The story is mainly about how the ML grows up and matures after his injury but from the FL's POV.

Its one of the sweetest love stories on here what I liked about this was that although the FL liked the ML she didn't sell herself short in the end and firmly stated her conditions which the ML obviously already agreed to

Wowie, this was such a good novel even if it was short. I recommend it so much because it's so harsh with reality and the story has some good lessons especially the ship between them too its awsome!

I've started this series because of the 5 stars reviews but I couldn't pass the first chapter.

I don't understand her compassion nor her tenacity to care for someone who abused her physically. I mean, you may deserve a second chance in life but I don't necessarily want to see that silver line given out by the victim. This story has a nice flow and probably touching moments of life lessons but I don't have the stomach to read through it and this kind of trope doesn't bode well with me... more>> after all. I guess I simply abhor this type of MLs and don't want to see them overcome their hardships and be happy. Wow, I'm really bitter, aren't I? Anyways, this one is a hard pass for me. Each for its own. <<less

This is good!! I highly recommend this. It's just a short novel so there's not much exploration on their feelings but the way the story flowed was more than enough for me to be impressed.

The last chapter was the best; especially when

ML expressed his regret that he can't remember our MC. That was a breathe of fresh air as they didn't follow the cliche of "bullying your crush". His reaction right after discovering his wrongdoings was nice as well

I hope to discover another novel such as this with a more explored plot. <<less

Translation: 5/5

Short, but sweet. The MC is adorable, determined, and a bit clueless and the ML grows a lot. Legit cried at the end. Sob.

I really, really enjoyed this story, I have no idea why I was hesitant... but trust me it’s a short story but a lovely one too.

P.S: Does anyone else know of a novel like this? Similar plot (preferably a completed novel if not, that okay).

I didn't like the book at first, but was hooked by the end of part 1 - it's not the typical story about some silly girl who lucks into a rich guy through sheer s*upidity. The main female protagonist is quite hard working and has a goal outside of becoming a wife. And the man does end up redeeming himself in a pretty impressive way.

I read this. And then the next say I read it again. And then I spend several days thinking about it. This is the story of character growth that comes about after great personal loss, and it's told through a character that stands by the side and observes and cares. And there is nothing more poignant than the ending when the titular second master not only recognises what she did for him, but also what he had done to her. Just thinking about it makes my heart hurt a little.

For its length (7 chapters), this is a well-developed story. Our Second Master is literally the tale of the Yang family's second son, told through the eyes of a servant. Overcoming hardship fuels the main plot, but the ultimate byproduct is a heartwarming romance. It definitely won't hurt to give this story a try.

The author does a good job of showing instead of telling, and that makes the character development more meaningful. You can appreciate how different the main characters are, and their imperfections make them feel more like real... more>> people.

I rated this a 4/5 because, while setting the narrator as the Second Master's servant is completely fair, her naivety and lack of education does not give the audience an in-depth view of the whole picture. To put it shortly, she does not think very hard. The servant's perspective may not be the best point of view for certain romance fans to experience the story through. However, it is also good because it is different. Her bluntness does become endearing. That is just how the story is: she gives us the bare bones, and we flesh it out with our own analyses. <<less

This really is short and sweet. The female lead is earnest and dense, while the male lead really comes into his own. The side characters aren't pointlessly vicious, and are pretty believable. While the author didn't go into too much detail regarding the events that drove the story, or even the tragedy that occurs near the start, it honestly worked really well for the narrative. Since the story is told through the perspective of the female lead, who is only focused on what is in front of her, it really... more>> made sense that it lacked that detail, because the detail was put into her and her relationship with the male lead.

I really don't really even *like* stories like this, that leave you with a strong bittersweet feeling, but I walked away feeling pretty satisfied. It's short, so you can't say much without spoiling, but it's well worth the read. <<less

This story is really beautiful, although the writing is not as beautiful as Mulberry Song (sob) the story! My oh my! Its absolutely lovely. The female MC is really funny and the male MC turns out really well. If you're put off by the synopsis just give this a try you'll know.

This short story was refreshing to read. The female lead is simple minded but her dedication and loyalty for second master what I want the most from this story.

Touched of real life ups and down, sweet yet amusing now in the end it is depends on the reader how he/she thought about it.

Read this three times. Short and sweet with a lot of character development. This story doesn't drag with useless and repetitious content. Only, because it is so short, you need to pay attention to each event to get the most out of your reading experience. By the last chapter, you'll feel immensely satisfied.

This is a very short, bittersweet, and slow quiet love story. Worth every second to read. To love someone and be ready to let them go is painful. To realize you found someone precious who was always next to you and you never noticed, could cause you to feel ashamed and not deserving of their care. The story was straight forward about hardships the MC and ML faced, but yet it developed so meaningful showing how the MC and ML grew together and genuinely loved. I could read this again... more>> and again. <<less
