After the Princess of Qi, Qing Shi died, there was a man who hadn’t truly lived since. That man gave up his entire life as a sacrifice for her death. No matter how relentless time can be, it will never wash away the memories of happiness, instead it will ingrain the painful memories much deeper still.

Rate: 10/10 - A simple but moving story. This is not so easy to write.

It's a little sad, a tragic love story that didn't even have a chance to start. T-T

Sad, but there is a good feeling at the end...

(I want an alternative story with a happy ending! T-T)

I give this a heavenly damnation five stars because of how much it could just make me automatically cry once I enter the story a little through. Aware that this is sad, angsty and a tragedy novel and even had read this a couple times before, I still ended up crying. Rather shameful but I had to admit. Although a tragedy, it is a quick read so it seemed to end off just nicely. If it were chapters longer, I'm not too sure of how exactly would the plot play... more>> off and to what extent. It isn't the best angst novel out there but it is one worth a read still. <<less

This is simply put an embodiment of regret, guilt and sorrow. As you can guess from the tags and summary its not your Cinderella story.

I am a fan of all of the Jiu Lu Fei Xiang's books and this one is no different from all of the gems that she had write. The flow of this story is so beautiful that you cannot help but feel like you can really understand the General's heartbroken and regret. It is a tragedy but a tragedy that will left you feeling overwhelm with emotion after finish reading it.🖤

The story is heart wrenching and so touching that it brings you to the verge of tears. I wonder what happens to the Qi nation after the General passed away and Quing Shi afterwards.
