This novel does not deserve to be compared to House MD, team medical dragon, grey anatomy, or any good medical TV series.

The more of a boring Slice of Life type of novel without comedy or romance to help highlight the novel. The mystery tag is useless because there's pretty much no mystery except for the fact that he somehow got medical knowledge from his coma and we the readers don't know how except that the author said so and we have to take that. I studied Pre-Med and although the... more>> medical knowledge is correct but overall execution of the story is bland. I think the author should have more time building up and creating a suspenseful medical problems instead of just throwing it out there without basic writing build up. <<less

This one has potential. Its a drama about genius doctor climbing his great career, twisted with transmigration novelty. I can see how this novel will make a hit after 100+ chapters, if the MC stay mature on its right path. Expect to see more!

EDIT: Revised it down to 2 stars now that I've finished it. It gets really heavy on the wish fulfillment in some of the later chapters.

Recommended: A decent medical drama, but rather episodic and with tons of plot convenience. If you don't mind that, go ahead.

If half-stars were available, I'd put this at 3.5. This novel isn't bad; the plot and the characters are there, and the medical scenarios are fairly grounded (so far, no unexploded ordinance stuck inside a patient's chest or anything). It just moves at breakneck speed.... more>> If you've read other Korean novels here, a common complaint is that the ending feels rushed. This novel feels like a rushed ending pretty much from the start. Also, the protagonist is a walking ill omen. I mean, sure, events need to happen for the story to go on, but the sheer amount of accidents and sudden sickness that occur around him (especially outside of the hospital) even before the start of series just seems ridiculous. <<less

For those who would like a medical novel, then this could be a good one to start with but not the best.

I'm dropping this because it feels too unrealistic even though it's a fantasy. The ethics of MC seems questionable for me like sure you'll save a life or help someone sick but he seems to be overstepping the boundary of what you should normally do from what not to do.

E.g. You found someone in pain, give them a diagnosis, then tell them what to do. Sure you have the... more>> knowledge but do you have the qualifications to do this.

In the end, I'm just cynical and irritated since I'm in a pre med course and hate MC being a know it all and helping people just because they need help <<less

Reading this is a bit like watching an episode of House MD or any medical TV series. It's not a kind of novel I'm familiar with but I enjoyed a lot what I read until now.

MC lost his identity but gained medical knowledge and saves people. There is some obvious plot armor, and at the same time I find it very reasonable as the story is very short (~160 chapters altogether).

You follow the MC in his everyday life and the different characters begin to appear, so I am not too... more>> sure about what the main storyline is for now. I expect the story to be one big arc and hope the author won't go astray until the end of the story.

To conclude: 5 stars because I didn't spot any obvious flaw either in the story or the translation. <<less

Actually, this novel is super great. Well, someone said that it's not realistic if there is this.. or that... Uh, we speak about novel right? Where there will be fantasy or not everything will be logic in it, like how come there is accident and all. To me, I don't care about it at all.

If I like it, then I like it. If I don't understand the term then I will skip it, as simple as that.

At first, I hesistated to read it because multiple personalities tag. Hehh, his other... more>> personalities just come for one chapter and I didn't see him at all. Someone also said that the ending is a bit rush. Hmm, to me the ending is fine. If we make the chapter longer, we will be bored right? After all MC is doctor, what he would do is to treat his patient, etc. Just, what would you expect?

Overall, I enjoy it. <<less

Good and serious stuff but highly entertaining. On the same caliber with doctor theme manga like team medical dragon, grey anatomy tv series etc. Im not a doctor but I enjoy this one, the technical terms and medical procedures explained carried some weight (not like cliche novel that only explained shallowly what the desease and the cure is). Highly recommended sure hope that in the future the dirty politics of hospital procedure not gonna surface and hinder the MC (that subject is not my favorable topic). I'll keep this on... more>> my reading list. <<less

The novel is pretty good, characters are well-fleshed out and they each have their own twists. MC is level headed, and does not get ahead of himself even with his experience from his past life.

Looking forward to see how the story will develop in the future. Do give it a try, I'm sure you won't be dissapointed!

My thoughts

A light short novel, an easy one to read. Even if there's a lot medical terminologies it was explained by very easy to understand.

The ML, a pilial to his parents. A good friend, a better doctor. A Pk one.

... more>> The story shows how a doctors run their life in the hospital. How they deal, and lots of things.

This one is realky light, sometimes you may laugh, or cry a little bit.

Its not a heavy drama, a light one.

It has romance, but not the focus, only in the first few chapter and to the last.

A typical Korean love story. A very mature one.

You can finished reading this for 2 days like I did.

If you want to read a new genre, definitely you can take this.

It explains the mysterious guy in his dream, how he gained his talent in medicine.

And Also, I like how the ML represent himself first. A normal teenager, who wants to have everything. Having negative issues in his life. How he will take himself to be a better one.

Here you'll see how he evolve in the story. But in part like receiving a Nobel Prize Award, that's insane in rejecting.

Its a matter of pride in yourself how you made a contribution to the world. Its a very big one.

Anways, THANK YOU team translators. You did very well in translating.

I recommend you to read this, for a change only.

Ps. The links Gravity Tales are not working. Starting c41 onwards.

And, it has a same aura in the GOD'S SONG. A korean novel also.

Novel is very bland; the MC is too boring. After the accident, he develops a sick obsession with treating people along with some magically acquired knowledge and experience. The only facet of his character that matters is his identity as a doctor, because his personality and all interactions outside of patient and doctor are shallow.

Tl;dr Good premise, but poor execution. Still worth a read.

This is such an amazing novel. I really love MCs character. It reminds of duty of doctor and work ethics. I really love the way MC has grown up till the end.

Its totally worth a read.

Would have been great, but the blatant "everything is your old self's fault" plot is overused in a bad way.

It's like half of the major characters he meet, he did something bad to before his coma.

The plot convenience is also blatant, the MC is like Edogawa Conan, wherever he is, trouble will happen.

Decent novel, just have bad executions here and there.

LOL! This novel is totally similar to the Korean medical dramas. Nevertheless, it is an enjoyable read so far, seeing that there is only 154 chapters, we can see the progress of the entire plot will end just like a Korean medical drama.

I don't usually make reviews that early on, but I just had to this time.

I really, really like the MC's personality post-coma. We still have no idea what exactly happened to him but the author seems to enjoy throwing us crumbs to hold on to, which I strangely find myself enjoying.

The way the MC gets out of sticky situations is praise-worthy, I like that he is level-headed and pragmatic even under pressure.

The pace so far has been great, and I can't wait to learn more about him as the story... more>> goes on.

TL; DR: READ. You will not regret. At least so far, it's a 5 stars for me. <<less

Completely new type of plot so far and is a pretty good psychological thriller. The quality of the translated English is great with a good story flow. If you get into this expecting a xianxia type novel, you'll be disappointed. I'd recommend this for anyone who wants something different.

It was ok. Do take seriously the slice of life genre.

About the pace of the story:

Spoiler

the story goes from his teens to lets say almost 30s. So to do that in 155 chapters there's a lot of fast forwards: middle school (If I remember correctly), high school, university, internship, residence, study trip (let's call it like that), military, some time between and the ending.

[collapse]

About the psychological genre:

Spoiler

Even though it's supposed to be "psychological" it doesn't feel like it. There's some stuff related to that but it's not what you think you might find in a truly psychological novel.

[collapse]

About the romance:

Spoiler

just a little bit of romace so one cannot say there's none.

[collapse]

About the ending:

Spoiler

boring ending. Right before the ending he wins a Nobel prize but because he just loves to save lives he about the fame that might bring to him.

On the one hand, fun medical stuff, decent characters and decently writing (better than some other KR I read recently). The translation is average. On the other hand, the plot is a big weakness. The pacing of the second half is off, the main character is a harbinger of bad luck throughout the novel (pissed off people before coma, accidents and injuries everywhere nearby him afterwards), the romance is subpar, and characterization is sometimes compromised to serve the very simple plot. The ending is chock full of wish fulfillment and... more>> feels rushed. It's OK for a webnovel. Between a two and a three. <<less

Sweet story, but a bit unsatisfying. The novel had potentiel for more, but the author unfortunately rushed it and with a lot of unnecessary twists and turns, especially the last 17 chapters.
