would be great except for the huge plothole and some annoying things

the Author kills too many people

if the world really worked like this, humans would of gone extinct years ago

... more>> I mean basically every character that's trained it whatever power system they have has killed hundreds of thousands of people by the time they get enough "Power" to be considered and "expert" which if you have ever read any of these novels you know that just means they are generally a couple ranks higher than the people around them

these people are killing people faster than they are born

basically the only people that would be alive are the old dudes that kill anyone and everyone for any reason and are powerful enough to run away as soon as anyone comes to kill them for any reason

-

bad things about this novel

MC becomes that generic Young Master that you commonly see in other novels as in

  • You dare compare a firefly to the sun
  • You dare resist me trying to kill you
  • You dare try and hurt me?!?! I'll slaughter your whole family
  • gets angry and smashes things around him over minor inconveniences
  • does incredibly bad things to people for no particular reason then gets angry when people try and do it right back at him
  • his only fighting words are "Die" and "Kill"
  • MC holds grudges over the littlest of things and even holds grudges over inanimate things I mean read this [Fang Yuan felt the weightlessness and as he felt powerless inside the void, it made him clenched his fist and thought, "One day... I will make sure even this void cannot restrict me!"] this guy will trip over his own feet and then swear to destroy gravity for making him fall
this novel also overuses the word "Demon" basically if any character is slightly stronger than someone else "Demon" person does something you don't like? "Demon" from another world? "Demon" don't particularly like that guys face? "Demon" grows stronger 3.5% faster than someone else? "Demon" they just keep throwing this word around everywhere, I swear they have used this word more than the MCs own name in the entire novel

EDIT : Author does an Arc which is basically alternative earth and while they only mention "China" and do random names for other countries, but you can tell what they are

and the hoooobooy does the Author get right into the Nationalism and racism with talks about Yellow Monkeys and shit

basically when MC was in china country everyone was fine and calling people comrades and stuff then the second he leaves that country and goes to Americ-*cough* I mean Golden Eagle Federation, everyone is immediately racist (kinda right irl though) then the MC being "Righteous" for not immediately killing them and only curses them for the rest of their lives, gets kidnapped, nearly gets sold into s*avery, gets called racial slurs and people point and laugh at him for getting "scammed/kiddnapped" but its MC so he's not really scammed

but you see it... the arc was going well so far, <<less

The same quite unique style as in Warlock of the Magus World (read my review for that). Overall it is maybe just slightly weaker. A bad point is that whole arcs

of dream traversing to another realm

can be skipped and nothing is lost because MC only gets a power-up from them and what happens doesn't impact the plot in any other way.

Fascinating start that had a very different development route from it.

Not a bad thing, in fact the novel is quite good, but it does leave you yearning for that style of the first chapters. A really recommended read yet.

Came here to read a novel about a carefree farmer who ends up somehow conquering worlds by leading people either intentionally or unintentionally, instead what I got was a generic arrogant face slapping cultivation novel MC who happens to farm as a side job just because it helps him becomes powerful faster. The focus is on farming for 5 chapters, after that, it's just another cultivation weak to strong novel with a lot of face slapping.

Honoring the name Fang Yuan, MC is also quite cold-hearted, and really has no scruples,... more>> causing entire families to die and not batting an eye. <<less

I loved Warlock of the magus World, and this is very similar. A cold-blooded MC, no romance, no "scream and gets more powerful" or "love gives more unreasonable powers" stuff. It's not such an eerie feel, like warlock.

He is a very calculative and deceiving person: no friends are greater than benefits.

The ending is, as most of his works, not that great, but very acceptable. Usually open ends. Well, the best ending ever, for me, was Everyone Else is a Returnee.

Some minor characters simply disappear and some questions are left unanswered.... more>> However, the overall quality is great. I enjoyed it very much as a change from the overused plots of Xianxia. <<less

Okay. I want to be critical because the author of this novel is the author of Warlock of Magus World, which is one of my favorite novel so far (Out of less than a thousand novels I've read).
1) The premise is ok. He has a cheat called system, he don't do what typical MC when their marriage is broken, he is not careless, has a farm, and flexible with his decision and choices. Basically not the usual s*upid MC.
2.) The literary writing is bad. IDK if it was... more>> because of translation but it is not immersive. I always shake my head when their are redundancies, adverbs and words that only lengthen the word counts.
3.) Worlds traversing is great. Especially using Western Settings and components. I faced palm on eastern components on how childish the naming sense were. Also they are sloppier established than their western couterparts.
4.) References are either cringey or hilarious. Sauron, Zoro, Ottoman, Spice Island, Ainz Ooal Gown, etc
5.) The author was using his previous method from WMW (about destiny) but it is not as catchy as before. I won't elaborate on this, just read both so you could understand me.
6.) There is little tension, only when about the Peak Netherheaven Mental Demon that stakes became high and interesting (though the conclusion of their fight is very unsatisfying). However, this happened between the middle and last parts of the story. As for the ending chapters, it became such a bore.
7.) Character development is stagnant. Or even regressed a bit for doing s*upid things or his s*upid MC halo granted him advantages.
8.) Last, there are many things that the author told and established, then later cross-out by some random explanation. So yeah, don't be s*upid to believe the author when he established something because he would just play you around later.

Yep, I think this is it. There might be more to explain but it will probably not giving the author his worth of cent. <<less

I tried giving this novel a try but the lack of personality really kills it for me, if you told me the MC was robot at the end I would not be surprised since everything seems to be 10101 for this MC he will not move unless he has benefits, if not you could watch his mother being mu*dered without a shred a emotion.

The system ruins the whole cultivation of this novel, already that there is no depht to the cultivation all he has to do is gain a little... more>> experience with no bottleneck of understanding of cultivation either.

I wouldn't really recommend this novel to anyone <<less

The cultivation is great, it gives more world building.

But, I feel the author lost himself in the inner-side stories too much.

It's a good read until he goes to the main continent.

Edit-

Ok, first of all the unique dream traversing and exploring different worlds was great. But that constant reference to Chinese history all over the multiverse is nauseating, and also that generic reference to western fantasy isn't what I was expecting. I expected to see different exotic cultures and wierd races, but all you get is the same, dragons, demons, humans. (Especially humans, they rule or meant to rule all the worlds, it almost makes you question if all that multiverse traveling is just a dream). The story had great potential, but the author ruined it by not being more open minded, and been more creative with plots. <<less

This story is very good, and the MC is mature, always look lowkey, and OP on the right moment. The scheming and the way of his thinking to consider cost benefit is making this story different from linear cultivation story (revenge, harem, and beat the bad guys). He is more like "i wont bother anyone, leave me alone" type. Although I recommend to skip all of his dreams story (side story), They are not making the hype on track.

C154

The story pace has gone fast from a little mountain, into kingdoms,... more>> and wars. I like how MC get things done is a fast and simple way. Killing and plotting enemies that should take days, its done in a day. Ending the war that took years, being done in months. This is the very reason why this novel can never get you bored! The pace and scheme are well played and keep getting better. <<less

It's so good, if only the MC had a bit of humanity in him it would have been perfect, he doesn't give a damn about girls witch both good and bad, and his quite cruel even immoral sometimes, the translation is also sometimes confusing, otherwise this novel is so good the MC is smart his actions are quite logical he knows when to step up and when to step down, he take preventive action to protect himself. He didn't let anyone take advantage of him.

Clearly this story is about relying on ones self to progress in the world. This farmer looks at his life experience as one big experiment, where in he utilizes what is available and cultivates his farm, his animals and his life to become superior to others. I find the novel engaging and light hearted. At times he is schemed and betrayed by associates and strangers. This does not deter his spirit. I look forward to his journey to a better life for himself and those who may come to... more>> associate with him. <<less

So far it's pretty good; reminds me of the beginning of 'World of Cultivation'. We have a MC who doesn't really care that much about the world outside of his little farming valley, and yet, the world still intrudes.

It's too early to say whether it'll turn into cliched garbage, but at least the writing style is fairly engaging. There are hints of the old familiar stories with a broken engagement and a set of evil antagonists (outer sect guy, inner sect cousin, sect elder father). They don't make up the... more>> bulk of the story though, and are still entertaining enough.

As yet, there are no triggers that would make me stop reading (heavy sexism, r*pe, racism, etc.). People who enjoy xuanhuan will probably enjoy this. <<less

Great Book. I enjoyed it overall, but this last arc was shit. And also very rushed.

Author has some great ideas. He built many different worlds. But this Final Destination place was crap, it was a simple city, where you comprehend or die. That's it. Even that villian they introduces, someone who got the same cheat from Huaxia civilization but is evil. That guy just came out of nowhere.
Moreover his personality changes in the last few chapters. This is the guy who literally clawed his way to power, not once... more>> but several times. He lost every advantage but still has confidence to succeed. But, in the Final Destination arc thought I am not certain I can break through. And, I will divote myself to patriarch. Maybe, he was acting, but that wasn't shown.

Other times you could see it, like Fang Yuan would say I will help you, while secretly thinking How should I kill this guy, and obtain all benifits. But, in this last arc, he showed his shock when the two patriarch revealed their true intentions.
I am saying many bad things about this, but that is only because the ending is still on my mind. If you ignore this last arc. I will give this 5/5* without hesitation. In this book you will see MC go through many different worlds, pass through many different challenges. Ofcourse he always wins, but that is not the part I am interested in. What I like is how he wins, how he struggles to understand the new world, then as he understands more and more he grows he power alongside it.
My favorite is the Wasteland Arc where he is born as a barbarian, and his cheat is missing.

All in all, loved the book. But, the ending is crap. <<less

Very disappointing MC!! The story is slow and bland, MC have no personality and not even close to being similar to Leylin! Please stop comparing them as it lifted my hope up for nothing. And this MC acts like a clown, with no drive. All he cares about is farming, which is boring af. Being compared to this dummy is an insult to Leylin.

That's just boring.

He has no friends, no lovers, he is not even a member of a sect, he just fights with people around who want to steal from him or afraid of him.

The world building is pretty interesting, and the concept of gaining power from dreams is pretty cool.

Unfortunately, the potential was lost due to poor performance.

1.) Farming is only his side job where he grows his plants (faster then anyone) which are used to increase his cultivation. And he even stops farming after idk. 400ch or so.

2.) MC is not romantic type. So even if someone does love him he doesn't give a sh*t. But better then have 10 wives and always have harem conflicts. And if you expecting that MC have some friends (of side characters) then that's a big NO. Why have friends when you cultivate too fast. In this story there are... more>> no friends only mutual benefits.

3.) Story is compose whit lot of "mini stories" where MC travels to other worlds where the rules of the worlds are different, so he always starts from the scratch. This stories are 50 - 100 ch. long. His cheat is suppose to be that he recover his strength faster then others, but most of the time there are no others (world travelers).

4.) MC is no hero, when someone needs his help, there must be big enough benefits to help. Or when he conducts his plans, there's no hesitation to sacrifice some cities or planets.

5.) The ending is... open. (I HATE open ending :D) It's like hero kill the demon lord and then there was peace.

I liked it, except for the ending. MC is like a robot with only one goal, to get stronger. The scenery is always changing and his cheat is not really important (maybe only botany at the start), so you can say he's a genius.

For me 4.7/5 <<less

This novel is a great journey....

Though the MC is not too likeable (not carefree, but mostly just indiference and no romance story), but he stays on his path till the end.

The last 100 chapter is kinda downhill and kinda ruin it, but I still like the previous story and journey and overall still Good.

Note : the system function is crucial at the start of the story, but later on only function is too expedite MC level back to normal while dream traversing... so it's kinda good the MC not... more>> too dependent with the system, too bad though there's no dialogue or interaction between MC & the system <<less

After seeing all the negative reviews here I know the author must be downhearted so I made an account specifically to review this book.

It is amazing, not only that it shows how an intelligent person should think, it eliminates emotions and focuses on logic and reasoning which are the best qualities. The book has suspense, intrigue and most of all adventure. It leaves you at the edge of your seat wanting more. I recommend to read this book after warlock of the magus world. It will taste better after.

To all... more>> those who dont like the book, keep drinking you haterade, get a life and stop disturbing the author, better yet if you think its not good, do yourself a favor, and keep your dignity and nonsense to yourself. Nobody likes a downer especially someone who doesnt even understand how and what a masterpiece should be and looks like, if you think you can do better than this amazing author, feel free to try and see how that pans out for you.

To all the haters keep hating and dont let success bite you in the face, you weebs. <<less
