more>> get fatter. <<less

It's a pretty good read. It's the first time I read a reality TV cooking competition on a webnovel. The translation is also quite good. However, I'm a bit confused with the title. I wonder if it referred to the one who sent the MC back because the protagonist doesn't seem to have the capacity to reach godly level of skill. In fact, it's more accurate to tag the lofty "God of Cooking" title to the romance interest. Well, at least it's different than most MCs with cheat ability since... more>> the guy can't really utilize his cheat that much compared to real talented chefs. <<less

Fantastic chef adventure/romance story. I enjoyed the hell out of it while the chapters lasted. Great translation quality, but at glacial speed. I'd have begrudgingly settled for one chapter a week but that isn't in the cards. Definitely worth the time though, check it out.
