By coincidence, Li Yunmu found a super machine from humanity’s age of darkness. From that point onwards, his ordinary life would never be the same! Aptitude? Innate talent? What are these? Could they be eaten?

I have neither aptitude nor innate skill, but my shadow can level up using hacks. Experience, Ability points, battle prowess… all of them could be hacked. Even while he is asleep or tired, he could still increase his skills.

[Ding, your shadow has killed an ant, you have gained experience points and ability points.] [Ding, your shadow has successfully killed a dragonfly, it dropped a dimensionality box.] Crap, even killing insects can also increase his experience and get him rewards. What else!

This review was written due to my sheer anger and grudge against Qidian's dumb as f*ck ranking system, although I would not be surprised to find that they rigged it considering that there is no possible way something of this quality would be approved by any number of persons. The fact that they delete negative reviews such as mine probably doesn't help, which is why I'm posting it here so people aren't deluded by that meaningless "power ranking" from Qidian.

Let's start of with the first 5 chapters. In those first... more>> 5 chapters alone, the author has tried to squish in damn near every single dumb-as-f*ck wuxia cliche as he humanly could. I understand that no book can be defined by their beginning alone, however the sheer idiocy requires at least a comment so that people know what they're getting in to.

  1. The MC finds himself with a typical middle-ish but declining noble family. Naturally, the father almost immediately finds himself crippled, leaving his family, and the MC, with their reputation and honor stained, something that supposedly drives the MC to change his attitude to be more serious.
  2. The funny part was how in the first 2 chapters, the MC emphasized his laziness, boredom and complete lack of anything resembling a motivation to live on his own capacity. This changes almost immediately after his father is crippled and their future livelihood is threatened. This by itself is not weird, a strong enough shock can and will change someone's personality. However within a span of less than 24 hours? That's not someone maturing, that's someone with a mental problem.
  3. Secondly, in the process of maturing, naturally his cheat, special powers, or hack in this case, plays a massive role. I don't begrugdge a reader's need to feel special by having an MC with a special power, what I DO dislike however, is how this Hack operates. The fact that he finds it by sheer dumb luck is nothing new. The fact that the hack works by giving him what is essentially an immortal clone body that can fight, die and farm experience and whatever else with absolutely no repercussions whatsoever while our dear MC basically kicks back and sips on a mojito is not only new, it's pretty lazy writing.
  4. Due to No. 3, our MC essentially gains power like nobody's business and within 5 chapters, our dude is already blasting aura and power like a goddamn saiyan at the typical, cliche, overused opening ceremony where everyone's power is ranked. This follows long into the story, where it becomes more and more apparent that the MC is abusing the hack like a boss with no risk whatsoever to himself. Simply feeding off the good luck, plot armor and farming his shadow clones give him, way up until he's fighting beasts entire realms above him simply because his shadows are essentially immortals with a resurrection button that's attached with a minor cooldown issue.
  5. Back to the opening ceremony. Naturally everyone around our dear MC will "whisper" very audibly at that, their negative comment, looking down and despising our MC who's noble but not quite noble, powerful but not quite powerful family from a teeny tiny town, in the middle of billion league continent, falling into ruins because his father got crippled. Just as naturally, the moment the MC's unforeshadowed, previously unknown fiancee appears, their comments suddenly turn from how "he suits her so much" to "tr*sh doesn't deserve this jade like, lotus like, peach like, etc etc woman." Now, I know that these despising comments serve to fix the mood, so that everyone can look forward to how satisfying it will feel when the MC eventually slaps them down with TRUE POWAH, however this only really works when its done subtly. When it's done in such a s*upidly blatant manner, where the people around him can't seem to hold their opinion for more than 5 sentences, I stop hoping for a face - slapping, and start wondering if everyone around the MC was born with a concussion.
  6. Next, his aforementioned fiancee that appears out of nowhere. The novel doesn't outright say it, but the way she is portrayed when she comes up to him out of nowhere, and starts saying sorry that she will leave him behind due to his lack of talent, makes it pretty clear that she's supposed to be villain. Note however, that while her tone wasn't even condescending in the least. She was being upright, she knows that her talent is better than his, something he himself admitted barely 4 chapters ago. She knows that with his father crippled, his family will not be able to sustain his needs if he opens his meridians or whatever. She knows that she will be going to a higher tier due to her talent and the rigid-as-f*ck-social-strata where rank apparently matters over everything that the author keeps talking about, but not high enough that she can carry him there. So she's apologizing, without actually saying the word sorry due to her aloof and proud personality. What she doesnt know however, is that the MC has already gone super saiyan, thanks to AFK-Grinding with his new hack. So what does our MC and the "Whispers" around him do? Instantly bad mouth her. The MC even goes one step further and declares mentally that the two of them are now strangers and cuts their childhood bond just like that because "SUPER HACK". You know what's the best part though? That buddy that stuck by him in that chapter that also supposedly had no talent and is promptly forgotten in later chapters until somewhere around 80? The MC does EXACTLY what his childhood sweet heart was trying to do. He even lampshades it by saying, "His talent and mine have a large gap. I will send money to him for his loyalty now that I'm swimming in cash that my clones farmed for me because that's all I can do." f*ck, that's cold man. As cold as irony.
There are a shitton more I could say, but this is all WITHIN THE FIRST 5 CHAPTERS alone. The sheer brainless, s*upid as f*ck, plot armor level thickness cheat and lazy writing infuriates me, especially when there are genuinely good novels on Qidian but are buried by the macho, DOMINEERING MANLY novels like this one. <<less

Whoever talks about racism in this novel, did you even read past first word "black"? Though the story, characters and worldbuilding are all shit. It is noticeable after reading 300 chapters and looking back.

MC's cheat is worthless. He barely manages to keep up with others. And even that is only because of his heavenly luck and constant fortuitous encounters. Randomness and s*upidity of forced plots is aggravating. I'm dropping this piece of dung.

This is a terrible novel. It was good at first since the cheat item are unique and pretty cool. But the story when downhill fast. The MC suddenly changed in one night because his father lost his legs in war. And I like his previous personality better. Then he become a full ret*rd. Killing people just for exp. He killed all those dwarf witches and invited a calamity. A lot of innocent people die and he just shrugged it off and said "many must labour for one to succeed".

This ret*rded... more>> MC keep on saying he needs to kept his power a secret but pretty much everyone in that world knows how OP he is already because he can't keep his ego in check.

The number of fluxer are small and they are the hope of their town. But bam the MC killed one of his classmate because the classmate challenge him to a duel. And everyone blame his classmate because it's his fault to be weak. Again, s*upid reasoning.

All characters in this novels are moron. They keep on hating the MC for no reason other than to get the plot going.

Weird thing is this novel get 1st place in qidian ranking. Showing that the readers in qidian really have sh*t taste. <<less

Just your typical self fulfillment, face slapping, and avg MC hitting obtaining some life shattering cheat becoming OP. This is currently ranked #1 on current power rankings which I find laughable as there's only 20 chapters and nothing about this story really pop outs to me so far. It's an okay novel for now in my opinion and can go either way later on. 2.5/5

MC finds a old machine which he bought for cheap at a store, boots it on and sees a message at which he thought was some... more>> kind of scam, but he clicks yes anyway and poof, now he somehow is able to use his shadow to fight monsters, people and gain experience. After a few fights he got lucky, yet again and obtains a rank A skill book which has like a 1 out of blue moon of dropping. Throughout this novel, you'll see many tr*sh sneering and looking down on the MC, only to get their ass handed to them or faceslapped and probably lots of "lucky" drops as well.

Someone mentioned that the writer is racist..I loled. The writer is more ignorant than racist, I doubt he's seen many black people in China or travel often, so he goes by how others may see them as. <<less

I'm a sucker for game element style novels, so I thought I'd give this one a try. Initial concept is hard to swallow; after that, for a while it is oddly compelling :P

The main stumbling block this novel has in my opinion is that it becomes waaaaaaay too unbalanced. The structure and rankings that was part of the world building in earlier chapters is thrown out of the window, and the author seems to want to keep it that way for some reason.

Spoiler

While at the peak of the first power level, MC is able to kill 100 beasts of the 3rd step, 5 beasts of the 4th step, and one of the 5th step WITHOUT EVEN GETTING AN INJURY. O_o (Those beasts all came in one wave, not sequentially mind you). Rephrasing that into the traditional xianxia cultivation realm to help put things in perspective, MC while at peak Qi Refining killed 100 King Dan, 4 Nascent Soul, and 1 Spirit Severing beast. It's crazy!

MC still keeps getting powerups tho. In the case of humans, who should have a Flux Armor / shield corresponding to their level, a 1st step shouldn't have enough pure flux energy to get past the armor of a 4th step. The MC is able to do it tho for some unclear reasons.

At one point you keep wondering why the MC is still at the 1st step because he should have accumulated the necessary crystals for that rank up a long time ago. Then the author puts out a line where MC says he wants to stay at the 1st step because the that way the multiplier for Tower Coin drop rate in Tower of Glory is much higher. (Tower of Glory is a place with 108 floors, with each floor having tougher monsters. The items that can be received in exchange for Tower Coins are very rare). Seriously? Such a lame reason for letting the MC be massively underestimated by near everyone while secretly being able to roflstomp them?

So far I kinda feel the averageness in this novel. And that is of course not a good thing.

At first and of course even further into the novel I got a really bad vibe regarding ethnicities since the author seems to kinda disregard and bias any other ethnicity besides the asian one.

The world seems also to be revolving around china somehow. That is truthfully speaking also bias. China would be with high certainty one of the most damaged countries if such comets hit.

... more>> the plot isnt any better.

Oh well, I will stay tuned and depending what I feel about this novel after 100 chapters I will update my review. But one thing is certain: For what I saw, it does not deserve the high #ranking it gets.

2/5 stars (15 chapters)

EDITED REVIEW following below:

Alright, after re-reading this novel from the start I actually start to like the novel even if for reading out of boredom. And since I wanted to update my review: here it is.

I was negativ on the aspect of too much bias at the start of the novel. That is still true and remains so. Unless the author changes things like he seems to like to do...

So the start of this novel may scare people away cause it doesnt really impress well with its way of written content

Actually the way some things are written may induce confusion (also anger) in readers since they are just plastered in into the story and dont really sync well to the plot at that given time for example when MCs chilhood friend or his sister are introduced... you will know what I mean after reading.

Then we got the character development problem. Just writing that someone matured and changed without anyone knowing how the character actually was before that change is just useless. Its just kinda annoying to read to be precise and lets the character seem completely the opposite - immature. That I still think btw.

The ideas of this novel are okay even though confusing. There are earth, virtual world and other layers of dimension. never really explained though. I still thought that the castle was on earth somewhere north and headed to central continent but it actually cruised around another dimension. Details.... yes that is what is actually missing in a lot of situations. Details, they are important.

The last thing is the pace. Totally all over the place. Is he progressing fast or not I dont know since you never get told what is actually strong what is not. At some points he is depicted strong but at others totally weak wich is just ridiculous but if this continues at this snail ass pace after 72 chapters I guess it will remain like that. rembering that he needs training for 3 years and that only about 2 months went by is concerning.

i will still stay tuned. for now still only 2/5 for this novel. I kinda enjoy it but that doesnt mean the bad things disappear.

2.5/5 80 (chapters)

Last Edit I make:

Story seems to become more stable as time passes (stagnates). if one comes over the first few hurdels it actually can entertain to some extent. Guess it is a normal read. There probably willl not change much anymore and I give it a solid 3/5 after 300 chapters in. <<less

Thorougly unmemorable xianxia tripe. I had some interest early on because of the futuristic setting and the reasonably interesting system, but the author failed to take advantage of such settings.

So. This is what you get:

- poor world-building
- completely forgettable supporting cast
- poorly thought out system
- unremarkable MC
- no villains to speak of
- no interesting philosophical topics
- mediocre combat
- no backstory worth mentioning
- inconsistent power systems
- a low-intelligence world, that is to say, everybody is s*upid

I'm not a huge fan of xianxia/xuanhuan... more>> novels in the first place, but if they're your cup of tea, there are at least dozens of lengthy ones that are significantly better. The story appears to be on a steady downward slope at that. I managed to enjoy the first 40-odd chapters, was disappointed from 40-60, and downright disliked 60-80.

In short, relentlessly formulaic, tawdry pulp fiction.

At this point, the only thing that could save this novel is a massive out-of-nowhere plot twist, like his system actually being a sentient AI using him as a meat puppet to take over the world, with a chapter cooly thanking him for his service as it cuts his throat and replaces him with a shadow puppet, "As a matter of fact, I can do that, Dave Li Yunmu."

It'd be cheap and dumb, but it'd be more interesting than what this novel has in store for the next 400-odd chapters before its readership has withered away enough for the author to start a new story.

This story started off amazing well then the Author puts a break on the plot for some reason. Suddenly its incredible noticeable when the MC joins a team and it takes several chapters just to leave the area to get into a carriage to hunt for monsters, which will takes another couple of chapters. It got to the point, where I was skipping chapters because nothing happened in them. And with each chapter I skipped, my interest in this story decreased as well.

As others mentioned, this story was ok at the beginning. Not a particularly well done story, but not horrible either. However it very quickly becomes a story of wish fulfillment, where the MC is constantly supremely leveling up. That didn't really bother me though either. More boring then anything. What finally got me to drop it, was when the author decided to have the MC simply mu*der one of his teammates in chapter 68. Beginning of chapter 69, a girl is complaining that he mu*dered him, and he can't be... more>> bothered to listen to the insane girl anymore. I suddenly am thinking, wait, she is insane? For pointing out your psychotic mu*derous impulses right? I simply couldn't stomach any more after that point.

One other thing that in particular that annoyed me, is when on multiple occasions the author changed what he wrote mere paragraphs before. Such as when his shadow didn't die even once, yet 2 paragraphs later, says it died twice. What?!? Also, plot points being changed later in the story, as the author decides he want the story to go a different direction. <<less

This is a weak to strong wish fulfilment story, quite entertaining if you're not looking for depth.

The MC stumbles upon a cheat cultivation that does all the work for him and that's not a problem in itself for me. The problem is that the MC that has been "tr*sh" up to a few days ago becomes immediately a bully and becomes a psychopath soon after.

I can't identify with such a SOB, I dropped the story which was a tentative 3 stars in my book until this point.

Spoiler

The only redeeming feature of the MC is that he doesn't forget his loving parents (so far)

On the other hand, he doesn't have a problem bullying and taking advantage of the weak (never even stops to wonder if the energy he's taking from vanquished adversaries in training matches will hurt their future cultivation).

And the straw that broke the camel back for me was when after having transformed for everyone a training first expedition into a deathtrap where the casualties became unprecedented, he shrugged it off immediately with the following pearl of wisdom: "Many must labour for one to succeed!"

Btw, the monsters he chose to massacre to farm xp were sentient beings. And again, he had no moral problem killing their entire race, it never even occured to him to try to communicate...

[collapse]

The MC is already a monster, so the author is an idiot, I'll probably avoid his other works too. <<less

At first it wasn't even THAT bad, only somewhat average, but with time annoying things kept on pilling up.

Spoiler

MC is making decisions without any planning ahead. He kept on telling how he must keep his powers hidden till he is sufficiently strong and yet few chapters later goes ahead and becomes known to the whole world as one of the strongest fluxers ever. There was no real reason for that, just because he wanted to get some items...

The most annoying things happened in few last chapters. MC pulled out of nowhere ultrastrong artifact that saves the day- sure, why not you may ask? Yes, having it is not the problem, problem is the fact that it appears out of nowhere, 0 foreshadowing or explaining before that that our hero have ever done anything to get that item. It just appears and then author proceeds to explain how MC acquired it one night earlier.

[collapse]

I hate stuff like that, to me it looks like lousy writing and planning. If he acquired item earlier then we should have description, or even a small note that MC went somewhere to do smthg, not have item appear out of thin air later on. <<less

I was wondering why this novel got into the rankings despite its 2.9 rating, so curiosity led me to reading this novel.

Well, let me just say that the plot is really not that bad. It is the typical 'cultivation' path where he shocks the world because of how fast he advances (due to a cheat ofc).

The problem is how this novel is written. Everyone literally has nothing better to do except to gossip online. When the MC gets into trouble, the people online go "He is dead this time because... more>> blah blah". When he survives, they say "Impossible! I don't believe it. But the other OP people say otherwise so it must be true." And this happens again and again.

And there is a paragraph there that says "MC is stunned. A is stunned. B is stunned as well. Everybody is stunned". WF?¿ who writes that way? <<less

Fun and comedic in the beginning, but goes downhill pretty fast. MC is in a world which has fluxers. These fluxers are somewhat similar to cultivators in a Xianxia.

Out of nowhere MC acquires a supreme cheat system. It is a supreme mother of all cheats, created by humanity back in the dark ages. Of course, one wonders if humanity had the supreme cheat system back in the day, why did they loose to monsters in the first place. The cheat system makes things too easy. Way too easy. So easy its boring. And that's just how this novel is. Bland and boring.

As of chapter 78, the MC mu*dered a fellow fluxer for no other reason than he could, which is why I quit reading.

The writer manager to create an interesting world with an interesting cultivation system. And even used comedy very well in the beginning. Suddenly, however, his MC turned in to a Yun Che/Li Qiye style pyschotic mass mu*dering ret*rd. Meh.

A big heaping helping of Meh.

This is my review of Generic Chinese Cultivation Novel #10, 224, Otherwise known as Shadow Hack.

Joking aside, if that line above didn't clue you in, this is generic, it's basically the same exact plot of almost every other CN with cultivation. Our special flavor of the day is an illogical and unexplained hacking system that came out of a computer made from the Dark Ages (Which I am pretty sure is just modern earth) the hacking system evolves out of the computer and becomes a... more>> disembodied cheat system that follows the MC, because the author found having him actually need to interface with a computer to cheat was too difficult for his juvenile writing style.

Lets talk about this hack, because it's the main concept behind the story.

The hacking system uses the MC's shadow to go around killing things so he can get exp which translates into cultivation resources. Eventually, it becomes an advanced AI with scanning features that can act on it's own if it thinks the MC is missing something.

The shadow can learn and get better, but the MC can also manually control the shadows.

Alrighty, lets talk about the MC

He's a generic CN MC, borderline psychotic, and borderline mentally ret*rded. This is just standard for CNs, but it's worth mentioning that he goes from being lazy and foolish, to hardworking mu*der master in a week. Seriously, if all Chinese people can relate to this characters, that means that at least a significant portion of the Chinese population is just waiting for the chance to slaughter all of the people who might have looked at them funny in the past.

And finally, the setting and world.

The world is pretty confusing and poorly explained. We've got the real world, and then the different dimensional worlds. And half dimensional worlds too. Oh, and a virtual world, because why not?

So the MC lives on earth, but becomes a cultivator, and moves to the half 5th-dimensional world. Earth is presumably the 4th-dimensional world? Maybe? Who knows? On the half 5th dimensional world, he fights half dimensional monsters, but occasionally monsters from the real 5th dimension show up, and they're stronger. There's also a 6th, and 7th dimension and I'd guess an 8th and more, but we haven't heard about them yet.

His family is just a normal family, so they can't go to the half 5th-dimensional world, and he needs to spend a boatload of money to go back to earth, so he buys a house in the virtual world, where time is 3 times faster... because of reasons...

So yeah, that made little sense.

Now, here's my real issue with this story.

It's generic, it's bland, it's been done a million times.

The MC is ret*rded, but that's standard for CNs, the other characters are likewise, ret*rded, but again, that's standard.

The world is confusing and poorly explained, Every CN makes their own random setting with cultivation levels, and they never make any sense, but this one is particularly strange. The power levels go, and I think this is right, Crystal, Black, Silver, Gold, Rainbow. Crystal being the weakest, rainbow the strongest.

Except, there's something above rainbow, because once you exceed rainbow, you can't stay in the 5th-dimensional world, and are forced to go up to the 6th.

Also, monsters follow this system too, but they're just inherently stronger? Maybe? Who knows?

This story isn't bad, but it's not great either. <<less

Just leaving this here so that I can come back a month later and either raise it up to the heavens or eff it in its waste product disposal hole with a red hot iron rod.

Final edit:

I'm done with this. It starts going down at a certain point (the first training part or whatever) and then just keeps going downhill. The characters are incredibly s*upid. The story is full of holes and inconsistencies. The "different type" of face slapping is still the same old meaningless face-slapping filler that most xianxia... more>> novels suffer from. Novels like this are why my friends hesitated to visit China when I asked them to. They make you believe that the average IQ of the people in China is lower than the dumbest of animals (and Trumps :v). But don't believe xianxia s*upidity. Chinese people are smart. Except for the vast majority of xianxia authors that write sh*t like this. <<less

The good:

I will start with, This novel plot is very interesting, the shadow hack system is just that, a hack, a cheat, and does everything what you would expect from it, it makes the MC soar into the sky of "cultivation", making the MC so overpowered that in a short amount of time (2 months) nobody under the sky can do anything about it.

The shadow clon and the automatic leveling makes the MC able to fight off the monster that are invading after the meteorite fall that change the Earth.

Sadly... more>> this is the only good thing I can say about it.

The bad:

Good Lord, nobody here has half brain cell, no the MC, no the Fluxers, no the Sages, not the Temples, not the ivory AI Tower, tailor made so the MC could deux vault the plot every time something is slightly bad for him.

Spoiler

The MC goes from chapter to chapter "System what should I do now" whichever the system ALWAYS replay "Use the Absolute POWER Luke" OMG no sh*** Sherlock

Remember the meteorite? Well good for you, because nobody else does.

Remember the monsters that are invading earth? Well fu*** that, let's go to other dimensions to kill each other of out greed, while we are technically still at war with other beings, don't worry Earth is fu*** after all.

Remember how the father becomes a cripple because he was fighting the in the front lines? NO BODY DOES, and where are this "front lines" any way?.

Remember how the MC is in the army? And he was shipped to the fifth dimension so he could get stronger? Fu*** that, here not are any central powers, there is no body guiding humanity to fight the war, every man for himself "ABSOLUTE POWER" is everything, oh right you can't be on this dimension... What? Yes he's you are too powerful, Soo move on to the next dimension, don't let the door hit you in your way out.

What are Monsters and why they hate humanity and are attacking it? HAHAHA what? are you waiting for an explanation? Fu*** that! There's not any, no wait, there is one, Monsters are just mindless creatures, just EXP bags, and loot boxes, so they MC can get some "emotions" from time to time, I don't need to explain what emotions are right? I am sure of you read this you should be sheltering some emotions.

MC don't have or feel any emotions, what so ever. No fear, no happiness, no love (he is above that at what? 14 years age? Sure sure), of course, that would not stop the MC from saying he felt "something" but let's be real, as the reader, if you did not feel any emotion while reading the chapter the MC may as well feel like a block of wood for you, if I tell you, I am very happy after reading this novel, would you believe? The only believe emotion are only cheers when the Almighty System breaks the stablish system know by man, again and again, until you stop caring or stop reading, what ever comes first.

And not to mention the level System is broken beyond salvation, as MC can kill pinnacle fluxer with a finger just because his skills are too over power, sure if you skills are in level 99 and you are level 1 you can kill some one on level 99 because your skill is level 50, right, how if this works again? No time for explanation, here comes our first BOSS, and with my infinite knock back kick I kill him, yup with kicks, he kills the boss, doesn't he gets tired? Nup, infinite kicks, he wins... Just like that.

Then when the MC levels up himself to level 99 NOW all the people he just kill, that where the TOP of that dimension, now they where just tr*sh, tr*sh that you can find any where on the streets, soooo the MC can be put into an slightly disadvantage, but don't worry though, the SYSTEM, the Almighty System of absolute power is here to save the day again.

Oh we also had a virtual world, where you can live and buy everything you need, well not everything, FedEx don't ships to the fifth dimension, and you can even participate in mock battles, and train your skill, but... you know what is the real purpose of the virtual world?, Do you wanna know? The virtual world only purpose is too feed points into the system, yup, that's it, it's only purpose is so the MC has another medium to earn points, with the down side of making more enemy's though, don't worry the MC doesn't care about almost anything.

Sigh, but you know what is the worse part, you wanna know the worse part? Is the endless comments written in forums that discuss how "this time for sure" the MC piss off someone he shouldn't had and this time he is done for, "for sure" this time.

I don't know you, but, when I read a novel, I try to care for the MC and his companions and overall the PLOT, and this kind of BS where first and foremost, the author takes away or stops the plot, to write how this time for sure the MC is really gonna get it, and how all other Fluxers before where just tr*sh, and this new and improved Fluxer (which are for most of their time hidden in a cave to improve their cultivation and nobody should know about them, as they are they most secret and powerful weapon of FluxDestruction and they are the real deal) just to proven wrong shortly after, and where you know, nothing, absolutely nothing is going to happen to the MC again and again, I just stop caring.

Lets give you an example, in CCG you care about the MC you care that he could get hurt, and hope he somehow can make it through intact, you can know his emotions without the MC saying them, and you care about his companions can get hurt, even when you know most of the time not is going to happen to them, and they will be ok because the MC is acting as the lighting road for them, in Shadow hack, the MC companions are just servants, meat shields, as everything he needs is "ABSOLUTE POWER" and the Almighty System, everything els is tr*sh in his eyes.

And in CCG the chat they use to talk meanless stuff doesn't take away from the plot and it is fun to read, I could read 1888 chapters of CCG but I can't even read more that 199 of Shows Whacks

Great! At least the rating in Novel Update and the reviews were real, not like in Qidian which bullsh*t to the end about this novel. I admit that each person has their own taste, but surely this novel is too much to put into your taste. So many flaws, I mean this Author just wrote what was on his mind, didnt care about other's opinions as long as he was happy about his novel. World Building, Character, Plot, Background, etc., I'm afraid that the author didnt know these things.

and the... more>> last, pardon my words, I mean no offense. <<less

Inconsistency, inconsistencies, and more of them. I've been face palm so many times while reading this novel.

Who would thought our Mc's principle to live low key blown in just a couple of chapter because of his ego? Me neither.

Who would thought anyone in this world are so dumb, that they know how much crystal flux got by Mc's and his efficiency absorbing them, but don't know how much he has opened. And didn't find it strange why the number didn't add up. Me neither

Who would thought after MC kill one... more>> of their classmate, the chemistry of the class didn't change? And his former teammates apologized for it. <<less

what happened?

At first the writing was well paced, fleshed out nicely, and it was well deserving of its #1 rank. But somewhere down the line the author decided to slow the pacing of the story to a crawl. As a minor spoiler the main character becomes extremely strong, then later goes to a world where he's nothing impressive. I recall when this first started the translator was so excited he would do 4-5 chapters per day. I left this story when it became a slow filler filled trope many chapters... more>> ago.

When I came back I was disappointed to find out the translator also became so demotivated he cut back. We might get a chapter a day if we're lucky.

Overall the plot has become excess wuxia action garbage, the main character has made increasingly alien decisions to not take advantage of a system that automatically makes him exponentially stronger. <<less

Its mine first review so I hope I do it well and sorry for bad English ;)

Ok first of all story is simply bad. As to why.... in my opinion, with what I have read until now... it is enough for me to say it. The provided material and focus of story is totally weird. Author got a grate idea but he ruined it in first 20+ chapters. You got a world that is strange. I do not get it how humans survive in first place because they are... more>> not united or even work together (at least not allot of info about it) its rule of the strong and as it seems everyone is evil. I havent found one GOOD guy/girl/cat/dog/chicken or even a ghost in this story that is good. conversation between people is strange.

Lets not jump all around ill start with MC. Year is 2500+ as I figured maybe i`m wrong, you got Li yunmu a 16 y/o average or ordinary guy who sit at home and play games as we know from chapter 1 and he is asked "[Do you want to understand the meaning of your life? Do you really want to be alive?]" after everything start to fall apart. He get OP power just like that... long lost battle techniques, flux energy and a lot of other stuff witch I wont spoil later in story witch is ridiculous... The main problem with MC that this power changes his personality totally. He acts like hes righteous or author wants him to be, sadly hes not with actions he does. He is more villain then hero. And I think people would love this story more if it was like that sadly it is not.

World build is ridiculous because author just bomb us with dimension world and we got even VR world and explain little about both we are even not sure what happen with earth in first place expect its apocalypse something like that...i cant bother to put energy in studying it. There is just too little info and he progress like a BOSS. We are told he goes in some dimension, then he is not really there but in some other world. I MEAN ITS GETS ridiculous that ur mind is blown. And I dont like spoiling allot.

Characters or should I say support cast is weird and you will forget most of them easily and when something does need explanation author can just pull something to fit the story because we are not told allot about any of them just because of that author, most of the times, uses characters to fit them in a way that will fit in story by force. My english is not that good so I cant explain it well but I think you can notice it when u cant recall any of their names expect some from recent times. IMO (in my opinion) characters should be there to build the story not to be material for unreasonable explanation of author for stuff he pull out of his...

I`m felling really regretful to see good idea getting ruined. The only thing that is good about this story is idea of story itself but sadly it is not well written and I got the felling the more we get of this kinda of story the more we will suffer as readers. The foundation of story is ruined and u cant fix that in late parts by pulling it out of your... author :D

I can understand this story only if this is his first story. If it is, then it would explain allot of things and I do hope to see more from him because he got good ideas. He should just use this novel to build his domain of storytelling and I do hope he/she will improve and we will get a really good story in future but this one is not it.
