We do not belong to the light nor do we belong to the darkness, we walk the line in between.

What is has going for it is an original setting, at least for chinese novels. What it has going against it, is that its the generic chinese rehash of cliches of slapping young master, peerless beauties, and peerless genious MC shaming peerless geniuses.

Interesting story ??, MC is smart enough and cunning for what I've read so far, still too early to say too much about it, I'll edit the review when there will be more chapters to read.

I recommend people to try it!!

Written during a time when webnovel stereotypes weren't set in stone, Reincarnation: Demon Hunter brings a breath of fresh air when placed next to modern day webnovels.

Although basic models are used, such as the 'transmigration' and 'system' plot devices, the author displays a willingness to not conform to generic plots. Although there is no set direction in the novel, we vaguely get a feel of where this story is going early on.

At the current point of translation, the characters are not fleshed out enough to become truly unique, however, the... more>> potential to surpass modern stereotypes remains.

Although it's too early to completely rate the novel, it's recommended that you give it a read. <<less

I'm quite familiar with DnD so I read this while suspending my knowledge on DnD.

The action scenes are very fast paced but described in detail and in a suspenseful way.

The way the author gives narrative to the MC's insights and deduction process is detailed yet not too much that it takes away the suspense.

... more>> The interaction are short and sweet, but it's the subtle motions of the characters are what define their relationships.

This novel does not treat the reader as an idiot and actually gives room for the user to read between lines and analyse.

This novel deserves to be published in the bookstores/ebay/wherever.

a must read. I strongly recommend this book. <<less

Fist 45 chapters are interesting, then it becomes boring. Feels like since the MC arrived in the demon hunter headquarter the author didn't know what he was doing. Instead of learning how to use his power, or at least having a school atmosphere, the MC slept in the prison, killed students, and was enrolled in the cavalry? I don't understand much since he joined the HQ, I lost sight of the plot and the quality fell drastically

I believe it to be the epitome of writing and translating the world has ever seen. The peak, simply the embodiment of God himself times 10. The summit, pinnacle, the highlight of the translating world!

Gave up on ch 11, then forced myself to read further to give it a chance to get better. It didn't.

Too early to comment on overall worldbuilding, but the dialog is monodirectional and the descriptions of the environment is poor - you can't really imagine the scene based on what's given, and the characters are too wooden for their roles.

Maybe this has rewards for people who stick to it, but I'd still guess that it's apex never reaches beyond mediocrity, and I'm tired of these kind of empty, word-count-filling stories.
