And I feel this novel will end up having not the ending I hope for Su Ran. I saw a lot of reviews and im not againts any of them, we all have different points of view. I just wanted to express mine. The r*pe and all that I dont take it as people make it sound, cuz she does it willingly. He abuse her need, but its not just that, its more like venting his own frustration on her, blaming her. Even if there are feelings after all. I will stop reading now. Cuz im not in the mood to keep reading so much ploting and angst in one go. I will probably read till the end at some other time. MC: she is strong, I like her.
She never victimize herself. She does what she has to do, including getting in a s*x relationship with her annoying husband just to save her son. What I cant swallow its her motherxfather relationship and why she keeps doing what they want. Her sister and father are total asshol* and her mother is just a pitiful sick woman who only cares about not being separated from her man even if he clearly is by her side only to have a bargain chip on his daughter.
Cuz he was forced by his family to marry a woman he didnt like just because she got pregnant from being both drugged by his later father in law. I even can understand why is so angry and not trusting her at the begining. But thats not a reason to treat her the way he did when he came back after 4 years apart.
Cuz she left everything that had a meaning to her, just to please her in laws cuz she was so in love with her boyfriend, they were together before the other two had to get married, and she accepted that fate just to be with him. Later she lost him, and he realy didnt care about her and abandned her. She was angry, and frustrated. I get why she did everything (im not saind she has the right to do it, but not judging her). But I think its better to let go when things dont go your way. I belive she had to let go before doing anything. But where would the plot be if she does that?
I really want to drop this novel because of the ML but the story plot makes me want to continue. And there are scenes you get fired up and feel romantic excitement but still I hate the male lead. I can't understand he's intelligent but he can't see the schemes of his mistress moreover, he got her pregnant but luckily she lost the baby because of her s*upidity, insecurities and shamlessness (imagine she's only a mistress but she have the guts to bully our MC whos the legal wife).
This is an utter sh*t show. MC is weak. ML is a spoiled man-child who tortured the MC while delaying life-saving treatment to his own son, who btw had no choice in being born to a weak-willed woman and a spoiled man-child.
Nothing at all from this story says complex to me. It's honestly pure and utter rubbish. I gave it a chance cause everything else I was reading was either on hiatus or updating. I like a dog-blood plot like the next gal; however, this plot was bloody ridiculous.
If this situation happened in real life, the story would have ended with her getting an abortion since she was rap*d btw, making a police report, and/or reporting her family for drugging her. But only if she was in the West. Unfortunately, the novel is based in the East so she probably would have been judged if she made a report, got an abortion, or reported her family (plus fined (filial piety and all that bulls***)). But she definitely could have gotten an abortion at least!
MC is torchered to death, but still forgive the ML. She is clever, have a job, but because ML said he now loves her, he wil get the girl.
