My memories of my past life returned when I hit my head on a rock. I am Katarina Claes, the eight-year-old daughter of a Duke. While I was struggling with a high fever, it was decided that I would become a prince’s fiancée. I have now realized that this is the world of an otome game I played in my previous life.

I also realized that I had become the villainous noble girl who got in the way of the protagonist and her capture target… if the protagonist got a good ending, I would be exiled from the country with only the clothes on my back, while in the bad ending, I would be killed by the capture target… where’s my good ending!? Do I only get bad endings!?

I want to overcome all the destruction flags somehow and reach old age!

This novel is an enjoyable read for what it is, it is deserving of it's 4.5 star rating however if you do not like dumb/weak protagonists who never grow then this might not be the novel for you. I do believe that you should honestly stop reading at V4 because I believe reviews about later volumes are likely true.

To clarify it unashamedly embraces it's identity as a otome game novel and is solely focused on the plot device. While a lot of previous reviewers have commented about the MC's never... more>> experiencing any character development and is a 'dumb' type of MC, I do not believe that's an inherent flaw of the novel in-fact it's an essential plot device based on the Protagonist's inherent strengths and weaknesses. However there are limitations as to how long this can be prolonged, with the limited worldbuilding I would not find it an enjoyable read if I were to continue reading it. I'd highly recommend reading novels with the Fast Learner or Genius Protagonist tag if you prefer characters that learn fast, have information symmetry, and know how to perfectly manipulate the various systems within the world. <<less

In short, good for the first two, maybe three volume.

It's well written enough that it's a pretty enjoyable, but there are not a lot of things going for it.

MC is super innocent, (kind of dumb), super dense (because she caught up too much with her own head). Other characters just exist to fall in love with the MC. Magic exist for the sake of plot convenience. Any kind of conflict just appeared out of nowhere and solved by the power of 'love and peace'.

It's pretty decent when it's still... more>> in the confine of the supposed otome game (hence the first two volume), but after that it just went all over the place. Like I don't know what this novel is trying to be. Otome game-sekai? Reverse harem isekai? No brain wholesome isekai? <<less

Heartwarming, fluffy read. I really suggest you read this if you don’t want any drama, but if you dislike dense, and I mean really dense female leads, then I suggest not. This was one of my very first otome game reads in NU and this story is just full of fluff. Bakarina just sucks everyone in her black hole harem (except dogs) and she doesn’t even know it. The side stories where we see other characters’ points of view just really make me laugh and overall I love this story... more>> as well as Bakarina, it’s really made me an otome game/villainess story lover. <<less

Interesting and cute story but katarina is wayyyyy to dense. I mean between being dense and s*upid there some difference and the MC is plain s*upid. She can't do anything, don't understand a sh** and has no common sense whatsoever. The harem is big (boys and girls) but cute so it's an inoffensive story.

I read till the chapter 35 (the initial end for this novel) which is a good ending for all. I tried to read the LN as well but got irked on because one the character (perhaps the "supposed" love interest for the protagonist) decide to go wild in his chase for her. Man, wish they annulled the engagement so everyone, I mean, every single love interest had chance for fair fight for this (idiotic) heroine. But no, they decide to go for those very goddamn cliche f*cking bait for this... more>> kinda trope. The fiance remain as her other half and ya know what happened next. Typical Japanese trope I say. So, yeah, it's a decent read. <<less

I honestly say that this is not Isekai. And not the little girl's Shoujo This novel is everyone. I understand that some people want MC to develop their thinking. But I think it's the idea that Suck!

The body of the MC or the subject matter is very clear that this is the story of a person's relationship that "I don't want to be an enemy to anyone, so can I become friends?"

The story of the person that power is not everything. Like Isekai! Or need to be wise as Otome,... more>> other matters...

Do you want her to fumble herself to get along with other people? I think MC is a good character. Why would you need her to do something like that? She makes everyone accept her, even though she is s*upid and incompetent, and has very little innate power.

The mind that can overcome the magic of darkness and the friendship of everyone She made me able to read Otome and easily love the MC of the story.

I really thought that Isekai had nothing good like a shit. Because at least it still has soil benefits in farming!

Spoiler

I understand that the writer wants to finish writing in 2 books. But because readers like it, it is necessary to continue writing But the latter book seems to be very good. In the third book, the writer may not be able to set himself up. But the story he wrote is really fantastic. I can't wait to see the anime. Of course, if it makes a bad image or cuts off the main story and makes it bad, I'll curse that studio until death. HaHaHaHa!!

Hilarious, sweet and heartwarming novel. I like this novel, whenever I feel angry, I read this novel and make me laugh so much. MC is fun, sweet, caring, hilarious, and dense. I like how she prepare thing or toy to protected herself from being killed off.

It was.. Pretty average. If you like cookie cutter reverse harem novels then this is for you. I am glad I read it but I was disappointed when I thought i'd finally found something good to read.

I really love the characters and the story plot, though the only thing that irks me is how dense the main character is. Their feelings are so obvious in some chapters that it is sometimes painful to read how dense she is that she cant see it. If you can get passed how dense the main character then its enjoyable to read.

This is a lighthearted novel that follows the MC who is transfered to a villain in a otome game so she tries to act to avoid her fate.

The MC is quite dense and doesn't realize all the effects of her actions which lead to the formation of a harem.

Overall, at least the main story is definitely worth reading. The writing is done well, using the 1st person perspective throughout the novel and switching on and off between other characters which allows the readers to understand their thoughts and backgrounds.

As a... more>> negative though, I felt sometimes the constant focus on introducing new people didn't allow to dig deeper on the rest of the characters and if this novel continued down on this path it might decrease my interest on it, however since it's a short novel this didn't bother me too much. <<less

One of the first good transmigration stories I read, it's a classic villainess insert that turns into a dense and hot-headed heroine that everyone loves. A feel good story.

Really enjoyable read. The second volume would have been a logical point to end the story and a part of me is a little sad to see more chapters in the works.

Really looking forward to getting a LN for this though.

Its a very fun to read romance comedy, if you like dense and pure hearted Main Characters, this is for you! Bakarina is such an innocent tomboy that breaks the norm each time, so you wont get bored! Sadly, nobody is translating it anymore.

I start reading this novel because I saw it has a good rating, more than 400 vote on 5 star. After reading it, I'm confused.. I thought all those character still between 8 to 10 years old. But why they said something about seducing, challenging someone, and those person is amusing, or lack of appeal, like a teenager or an adult? I don't get it..

Maybe if the range of age is between 13 to 16, I can accept it..

But, if "its just fantasy" reason got thrown for an excuse, well,... more>> okay.. *Hands up <<less

I love, love, love this story and everything it stands for. I'm serious-- the very reason why I got into light novels/web novels in the first place is because of my hype for this thing (the start of the manga was good, although it sucks it doesn't have more updates). Katerina is an awesome yet oblivious girl, and her harem is just-- her harem is simply delectable and so sweet it gave me diabetes.

I think I'm tearing up a bit.

Good job, Bakarina. You've successfully evaded all death flags and formed... more>> a legion of beautiful monsters ready to burn the world in your beck and call. <<less

This is THE otome game reincarnation story. While the story does have serious plot progression, the focus is on the ridiculous comedy that ensues when the extremely dense main character, while attempting to avoid flags that would destroy her as per the original game's progression, accidentally ends up capturing EVERYONE, even the other female love interests. The story is mostly light hearted and shamelessly hilarious. 5 out of 5 would recommend to any and everyone.

The MC is naive and clueless but very hard-working in her own way.
All the characters are lovable, and you get to see things from their perspective.

Nice and fluffy~ If you want to read a feel good novel, well... you've got it right here!

Spoiler

Honestly it's a bit silly how all of them fell for her but... that's what you get when you randomly raise flags in an otone game word! That's my bakarina!

[collapse]

Anyway, reading this novel will make you feel fluffy inside and give you hope that maybe there IS some good left in the world (unless you are already too far gone within your dead, cold, skeptic and hipster heart).

Oh and there's a sequel! Yay! (Review doesn't include sequel (vol.3) yet, as only chapter 1 is translated so far.) <<less

First otome game story I ever read, and certainly hooked me onto the genre. The protagonist is lovably dense (dumb) and absolutely hilarious. No one can escape the harem in this one. Best to read if you need something completely non-serious to read and just want a laugh.

There is just something great about a character who so single-mindedly commits herself to any random idea she has.

Very exciting novel, I love how the author lets us see the perspectives of different characters. The protagonist’s personality was also very good because she wasn’t blinded by the idea of “love”. I also love her innocence and was always blind to someone else’s advancements! HAHA
