Tiariela Norfolk realized that this world was inside the peach-colored ero ero harem story that topped the charts from her past life.

Cute like a small animal, the protagonist joins hands with ikemen of superior quality, and it was a story chock full of age 18 restricted scenes.

Since she was a side character, Tiariela welcomed the ero-oyaji inside of her and planned to peek in frequently.

Due to Tiariela’s behavior, the story begins to go amiss…

“I didn’t mean it this way! I just thought that I should study and observe the ecchi scenes (stealthily from nearby) for future reference!”

Surprisingly cute and funny so far. Rather than a girl escaping flags or trying get all the flags, you have someone COMPLETELY UNRELATED. That's right, the girl is incarnated as a Background A or Background B type. And her goal isn't to get anyone, her goal is to be a peeping tom because she's such a shipper. XD

Too early to give a definite vote, but it's worth reading if you want something fairly lighthearted and interesting to read.

Welp, sadly the switch in translators makes this series unreadable for me. The initial translator did brilliantly, but then Journey to the Sky took over and I can't bring myself to struggle through more than a few chapters.

The story is great, the MC is funny, and I like where it is going, but the translation quality kills me. I can't read it, the English is too broken. I can't. T_T

Ok, so let me start off by saying that if you like the MC and the ML together then the ending is going to make you cry, like a lot.

I personally LOVED this story. The characters are interesting and engaging, everything about it was funny to me. The only downside would be that some romantic aspects of the story aren't really developed well. Like some romantic feelings between characters are implied to happen in the future rather then showing their feelings grow.

Lastly, I know I said this before but the... more>> ending will either leave you dissatisfied, indifferent, happy, or sad. For me I thought it was kind of a cliffhanger ending but oh well. Regardless, I would read this story again.

Spoiler

The biggest reason I was upset by the ending had to be because the ML, who is one of the love interests, ends up getting amnesia and forgets about the MC. Basically, he falls in love with the heroine like he was originally supposed to no longer talks to or associated with the MC. They become completely strangers and instead of having at least become friends the author ends is it with them being kind of like buissness partners!!! I was so upset and sad when I read the ending. No joke I actually cried.

[collapse]

Spoiler

It has come to my attention that the author had made some revisions to the story last August (2017) and I had finished reading the story in April of the same year. So, I hope the ending is a bit different but I can't be sure.

This is what I think based on the summary and the way it's heading so far. MC is a peeping stalker unrelated side character. She has no intention of falling in love or anything. She's not looking for a harem, she's looking AT a harem. A harem which she's unrelated to since she's a side character.

Basically she only wants to peep at ikemen making out with the protagonist of the game. She could easily be thought of as a fujoshi... or maybe she was one in her past life.

Anyways, the... more>> funny baby chapters in the beginning are pretty funny. <<less

《LONG POST ALERT》

Kyaaa!!! It's been a while since I read a complete story with a fluffy happy ending. The pace of the story is slow, but I like how the romance is developed: not out of vague reasons but due to longtime contact between the 2 leads. To be honest, ... more>>

even before I'd known that Melba was Muriel, I'd already started shipping them together. And after reading the few chapters with Melba/Muriel's POV, I felt like they are the OTP. That's why I was extremely shocked and sad to Melba lose his memory and start falling for the MC of the original manga. My heart was bleeding!

[collapse]
If the author ended it like that, I'd have stopped reading anything for a while. But fortunately, the situation was reversed and we got a happy ending.

Now let's come to the good and bad points.

What I like about this novel is that despite having a cliché setting, the development was not that bad. Even though the MC initially wants to peep at the main characters, she realizes her mistakes pretty soon. There is some character development in that sense, both in the MC, ML and a few side characters. The emotions and motives for some characters are explained well and don't seem illogical. And I like how people don't follow the typical eroge/romance ending of getting areverse harem or yandere possessive lovers.

Now, the bad points: In some cases, the development is WAY TOO SLOW. If I hadn't read this in one sitting, I'd be pulling out my hair because of the slow pace in the initial chapters. Good thing it's completed now.

Another problem is regarding the character development. All characters develop to some extent but sometimes it feels a bit too linear, like they can get development in only one way. I really don't like the MC's obsession of trying to maintain the original plotline. I mean she wasn't being forced by a system or anything, so why be so desperate? Maybe she was a fanatic reader that didn't want to derail the plot.

Another thing that bothered me was how the novel ended. Despite having a happy ending, I felt that the end was a bit rushed. I don't know if there are extra chapters but I would've liked seeing the ending of the side characters like
Spoiler

Eugene, Oliver, Levin, Forte etc. Do they stay together? Get married? Who knows. We just get a few lines stating the marriage and happy life of Ricardo and Laurel. And this pairing was the weirdest for me since Ricardo seemed like an abusive person to me and I can't figure out why Laurel would fall for him. I guess it's another example of the author forcefully maintaining the original manga's pairing. I feel like the side characters were described well but abandoned in the end when the MC & ML get together.

Still, I truly enjoyed the story.

Regarding translation, it was ok, but some chapters could use more editing. Now that the story is complete, I hope the translation team edits and proofreads it well. Despite the lackings, I'd like to thank the translation team (s) for patiently finishing the novel. <<less

I agree with officepony. While I appreciate the new chapters coming out, the english is horrendous so I also dropped it after a few chapters (honestly, it's like the "translator" dropped it into google translate, then copied and pasted). It seemed like a nice story and I would've liked to keep going but the bad grammar far outweighs my curiosity of the story.

So far, the story was quite enjoyable. Therefore, 3 stars. It wasn't good enough for me to brave the torturous english but it was a cute read. It's... more>> something different than the usual reincarnation story. <<less

I have read until the latest chapter and I don't know if it is the ending or not (hope it isn't) but as far as I can say, this novel has always surprised me with it's unusual events and revelations.

I've almost read all the reincarnation stories in this website so I sometimes could foresee the typical flow of these genres. But I can't have my foreshadowing powers work in this novel.
So it's great I'm always left shocked in the revelation.

Spoiler

Well, there are drawbacks in the future chapters as the events are fast-paced and the MC just narrates the summary of the major happenings. Well, she's the side character so it's understandable she can't explain in full detail what happened with the MC and the group but only what she had thought that happened in the manga. If the latest was the ending since it's entitled "Epilogue", I just want to cry. It's bitter.... and sweet? But no, it's more in the bitter side for me!

Contrary to what you would expect out from the summary, this isn't like Outaishi where there's ecchi scenes left and right. Nor is it the focus. It's just a newly born woman of around thirty that underestimated the serious consequences of her beloved series translating into reality. Overall, a very cute and comedic story on how her expectations of certain events gets crushed by the ripples she unwittingly made early in the series.

By the latest chapter I've read, the main storyline Tiera knew by heart has ended on a full circle and bittersweet note. My heart hurts, hopefully the author would fully expand on her own happy end since it isn't constrained by the Plot anymore. As the saying goes, Zero is where everything starts...

To be honest, Melba is the sole reason why I did not give up on this novel. Haha. He’s the only character that makes sense. You’d expect our MC to be more sensible given her past life memories, but no. I suppose you could say it’s part of her charm.

As for the other characters... well, at least they did not fall for our heroine unreasonably. Still, still! The writing could really use more refining.

It was hard comprehending the flow of the story. It would go from one to fifty in... more>> an instant without warning and there were times when you would have to think if the character said the words out loud or is it just in his/her mind. This is how crucial punctuation marks are!

The translation needs more work. There are plenty of misused words and some sentences are too vague. That being said, I’m grateful to the translators for this. <<less

Since this is completed, I probably won't rewrite or update my review. My reviews may also contain slight and heavy spoilers (since, well, this is completed), so please avoid it entirely if you want to read it with fresh eyes.

First thing's first - the translation quality dropped after the first few chapters, so it may be a bit difficult to read. That being said, I'm grateful for the translations either way, though if any readers are able to read JP, I highly recommend reading the original version instead.

To be honest,... more>> I'm pleasantly surprised by how good this was. The beginning was pretty generic as far as this genre goes (and I think the author realized this early on and made a sharp turn from her original plan), and there were many moments during the story where I felt like the story felt too rushed. It was likely done on purpose since this takes place from the POV of a mob character who retains some of that characteristics. She doesn't take over the Heroine's role and yet her existence itself causes numerous side effects that she tries to prevent. I also loved that each of the side characters had their own life and roles; nothing was completely revolved around one singular person.

Spoiler

Also, extra points for not falling into the Actually!Evil!Heroine! Or Villainess! Is!A!Shoujo!Protag! Cliches. Each of the two main side female characters were likable, and the Heroine was much in tune with her in-story character while Forte contained so much depth to her unexplored in other novels.

[collapse]

I also loved how the other male characters had their own lives and romances to live out. I didn't care much for Eugene's story, which felt rushed and shoved in, but the fact remains that each had their own (romantic) lives. The twists were also very plesant to read; it's been a while since I actually felt shocked at something that happened.

Of course, I have my complaints - specifically regarding the 3 Mob characters and Ricardo, the plot of Book 5, and and occasionally Tiariela's s*upidity.

Spoiler

After the MC gets assaulted, she realized that the Heroine's circumstances with Ricardo are pretty bad. I was so happy that a novel pointed this out - just because a man is handsome doesn't mean s*xual assault is any less worse, but then just as quickly, this whole revelation gets ignored. And Laurel and Ricardo ends up together. ??!!!? And then there was the war which added a good dose of tension and political backdrop to the setting. I loved it, but at the same time, there was no reference to any politics beforehand so the shift in tone was jarring. Someone also pointed this out, but sometimes Tiariela does s*upid things, like trying to stay true to the original plot for no reason, but luckily much less often than her contemporaries in other novels. Besides, her relationship with Muriel was a joy to watch.

[collapse]
Our own protagonist's relationship got so well developed in comparison that it makes me feel jilted on Laurel's behalf. A healthy romantic development over time? What blasphemy is this?

But regardless, I really liked it. The ending was much more satisfying than some others I've read, though I do wish we could've seen what happened to the other side characters. If you think you can get through all the chapters, then do so since the story itself is worth it. If you can't, then either wait for the translations to be edited one day or go and read the JP raws instead. <<less

This is just the beginning so rating may change.

I sont have much to say on the story and the plot yet other than it seems fine. It's interesting to have an older women as the transmigrated protagonist. Though she's a bit of a pe*vert, she is also self reflecting at times which I can show appreciation for.

She holds an interesting friendship with what sort of can be counted as her only real friend.

I'd probably given this story a 4/5 if it weren't for the recently very poor translation quality. IT's... more>> so bad I can barely understand what is happening. Hopefully this will improve. <<less

I don't know what happened here. I've read worser translations than this, which made me literally drop Kumo Desu-ga in a heartbeat, so reading semi-broken English wasn't too bad.

But the story later goes on from nicely paced narrative to "who knows what is true anymore" narrative.

At times I couldn't tell if our Heroine was "still fortelling future events" of the world, or if those events "actually happened in the form of bad narrative". It wasn't until I got to a POV chapter of another character I realized late that the... more>> future events in which the heroine was "attempting to fortell" actually DID happen.

Spoiler

"Fairy flower Tiara wasn't at the dance held by the Royal Family since she was tired from using her abilities to cure Muriel from his poisoning." -- Levin POV 5

So you're meaning to tell me, that all those story events of Tiara "consulting to Melba about the future events after the dance version of the game: aka Kingdom Wars" was actually real?! And that somehow despite knowing the future, Melba, aka Muriel still somehow got poisoned??? And somehow it was Tiara that nursed him without knowing Melba's true identity?!

... Yeah I don't get it. Good luck trying to explain your way out of this story paradox, author. I'm done reading this. If anyone manages to reach the point where this paradox is explained, please let me know. <<less

Story is great. Translation is mediocre. (Though new translator seems to be doing better with it.)

What I liked:

  • MC really is a mob character
  • Very humorous (esp. regarding the MC's eccentric baking / cooking)
  • Original game capture targets don't all fall for the FL (they have their own arcs)
  • Villainness noble girl trope was unique and cute
  • Plot was engaging, consequences of the storyline change was done well

Overall not a bad read. Maybe try after the new translator gets further with it. <<less

I liked the story but the pacing is all over the place.

As others have said, the translation becomes really bad. The last quarter of the story seems to be just machine translation with no editing at all. I can't tell if it's just terrible translation or also bad writing, but the final quarter of the story stops making much sense and goes extremely fast. You can't tell if major plot arcs are being foretold by the MC or actually happening until later. The final chapter is just excruciatingly bad! So... more>> much is glossed over and not explained. It felt very slapdash.

Also, Levin is just utter, utter cringe. <<less

If im being petty this would be 4 due to the shaky translation, however I think the story itself is interesting. It is fairly cliche and predictable, but it is cute with solid internal consistency and eventhough the characters are just archetype of one personality with nary a second or third dimension it flow nicely with this type of wish fulfilment shojo novel.

I don't know why but this story became too boring for me. Plot elements somehow don't complement each other and abrupt storytelling doesn't help as well. It could be nice fanfic... However, as original story it leaves too much on sidelines. I can't actually feel any personality traits aside assigned 1 dimensional ones in characters.

Melba was the story's one redeeming feature and he provided an original twist to the old Modern-Woman-Becomes-a-Mob-Character-and-Still-Gets-the-ML trope... but the author started spending too much time focusing on the side characters' relationships.

Story about fluffy life, with a nice plot. Can be a long story, but it was nice as it is. Sometime I want more development, but it was unnecessary.

Tragic as it is, but end well. The system of the world is questioning, it wan necessary because if it was not then the story will get tangled.

Sure this is a good reading, and can be touching. Recommended!

When you read the descripition and see the (previous) tags and genre, you expect it to be a spicy version of bakarina, but reality shows that it isn't... which is why I took the liberty to remove those misleading tags...... I think the author mistakenly put it on 18+syosetsu since there's actually nothing of 18+.....

At first there was high expectations for the serie, but the author just went meh, and kept on summarizing what it should have happened in the original story and the mc's shenanigans...... it actually also... more>> felt as she was summarizing mc's life too..... if only the author had done something to make the MC more involved in the story.... *sigh*..... but her involvement was rather subtle... which still created ripples.... the beginning and the end were probably the best arcs..... and this MC is one of the s*upidest I've seen in those last years (not that it's bad, but you just can't help but facepalm and pity those around her)..... I wanted to see more of 3x woman's like actions.....

It was an enjoyable ride, though the translation did not do justice (many times confusing, but seems like they will get an editor to fix it, so luck you new readers). Happy End. <<less

I got a feeling that I already read this story in the past but with a different title. Anyhow, since I forgot about it, I decided to re-read it. My impression of this story was just so-so. It got a tag R-18 but there's no steamy scene at all.

But there were several attempted rap* towards the heroine and MC which a bit disturbing.

[collapse]

What I hate the most in this story was the scummy prince. I don't think he deserved the heroine and Forte was lucky to be able to let go of him. Also, although MC knew about the future from the story, she didn't manage to change anything significant. Sometimes, she even made a mess that almost jeopardized the storyline. That's one thing I didn't like about MC: she still acted like a bystander/reader till the end, like whatever happened got nothing to do with her. <<less
