If video game currency is to exchange with real life currency, then it must have a powerful economic entity to guarantee the exchange rate. Furthermore this entity is none other than a country’s government. But why would a government guarantee the ability to exchange video game currency with real life currency?

War can also be fought with currency. Winning victory without firing a shot is a way to topple a country. A game where real money can be exchanged, a super money-making machine. Its name is <<Zero>>, and it is a financial explosion from head to tail.

Well the cover is misleading...

Author introduced the MC as a godly trap (somewhere along the lines of Hideyoshi/Totsuka) and now the cover is some buff dood...

Putting that aside, the story is pretty interesting albeit it the MC might just be as OP as the MC from Shura

The MC is a son of chaebol, richer than a king, a beauty beyond a man, a heart purer than a fool. When people got buried by crowd of people, he swam on top of people. When he got no money left, the NPC will lend it. When he embark on a journey, the first city he found is the "lost city". When he hit a tree, the firehell wood will drop (super rare drop). When his sword broke because he is a blacksmith who dont know how to repair,... more>> the dungeon guard will lend him the quest sword reward.

This is a story about the man who Fight from zero to hero. Oopss! I mean its a story about a child who born to be the strongest without a fight. I want to give vote 0, but the MC is so damn lucky that the system misclick it into 4. You know what I mean when you read this. <<less

This is an extremely boring series where the MC spends most of each chapter becoming progressively more OP for no real reason while doing nothing particularly special to acquire his various extremely OP cheats. There's no characters to speak of other than the MC and he's either too bland to pay attention to or thoroughly unlikable depending on how generous the reader is feeling. The series so far (v2c2) has no redeeming qualities and is not worth reading.

As others said. The story is just bad. Very op MC, playing a game, given unbelievable luck. If that's the only problem, then I wouldn't mind, but it's like the author never considered the ramifications of his choices for the MC. For example, in the game, if you are over lvl 20 and get killed, you turn into a ghost, and have to make your way back to town, find a special priest, pay him to be brought back. Given that this is a game, this mechanic makes... more>> absolutely no sense. And there are many other bits of s*upidity as well. I gave it 2 stars, because despite the s*upidity, it's easy to read.. <<less

I tired to like this Light Novel.

I typically enjoy reading VRmmorpgs Ding Fest/Japtem novels like LMS (Legendary Moonlight S) It even has an interesting background story about using the game to wage war in the Synopsis. It has a good translator.

BUT.... this story is a whole different level of s*upid. Even if the target audience is supposed to be 7 year old children. (If so, bad cover art choice)

Every chapter MC gets a random OP boost without even doing anything. He gets unbalanced game breaking random rewards at character... more>> creation, and wanders around lost for a few chapters running into OP Pets, items, etc...

I read someone else review on another Novel, and he put it really well.... The plot armor is measured in miles, not inches.

This story is actually hard to review because it is so lacking that there is nothing to review about. The bad rating is not even about what is written into the story, but what is not. MC starts game in "starting village". Spends 2 chapters to kill things, and leaves the starting village. No boss fight, no exploration, no special quests he can use his high charm stat to get... Absolutely Nothing...

At best, this story reads like a rough draft. A generic plot, and general direction of story laid out, but without anything else. <<less

A second gen rich spoiled young master enters a game.

Cursed with androgynous looks, he enters a game his mother has made, just like anyone else, starting from zero. (Hence the title, which is already a lie because....)

Then, like everyone in the reviews state, proceed to be showered with an ungodly amount of luck. Random rewards literally drop onto his lap for almost literally no reason whatsoever. He proceeds to miraculously be able to buy the first stocks, and somehow roll for the max number of random rewards possible. (starting... more>> from zero my foot) The plot just steamrolls from there and gets more absurd as the chapters go along. E.g. He gets a dragonling as a pet with zero effort when he gets lost and gets to raid the parents hoard without getting caught, solving his money woes he has been complaining about incessantly since the few hours he started the game (Yes not even a few hours and he's already complaining about how poor he is)

The game runs similar to modern games where equipment and levels are swapped out like water. (people can reach a few hundred of levels on the first day) and money earning is not restricted by your level (like our extremely broken mc)

"Romance"- Which consists of a few chapters showing sympathy to a girl and assisting her gets them into a relationship. Go figure.

Also MC seems only capable of surface thoughts, meaning he doesnt really seem to think too much about his actions. Most decision making taken seem to be no brainer yes or no questions. "Happy go lucky" is the best way to describe him. (similar to Tidus from final fantasy) <<less

I don't say this lightly, but this novel was actually bad. Just bad. I can handle ridiculous luck in these sorts of novels. Zhan Long and similar novels are full of miracle encounters and BS luck. I enjoy them despite that. This novel seems like the author was too lazy to even come up with those opportunities. Instead of gaining access to some ridiculous quest or creating your own skill, the author gives the MC overpowered power ups right at the start simply because the MC was one of the... more>> first to buy a game helmet.
Spoiler

He got two main professions, 3 side professions, bonus stats, right off the bat for no reason other than he got the first helmet. Something like that would totally unbalance the game

[collapse]
It feels like the author couldn't decide how to make the MC exceptional, so he came up with the ultimate BS reason to make the MC so OP from the very beginning he wouldn't even need to specialize or have lucky opportunities. It's like Shura's Wrath only the MC doesn't even have to go on quests or have miraculous encounters in game to be exceptional. I gave this one star but if I could I'd give it zero (Hah! Puns) <<less

If you want a novel without serious thinking then you can read this. Each chapter is long and until now there not many exciting battle. But it's quite funny how his interaction with NPC and how super his luck.

This is about a trap (men that looks like a woman) that plays VRMMORPG [ZERO] that his mother make and he wants to play without his mother helps. Thats why its a "start from zero". He don't have a martial arts knowledge or a smart mind. But he had a super luck.... more>> Like when the game company give a reward by random, he get it. When he search for a magic pet, he get a dragon and phoenix without battle. When he lost in a forest, he find a hidden city. And because the NPC had a different personalities just like a human, he get close with them and get many other benefits from them. <<less

Right now there is a problem with why you would read this. It interests me somewhat, but not greatly. The MC has a more than good background and has a shitton of luck. The "normal setting" isnt gonna change the fact that he's a young rich master with a massive amount of luck. The extreme luck thing barely goes well with an underdog MC, so why would it fair well with a rich one. I would read this because of the OP character and the fact that I'm curious about... more>> how the author or if the author will make me feel for the MC. What will make this MC flawed aside from his trap looks? <<less

... gave it a try but it goes from bad to worst as you read on and frankly many fan-fictions are better than this.

Game mechanics 1/100 star: Leveling up is simple to the point where you can not even bother to look for gears (they are not level locked but base stat locked so most looking for gear is worthless until after level 200 when leveling slows down)... no clear breakdown of the game coins [even a level 200+ can struggle to get some while a level 100+ can be... more>> loaded with coins]... game skills are not mentioned beyond the class basics even it was said he could buy them from shops or they drop from monsters.... no real story quest [or in game quest for that matter]. The list goes on

Romance 0/100 star: He meets a girl more beautiful then himself she gets in danger he helps her she is his now... no plot no work all within a few chapters..

Plot armor (?) I have to question if it is right to say he has plot armor or to just say the story is all plot armor. The game is something made 2/3rds by his parents companies a limited advance car [that even the government can only get a few of] is just given to him for no reason. NPCs give him wealth and do not care when he pays them back.. he gets a hidden class just because of his parents when he finds a bug in-game... and I just goes on <<less

Reads like a fanfiction written by a 5 year old. Literally.

Let's see, super rich young master, incredibly beautiful despite being a guy, insane luck to the point where even randomly buying stocks would make him one of the richest people alive, not counting his parents' money, rolling the dice for 4 numbers nets him a 1 out of 10 spots to be a super rare angel/demon descendant which enhances his super good looks even more. Game mechanics are bland, and as far as I can tell, are only there to... more>> make the MC even more powerful because he can somehow bend them to his wish whenever he likes. To be fair though, its not like they're described consistently or in great detail, so the MC seems to get away with a lot of s*upid sh*t that no one else can, because everyone else is an idiot never thought about testing the limits of the game engine like real life players would. In most novels, the author would at least make an attempt to disguise something as a bad thing, even though its obvious that its going to be the MC's winning mechanic, such as OverGeared. In this novel, the author either can't be bothered, or is simply that s*upid because he or she is still a child.

Non-stop self praise disguised as complaints about his poor, restricted life and more and more outlandish attempts at making the MC some sort of super human with best god level pets/equips etc, simply come across as incredibly tedious and whiny.

Simply reading past chapter 10 will show even the most idiotic reader that it's not for nothing that this novel has one of the lowest possible scores on novelupdates. Any more than that, would require a complete suspension of disbelief and a near god-like level of tolerance or devotion that is impossible for the average human being, unless he or she does not mind losing a few IQ points every chapter. At first read, I really thought that this was a parody of some sort, especially due to that title, but now I'm pretty much convinced that the author simply read some manga, liked the determination and grit of some manga MC, and decided to use it because it sounded often, regardless of how poorly it fit the actual theme of the novel. <<less

I couldn't read past chapter 6. There's just way too much self-praise and superficial childish attitude from the main character. He literally is rich and "lucky" and literally the novel revolves around him. Right from the start, it felt so narcissistic and snobby.

Another problem is how the game mechanic is so unbelievable now, while being super cliche at the same time. It borders on "fascination", the bad kind of fascination where it is in your face. The game literally also revolves around him.

Not the best novel out there. It's a good read if you just turn off the common sense from your brain.

MC has a tremendous bullsh*t luck. Mostly comedy and just teeny weeny bit of seriousness. Just don't expect much the novel.

I gave it 4 stars cuz I like my common sense turned off once in awhile.

Its like watching one of those meme videos on youtube, s*upid but makes you laugh.

If u aren't one of those yellow squinted eye dwarfs PLEASE stay away from this novel. The racism and insults on other people's culture in this novel is on another level tht it can NOT be justified as patriotism... The author doesn't even spare those poor developing countries who got nothing to do with him, making fun of their economic conditions in an EXTREMELY sarcastic way... Some of the actions performed by MC agains other country people r so cruel and gore tht I have nightmares... more>> now... I don't know the reason for so much hatred inside the author but it looks like tht author's grandmother, mother, aunts, sisters, wife and daughters were all violated for years in front of his eyes... I can only think of this reason for all of the things tht the author has written about

The author is basically smearing sh*t on other people just to hide his own ugliness

This novel has disturbed me so deep to the core that I (a wuxia fan for many years) might NEVER consider a Chinese novel for reading... Japanese anime and novels r SO much better than the work of these monkey worshippers

I swear if I wasn't underage I would chase this author to the ends of hell and smash a lawsuit against him making sure he stays behind the bars for the rest of his life <<less

All I can say is that this story is interesting despite what people say about how lucky the MC becomes. The MC does not become OP like other MC's from other stories, he relies on his friends and allies to help him get through tough challenges.

If you don't like a comical and lucky MC, this story is not for you. This is a light-hearted story about a virtual reality game. You are NOT going to find deeper meanings and a lot of drama. This is a story that you stick... more>> with just because you want to go along for the ride. People hate on this story because they can't appreciate a funny and awesome story about a lucky MC and his adventures in virtual reality with his friends. <<less

Give this light novel a chance in volume 3 things pick up and become pretty interesting. Also the other reviewers are bad mouthing a light novel over 23 chapters of story. There is like hundreds of other light novels that take like 50 chapters to even get past the prologue part of the story so in volume 3 it picks up and becomes really interesting. Also the MC is not bland without any charm. He also interacts with a lot of NPC's and some players. And in volume 3 he... more>> starts hanging with another person for the for see able future

a better description would be. MC starts the virtual reality game with a lucky chance at a prize, he also gets a high luck stat which brings him some really lucky chances for things. After a bit the MC meets a girl and they adventure together. <<less

This is... extremely bad, even compared to to the likes of zhan long.

Ultra fast pacing that doesn't really get into the pacing of a MMO game at all. Plot armor galore is pretty much what this is. Some parts of the don't make sense either if you've read other VR novels.

At one point, he gets the rewards for a quest before just by asking since his equipment is broken. He has wings, but can't fly and it takes way too long for the author to even mention that fact.

This is... more>> more of a guide of what not to do if you plan on writing a VR novel. The main problem with this novel would just be the pacing. It feels more like the author wanted to reach endgame content instead of taking the slow and methodical path of building up the foundation of the story.

Almost everything the MC has is by luck or plot armor. Hardly anything ever goes wrong and if it does it's not really much of a wall. <<less

Now I get all the comments about having to really work hard to suspend your disbelief. I've never played a game where a player can go from zero to level twelve in half an hour (unless someone else was leveling them). yup, twelve levels in a half hour killing spotted deer. he manages over level twenty before the first day is done, and that's just in the first three chapters.

I enjoy mindless entertainment as much as the next person but this is one of the worst I've ever seen. I... more>> don't think I can turn off my brain enough to actually enjoy it, though I have gotten a lot of practice in rolling my eyes as I read, so at least I got some mild eye exercise from the experience.

Final conclusion... below average with a few humorous moments. <<less
