After he was reborn in a sci-fi ABO world, Xi Wei became the newly born son of the king of the empire. He thought that as the king’s son he could live a grand, carefree life, but unexpectedly the he, the eldest prince, was actually an omega? What the hell was an omega?

There was an alpha who was born on the same day as the eldest prince Xi Wei, and the two children grew up together. When Xi Wei looked at the blond child next door, he always felt that the boy wasn’t pleasing to the eye, so Xi Wei bullied him as a child.

Until many years later…

Looking at the man standing in front of him who was a head taller than him, Xi Wei was dumbfounded.

—He tried to escape, but he eventually still fell into the clutches of his childhood sweetheart.

it started out nice enough, the premise of transmigration + rebirth of the CP was interesting, totally made me wanna watch how their story unfolds in this new sci-fi-esque world

did I got that? U thought. First few chapts were fine, not big bow-wow but ok, then the story introduced us to side CPs

Spoiler

NOW THAT TOTALLY DERAILS THE FOCUS OF THIS STORY, the romance of that one particular parental drama is a level of bland and boring worse than the first congee I cooked

[collapse]

like sure it was needed to push the plot but that took away enjoyment in watching the main CP and slap me with daytime soap opera content so I got bored and bail away, sticking with it till the 40 sumtin' chp was quite a valiant try for me <<less

An entertaining ABO (Omegaverse) novel with super slow burn romance. The premise is pretty interesting where the MC transmigrated along with his previous life memories intact into an infant in another universe where he is considered as rare breed important for the continuity of his species. As an omega he has to live with oppression as his freewill and freedom was taken away due to his unique status in society and even had to conform to arranged marriage. What is worst is that he is essentially a straight male, the... more>> very idea of marrying another male and giving births makes his skin crawl and turns his stomach. Basically the story is focused on how the seme who has transmigrated along with the uke (the MC) tries his very best to wins over the uke whom he has loved long before their reincarnation into this ABO universe. To the seme, it's like he is given a second chance to capture the love of his life which he was not able to in their previous lifetime. This new and unique environment has given the seme new hope as he could now freely pursue the MC without suffering society's condemnation.

I really like that the MC is not a pushover and could totally takes care of himself even though his breed is supposed to be the weaker s*x. He is headstrong and defies the very definition of an omega. He is strong, feisty and highly spirited. Even all those alphas around him are wary of his presence. At times I did pity his devoted and loyal wannabe-seme for having to cater to his willfulness. But that guy is a super resilient and patience even though he knew his chances are rather slim since his target is a highly prideful heteros*xual male. The slow burn romance is frustratingly slow but I have enjoyed the seme's undying devotion and passion towards the uke.

Besides the main couple's lengthy courtship, the story is adequately peppered with some action scenes such as mech and airspace battle plus political conspiracies. It also has interesting side characters with their own set of romances to keep us readers entertained.

I gave this novel a 4 stars because there are some questionable plotlines and I find that the wrap up of the main couple's difficult courtship was too abrupt and hastily done hence a little killjoy there.

This novel elicited feeling from me... Feelings of disappointment. Which is a shame because as other reviewers have mentioned, the translations were really good.

I love the premise around the reincarnation/transmigration and the first years of the leads' lives were very interesting to read about. I also don't mind OP characters since it usually takes away a good amount of cringe and angst from a story when sometimes all you want to read is something easy.

The enjoyment (and plot) falls apart when the leads are separated and the MC goes to... more>> the dedicated omega school. There, he embarks on a mission to change the world and status of omegas in this world, and hey, that's great! He's perfectly primed to do so. He's the first prince of the empire and has proved over and over again that he surpasses what most alphas can do (physically and mentally). Easy peasy, right? WRONG, even with all his accomplishments, the people closest to him treat him like a glass cannon that always needs to be protected. And when we discover there are other badass omegas, people are 'amazed' but still treat them like they somehow became more fragile overnight. To the point where, from some of the character, it was OOC. And towards the end there was this whole film industry situation? Felt like it came out of left field.

This novel was so disappointing that I actively want to avoid the rest of the books. I don't feel the need to stay in this book's universe any longer. <<less

Wonderful story! Underrated. It has been while since I read this story but I was pleasantly surprised. There was a nice plot and MC and ML were smart, likeable characters.

I loved how ML was so devoted to MC, how he worked so hard to be strong and be worthy of MC. He chased him from their last life to this one. Also it had very decent side characters. Fleshed out story.

Some readers complain that the romance is slow, but it didn't feel like that to me. ML loved MC very... more>> early on. So, this is not the type of story that both parties slowly fell in love with eachother. Also, when there is sufficient plot and the general writing style has a pleasant flow and pacing it doesn't feel frustrating if the romance is not the main focus in the 1st half.

This a 'real' story in an interstellar setting and not the usual interstellar formula (instant success/super OP MC with super powers, lots of live streaming fans) kind of story that strives to give you an instant thrill through the OP-ness of MC and ML. It's a breath of fresh air. I intend to read the other stories in this shared universe, ABO cadets. <<less

Right after finishing ABO Cadets, I binge-read this through Google Translate and though it was interesting, it pales in comparison with ABO Cadets.

This novel is about the story of Caesar's (ABO Cadets ML) older brother who is a transmigrator from Earth. Nobody knew about it except for the ML who was also his bestfriend on Earth. The ML had always loved ML back on Earth but since the MC was straight, he dared not confess and just stayed as a friend. So imagine how happy ML was when he found... more>> out that MC also transmigrated and an Omega at that!

The story started from birth until adulthood where the MC did everything so as not to have the same fate like the other omegas. He is known as a violent prince so no alpha is willing to marry him except for the ML of course.

I rated this novel at 4 stars because at some point while reading the school arc, I got bored and that's where the 1 star was taken out. :) I would still recommend it though because after reading ABO Cadets, you won't be able to stop yourself from being curious about Xi Wei's love story! This, I guarantee! :D <<less

This book is actually objectively a piece of tr*sh literature. Why did I read so much if it? The translator has been amazing and I feel sorry for all the high quality work she was doing. Also at the start it sounded "ok".

Like it had this good start on "omegaist (feminist) movement" etc but then the feminist movement is reduced to smuggling illegal suppressant so they can avoid being forced into a marriage with an unknown person at 18 years old... But then this falls into yeah if the other... more>> person really loves you you will love him at some point... so it's ok if the person that really loves you and has been stalking you and faking being your friend in the hopes of f*cking you kinda abuses you a little. Also it's ok if my sisters get married off to someone they barely know without ever telling them about the possibility of taking their time.

Also the book has three main couples, and all three are the cliché thrope " one of them falls in love and the other is not interested (like zero interest or disgust) for years before being tired/isolated/forced into falling in love". Like can you be that much of a piece of sh*t of an author. I legit feel dirty after reading so much. I kept hoping it wouldn't be this bad and would get better, like at least one of them would go for someone they actually are attracted to and like.

Despite the translator best effort the story is all over the place. The timeline makes zero sense, the MC first was all for studying combat and stuff but then he's perfectly ok going to the omega university and waste four years of his life studying how to have s*x and like cooking? The politics make absolutely zero sense, the emperor has zero power, the military has full power but it's split and confusing. The school system has zero sense. The heat/pheromones is supposed to be this very problematic thing but then even people that don't take the hormones take their sweet time getting married if it's convenient for the plot. <<less

Definitely a mixed bag of marbles...

Tell me why I thought this was a guide-sentinnel story at first LMAO. The ABO setting caught me off guard, but I did enjoy the first couple of chapters of this story. Two individuals—a movie star & his agent—end up dying from a car crash incident. They transmigrate over to an ABO world, being born respectively as a prince & a general's son. One is pining over the other, but the latter is straight as a steel rod. Bending him requires a lot of perseverance... more>> & patience... qualities that our henpecked ML has in surplus.

Let's get it straight: this isn't gonna be your cup of tea if you want mindless fluff & spice. You can read other ABO stories or transmigration tales for that. This story tries very hard to conjure up an interesting plot, but honestly its execution was poor. I like the whole feminist approach, gender equality, yadayadaya.. BUT it was getting a little too much for me. It felt toxic, sexist even & the plot became so convoluted that I didn't even know what was going on anymore. Sure you can argue that the filler side ships were meant to explore the omega-alpha relationship & give background on differing perspectives, but it was just too excessive to even work for the plot. The fact that the main CP only started to work out their problems within the last 20 chapters made me want to throw a table. I'll throw out a good quote that MC said tho:

"But just because a man was good to him and liked him didn't mean he had to accept him."—cc71

TL;DR this is a skippable novel. Its only good quality stems from the end result that all ships are happy. Other than that, you can easily just eat up this novel once & then forget it right after <<less

ok 3 stars cause of the god send tops. I hate all the shou except for maybe adrian. MC is a an omega who look down on weak omega who can give birth apparently but like why?? I know you a god male from planet earth so it is weird for men to be pregnant but damn I feel attacked when I read it. I always think that the gong are all to nice maybe a bit of a simp lol too nice. The shou all took their alphas for... more>> granted like what you try to point out? I know they wanna say that independent wo/man can stand by themselves but what use of independence if they treat their man bad? I actually kinda wanna read a novel which for once an ABO that will explore the strength of an omega instead of just you know trying to beat the alpha like an alpha. I want an omega defeating an alpha by using the charms of an omega.

I don't like Randy cause maybe because I think that he was kinda just like using the general although he proves at the end that he truly loves him but it still rubs me wrongly.

I also don't understand the trend of ABO mixing with mecha? Like why mecha? I guess you can't just make an ABO with having military rank to highlight the difference between an alpha and an omega.

I like it when author actually try to create a good side pairing but to focus a lot of chapters on the said side pairing is to me just stretching the already slow story especially since I freaking hate Randy.

That's all for my ranting lol <<less

{MTL: Finished} It's an alright story. I rate it 3.5 due to a lot of reason. The plot (contradictions) and characterisation could have improvements but the multiple A-O couples are entertaining tho. I usually tolerate the lack of research in a webnovel but the loose corners in this story is too hard to ignore. But the good intention is there, so I just focused on that. Perhaps after the english translation finishes I'll reread again and see if it could change my opinion.

After one life in earth chapter, the story... more>> focused on their rebirth. From babies to grown-ups. MC has the attitude of a gong and it's hard for the ML since MC has the worldview of original earth hot blooded male. MC isn't really fond of children but relented in the end and had children for his alpha's sake. I like the royal family, they are warm and loving, not like the usual devious ones we kept on seeing everywhere.

The MC is kickass and I find his violent temper funny. The starting part is really good but I started getting dissatisfied around the middle. It's like it's lost it's purpose and despite how OP our MC is, it felt like he had become a supporting character IN HIS OWN STORY when we arrive at the supposed climax. Odd that this story is rated higher than ABO Cadets when the plot over there is more interesting.

So far, the story seems to have much promise; the MC (Ji Ran / Xi Wei) is an interesting character who seems like he would be the alpha male type, but very quickly in his reincarnation, he's established as an Omega in the new world. I suspect his 'assistant' might but the other guy reborn as the alpha born on the same day.

Pros :

The MC started as a strong independent omega then gis character setting just went weak. Kinda got overshadowed by ML, I expected more of MC cus all the things MC has done but the ending was meh.

The ML is caring towards MC. Love couples that have good communication. The buns are also cute, it's also rare to find boy and girl alphas children.

... more>> The other side characters don't get overshadowed. They have their own story line and stuff.

Cons :

Craig and Randy story is way more interesting, author spent too much time on Carlo and Aiden. The story lost its momentum at the second half. It's not a bad read but good to past the time, I skimmed through some chaps like the wind. <<less

I got interested in the story because I thought it would be a simple and calm story, but when I read it, I couldn't help but be amazed. The way the ABO universe was built and the way the ML loves the MC is indescribable, the affection and patience he had are worthy of admiration, I rarely met characters like that and this was one of the great reasons I had to love this story so much.

I had very high hopes for this novel but there are too many things from with it.

 1. Children are way too mature for their age
 2. The protagonist seems too immature for his real age
 3. The genres are not executed properly (this ruined the whole story for me and honestly seemed a bit extra, like why did it suddenly become sci-fi and a sort of weird mix between pacific rim and ironman? Like WHY??)
 4. Slow story progression
I do not recommend this to anyone, especially for people who aren't fans of extreme slow burn. If... more>> you like slice of life stories, this definitely is NOT for you! <<less

At the start, you can see that the idea's decent. Just by the synopsis, I mean. A casual romance story between a reincarnated (with memories) MC and a "childhood" sweetheart who captures MC's heart.

Ah, wait. Chapter 1 is a pointless interlude about MC's past life, which literally didn't need to happen, but it's very extremely pointless, and we can instantly tell that MC's agent is in love with MC. Not only could that have been a lot more implicit, but the MC was a star actor? An actor should have... more>> a high EQ, but I guess not.

So actor MC is a gentle, kind, and caring guy. And he dies, is reincarnated, and we see baby ML. From the start, we can literally instantly tell that ML is the agent's reincarnation (except, clearly, without memories, since he's doing embarrassing things so cute).

Instantly after being told that MC is a gentle, kind, and caring guy, though, we see things from the MC's perspective. Instead of the gentle, kind, and caring guy that we were expecting, though, since the author kept trying to reiterate that unnecessary fact instead of letting us figure out his personality for ourselves, MC's some arrogant and misogynistic guy against "weak" omegas who can give birth. Like, maybe I can get that a little, since he was from Earth, but I always find it weird how MCs of ABO novels never know what ABO is at the start and also feel disgusted when they realise what it is. What gentle? A baby wants to get close to MC, so he decides to bully the baby.

Rant aside, I have to continue this vomit of anger review.

So we get a few timeskips. The first one is basically MC's omega uncle telling MC to be more than a baby-machine. Later, of course, the uncle gets forced into a marriage that he somehow instantly becomes a "power woman" type man in, and, boom, he's pregnant. Literally all the timeskips involve pregnancies.

So, suddenly, we see things from a five-year-old ML's perspective. Just a cute puppy-dog figure who the MC's rude to for no reason except maybe he thinks it's okay since they're childhood friends. ML, has weird dreams about being someone else, MC tells him to visit the school psychiatrist, and, BOOM, he knows his whole past. Seems way too fast for me, but we'll roll.

He discovers who MC is literally a chapter later, and we have ML rambling about his childhood love. He basically eats MC's tofu (steals intimacy) and plots to manipulate MC into falling for him. Literally, ML talks about "ravaging" MC. Like, ew.

When ML tells MC who he is (which honestly sounds disgustingly like a confrontation of "justice" despite MC keeping his identity a secret to protect himself), MC just instantly believes him and complains about being a "weak" omega meant to reproduce. What intelligent, gentle, kind, and caring guy? MC, an utter idiot. Like, I'm sorry, but it's true.

After this, though, I couldn't read anymore. You know why? No, not because of MC being uncomfortable with this. Not because, instead of showing that he's a strong omega, MC acts like a weak brat. Instead, it's because of what ML thinks. We're directly told that ML finds this alpha-omega arrangement convenient for himself. Like, good for you, but the MC's still unhappy about this? And, like, he acts like the instinctual possession and stuff is good? No, it's basically legalised r*pe.

Obviously, it's clear that MC will end up marrying ML as an omega and have kids too the end of the summary showed that clearly, and so did a lot of the other reviewers.

Basically:

I can't stand the personality-contradictions in the MC (gentle, kind, caring guy is actually discriminatory, homophobic, and thinks he's above others). I don't like how fast ML discovered things. I despise ML's borderline-rapist personality (is intimate with the MC so he can slowly touch MC sexually and likes being the alpha to MC's omega so he can easily possess MC). MC was an actor but is incredibly low in EQ and is apparently low in IQ too when convenient for the plot. MC is clearly unhappy about the treatment of omegas (oh, wait, he discriminates against them too) but later is perfectly happy to have kids and all with the MC. As in: he's weak-willed. Others say the world-building is bad. I'm glad I stopped before I wasted too much of my own time

TL;DR:

The bad kind of cliché. Involves typical dumb MC and overly-possessive ML. Side characters are 2D, and omegas are weaklings. Bad world-building and unused foreshadowing. Overall a waste of time and anger.

But the translators are great; please check them out. ≪3 <<less

It's very boring. But the translation is so good. I read this just because the translation is so smooth. Everything about this novel is like plain yogurt. No chemistry at all. 3.5 or 4 stars, dk why but I the stars ain't showing. Fair warning, this is literally slow romance cause it starts from when they are babies and there are no magical time skip. Im on chap 58 and the side characters/ side couples are the ones having sweet scenes and all that, they even have their own back story and they take up like whole 3 chapters without any important events concerning the main couple, I'm literally just scrolling through those cause honestly the side couple's stories are a... more>> bit predictable and I seriously am not interested with them. Tags should have added multiple couples cause they seriously feel like separate protagonists with their own story in this novel, it's quite annoying. I'll just skim my way to the ending and comment again.

NVM I'm dropping this at chap 62, there's still no progress on main couple. The protag Xi Wei doesn't even have the slightest feeling for the ML, ML is just doing whatever. Side couples are flourishing in their own love stories. ANW, just saying that unfortunately this wasn't my cup of tea but it may be others cup of tea so am not discouraging you to read this just wanna let you know that it's literally a slow romance and not in a fun way kkkk. <<less

I'm not sure why this novel is getting so many bad reviews. Its not that bad in my opinion. Is there some aspects of it that could be better, yes. But overall, its a pretty decent novel.

The story is about the MC, Ji Ran, who dies in a fatal car accident and is reborn as an omega baby in a ABO universe as, Xi Wei. He doesn't want to be an omega and can't reconcile the fact that he is one. He works hard to prove that his worth is... more>> not defined by his secondary gender. He is also rude, in your face and very opinionated. But it makes sense for him to be that because of what happens later in the story. Can't be a stereotypical omega when put in that position. He ain't no pushover.

Spoiler

Xi Wei becomes the second in command of the underground omega alliance.

[collapse]

The ML, Yu Qianhe, also dies in the same accident as the MC and is reborn as an alpha, Klaire. He's the basically a typical ML and does his best to get the MC without him realizing his being lured into a trap.

The other characters are cute. I especially liked Carlo and Adrian.

My issue with this novel stems from the fact that some of them are pretty one dimensional and the author never seemed to develop certain characters fully. They were just there to be there. There was some plot holes and false science involved to so I took a star off. Also, what happened to the beta's in this novel? The only "beta" introduced wasn't really a beta at all but an omega in disguise. But overall, this novel was pretty decent and worth the read. <<less

This was a cute and heartwarming story so 4 stars for me. The translation was good and the romance was ok but it was slightly slow. If you don't care about a complicated plot and just want to read something simple this is for you. It started off strong, the middle was meh, but it got better at the ending and had some major angst moments that had me crying. But I have to admit that the MC is really clueless about feelings to the point it gets kind of... more>> annoying and the ML gets friendzoned so many times, and the side romances are lowkey better than the main couple. <<less

The best thing about this novel was the excellent translation, thank you and kudos!

For ABO, this isn't bad. Normally ABO is not my cup of tea (outside of p*rn or something) because it's one of the most problematic worldbuilding settings to take seriously. ... more>>
Spoiler

Where literally "biology" is the reason for oppressing omegas/aka, bottoms/anyone who take on the female role. And r*pe, alphaism, physical strength, is something to be celebrated? As if we don't have enough of those bullsh*t biology studies in real life to explain oppression of black people, minorities, other cultures, etc.

[collapse]

That said, this is overall a very fluffy read. Some things don't really make sense within the world itself, but it attempts to break standard ABO tropes without really breaking them. It's kind of interesting that the MC is an omega, top of his class, can beat down everyone... yet it's implied that the ML (alpha) is on par or stronger than him. So once again, we have a really OP character (supposedly the bottom) who isn't allowed to be stronger than the ML (the top), sound familiar?

There's also a lot of problematic things that are treated fairly lightheartedly by the author.
Spoiler

For example, the MC suffers through attempted r*pe and the ML "bites" him with the claiming bite to help him through it. Then afterwards, every side character comments on the bite and the author writes the MC reacting embarrassed instead of uncomfortable.

This entire sequence struck me as so wrong.

The MC was previously written as extremely resistant and unhappy about being forced to allow the claiming bite, but then when a side character speaks about it with suggestive glances or language, he doesn't react negatively at all.

If someone had truly gone through an almost-r*pe and then was forced to do something they previously found utterly disgusting, and their friends tease them about it, bro you would not be seeing that shy/embarrassed reaction.

[collapse]

But that should be expected from a CN novel.

I was already pretty impressed that the MC
Spoiler

became leader of resistence for omegas, tutored the ML, had the best grades, and ended up achieving his dreams to direct his own movies.

First off, thanks to banoffee for finishing this translation. You did a great job.

This was average for me. I liked the romance between all the couples. ML slowly "cooked" the MC. Their relationship was great. I loved the fact that ML did not take advantage of MC when he was drugged. ML was patient and respectful of MC's wishes. However, the world setting is a let-down.

The whole monarchy and military thing, interstellar travel defying common sense, the sudden rise of democracy after the rebellion. Not of it made much sense.... more>> It would have been logical if our accomplished MC was seen as advocating for omega rights or something. The time skips and plot twists are weird.

Just read this as a second chance story for the ML to fulfill his dreams. In their past life MC (straight) was a star and ML his agent. It would have been tough for them to be together. In the interstellar world, them being together was no biggie and they even had kids. Good for you ML....

Overall, the romance is better than most ABO novels without scummy ML. World building wise, not so great. <<less
